Vocabulary, the magic word that attracts many swarming bees to the classroom is going to crumble and kneel down before you, just like the 6 pack Abs on the hero makes the villains fall on the face, if you just try to understand this.

I knew a friend in school who used to memorize 10 words from dictionary each day with the aim to improve vocabulary. I am getting 'Memorize 10000 words' advertisement on the way to my class, every alternate day, as I am walking through an alley full of competitive examination coaching centers.

My own Institution has a wonderful Anglo-Indian teacher Mr David Williams who astonish and amaze us by juggling with the words. He has his peculiar word maps which connects different sets of words and helps us to memorize lot of words in a go.

I always had wondered how to improve my vocabulary since I was praised for choosing the words in an invitation for my father's colleague. I prepared an Invitation for a Legal Seminar, and choose some classical words like 'edification' instead of 'education', and everyone was impressed. I observed the power of vocabulary and wanted to memorize words from that day. I devised many plans, alas none worked.

Later I came into this industry of education and found out some interesting and charming words hidden in elementary school textbooks which we had studied in childhood. The first word I remembered from NCERT Text books was 'vicissitude'. I read it in book early in the morning, liked the word and went to the class. The class was by a veteran teacher who was as old as the oceans and was too much obsessed with his powers, and never minded our yawns. I wrote a poem in a piece of paper about boring class and passed it to the friends. It had the word 'vicissitude'. Since that day I remember that word like a part of my life I never can forget.

Now I have the key to learning vocabulary. My Idea is very simple. Find a word in a context from where you elicit its meaning, Confirm it from dictionary, use the word in a poem or sentence, and once more say that word to someone, on the same day again.

You may not study 10000 words per day. But You can study 20-30 words per day, and even if you study only 5-10 words per day I think it will be great.

Start Your Exercise: Find the words which you don't know in this passage, and work on it. I shall come up with more words later.

Ensure you have scanned images of photograph and signature in .jpg format, each of which should not exceed 40 KB in size and must not be less than 3 KB in size for the photograph and 1 KB in size for the signature.
For photograph, the pixel size is 140 pixels height x 110 pixels width and for signature it should be 110 pixels height x 140 pixels width scanned at 200 dpi.

The candidate should scan his/her signature, which has been put on white paper with Black Ink pen.

Article 21 has the widest amplitude in The Indian Constitution. Explain

India being a nation which guarantees Fundamental rights through constitution & having a keen and proactive judiciary, shows the best example of constitutionalism in governance.

The Article 21 of Fundamental rights provides the right of 'Life and Personal Liberty' to all Indians. Supreme court judgement in Chakma Migrants case undoubtedly extended it to aliens, and even illegal migrants.

With liberal interpretations of the Article 21, the judiciary has inferred various Human Rights, elseways unmentioned in the constitution to be included in this article.

Judiciary has made it clear that Article 21 is right to a dignified life and not just an animal existence, and hence included principles of natural justice, right to education, right to pollution free water and air etc in its ambit.

It also protects people from executive encroachment by right against domiciliary visit by police at night, right against handcuffing unless there is clear and persistent danger of breaking out of custody, and right to free legal aid and speedy trial.

The right to Health and medical assistance forms an inalienable part of right to life and it ensures the professional obligation of Medical Professionals to provide service at exigencies with out formalities.

Various women rights like right to bear child and protection against sexual harassment is also inferred from this article.

With a wider view and definition of the terms 'life' and 'personal liberty' judiciary ensures most of human rights through constitution, including some hitherto undeclared ones.

In Competitive Examinations like Civil Services, writing answers within or not much away from specified word limits is important. It is impossible to count the words written, but an experienced examiner can understand a variation of more than 10% just by seeing the paper.

You have to understand that a same question asked for 250 words this year may be asked for 150 words next year or as a 20 word next to next year. Answering Very Shortly

Many competitive examinations have very short answer questions which demands us to answer in 20 or 30 words. We usually define what is asked in one sentence and gets satisfied. But it is highly insufficient as the aim of examiner is to test your ability to compress maximum information into very small sentence.

