A 100% ELECTRIC VEHICLE

The CITROËN C-ZERO is a full-electric vehicle powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 47kW or 64bhp EEC from 3,000 to 6,000rpm. Maximum torque of 180Nm is available from 0 to 2,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear axle via a single-speed reduction gear.

The motor is powered by a latest-generation 330-volt lithium-ion battery system comprising 88 50Ah cells (for onboard energy of 16kWh), mounted in the centre of the vehicle. Lithium-ion technology keeps battery weight down compared with conventional technology, while offering equivalent performance. It is also resistant to partial re-charges, which have no impact on battery longevity.

EASY TO CHARGE, EASY TO USE

Re-charging the C-ZERO's batteries could not be simpler. Owners plug the supply cord into a 220-volt socket. A complete charge takes six hours, while an 80% charge is possible in just 30 minutes using an external station with a single-phase current of 125A at 400V, for power of up to 50kW.

Using the car is equally simple. When the driver turns the ignition key, a beep confirms that the car is running. CITROËN C-ZERO drives like a regular car with an automatic gearbox. The traditional fuel gauge is replaced by a battery charge indicator.

The CITROËN C-ZERO is perfectly adapted to the needs of all kinds of users - including public sector operators, local authorities, smaller businesses and company fleets - and also to those of private customers looking for a car with exceptionally low running costs.

The design of the upcoming 6-Series will certainly be taking cues from the current 7-Series but also be inspired by the CS Concept. The wide grill and headlamps providing for a mean-eyed cat look fitting to the performance model's identity.

Spy photographer reports that there has been a dry spell in spotting the upcoming 6-Series in testing (since spring) because BMW insiders say there have been some hiccups in the brand's development of the performance coupe/convertible.

According to insiders it appears they've settled upon a rigid roof coupe plus a canvas-top convertible version as indicated with shots of this 6-Series with a canvas only roof as confirmed by our spy photographer who checked inside and knocked on it with his hand.

BMW had some trouble deciding whether the 6-Series would come only as a single model convertible with a folding hardtop, or as two models - a rigid roof coupe and a convertible with a soft top. That would explain why previous prototypes were spotted with an ill-fitting canvas top laid over a supposed folding hard top.

The Lincoln MKS strongly hints at the design direction for Lincoln and its upcoming new flagship sedan. Lincoln MKS' expressive design is defined by sculpted fluid surfacing that conveys an athletic nature and performance.

A clean, contemporary interior includes the comfort and convenience hallmarks that will define Lincoln vehicles going forward. Exterior Design

Expressive, refined styling defines the exterior. The Lincoln MKS is a luxury vehicle that has elegance and composure and is at home in any setting. Its face is a modern interpretation of the classic Lincoln grille, combining the waterfall and the brand's signature crosshatch star.

"Everything about the design of the Lincoln MKS flows from the star and then directs the eye back to it," explains Patrick Schiavone, design director, North America Car. "It's like an abstract arrow that points you to the star and breaks up the weight of the hood."

The confident stance and clean front of the Lincoln MKS signal an understated strength, while the vehicle's surface communicates motion. As the sculpted hood travels back to the cowling, it curves upward to greet the A-pillars. The eye is pulled up and around the car's silhouette and over its dynamic shoulder line to its powerful haunches.

"Lincoln MKS communicates power, motion and speed," says Schiavone. "It's athletic and muscular, yet elegant."

A Footprint for Style, Speed

With substantial 20-inch wheels – the largest ever on a Lincoln sedan – the Lincoln MKS belongs to the serious drivers. Designed with five main spokes and five offset spokes in contrasting polished and vapor-blasted alloy, the wheels reflect light at varying angles to convey a sense of speed.

"Traditionally in the design vocabulary, a sport wheel has five spokes, while luxury wheels are multispoked," says Schiavone. "The Lincoln MKS is both sporting and luxurious, so we combined the two aesthetics in our 'five/five' wheel."

The Lincoln MKS exquisite exterior color is called Juniper Frost, which is offset by a lower body color of Celadon Green. Side vents are accented by the Lincoln star. A dramatic panoramic glass Vista Roof™ is set between polished alloy finishing rails. The same polished alloy highlights the roof ditch molding and distinguishes the bold rear fenders with dual exhaust tips.

Clean, Modern Interior Makes Every Occupant a VIP

Inside, the Lincoln MKS is a treat for the senses, offering occupants the ultimate in craftsmanship and comfort. The instrument panel features a slender ribbon of Silvered Birdseye maple framed by a polished alloy band. The Vista Roof™ emphasizes the sense of space, while inviting the outdoors into the cabin.

The seats, with supple, full-grain Aniline leather, adjust 14 ways – with individual power controls for driver and passenger. These seats are not only heated, they're cooled. The lower cushions extend, and the lumbar area offers additional support. Suede plays a role in the vehicle's interior elegance. The console is covered in Oxford Grey suede; doors are offset by pearl white suede.

