Patungan Cove: Never Again!

I seldom rant about places i visit no matter how unsatisfactory the service is. I am forgiving like that. I charge everything to experience and just bow to myself to never return again. But this has to be heard by people who wants to visit Patungan Cove in Maragondon Cavite.

It was my second time to visit the place. The first time was with my friends and family. My friend was actually looking at Marine Base in Termate for a day tour however they were led to Patungan, simple beach life with no electricity and runningg water but we were after the clean water and beige sand so it was still a fun day. (Water is through deep well, scheduled electricity is from 6pm to 10pm only.) These were not issue at all, we were prepared to an island life or beach province life. The first time was really quite fun so i recommended to my group friends and families for another try, just one month apart. And this time it was a disaster. I promise myself to never return again.

As much as i want to start a blow by blow account, i find it toooooo long to process everything all over again. I would just like to make a tip to whoever wants to spend few hours on this place.

1. Do not transact with WENY. I repeat do not make any verbal transaction with Weny. (0997) 672 7305 or +63 975 518 5518. Aside from the fact that they do not own any cottages for rent, they will just make money from you. Directly contact the owner! Ask those numbers you see on facebook who's the owner of the cottages and directly talk to them regarding the cottage rates. These cottages can range from P1500 to P3500 if overnight. But their daytour was P2500. I was told other offers it at P1500.

2. Do not be fooled to ride the boat! The boat fare is P50 for less than 5minutes ride. We were told we cannot walk at the road going to the cottages, this is just their trick to get another business from you. Walking from the Security gate up to the cottages is less than 5minutes too!!!! Save you P50 yes but most especially from the disaster of slipping on the rocks. It is not true that you cant pass on that road! Yes you can, we did! Just tell the security you prefer to walk.

3. I dont recommend Patungan Cove cottages by Konsehal Libay, his wife Elma and Weny. Stay away or look for other cottages if you still want to have a fun stay.

Looking Back

25 years ago, my mother sent me to The Sisters of Mary School in Sta Mesa Manila. It was the first time ever that i will be away from them. First time means i haven't even experienced sleeping over to anybody's house. So to imagine me walking down that huge gate of the school while my mother was looking at me, i went straight to the building without looking back. Am afraid they might see my tears falling. It was one of the saddest days of my life. I thought i cannot make it but with the hope of graduating high school, i did it four years after. How excited i was to look at that huge gate again, looking at my parents waiting for my return. One of my happiest days to see them, hug them, kiss them once more.

Life inside the school was fun. It was like Princess Sara style but all we do everyday for 365 days was to pray, study, work and play. This school molded me on what i am today, my core and my being straightened out to be the person i am 25 years after. That's a lot of job - imagine we are almost 500 in our batch. They have made great things to all of us. Father Al, the founder is on his way to sainthood, and there's no doubt he will be. I will be forever thankful to him and all the nuns. If i have to choose my life, i will do it again.

Social Media Break

A few weeks ago, i found myself asking why i spend too much time holding or just looking at my phone. I feel imprisoned every time there's a notification from any of my mobile apps - be it facebook, instagram, messenger etc etc! See the list of all these apps are countless, well some i need for my work but some are just for socialization in the world wide web and NOT IN ACTUALITY and i get TIRED of it all. Those lines --- so far yet so near. Well now i want to live with the real world around me. SO i decided to put off my data every night and turn in on in the morning upon waking up. Just so i can check the emails that needs my attention first thing in the morning. If you know me well enough, i can't stand even one unread email so i have to glance at it quickly and my mind has to organize the first stuff to do and then accomplish every single one of them before the day ends.

I have allotted some free time but still i feel am stuck with looking at these social media apps from time to time. It's eating a lot of my FREE time, if you know what it means. My free time now i plan to spend with actual people in the REAL WORLD. Away from the limelight of the social media. I have yet to deactivate my account but i have deleted all these apps from my mobile phone. I wonder if it will just be a social media break, BUT for over a week now am enjoying the world around me--- untied from the social media apps of my phone. I feel like shouting FREEDOM! Coz am really free to the real sense of the word.