The right approach to such questions is to give maximum number of points in as much close to word limits as possible. Consider each point fetches you about half mark if there is a 20 words question, and maximum mark is 2.

Try to make your answer as complete as possible with regarding to 6 question words. 5 Wives 1 Husband (5W1H). What, When, Where, Who, Why & How are to be addressed as much as possible.

India being the biggest democracy with due respect to human rights, provided many fundamental rights in its constitution.

The right of life and personal liberty guaranteed by Article 21 is an non-suspendable right and even made available to illegal migrants by judiciary.

With liberal interpretations of provisions apex court has added various inferred rights into the terms 'life' and 'personal liberty'.

Judiciary made it clear that right to life is right to dignified life and hence includes right to education, right to pollution free environment, and principles of natural justice.

The right against handcuffing and inhuman treatment by police, right to health and medical assistance etc ensures accountability from personnel and professionals. Various women rights like right against sexual harassment is also incorporated into this.

Tests of Divisibility

One of the most common type of question in competitive objective questions is to identify the number divisible by another number. If the numbers are huge it is not practical to divide and find in limited time available for a question. The tests of divisibility comes to your help in this scenario.

Two : Remember, All even numbers are divisible by two.
Three : If the sum of digits is divisible by 3, the numeral is also divisible by three.
Four : If the last two digits arranged as a separate numeral is divisible by four, the whole numeral is also divisible by four.
Five : All numbers with five or zero as the last digit is divisible by five.
Six : All even numbers divisible by three are divisible by six.
Eight : Numeral formed by last three digits are divisible by eight.
Nine : Sum of the digits of the numeral is divisible by nine.
Ten : All the numbers ending with zero.
Eleven : A number with sum of alternate digits divided from sum of rest of the digits is either zero or multiple of 11.

A composite number with two co-prime numbers as factors can divide another number which is divisible by both its factors.

Understanding The Question

You may know many things about a topic and you may be fortunate enough to get the same question in exam. You will be satisfied that you wrote everything, will feel happy and in the end may be disappointed to know you didn't qualify when the results come. Understanding what to write about the things asked in question is very important in competitive examinations.

You have to carefully read the question, specifically underlining what exactly is asked by examiner. Analyze the sentence construction, understand the 'Question Word' used and use your brain to know how to answer each question.

Questions can be broadly classified into six types. Each needs a different approach in answering.(You may see the presentation)

First type of questions are purely 'Factual Questions' which you need to answer by giving exact facts about the topic asked. This type of questions are seldom asked in competitive examinations. You need to just state things as it is in such questions - 'What it is'. These types of questions usually use List down, Mention, Narrate, Enumerate, State, Outline, Indicate, Classify, Identify, Present, Give etc as the question words.

Next type of questions has 'Implied Demand for Explanation'. As there is no explicit demand for explanation many candidates fail to explain properly in such questions and get only low marks. You have to say what it is and why it is so in the answer. This 'why' is implied part of question. Elaborate, Expand, Give an account of, Describe, Write an essay, Go into details are the common question words used in such types of questions.

The third type of question 'Demands Explanation Explicitly'. In these questions we have to explain details of topic asked very clearly. Such questions can be identified by words Justify, Demonstrate, Substantiate, Explain, Illustrate, Elucidate, Bring out, Account for, Give reasons, Differentiate etc in the question. You have to answer what, why and how in these questions.

There is another type of question which asks you for explanation, but need for critical analysis is hidden in it. We can say the there is 'Implied Demand for Criticism'. They are indicated by words Examine, Analyze, Discuss, Debate as the interrogative word. Here what, why and how is explicitly asked along with implied need to say Why not and How not.

The questions which asks you to 'Directly Criticize' the topic may come with Critically Analyze, Assess, Evaluate, Review, Comment etc as question words. Here you have to say why not and how not more clearly.

