How you can make money and be successful blogging - the quickest way.
(part one of 2 Killer Articles)
Blogging is perhaps the most widespread activity on the internet and one of the best ways to make money online possible without having to rely on others;
This however, does not mean that simply by creating a blog, that you are going to have any success. There are millions of blogs and bloggers on the www making blogging an extremely competitive method for making money online. However, if you follow these guidelines which i am goiing to explain to you, you will stand a more than decent chance of at least making some half decent pocket money;

Firstly, one of the most important factors is to not write about things you know nothing about, or things which are already dominated by other blogs which have established themselves to the extent that you will never be able to catch up with them.
Secondly, you should make sure that the posts you make are easy to read, and have lost of useful information for the interested party who is reading your blog.
Thirdly, you should keep most posts relatively short and to the point; make sure the title of your blogpost is related to the content of your post, and has a title which explains what the post is really about. You will not get repeat visits from your readers if you title a post let's say "5 ways to make your cactus grow fast" and then try to sell them some cactus seeds on the premise that the seeds you are selling will grow fast. You should give the reader really useful and genuine tips which will leave the reader satisfied and wishing to return to learn more from your useful and informative blog.
Don't forget to give people the odd freebie or goodies which will make your blog all the more atractive - for example if you post videoclips of movie trailers then you can include free wallpapers for them to download as a screensaver etc.
Apart from the short concisive and informative posts you can intersperse them with the occasional "Killer Post"
What is a Killer Post? you may find yourself asking; A killer post is a longer and extremely informative post which provides your readers with a hive of really useful info - you dont need to post this kind of post every time, that would make the blog too hard for some people to chew on. However such posts are essential in increasing the value of your blog content and will make readers recommend your blog to friends and family. To see and understand more about what a killer post entails you can click on the category called "Killer Posts" on the navigation menu to see all posts i have made which could be considered to belong to this type of post category.
A Killer Post (or sometimes refered to as a Killer Article) is a post which has immense value to your readers. The post should evoke a reaction in your reader which incites them to bookmark your article or even post it to their favourite social bookmarking site or Social network, such as facebook, Twitter, Magnolia, Digg and the like.
Even though most killer posts are longer ones, this is not necessarily always the case; What is important is the value of the information give, For example, if you have a blog about home finance, and know a way for people to save money on their tax returns, and you then explain how to acheive this goal in two paragraphs, the post is still most definitely a Killer Post, and will without doubt bring you a faithful readership, return visits and even more traffic due to the friends they send the link to your blog to because of the immense value of your post.
This will increase the amount of backlinks to your blog, as well as solidify your blog as a trusted authority on your chosen blog topic. If you think about this it is pure common sense that this kind of blogging is the kind which worls most efficiently.

Normal Posts;
Apart from Killer Posts, it is of great importance to have the majority of your postings being normal shorter posts. These normal posts will be responsible for helping you to develop a group community around your blog which your readers will be able to feel at home with and identify themselves as a member. This is how you communicate with your members and reach out to them, engaging them to participate in your thoughts ideas and opinions with their comments.

