By the way, she opened my envelope IMMEDIATELY as soon as she laid her hands on it!! So that means she is probably looking at it RIGHT NOW!!! haha. I know that Goddie will blessie!! :)

I am so busy this week. Three midterms and also club application due. Next week also two midterms. But I know that whenever I am working hard, God is working even harder. He will lift me up! Amen!

I searched for Philomathia scholarships that were actually awarded to students in 2010 and 2011. They were both students going to distance places like India and some archaeological site to conduct study. And on top of that, the Philomathia scholarship is one that is the MOST applied to (last year there were 29 people who applied, and only 1 awarded). So, my chances are very, very slim, if any at all.

But oh well. I will place everything in God's hands. Whether I go to Boston paid or unpaid, it shall be a good learning experience :)

Now back to study.

LOL. Mom thought she lost the pack of sunflower seeds, but she just found it in the cupboard!
Hopefully she won't get too fat....and yes, I need to lose some weight.

Can't believe these nights without enough sleep, I'm putting ON weight!! I also can't exercise before I get all my sleep debt back. Now, I can fall asleep in a heartbeat!

Got lots to say. But first please pray for people who were involved in the VIA rail accident today. VIA lost 3 engineers and also 48 passengers were injured :( :( :(

May God bless their families and help them overcome all difficulties!!! May God strengthen their hearts!

Yesterday night I got pretty weak!!

Yesterday night I kept having chills and a sore body. Initially I was not able to sleep at all because of the chills. Mom placed three or four layers of comforters/blankets on me but I was still very cold. Later mom suggested I wear a second layer of pants, and also socks. Then the chills gradually went away. I also prayed to Goddie that He may keep us all safe from diseases. I prayed that He may let Oibbie recover soon.

And now OIBBIE is up and ALIVE!!! :) :) Mom said she ate 1 clementine this morning :) Hopefully Goddie will continue to cure her!!!

Oib got sick yesterday night!!!!!

Poor Oib!!! Poor poor OIB!!!!

Today morning I woke up and the first thing that mom told me that gave me a jerk was that Oib threw up real bad yesterday night. Her quick diagnosis was viral gastroenteritis. Because of the severity of the viral attack, Oib had to email/call in to her work place and tell them she's too sick to come. Oh POOR POOR OIB!!!! When I was working in the hospital today I kept thinking about maybe I could meet Oib during lunchtime or something, and then it suddenly came to me that Oib is sick at home!! :(

Anyways, have prayed and will continue to pray to Goddie for Oibbie. Get well soon Oibbie!!!

Back from running

So...Back from running with a mosaic face!!! Such a shame because I was running alongside my school's Track and Field team :P amazing bodies, obviously...Compared to them, my legs and arms are SO fatty and flaccid...

but oh well!!! Better to exercise than never!! :)

Title pretty much sums it all up!! I've just sent all the completed forms to the volunteer office. I will call them tomorrow just to make sure that they have my forms!

Oh, and also got my ultrasound report back. Stupid non-obstructing kidney stone in right kidney!!! Please spontaneously dissolve+diffuse out of body!! <3!!

I just solved a very difficult CAPA question!! Gotta thank God!! (although another set is due on Thurs, GAH!)

But the Physics pre-lab is causing me some trouble and I really hope that Dr. F will answer my question asap! :)

So yesterday we went to Dundurn Castle and the Military Museum beside it. Awesome place! Made me learn to appreciate history more and to know how priviledged I am to be in today's world. Compared to the old living conditions (very little plumbing, gas-powered lamps, wooden toilet seats without flushing...) I feel like a King!! And yet I often feel sub-kingmal, haha. I should reflect on that and love the life that I'm having.

Also the Military Museum. A young sergeant died at age 22 in war. I saw the form that he filled out in preparation for his death and again, felt how lucky I am to be in the place I am now. God bless!!

Today is the first day of my "monthly issue", and I got pretty nauseous during clean/vent training. I am glad that I called it quits halfway during the course, because I did end up being very sick!! I ran to the bathroom TWICE to throw up all that I ate for breakfast. It was very green stuff and tasted bitter...anyway not a pleasant experience...obviously. And I was in SERIOUS pain. It felt like someone is wringing my uterus and tying it into a huge knot. It made me want to hunch and sit on the floor. I suddenly made connections with all the animals in the training facility, that when they were sick they didn't want to move or to get fed or to drink or to groom themselves. I suddenly feel the enormous amount of love that all sick creatures on this planet needs. All the love, all the compassion, all the care that we all, whether sick or not, need.

But the training lady T was very nice and trained me one-on-one after she is done with all the other people. We then sat down and she went over all the cage cards and stuff.What was funny was that just before I felt weird, the training lady actually said something about a girl passing out on her during training. And it was also "her time of the month"...I smiled at the story, not knowing that I will be her second sick-during-the-training case...

Anyway gotta thank Goddie for this experience! I know what it feels like to be sick and I'm learning to how to better take care of other sick people. I think that this is essential to be understanding and provide lots of warmth and support. I pray that Goddie will make me into a doctor who knows how to handle the emotional needs of the patient and to provide love, love, and love.
And Gid has also taught me to be humble. Because you will have to give in under circumstances. Then you will want the help of others.

Our club administrator just emailed me about the steps in creating a club bank account with McMaster Credit Union. I am very delighted to see this.

I also went to the lab today and spoke with D and T. I actually helped T with transferring serum from a spun down blood tube. Then I watched her do some orbital bleeds and I'm amazed at the ease of blood flow! You just stick a capillary tube into the inside corner of the eye, and blood will ooze out!!! It is so fast and easy.

I also did the endpoints course today. Just as the course instructor said, it IS the most effective put-to-sleep course ever!! But it was still interesting. I am glad to see that people are taking animal rights to be so serious. How I wish that was the case for all livestock and supermarket animals (fish, chickens, turtles, frogs, etc.). How I wish every living thing, before their necks are painfully cut off or their bellies slit open, could have some sort of anesthesia. It just kills me to think that people cause intended injuries to other animals without subduing them first. It KILLS me.

Anywhoo. Will attend a seminar at MIP and hopefully I can take some meaningful notes to be posted in my MeeWaa blog :) :)

Just done blood collection of mice

Man. I am SO devastated!! And when I looked at myself in a mirror in the washroom, my face was pink!!! (that usually happens when I'm really nervous + anxious+excited).

Wow. I feel like I'm such a bad person. Poked mice and made them bleed. Poor teaching mice!! I wish you guys could forgive me and live a happy life :)

I will write more details later so that I don't forget what happened.