The last type of question 'Demands Complete Understanding' of the topic and you need to write everything you know about it. Construct, Attempt, Formulate etc are the words which indicate this type of questions.

Digits, Numerals and Number sets

The signs which we use to denote counts, 0,1,2,...,8,9 are called digits and the numbers using more than one digits is called numerals.
Each digit in a numeral has a place value and Face Value. Face value is the exact value of that digit, and Place value is the value of the position of the digit in a particular numeral.

For example Place value of digits in a numeral 245387692 is given below.

The number sets are named differently according to the properties.
Natural numbers are numbers starting from one like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, .....
Whole numbers are numbers starting from '0' continuing through 1,2,3,...
'0'is the only whole number which is not a natural number.
Integers are the set of numbers including negative numbers. The negative numbers indicates numbers less than zero. For eg: -1 is one less than zero.
So integers can be classified as negative integers, positive integers and zero. They can be represented as a number line as shown below.

Even numbers includes every alternate number which is divisible by 2.
2, 4, 6, 8, 10...

Odd Numbers are the alternate numbers which cannot be divided by 2.
1, 3, 5, 7, 9, ...
Prime Numbers are those numbers which cannot be completely divided by any number other than 1 and that number itself.
They are not multiples of any other number.

Prime numbers upto 100 : 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, 97.

Composite Numbers are all the other numbers except prime numbers which can be expressed as multiples of some prime numbers.

'1' is neither prime not composite and '2' is the only even prime number

സച്ചിയേട്ടന്‍ (സച്ചിദാനന്ദന്‍ ) ഒരു സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജീവനക്കാരന്‍ ആണ്. കുടുംബസമേതം ഞങ്ങളുടെ അയല്‍വാസി. ഭാര്യയും, സ്കൂളില്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു മക്കളും ആയി സ്വന്തമായി വീട് വാങ്ങി താമസിക്കുന്നു.

എന്ത് കാര്യത്തിലും സച്ചിയേട്ടന്‍ വളരെ ശക്തമായ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാവും. വാദിക്കാന്‍ പോയാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ പിടിച്ച മുയലിനു മൂന്നു കൊമ്പ് എന്ന രീതിയില്‍ നമ്മളെ നിഷ്പ്രഭമാക്കുന്ന വാഗ്ധോരണി. കഴിയുന്നതും ഞങ്ങള്‍ രാഷ്ട്രീയം, സാമൂഹികം, സമകാലീനം ആയ സംഭവങ്ങള്‍ സച്ചിയേട്ടനുമായി ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു പോന്നു.

മുംബയില്‍ തീവ്രവാദി ആക്രമണം നടന്ന സമയം. രാവിലെ പത്തരയോടെ ക്ളാസ്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞു വന്ന എന്നോട് റഷീദു ഭായി ആണ് പറഞ്ഞത് മുംബൈ ആക്രമണ വിവരം. കമാന്റോകളെ, അവര്‍ ഹെലികോപ്ടറില്‍ തൂങ്ങി ഇറങ്ങുന്നത്, ഒക്കെ ടിവിയില്‍ ലൈവ് ആയി കാണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്നും കേട്ടു. പേപ്പറിലെ വാര്‍ത്ത വായിച്ചെങ്കിലും പോര!!!

ടിവി കാണണം, ടിവി കാണണം, എന്ന ചിന്ത കലശലായി. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ ആയ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് എവിടുന്നാ ടിവി. ഞാന്‍ ഒരു ഐഡിയ ഇട്ടു. സച്ചിയെട്ടന്റെ വീട്!!!

'അല്ല മൂപര്‍ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടാവോ?' എന്ന് ആശങ്ക റഷീദു ഭായി വക. ഇയ്യതൊന്നും നോക്കണ്ടാ എന്ന് ഞാനും. അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ സച്ചിയേട്ടന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക്.