Blog Optimisation;
The Headline, or Title of your blog post, is of as much importance as the content in many respects. Why is this? The answer is simple and twofold;
Because the first words read in search results will be the title of the post, which should be informative and in context with the content, and have an angle which catches both the eye and interest of the reader.
Because if and when a reader bookmarks your post to a social bookmarking site or blog directory such as digg, technorati or the like, if the title of your post is not interesting and eyecatching enough, then whoever sees the link to your blog on that site, will most probably not feel like clicking on it, and overlook your post.
It is of great importance to try and think how the person searching for info on the topic you are posting in thinks, and what words they would use to search. For this reason you should do some searches using different search phrases to see what comes up and which phrases are the most commonly used (if you do a search in google for example, and have the browser set to fill in search queries for you as you type, then you will see how many thousands or millions of searches are made for each term as you search).
Doing this will assist you in choosing how you title your blogpost before you make it.
To assist you in this you could try using the
Google Adwords Keyword search tool, which will help you to find related search phrases when you type in any keyword. Once you enter a certain keyword or search term the tool will give you up to one hundred and fifty related search terms.
This should give you ideas about how to title your post.
heres a tip though; Supposing you use the tool to tstresults for the phrase "10 ways to lose weight efficiently" and see the results that the words "Lose weight efficiently" only has 100 daily world searches, but that the words "quick weight loss" has 100 searches daily, then yo would be better entitling your post something like "10 factors for Quick weight loss" or "Quick Weight loss tips" - in addition if you see that both "quick weight loss" and "easy weight loss" are getting many searches worldwide each day then perhaps it would be better to title your post "10 quick and easy weight loss tips" - there are many possible variations and you will have to develop your own feel for this too, as i cannot tell you the answers to all of the permutations, they are too many. Experiment and learn from your experiences.. after all experience is what is going to make you a real pro blogger in the end, and my tips are designed to get you started on the right track, not to solve all your problems and do all the work for you.
Self Hosted or free Blog?
Many experts will tell you that it is better to own your own hosted domain if you really wish to go for top ranking success with your blog. This is of course in general the case, but not always. the main advantage of owning your own domain is that if yo have a free blog such as blogger or wordpress, and break one of their policies, you might get your blog deleted, losing all your hard work for nothing. But if you are careful to stay withiin their terms of service, i see no reason why this should happen, and i can tell you that there are many a free blog service which has proved sufficient platform for many a blogger to attain top search results for some of the most wanted search terms and keywords around.
Lets take the keywords"make money online" for example..
makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com is a blogger hosted blog which gets on the top search results in google search for that search term ! do a search and see for yourself!

Blogger;
Blogger is a fine option for making money onine, especially when you consider the fact that it is a goe domain and that it is possible to incorporate google adsense with your blog using widgets from within the blogger admin interface without having to go to adsense control panel at all. Inserting and optimizing ads is as easy as pie using this option. Other portals such as wordpress do not allow you to insert afilliate links or ads which will restrain your attempts at making money online using blogging as your method of preference.

Code optimisation;
If you notice, i have made some phrases in this post to be bold text. This is because the keywords which i wish to have more "keyword weight" in the search engine results, will be more easily given higher importance factor through use of bold or italic text than if i left them as plain text.
Use bols text to increase the weight of your chosen keywords when you use them in the content of your post. You can also underline text for the same purpose if you like.

Increasing traffic;

Commenting on other important blogs;
Dont forget to visit other related blogs and comment using open id, name and your url or even your google account id or blogger id. When you make a decent and iteresting, or even controversial comment which will evoke interest in you because of your comment, this will sometimes cause people to click on your avatar and visit your site.
This is an extra way to get backlinks and win readership, as well as pleasing other blog owners by adding to the social content on their blogs, which always make a blog come to life more and attract more reader reactions and interactiveness to their blogs. It is a win win situation but only if you comment in an interesting and valid way. Dont just write "thanks mate" and enter your url, as this wont get your comment approved.

reciprocal links;
Seek out other decent blogs which are topic related to yours and link to them from your blog, then contact the respective blog authors and tell them about it - start by saying that you like their blog and gave them a link. The you could mention that you would be pleased if they also gave you a link to yours, but dont push it just be polite. This way you will come across in a more likeable manner and have more chance that they will be pleased with you. This is obviously going to make them most probably wish to return the favour. Major search engines will increase your pagerank if you have incoming links from related blogs.