Have you asked yourself lately on what makes you happy? We may find different definition to happiness, some find it on things others on people. Those who found happiness on things often find themselves empty- longing for more. But when you find happiness on someone else's happiness that's kinda deep. The happiness roots from within.

And you can see smiles from different source and platform. Some you see smiling but their eyes aren't. Some are crying but their eyes twinkling with happiness. What am trying to say is this - i have been trying to find happiness and happiness has found me the day i got my first ever biggest blessing - my daughter yena. And i have been happiest since then. Throughout the years i have been blessed with my second daughter Yani and then our little boy yllac. This happiness is at the deepest form. You see me smiling, cryin or everything in between but my eyes would show one thing. That smile of contentment, pure joy and happiness for being blessed tremendously.

I have prayed for three kids since i was in my twenties. Yes even before i had my first boyfriend and God gave me my wish. And not only that, he gave me the best friend in my spouse. And whenever i look at this collage i smile. God has been blessin me every single day since i have them.

Superhero Costumes for Kids

Was wondering where to get the kids their superhero costumes for yllac's first birthday. First thing to consider is the budget, i know i can find costumes at the mall but they would be expensive. We have 3 kids plus nephews/ nieces to consider So husband and i decided we have to get an affordable costumes at divisoria.

We're glad we were able to get the costumes for only php 300-400 per set at 168 mall!!!

Sweet 16

Spent my weekend with my friends of 16 years! Yes, mah friends from PLM, the same set of friends who aside from my family, knows me fully well!!

It's a bonus to celebrate our get-together to my eldest daughter's 6th birthday at la Traviesa Hotel and Resort. I miss them, i miss us together. Those days when we can have a sleep over and just eat and tell stories til dawn. But now is equally happy moments together since our kids can play or swim or tease each other while we catch up on our lives.

One thing i am very grateful in my life is having them in my college days ( those craZy days of studying accounting and passing all those exams and what not) i cannot imagine my life after SOM without them. It's nice to know i have spent times with good (but equally craaazy people like i am!!) and had fun and still able to finish college with them. If they aren't my friends i wouldnt be where i am today. I mean i maybe well off already. Joke!! Hahaha but seriously who would have thought we will still be super friends after our graduation in 2002?!!!

Now i know there are really people who can keep up with my craziness, moodiness and still looooove me despite of my imperfections.

Fan mode with Dingdong Dantes

I am not usually striken by stars, local i mean. I would perhaps shout at the top of my lungs when i see the whole cast of Showtime but when i heard that Dingdong Dantes was also at izakaya kikufuji where we were also having lunch this afternoon i was excited to have a picture taken with him! A bragging right for my sister who has a picture of them together when she was in college a few years ago.

But the only thing i saw was his shoes outside the room and if not because of the staff, our suki service attedant who i beg to take a picture of him, i will not have this picture...

Oh yes he is really good looking! Am a big fan of him and Marian. It all started on Marimar days when i hurry home every night just to see her on tv and pray to God that my first daughter would be as beautiful and mestisa like her.

Looks like an answered Prayer. Yeah she is mestisa but she looks more like me than marian rivera.! 😊😜

New Year 2014

New year's eve is always something we look forward to. Now that we have three piglets we make sure we follow those traditions from fruits to sweets on the table. We want the whole year to be full of sweetness and love. I requested husband to cook pesto chicken penne, one of our fave dish from Pizza Hut but were not able to get a recipe online. What we were able to copy from pizza hut however is their crab roll salad!!!

Since the three piglets were already sleeping, we feast on these while talking about 2013. It was a very difficult year however we are thankful because this is the year when we received one of our greatest gift, our baby boy Yllac.

Now we look forward to a fruitful year, 2014 the year of the wood horse. Chinese predictions said this is a good year for money for those born in the year of the rooster (like me!) however this isnt a good year for those born on the year of the dog (like husband!). Husband and i really fit to a T. So i guess this is going to be a good year still. Just as long as we are together we can make it one of our best years together. Aja 2014!!!