അവിടെ എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ എന്തോ പന്തികേട്‌. എന്തോ പോയ എന്തോ പോലെയിരിക്കുന്ന സച്ചിയേട്ടന്‍, എങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങളെ കണ്ടപ്പോ പതിവ് പോലെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു. ഞാന്‍ കാര്യം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.

സച്ചിയേട്ടന്റെ മുഖം മാറി. ടിവി കേടായി മക്കളെ, ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ. ഓഹോ അപ്പൊ അതാണ്‌ കുരങ്ങന്‍ ചത്ത കാക്കാലന്‍ സ്റ്റൈല്‍ ഇരിപ്പ്. എന്താണാവോ സംഭവിച്ചത്!!!

സച്ചിയേട്ടന്റെ വിവരണം. പിള്ളര്‍ സ്കൂളില്‍ നിന്നും ഉച്ചക്ക് എത്തും. ഞങ്ങള്‍ രണ്ടാളും ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞു വരുമ്പോ വൈകുന്നേരമാകും. പിള്ളേര്‍ മുഴുവന്‍ സമയം ടിവി കണ്ടിരുന്നു സമയം കളയേണ്ട എന്ന് കരുതി ഞാന്‍ ടിവി അഴിച്ചു പിച്ചര്‍ ടുബിന്റെ പ്ളഗ് ഊരി ഇടും. മുംബയില്‍ ആക്രമണം പേപ്പറില്‍ കണ്ടു ആവേശത്തില്‍ ഞാന്‍ അത് കുത്തിയതാ പിച്ചര്‍ ടൂബിന്റെ ഒരു കഷ്ണം പോട്ടിപ്പോന്നു.

ഏയ്‌ പിച്ചര്‍ ട്യൂബ് കേടായിട്ടൊന്നും ഉണ്ടാവില്ല, ഞാന്‍ പോളി ടെക്നിക്കിലോക്കെ പഠിച്ചതാ, പിച്ചര്‍ ട്യൂബ് കേടായാല്‍, നിറം മാറും എന്ന് കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കല്‍ . പൊട്ടിയ എയര്‍ സീലിംഗ് കാണിച്ചു തന്നപ്പോളെ എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലായി, ടിവി പോയി. പക്ഷെ വെറും ഒരു വൈദ്യ ബിരുദം മാത്രമുള്ള ഞാന്‍ ഈ പോളിടെക്നിക്കുകാരോടെ മത്സരിച്ചിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല. മൌനം ഭൂഷണം...

എന്നാലും സ്വകാര്യമായ ചില അസൂയകള്‍ ഇല്ല എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് നുണയാകും. കേരളത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗം ആവേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഒരാളും കൂടെയാണല്ലോ ഞാന്‍. ഞാന്‍ ഇല്ലാതെ അവന്‍ ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് ഇത്ര നല്ല ഒരു സംഗതി ഒപ്പിച്ചെടുത്തു എന്നതില്‍ എനിക്ക് അസൂയ തോന്നിയില്ലെങ്കിലല്ലേ അത്ഭുതം.

എഴുത്തും രാഷ്ട്രീയവും മറ്റു പലതും കൂടിക്കുഴഞ്ഞ കലാലയ ജീവിതം ബാക്കി വെച്ച അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തുക്കളില്‍ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തുള്ള ഒരാളാണ് മനു. നരിക്കുനിയിലെ NSS ദശദിന ക്യാമ്പ്‌ മുതലാണ്‌ ഞങ്ങള്‍ വളരെ അടുത്തത്. ഒരുപാട് സാഹിത്യ ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ , രാഷ്ട്രീയ സംവാദങ്ങള്‍ പിന്നെ പല രാഷ്ട്രീയ സമസ്യകള്‍ക്കും ഉത്തരം കണ്ടെത്താനുള്ള രഹസ്യ ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ !

ഞാന്‍ കോളേജ് വിട്ടതിനു ശേഷം ഉണ്ടായ ഹോമിയോഫെസ്റ്റ് ആണ് സംഗതി തുടങ്ങിവെച്ചത്. പിന്നെ പലരുടെയും സംഗീത സംവിധാനം, നാളെ ആല്‍ബം ഇറങ്ങും എന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെയുള്ള അലച്ചിലുകള്‍ . പല നിര്‍മ്മാതാക്കളെയും കണ്ടു നിരാശയോടെയുള്ള മടക്കങ്ങള്‍ പ്രണയ ഗാനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഇടയില്‍ മാപ്പിളപ്പാട്ട് തിരുകാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന നിര്‍മ്മാതാക്കള്‍ .

ഒടുവില്‍ എഴുതിയതും ഈണം നല്കിയതും എല്ലാം എടുത്തു അലമാരക്ക് മുകളില്‍ തള്ളി, പുതിയതിനുള്ള അന്വേഷണം. അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നിര്‍മ്മാതാവിനെ കിട്ടി കിട്ടിയില്ല എന്ന മട്ടില്‍ ഒരു പൊതി ചിതലരിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി.

സ്വന്തമായു ഉള്ള സെടുപ്പില്‍ ചെയ്യാം എന്ന ബുദ്ധിയും പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ച വിജയം ആവാതെ ഒരുമാതിരി സന്തോഷ്‌ പണ്ഡിറ്റ് മോഡല്‍ ആയിപ്പോയി. ഇതിനിടക്ക്‌ ഒരു പ്ലാസിബോ ഇറങ്ങിയതും, സാങ്കേതിക മേന്മ ഇല്ലാതെപോയ വിഷുക്കണിയും ബാക്കിയായി. ഞാന്‍ ഡല്‍ഹിയിലേക്കും പോന്നു.

പെട്ടെന്നതാ ഒരു കോഴിക്കോടന്‍ പാട്ടിനു നിര്‍മ്മാതാവ്, പാട്ട് ഫേസ്ബുക്കില്‍ റിലീസ്, കോഴിക്കോട്ടുകാര്‍ എന്ന ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് ഗ്രൂപ്പ് മുഴുവന്‍ പിന്തുണയും, നല്ല രീതിയില്‍ തന്നെ ഒരു പാട്ടും.

പറ, ഞാന്‍ അസൂയപ്പെട്ടില്ലെങ്കില്‍ പിന്നെ ആര് അസൂയപ്പെടും? ;)

India Against Corruption...

I can understand when Rikshawalas and roadside vendors says Anna is going to make us rich overnight. But I cannot understand why my educated friends say this foolishness.

Corruption is a social evil. It cannot be removed by enacting a law. In a country like India where corruption perception index is very low, a new mechanism will end up as an additional means of corruption only. An all powerful lokpal as designed by IAC would be causing imbalance in constitutional balance of powers.

Having a low conviction rate below 5% laws are not solutions to any problem in our country. We already have multiplicity of laws which is a problem.

And compared to other newly Independent countries post WW II, ours is the most successful polity. I dont say we dont have problems, but we have less problems just because of a wonderful polity designed by great visionaries. It can be detrimental, if someone decides to challenge this polity. Law is to be made in legislature, not in the streets. Civil Society can pressurize government, but it shouldn't try to hijack government.

Also the one who points the fingers should ensure their hands are clean. What is the case of BJP with whom Anna team is now very close? Even members of team like Kiran Bedi was proved to be misappropriating funds. When exposed her solution was that she would return the amount. If that is the case, why couldn't all corrupt politicians and bureaucrats say the same?

We need an anti-corruption mechanism which doesn't antagonize our constitutional system, but there shouldnt be false hopes of overnight development associated with it.

Years ago when Internet began popular email was a wonder in itself. Then came the social networking. We were all happy with Orkut where we had hundreds of friends. Slowly we knew Orkut had only a majority of Indians and Latin Americans. There were lots of others, like Myspace, Hi5, etc etc... Each had its own cultural attractions and specific users.

