Established in 1986 Traxxas introduced RTR RC cars which was an entirely new concept of fully assembled RC vehicles.

RTR which was a term coined by Traxxas meant "Ready–To-Run" and described a new class of RC vehicles that are already painted and ready to run right out of the box.

Getting started with your Traxxas RC vehicle can be fun and exciting. Below you'll find several videos that will help you get and keep your Traxxas RC vehicle up and running.

Micro RC Helicopters are made Tough and are Easy to fly

Mini rc helicopters have quickly become a very popular rc toy and for many very good reasons.

They are so small, they can easily be carried almost anywhere.

They are so small that more then one of them can very easily be carried almost anywhere.

They are so small that when you crash them, you don't really do any damage.

They are so small you can sit back on your couch and fly one.

They are so small you can lie in your bed and fly it around at night. And if you should crash
it, it's so small; it won't make that much noise, and you won't wake anybody up!

They are so small you can sit in the back seat of your minivan and fly it around, just don't
fly it up front near the driver. That could be dangerous.

They are so small they can fit in the palm of your hand.

They are so small everyone thinks they're really cute.

They are so small everyone that thinks they're cute is going to want to fly it. Hmmmmm….
I don't know if that's such a good thing.

The mini or mini rc helicopter is an amazing little wonder that's so stable they are capable of being flown in the smallest of spaces.

Mini rc helicopters are designed to be very easy to fly, so they are great for anyone, expert or beginner, adult or child. These helicopters are very easy to learn to use so anyone can be flying one around the room in no time and they are tons of fun.

Mini rc helicopters are made of a very unique material that can take some of the toughest crashes. So there's no need to worry about having a really bad crash, mini helicopters are made to be very tough.

Almost all mini helicopters come 'RTR' which stands for 'ready to run' meaning they are ready to fly right out of the box.

With mini rc helicopters, there's nothing at all to assemble; all you need to add is batteries which are usually 6 AA batteries for the transmitter. Then between 15 - 30 minutes to charge the helicopter and you're ready to fly, getting about 5 - 10 minutes of flying time.

Add some mini rc helicopters to any party and watch the fun began! Because these mini rc helicopters are easy to fly and are made to withstand some really tough crashes, you won't mind letting almost anyone fly it.

Make an obstacle course and time people flying the rc helicopter through it. To make an obstacle course for your mini helicopters you can use a box with both ends turned in to make the box sturdier. Sit the box up on one side and fly through one end and out the other, then fly your rc helicopter over the top of a chair and then under another chair.

Fly under one chair and over the next then around a table near by and back through the chairs again. Use your imagination with this one, there really is no end to what you can fly your mini rc helicopter under, over, around or through and it can really be a lot of fun.

There are many different types of mini rc helicopters to choose from.

Some mini rc helicopters come with little hooks that go underneath so they can pick up the little baskets they come with.
Some mini rc helicopters come with blinking lights so they can easilybe seen at night and to make them look really cool.

There are even some mini helicopters that are equipped with laser guns and laser sensor along with a fire button on the transmitter.

When one of the mini rc helicopters get shot by the other mini rc helicopters laser, it losses power and will crash to the floor.

But don't worry like all mini rc helicopters these combat mini rc helicopters are made of very tough material and will not be damaged.

Choosing an RC Car

Not sure what kind of RC car or truck is the right one to purchase? Should you get an electric RC vehicle, nitro RC vehicle or gas RC vehicle?

Well if you don't know anything about them then this could be somewhat of a challenging task.

On the other hand if you have an idea of how the different types of RC vehicles operate, it'll be easier to choose. So here's a quick look at the different types.

Remote Control toy cars and trucks range from the very basic on one end – which may consist of a simple throttle or push button to make the car go forward - this type is great for very young children say ages 2 – 4.

To the very realistic speed racers on the other end – vehicles that not only go forward, backward and hug the curve like any real racing car, but can also move at speeds of 70+ mph!

In order to make sure your nitro RC car continues to run properly for a long time, it's very important that you clean your vehicle properly after each use. This will ensure that your nitro RC vehicle will run great for many years to come. Proper maintenance of your RC vehicles will ensure that they have a very long and enjoyable life.

Nitro vs Electric vs Gas Plus the RC Scale

One of the most popular types of remote control toys are remote control car toys which are also called RC cars, radio controlled cars, or remote control cars. Remote control car toys are one of the most popular remote control toys and can be either:

• Electric
• Nitro
• Gas
• Mini

Electric remote control car toys - these battery operated cars may have a shorter run time then their counterparts and some may think they are not as fast. But I'll have to beg to differ.

I purchased one for one of my nephews for a Christmas present one year and it was too fast to play with in the house! If it had hit your ankles, it would have crippled you. If (and when) he hit the wall, he cracked the body of the vehicle. It still worked and you really couldn't see the crack, but none the less it was there, letting us all know that we didn't want it to hit our feet.

"Take it outside!"

Nitro radio controlled powered toys - nitro remote control cars are not gas RC cars and do not run on gasoline. Nitro RC cars use nitro fuel which is a mixture of oil, methanol, and nitro methane. Although nitro is no where near as volatile as gasoline, it is still flammable and should be treated as such. Never use gasoline in a nitro RC car engine.

Nitro RC cars give the driver more control, have a longer run time and an unbelievable realistic sound, some even have smoke! They are also faster then electric RC cars although electric RC cars are getting faster and faster.

Nitro fuel is very expensive costing about $30 - $45 dollars a gallon. Nitro RC cars however have a much longer running time, more then electric RC cars and gas powered RC cars so that gallon of nitro will go a long way.

RC nitro powered cars are a lot messier then electric RC cars and involve a lot more work, having to be cleaned off after every use in order to increase their run life.

Many first time RC users have a problem with all that is involved with a nitro RC car however if you are so inclined, don't hesitate to explore the world of nitro radio controlled cars.

Gas powered radio controlled cars- Gas powered RC cars usually are much larger then electric RC cars and nitro powered RC cars. They are usually in the 1/5 scale size and they run on a two stroke motor. They run on a mixture of gas and oil, which is usually one small bottle of oil to about 2 ½ gallons of gas,

RC Minis - these little cars are fast and fun and come in all makes and models. Mini RC cars are most always electric - which means they run on batteries.

Radio controlled vehicles are modeled after full-size cars, trucks, boats, and aiRCraft. The scale of a radio controlled cars is its sizes compared to the real, full-size vehicle that it is modeled after. Therefore a 1:10 scale race car would be 1/10th or 10 times smaller than the size of the real thing.

Understanding the RC Scale

Remote control car toys come in different scales such as:

1:6,
1:8,
1:10,
1:12.

Mini-Remote control car toys have a much smaller size scales such as.

1:28
1:64.

Because the scale of the remote control vehicles are relative to the full-size vehicles they represent, two vehicles of the same scale may be very different in size to each other. A 1:8 scale sports car will be much smaller than a 1:8 Army tank because a full-size sports car is much smaller than a full-size tank.

The terms scale model, scale RC or large scale RC not only describes a scaled down model of a real vehicle, it also means that the RC model is an authentic realistic replica in the style of the body, the paint job and the RC cars performance.

Nitro RC vehicles and gas powered vehicles are much more expensive then electric powered remote controlled vehicles.

Many first time RC users have a problem with all that is involved with a nitro RC car however if you are so inclined, don't hesitate to explore the world of RC nitro powered cars.