Is it really possible to make money online easily? - Dos and Dont's to guide you on the road to success with online earnings

What Not to waste your time on, and what you can really use as a source of making money online
If you are seriously seeking ways to make either a decent or even just some extra income from home though online means, then this post should give you a detailed and honest guide as to what you should avoid spending time on, and what methods will bring you definite funds without disappointment of feleing duped or scammed, or having to spend more time on the attempt than the rewards justify;

Some of the most popular Internet scams which most people fall for and end up either wasting a lot of time on for nothing, as well as sometimes even parting with money for info which promises definite results but actually never deliver, are;

Signing up for writing testimonials
Writing Online reviews
Filling in Questionnaires or reading E-Mails, or marketing surveys
Joining tiered affiliate programs which require you to pay a fee for access and then offer you income and rewards for signing others up

The Millionare Mogul John Paul Getty once said "I prefer to make one percent of 100 people's efforts than to make one hundred percent of my own"
This is mathematically obvious, and is the base concept behind tiered afilliate schemes and even the chain letter thing.
Recently, i came across a job forum which had a section for freelance jobs and self employed internet opportunities for making money from home. In this forum i noticed several members were posting multitudes of posts with different titles offering different ways of making money

One of them was a property sales agent who offered that you will make a definite 2 to 5 thousand singapore dollars in the forst month or they will pay you cash.
here is part of the sales pitch to get you to sign up;

"Justin Ng Properties.com is the largest property search engine in Singapore with more than 200,000 HDB resale flats, apartments & condominiums, landed properties, commercial & industrial properties for sale & rent in his database posted by 27,893 active agents & referrals."

Before i go into further detail, just look at the mathematics of the offer; 27 thousand agents trying to sell 200 thousand homes. This leaves each person with about 8 homes to try to sell - and that is only counting the 27 thousand official property agents and not the hundreds or perhaps thousands or hundreds of thousands of fools who sign up for this company's training course, and attempt to enter the selling market and compete for those maximum 8 properties.
This is a complete scam and not worth taking time over i guarantee you. The only thing that happens here is that you pay them for a course and access to three silly tools ie a postcode finder (you can do that with many free online tools without paying) a statistics tool (which tells you which properties were sold lately, where, and for how much) , and a market analysis report tool.

Then you are left on your own with this to try to find your potential buyers and make your sales. I ask you; How on Earth are you going to get people to be interested in trusting you as a non registered non qualified property agent, (which is illegal in Singapore anyway) instead of walking into a real estate agents office or even a registered company website?
No chance. You will be peeled of your money and have no success at all.

Next scam;
Writing reviews.. There are many websites which offer moneymaking writing reviews, be they travel review res, restaurant writeups, or whatever. I already fell for this one with one of the top 3 review writing websites on the www. (reviewme.com) ;
They pay out after you have reached a 50$ minimum threshold - you are paid 5 to ten dollars for a review. What happens here is that they take hundreds of bucks from the companies which hire them to get an Online review written, then send you the job. When they have sent you perhaps 40 dollars worth of reviews, they stop sending you, and send to the next person who signed up. Hundreds of thosands of chumps sign up every month which means if they send less than the minimum payment level worth of reviews to each new member and then stop sending you jobs, they never have to pay you because you remain below the minimum payment threshold! And yes they really do this.

Reading emails is the same - they send you less than the amount needed to reach the minimum payment threshold.

As to answering questionnaires or "paid Surveys"; This is even more sneaky - once you sign up, they send you a mail saying "survey offer - this one pays 50 bucks" (for example) - then when you click on the link it will say "please answer the following questions to determine if you are eligible to participate in this survey" - you then proceed to click on the series of questionnaire forms and answer them (e.g. "do you live in the united states? are you under 40? do you have children? have you ever bought beauty products?" etc etc. At the end of about 30 questions you are then fed to a page which says "sorry you are not eligible to participate in this survey - residents of your country are not included - please try again next time!"
And if you are stupid enough they will send you lots more promises of possible survey eligibility offers which will see you answering the questionnaires (these ARE the surveys really - which they get you to answer for free!)
The only ones getting paid for the surveys are them! no survey pays fifty bucks per person! They might get say 50 bucks for 100 surveys filled in which means that you are needed as the chump. Think about how much money a company would lose to find out enough marketing data if they paid 50 bucks per person for surveys?
Im sure you can follow my point.

