I made a speed detection "device" using 2 laser pointers and 2 LDR sensors connected to an Arduino UNO.

Building the schematics is very easy.

The resistors are used as pull-down resistors and I wired the sensors and put them in a case, to avoid them detecting surrounding light. For each case, a hole was drilled so

University project teaser

For this product we had to make a teaser (to tease our teachers) before the final presentations.

The teaser should be a bit teasing and makes you want to know more about the product if not event own one. Also, it should reveal small info about the character of the product.

I took a break from photography since my university studies require a lot of time this semester.
Soon I will post some tutorials on Arduino and Flash, after I will have a working project.

Chevrolet Miray or how to be aggressive, sexy and ugly. Its appearance made me think at Alien and Predator in the same time, technology and ugliness, appeal and aggressive look; a bizarre combination that makes it attractive.

Probably the ugliest car at IAA 2011, according to my taste, is made by the French company Citroen. Tubik is its name … a bit too shiny and maybe good for a Chanel cat-walk rather than for street. Please enjoy this interesting car design!

No mirrors, just video-cameras

Is an ugly car but the shapes are nice

It decides how much light is needed to adequately expose your picture. So it should come as no surprise to learn that cameras distinguish themselves by the kind of meter they use. Some meters are better than others at metering a scene and applying the

Photography rules (4)

Using the exposure modes
Every digital camera on the market makes it easy to take quick-and-dirty snapshots using an automatic exposure mode. Automatic exposure is great much of the time, but when you want to get a little more creative you may need to adjust the exposure settings.
Usually digital cameras have automatic exposure modes as well as manual, priority, and program settings. Here’s

Photography rules (3)

Depth of field refers to the region of proper focus that is available in any photographic image. Usually this is not a thin region of proper focus in an image; instead, there’s some distance in front and behind the subject that will also be in focus. This entire region of sharp focus is

Photography rules (2)

If the rule of thirds is followed to the letter, probably this mistake won’t appear.Probably you have seen photographs in which the horizon is right in the middle of the photograph. Actually, the photographer probably did not make a conscious decision to do this.Running the horizon right through the middle of a photograph is boring

Photography rules (1)
