Marusan Barucos - Garumoss, Eagle & Grouzer

2026-08-05T23:32:00.000-07:00

The Barucos line was created by the late Katsushi Murakami, the legendary designer whose work helped define Bandai’s iconic Chogokin era and shaped countless classic robots from the golden age of tokusatsu and anime. This sofubi trio was produced by Marusan, perfectly captures the bold, mechanical charm of the Shōwa era, featuring the striking blue/yellow (No.2 Eagle) & yellow/white rounded body (No. 3 Grouzer)and red/black (No. 1 Garumoss) humanoid robots alongside the lovable rounded support robot.

Clean geometric lines, vibrant color blocking and unmistakable retro mecha aesthetics make them feel like they stepped straight out of a late ’70s or early ’80s TV series. Murakami’s creative legacy lives on through unforgettable works across Space Sheriff Gavan, Bioman, Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya, Ulysses 31, Space Adventure Cobra, Gatchaman, and many more. His influence on both toy design and Japanese pop culture is immeasurable. A small tribute to a true visionary whose designs continue to inspire collectors and creators around the world. Who cares about infection‼️ The sculpt is packed with outrageous details, from exposed wounds and bulging muscles to its signature chained bug companion swinging from its fist. Blassreiter Joseph Figure

2026-07-27T23:12:00.000-07:00

Blassreiter Joseph – After the Transformation by GDH (TV 2008) remains one of the lesser known anime figures in my collection. Joseph’s fully transformed form is brought to life with striking blue and black biomechanical armor, accented by distinctive golden shoulder horns that give him an imposing silhouette. The organic armor textures and sharp sculpt capture the series’ dark, cybernetic aesthetic. Standing approximately 140 mm (5.5”) tall, this PVC & ABS figure comes in a fixed-action pose with a display stand and sword, making it more of a display piece than a fully articulated action figure. I also added a glowing eye effect to give him a more menacing, awakened presence. 👁️✨ Still a fantastic representation of one of the most memorable transformed designs from Blassreiter. Sometimes it’s fun to revisit older pieces in the collection—they bring back memories of the anime that first sparked the passion.

The head sculpt gives me strong Alien Baltan (O¥O) vibes, while the paint application really stands out—the biker jacket has a convincing leather-like finish, complete with a skull ☠️ detail on the back. The flowing red scarf 🧣 ties the whole look together, giving this hellish rider an unmistakable classic rider aesthetic. The boots 🥾, sheriff badge and revolver holster adds that cowboy 🤠 gung-ho-ness. A simple design executed with excellent sculpting and paintwork. 🔥🏍️💀.

A fun and nostalgic character that stands out whether in mini blind box scale or larger sofubi form. 🚔✨ Uncool is cool 😎.