Let me tell you a love story that you have never heard before. Two different individuals met and had their lives changed 360 degrees, they decided to elope seven years ago. The girl was engaged to be married to another man and the boy broke his girlfriend's heart.

But the girl and the boy were so in love. The girl was disowned by her own mother. On their wedding day, nobody from the girl's side was present. Sad story to start a great love. They lived far away from their parents, slept on the garage of a friend's apartment, managed to get through everyday against all odds.

Seven years after, here they are smiling widely like they didn't pass that hardship. With three kids, they still plan to hold on to that love - that one great love against all odds! :)

I was happy with my blackberry. In fact i was in love with its feature and i love it even more when i can use it in my life online. Cellphones these days arent just for calls and texts, they are not called smartphone for nothing. They are really smart tools for all kinds of communication, or even organizing ones life.

But after a year of so many freak accidents - it being thrown by my second daughter and being a toy of my eldest daughter - i can feel how weak it has become. With being weak that it always hangs on me that i would have to restart from time to time.

And i couldnt be happier now that i can keep up with my online life without worrying of hanging. Now i have my essential tool- a phone, organizer, gadget all in one. Like blogging right now goin back to office after a client meeting. Who hates traffic? i dont! Who's inlove with iphones?! I do!!!

Looking at the Brighter Side

Working with Sales has taught me a lot of new things. Even help me see things in different perspectives. When I would usually complain about my life in general when struggles arise, I started to learn to look at the bright side of things. Trust me, this isn’t easy to do when I am struggling to get back on my feet after almost four months of maternity leave and I have a lot of catching up to do with my “numbers”. This is the main cause of my stress and when I start to feel all left up I just want to raise both my hands and scream surrender---- but NO. I shifted to Sales for one reason – to give the best I can offer to my children’s future and giving up means giving up on them.

So how do I manage to get up every morning after sleepless nights rearing to the one and half year old daughter Yani and to our three months old baby Yllac? I always start the day with a prayer. Yes, to the tune of Madonna’s Say a Little Prayer. I am not prayerful, let me tell you, my husband is and that’s one I am thankful every day. When I feel down with all the things that’s happening at work, I look forward to spending time with my husband (who teases me to no end but whom I feel secure and loved and I can go on with my endless bitching and complaints and still love me in spite all that!). I always thank the Lord that I married an imperfect individual like me BUT I definitely can say – I married a good man!

My children? Well, they are my priceless gifts and I really cannot imagine my life without them. When I feel low, I just look at them and feel am the richest human being on earth. I cannot believe I have so much love to give until I met them. There are so many things to share, but so little time to do so. If you have been here the past years, i'll tell you there has been a lot of things that's going on in our lives. This blog has seen my ups and downs, i have wrote about almost anything here, from my father and mother's health problems, my finding my true love, my pregnancies, my children and all the travels i had with my family BUT i have yet to write about the day i lost the man i loved the most, my father. I still get emotional and have yet to find courage writing about the day i lost a big part of my life. If i can hold myself even for a little while, i will write about that tragic day on his first year's death anniversary in August. That's if i can.

Anyway, i have been talking about change, now let me tell them one by one. My family has become bigger, now we have two girls and one boy. Yes, i gave birth (via CS for the 3rd time!) to a healthy baby boy last March. In April, husband has to shift from Finance to Sales, just like i did last year! Now we're both on the selling field. But he has to learn how to drive and is now driving going to work, and because he loves me that much, he drops me off in my work first and fetch me every single day.

When before, we would talk and sleep in the bus, now we have each other in his car every day, our moments to talk about everything and anything under the sun. With three kids at home, we hardly find time to do that at home. When the kids are sleep at night, we're both tired to still catch up on what happened the whole day. And husband has yet to finish his masteral class he started last year. To study and work at the same time is hard and i have to give that to husband. He has been under a lot of stress lately and even if he tells me everything, i still can feel how difficult it is for him - to be a newbie in Sales and to finish his MBA. What does a wife do? Support him in anyway i can.

Now we're embracing all these changes, well change is good. I know we'll go through a lot of things in the future but as long as we have each other we're going to make it through.