Facebook appeared in the scene very subtly. I dont know how it conquered the horizons slowly, either because of the increased response we got from the friends or the games which killed our frustrations. Whatever it is, It reached a level of popularity that has more members than third most populous country in the world.

I do still remember those nights when I used to come back home from the clinic, just to sit in front of my PC, playing farmville, forgetting my frustrations in the growing agricultural produce, enjoying the City life as an alter ego in Yoville, flirting with many young girls, gaining friends from all over the world in that process.

Instead of hundreds in Orkut we had thousands here. Our frustrations, tensions, joys, all emotions came out as status updates. Our friends from all over supported us emotionally, by likes, comments, advises. It became a part of our life. The Micro-blogging and Twitter couldn't kill the enthusiasm that raged in Facebook.

This enthusiasm lead to revolutions that overpowered the dictators, changed the perspective about social networking, and altered our lives. Our old poor Orkut became the only failed project of Google Inc.

Then came Google Plus, the hype and marketing followed. 'Netxperts' predicted the death of Facebook and Twitter. Geeks started shifting to Google+, they gave the comment below doubts asked, "Ask it on G+". Frantic reactions from Facebook were viewed as the last flame of dyeing lamp.

Facebook introduced changes after changes, most of which annoyed the users. One fine morning logging into Facebook and getting perplexed at new arrangement of things became a routine for many. The Facebook matured, and came with a new innovation.

Social networking was a place where we post something on spur of second, forget it, and it gets drowned in thousands of posts. Not any more!!! Facebook Timeline, the new innovation keeps all your activities in a chronological order. We can add our life events in any time of our timescale any time. We can high light some of the events with added importance. Wow!

Instructions on How to Activate Timeline on Facebook

1. Ensure you are logged into your Facebook account.

2. Go to the About Timeline page.

3. Click on “Get Timeline” button in the bottom.

4. Scroll down on your timeline and edit or remove any items you don’t want shown. Do that by holding your cursor over the upper right of the item you want to edit, and then make your choice on the drop-down list.

5. From that list you can change the date of the item, add a location, hide it from the timeline, delete the post altogether, or report it/mark it as spam.

6. If you’d like to “feature” any of the posts, click on the star icon to the left of that pencil icon, and that item will be expanded all the way across the page, made larger for all your friends to see.

പെട്ടെന്നാണ് ഒരു ഏറു കൊണ്ടത്‌ . കമന്റു രൂപത്തിലാണ് ഏറു വന്നത്.

ഹാറൂന്‍ സാര്‍ , അയച്ച മെയില്‍ തിരിച്ചുവന്നു. ഇനിയെന്ത് ചെയ്യണം? ദാ. ഇതിലൂടെ വരാമോ? {email-അഡ്രസ്‌} (ഒരുകൂട്ടം പറയാനുണ്ട്‌) )

ഒരു പാട് പേര്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ മെയില്‍ അയച്ചും, ചാറ്റിലും ചോദിക്കാറുണ്ട്. രണ്ടു ദിവസം സ്ഥിരമായി ഞാന്‍ വരുന്ന സമയം നോക്കി ചാറ്റാന്‍ വരും. പിന്നെ സാവധാനം വൈദ്യവിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തെ പറ്റി ചോദിക്കും.

പിന്നെയും ഒരു ദിവസോം കൂടി ചാറ്റും. അടുത്ത ദിവസം യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ ചോദ്യം വരും. എനിക്ക് ഇന്ന അലര്‍ജി ഉണ്ട്, മാറുമോ, എന്ത് ചെയ്യണം?

അക്കൂട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് ഒന്നും കൂടി. ഞാന്‍ കണക്കു കൂട്ടി. പേര് നോക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കേട്ട് പരിചയമുള്ള പേര്. ഇദ്ദേഹം ബ്ലോഗിലെ പുലിയാണെന്നോ പറഞ്ഞു മറ്റൊരു ബ്ലോഗര്‍ കൊടുത്ത 'അഫിമുഹ സംഫാഷണം' വായിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതാണ്‌ പേര് കേട്ട് പരിചയം.

