Printhead errors: reinsert the printhead

- Open the front door of the printer, and then open the printhead access door.
- Pull the latch forward, and then remove the printhead.
- Wipe the printhead contacts using a clean, lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the printhead, and then push the latch until it clicks into place.
- Close the printhead access door, and then close the front door.
- If the error persist, the printhead must be replaced.

Solution 1:

Switch on the printer.
Disconnect USB cable or lan cable and disconnect the power cable.
Wait for 30 seconds.
Connect the power cable.
Switch on the printer.

Solution 2:

If the error persist.
Disconnect the power cable with the printer powered on.
Hold on "OK" et "HELP" buttons while plugging in the power cord.
Switch on the printer.

Solution 3:

Uninstall printer driver and software.
Disconnect USB cable.
Reboot and reconnect the printer.
Install the drivers.

In the firewall: verify that the printer is not blocked.

That's a "tray raise or lowering error".

Solution 1:

Check and clean the upper limit switch.

Replace the upper limet switch

Check the shift motor operation and finisher control PCB board.

Could appears on HP DesignJets 800 Series, DesignJet 500 and 510.

Printer show a System Error: 61:05

The problem:

That's an error Processing Job.
This Error Code appears in these HP DesignJets with an HPGL/ 2 card installed, when processing either a PostScript or HP-GL/2 file.

Solution 1:

Switch the Printer Off
Wait a few minutes.
Switch the Printer On
Resend the file that you were trying to print.

Solution 2:

If the Error Code reappears, try to generate the file again and try to print again.
If the file that is causing this error is PostScript, check if it is Binary. If the file is Binary, use AppleTalk to send the file to the Printer.
If AppleTalk is not being used to send the Binary file to the Printer, you have to change the PostScript settings to Binary through the Front Panel (Set-up menu / PS settings / Encoding / Binary).

Solution:

Turn off the printer.
Open the panel door exposing the toner waste container and cartridge access area.
Gently pry away the waste toner container from the printer. Put the waste toner powder into a garbage bag.
There are two manual screws holding the transfer belt component securely. One is on the left upper part, one is on the right. They are designed to loosen, but stay attached to the transfer belt component. Flip the large blue handle with the arrow upward.
Look for a portuding squarish handle below the larger blue handle transfer belt component. Look caredfully at the diagram on this little handle. You must squeeze the level on the underside of this squarish handle to unlock it. Once unlocked you carefully slide this part out. Put this whole component aside for later assembly back in.
Carefully slide out the larger transfer belt component about 2/3 of the way out. You should see a pale green plastic handle on the top of this part. You can grab that handle to assist you to remove the part completely from the printer. At the end of sliding the component outward you will need to carefully angle the part upward because there is a metal guide track at the upper most portion of the part which will prevent the part from disengagin from the track unless you angle the part upward at the very end of the slide.
Examine the somewhat shiny plasticky belt to be not torn, damaged or dirty...
Angle the transfer belt part upward (the end closest to you goes upward) and guide the part onto the metal guide track at the upper portion of the printer. Slide the component in.
Tighten the two hand-screws.
Slide the shiny green cynliner component back in. Make sure to squeeze the underside of that squarish handle at the final insertion because that permits the component to seat properly and lock in place.
Flip the large blue handle back into the down position as before we started this process.
Vacuum the two spots where the waste toner container port holes fit into.
Put the waste toner container back into position.
Close the door.
Turn on the printer.

Error 5B00; the waste ink counter need to be resetted:

Turn off the printer
Hold the Resume Button (red circle in the triangle), add a printer (click “Power”) an indicator light green.
Hold the Power Button, release the Resume Button.
Not releasing the Power Button, double click “Resume” and release Both Buttons.
Click “Resume” for Four times
Once you click “Power”, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber). To disable the printer “Power” button to click again.

General Printer Error 0x61011be5.

Appears on these printers: D7560, C309A, C5390, C6380, ...

Genraly it's a carriage jam or a printhead issue.

Solution 1: Do a reset of the printer to factory default settings

Verify that the unit is switched on.
Disconnect the power cable from All-in-One and also from wall outlet.
Wait a minute.
Plug in the power cable to the printer and also to wall outlet.
Unplug the power cable from the printer (with the printer powered on) and wait for 20 seconds.
Then, press and hold "#" and "6" while plugging in the power cord.
Release the buttons after connect power cord.

Solution 2:

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over
Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
With a cotton swabs dipped in hot water, clean gently the print head and each ink cartridge, until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
Once all is dry, replace the cartridges
Do a print test.
If the error is still here: there are two possibilities:
One of the ink cartridges is defective and causing the error
The print head will need to be replaced. (CN642A)

How to reset Waste ink Counter on Canon Pixma MP480 printer

After a message error like "Ink Absorber is Full", you need to reset the printer to solve the issue:

Download the resetter software

Power cable and usb cable must be connected

Solution:

Enter in the Service Mode:

1. Turn off the printer without pulling the power cords.
2. Hold down STOP/RESET button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let STOP/RESET button go.
4. Then Press STOP/RESET button twice then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Alternate Blinking error is gone: your are in Service Mode state.

Use the Resetter:

1. Extract the resetter software and double click "MP480.exe" W
2. Click Reload Button and you will get a new USB port.
3. Load some papers in your printer and press the "Main" Button once,
4. Wait until the printing is done.
5. Then press "EEPROM Clear" button to clear EEPROM.
6. Then press EEPROM button and the printer will print some text.
7. Then power off the printer and turn on again.

Sometimes, when you have replaced the Image Transfer Belt, the printer still does not work. You will have to reset the counter.

Procedure:

Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4] quickly.
Select Tech Menu
Select DataSetup
Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter
Enter Password 1934
Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.

The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu and then power cycle the printer.