Many searches on the web will bring you to articles and blogs or forum posts which will tell you how to make money online writing reviews or signing up for this and that and the person posting will say how much he made last month. Dont believe them or click on their stupid links my friends, because the only one who shall benefit from it is them by getting you (the chump) to sign up using their afilliate link)

Some forums will pay per post - albeit a miniscule amount like a tenth of a cent, meaning 100 posts will get you one dollar with a minimum payout of 100 dollars. This will not make enough to cover your coffees which you drink whilst writing them.. but at least it is a real offer and you do get paid when you finally make anough posts to reach the minimum payment threshold.

I suppose now you are thinking "So if all these methods are scams, then how do you make some money online?"
Well one way is to use afilliate programs such as google adsense on your own website or blogs.
If you notice, this blog has google ads in it - i recommend using google adsense* because they pay not only if yu make a sale, rather for a click and even sometimes when you have enough page impressions. This is because they take money from advertizers for using your adspace, not for making a definite sale. Te control panel you have with google adsense is great and lets you see with a decent overview what your earnings are. I have used many other afilliate programs such as clickbank and cj clicks, LinkShare Referral Program etc.. but in 7 years of doing it have never been paid a penny from them, whereas i do get cheques regularly from google. The Linkshare affiliate program is however given good reviews by some of my friends who swear that they make good takings from it. I believe that if you have anough traffic on your website and know how to market well then perhaps this is an option for making money, but you have to know how to market the products in your blog posts.
I therefore recommend you to use google ads and whatever you write let it be on your own blog instead of writing for other people and helping them to make money from your efforts.
You will need a lot of visitors to your blog to make enough money from the google ads. So i do stress that you make original well written content that is useful to people - this is the best way to get real traffic to your blog.

Some of the other methods to make money online which i have criticised, may work for some people, but i can only say that in my experience it has proved to be a total waste of time and effort. Whereas what i write on my blogs (over 60 of them) does pay.

Where is Matt ? Making Money online !

Video Blogger Matt (yes the guy blogs in videoclips instead of webpages) - well actually he does have a blog too which was the hub is making money online, and lots of it. - And here is where his genius is to be appreciated;
As Matt (like me) does not seem to like spending his life in front of a PC in a room; he has found a way to present a blog without typing on a keyboard as much as being out in the great wide open.The main medium of his blogging method is to post videoclips on you tube of himself dancing with people in various off the wall or famous or hard to reach locations around the planet. The financing was first done by attaining sponsors for the forst shoots which after posting recieved such a reception with the public that a massive audience was created that were held on the edge of their seats eagerly awaiting to see Matt in the next location, wherever that may be.
Of course as this thing grew, the operation became a massive enterprise with dances choreographed by the organizers, with Matt and his girlfriend as the central hub driving the thing in the next direction.
But what we are talking about here, is how to make money online - and that is what Matt was, and still is doing. Starting with a simple idea and hardly and investment money he managed to trigger a multinational enterprize that now is putting food in the bellies of a whole corporation. He didnt even need a company all he needed was to post some cool self made videoclips on youtube. I also bet that the inverstment as he was dancing alone was not too much. However, as the "show" developed and started to arrange for Matt to dance with masses of people in diferent locations, they needed to arrange the legal forms for release of the images of the people who were in the scenes as dancers. This of course is expensive to draw up.. but by this time, Matt had enough corporate support to take this development in his stride. He put an application form up on his website for people who wished to participate in the event in their countries or that wished to be visited, and presto! he recieved over 25 thousand applications.. so they chose from the most interesting and marketable locations/events and planned the route (thanks to his girlfriend Melissa, who was also responsible for finding targets and sending out the invites per email).
30 million people have viewed his videos and website; if you enter the word "Matt" in google search the first 4 results for that keyword are all him.