പൊതുവേ എനിക്ക് ബ്ലോഗിലെ പുലികളെയും കഴുതപ്പുലികളെയും ഒക്കെ പുച്ച്ചമാണ്. ഞാന്‍ ആദ്യമേ തന്നെ പരിചയപ്പെട്ട മഹാന്മാര്‍ എല്ലാം നമ്മളെ ആരാടാ ഈ ബൂലോകത്തേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചു കയറുന്ന പുതുമുഖം എന്ന മാതിരി, ഒരു മാതിരി റാഗ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന സീനിയേഴ്സ് ലൈനില്‍ ആണ് എന്നോട് പെരുമാറിയത്. ബ്ലോഗ്‌ ചെയ്തു ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കേണ്ട ഗതികെടില്ലാത്തത് കൊണ്ട് ഞാന്‍ തിരിച്ചു മൈന്‍ഡ് ആക്കിയുമില്ല.

ഈ മുന്‍വിധി കാരണം ബ്ലോഗര്‍ എന്ന് കണ്ടാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ അധികം പിടികൊടുക്കാതെ രക്ഷപ്പെടും. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ബ്ലോഗേര്‍സ് കൂട്ടായ്മയില്‍ ഒന്നിലും അംഗവും ആയില്ല.

ഈ ഒരു ബ്ലോഗര്‍ മറ്റൊരു ബ്ലോഗറെ കുറിച്ച് എഴുതിയത് ഒക്കെ വായിച്ചപ്പോളും മുന്‍ ധാരണ അനുസരിച്ച് പരസ്പരം ചൊറിഞ്ഞ് കൊടുക്കുന്ന സാമൂഹിക കലയായെ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടുള്ളൂ.

ഏതായാലും ആദ്യമായാണ് ഒരാള്‍ നല്ല കാര്യം പറയാന്‍ ഇങ്ങോട്ട് വന്നു കയറുന്നത്. വരട്ടെ എല്ലാം കാത്തിരുന്നു കാണാം... അല്ലെ ശ്രീ സ്വമിജിയാനന്ദാ...?

Freedom to be Nude...

Aliaa Magda Elmahdy alias Loleeta, an Egyptian blogger has come up with her own nude picture on blog and Facebook. She describes it as a self proclamation of right to expression.

This is a different era of freedom where people find strange methods to express themselves. The novel method of self exhibition as the means of expression has got supporters and critics alike.

The question that really is haunting me is whether she is genuinely doing this as an icon for the right to express, or as a cheap publicity gimmick. If later is the truth, the critics are unknowingly playing to her tunes, and adding to her publicity. But if former is the case, though our society is not yet ripe enough to allow the nudity, this is a wake up call to all the fascist elements in the society. It is high time to abolish all the Pseudo-Morality in the society, and leave individuals to their freedom.

Whatever may be her real intentions, the technique has become a huge marketing success. The blogs having 3000 followers were all having thousands of posts, while only one blog post can give you 3000+ followers if and only if you are Aliaa and you have posted nudity. You also have to notice that her other blog with 46 posts have only less than 250 followers.

My only doubt is that How is Kareem Amer, her boyfriend viewing this...

Addendum:
I had given a comment on her blog asking whether it is actually for cause of freedom, or just a publicity gimmick. I had no derogatory comments, just the real enquiry. I also had added a statement that if it is really for the cause, she should also find other alternatives of democratic protest rather than getting obsessed with nudity.

She didnt approve that comment and it went unpublished. Many other comments opposing her or supporting her are being published out of which majority is supporting her, many of them posted after me.

Now I have to seriously think this is a publicity gimmick and she is afraid of someone saying it out in the open...

And about marketing, I think she has started another blog to which she is linking everyone now...

Just after the rain drops touched the leaves,

Red hot sun pale by the white veil of snow,

The day is beautiful and climate and me alone,
Amidst the beautiful woods overlooking the meadows,