What i wish to suggest as an advice in principle and concept for those of us who really wish to seriously make a lot of money online or at least enough to make it more fun than a normal career and also more profitable, is that the main key to making money online (i mean decent money that you can live from), is a GOOD IDEA, originality, in a small niche area or topic is better than trying to do what already hundreds of thousands of websites are already doing. This is the same as using seo for "Non-Competitive keywords" (meaning that if you have a program or way of researching which keywords have how many daily world searches and which ones have how many other sites competing for that Keyword, the you can find out which keywords have a lot of daily serch requests but not may other sites competing for it.. this is better than trying to ge traffic for the keyword coca cola or warner brothers, because there will be millions of daily searches but also maybe just as many sites competing for that keyword).
To really make money online, you need to work hard and present a good quality content to your site.. there are no real tricks.. if you see some of my earlier posts you will see that i over market and aim for the same kind of audience as many other blogs on making money online.
This was deliiberate really, in oreder to later (as of now) show you how those things dont work to make any decent money. If any of you clicked on some pay per click agency ads for example in any sites you have found whilst searching to make money online then you will have been frustrated to see that after clicking on ads they send you to click on, that the "money" you get paid cann mostly never be cashed, rather exchanged for people to click on your banner ads to your site - it is a reciprocal pay per click scam that makes money from companies paying them and get people like you (and me in the past, thats how i learnt) to click on them for free. If you have a website then at least you can get some clicks exchanger, but unless you use an affiliate program like adsense (who will ban you and keep your money if they catch you doing this) that pays per page impression and not per sale or lead, the getting 500 people to click on your banner wont help you at all except in traffic rankings analysis if you want to sell the site and con someone into thinking you have loads of visitors.
All such behaviour is crap i must tell you and apart from being unethical and ruining the quality of the www it can get your site put in the sandbox with google as a spam site or for various other reasons.

ANyway, watch this Seminar that Matt gives on how he got so many people to dance with him - and see that what he is really explaining is not how he got them to dance, rather how he managed to convert his project into a successful off the wall manner to make money online whilst travelling the world.
The travel and making money without a 9 to 5 job is the thing that brought us all here to look for info blogs like this no??

I hope you enjoyed and appreciate the honesty of my rather digressive post above.. if so, then please permit me to make a solemn promise to all of you who may be still searching in the hope fo finding the secrets of making money online, that i shall use no under the belt marketing techniques on you and oyu wont end up registering with any places that are not recommendable. I found it sickening how all the apparent "Info sites" on making money online were actually scams to dupe the innocent seeker of new profession into being hoodwinked into falling for totally petty and childish tricks just to get a couple of cents for oyu.
I know how to do these things, but refuse to, because i find it disgusting and inhuman to behave to each other in such a way, even if we dont know each other.
I mean, i have been hoodwinked myself and fallen for things that i could have kicked myself for later.. but sometimes you have to break a bone before you realize that ice is slippery.

I shall attempt to explain and indicate in all future posts how to improve your website or web busainess and how to make money from home online without any business or product of your own too (afiliate marketing).
I decided that this blog will be dedicated to honesty and legitimate ways tpo make a buck large or small without being hoodwinked.
As a taster here is a tip.
For writing articles on article and review blogs that pay .. be very very careful. reviewme.com for example sent me 2 revies in a row in one week and i got 5 dollars each review - i did each review in about an hour each and they were both accepted and used.

But that was 2 years ago and they never sent me anymore
Just think how many millions of people are signing up with these sites and how many hundreds of companies requesting a review??
meaning that if i make a website that accepts review authors (some sites require you to pay first on the promise that you will get access to many reviews - A LIE!), take a dollar off each of you first and then take a hundred or a thousand or whatever per company for a review, because of the ratio of reviewers to clients for reviews is out of orbit..
so they send less than a hundred dollars of reviews to do to each member (minimum payout is 100 dollars with most sites) and then never send more so it never reaches the minimum payout.... well you can work it out for yourself no?

such enterprises are like the stock market.. the only person making any money and never lose, is the middle man! ( i lived with a swiss director of the wall street stock exchange and he explained this to me, and why it was so, so dont play the stock market either)