Open-loop Wind Loom carpeting adds texture and warmth. Signature Lincoln Cool White lighting illuminates the cabin in soft hues.

The Lincoln MKS instrument cluster features gauges inspired by precision sports watches – large, easy to read, and well placed for maximum visibility. The gauge needles have flush-fit hubs that contribute to a clean, streamlined look. The readings are marked by subtle raised chaplets, giving the cluster a dash of brightness.

Innovative Technologies Anticipate Driver's Needs

The Lincoln MKS presents a suite of features designed to make life more convenient: Bluetooth, 14-speaker, 500-watt DVD surround-sound audio system, a passive entry system that automatically identifies the driver, push-start ignition, onboard navigation and next-generation headlights that improve nighttime vision around curves in the road.

The adaptive front lighting system improves on current "cornering" lighting technologies by using two light sources working in tandem to help drivers see better around curves. A high-output halogen projection main beam is assisted by a secondary row of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that illuminate as needed. Driven by electronic sensors rather than mechanical motors used in current cornering systems, a row of instantaneous LEDs switch on sequentially as the vehicle rounds the bend.

Navigation systems are not new to the luxury market. But intuitive, easy-to-use navigation systems that put the customer first are. With the Lincoln Mobile Media System there is no complicated, frustrating, endless list of drop-down menus. Here, occupants select a function on an eight-inch LCD touch screen. The functions include navigation, tri-zone climate control, audio entertainment system, connectivity and vehicle information. Then occupants modify directions, temperature and volume through rotary controls.

The Lincoln Mobile Media System allows the driver to download the latest information from information channels, such as the National Weather Center or view the major points of interest along his drive route.

Other advanced adaptive technologies featured in the Lincoln MKS were developed to anticipate the occupants' needs while helping them stay connected. A passive entry system recognizes the driver and automatically unlocks the vehicle and adjusts to his or her personal settings for mirrors, seats, radio dials and temperature. Cell phone calls are transmitted through the 14-speaker surround-sound system, utilizing Bluetooth technology. The Lincoln MKS's Intelligent AWD System will help ensure confident performance, while the vehicle's adaptive lighting system instantly adjusts to help improve nighttime driving visibility.

Engaging Driving Dynamics

Under the hood, an all-aluminum 4.4-liter V-8 engine pumps out 315 horsepower. This engine is paired with Ford Motor Company's smooth-shifting, 6-speed automatic transmission, giving the Lincoln MKS outstanding performance, fuel efficiency and emissions improvements.

Sure-footed power is delivered to all four wheels. The active AWD system provides performance and all-weather traction. A preemptive-slip system reads key parameters that automatically transfers torque to the wheels before they begin to slip.

Lincoln MKS also is equipped with industry-leading safety features. It offers dual front air bags, driver and passenger side air bags and a side air curtain for rollover protection. The steering column tailors its rate of collapse to the driver's size and safety-belt use. A cross-car side impact protection beam under the front seats reinforces the structure between the B-pillars while directing energy away from passengers.

Renault goes Twizy

The more we see of Renault's all-electric line-up on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the more we want to hang out at company cocktail parties. Something delicious and potent must be on tap there. From the elegant and unexpected lines of the Zoe (above, note the recycle logo) to the buggy quirkiness of the Twizy, Renault is displaying some truly fun-looking electric cars here. Now if only these things were available to drive off the lot today, we'd really be getting somewhere.

New Toyota FT-86

Toyota really paid attention to the small details with this concept car. Love all the CF touches everywhere, although they likely won't make production. Really hope the fit and finish of the production versions are equally good and that they keep at least some of the interior design.

Perhaps most telling are the car's overall dimensions. At 163.7 inches long, 69.3 inches, a wheelbase of 101.2 inches, and 49.6 inches high, it's thankfully compact, smaller in length, width and height than the Nissan 370Z, and slightly longer in wheelbase. It's also the first car to wear Toyota's new swoopy styling with some gusto. Dare we say it, we actually like the look of it. It's... exciting, we're so confused here. The interior is obviously all show-car glam and may serve as direction, but we'll be shocked if there are many zippers on the production car's dash.

The Toyota FT-86 concept is the fruit of cooperation between Toyota Motor Company and Subaru, and as such will wear a common chassis and some degree of engine commonality, at the least a 2.0 liter, four cylinder boxer engine dubbed the "C-45 Boxer" and making between 200 and 250 HP will power the rear wheels through a manual six speed transmission, and get this - no hybrid system.

The ML450 HYBRID joins the S400 HYBRID and our BlueTEC diesel models in our portfolio of fuel-efficient and environmentally compatible vehicles and will be offered as part of a special lease only option (no purchase) for a monthly lease price of $659 per month for 36 months and $549 per month for 60 months.

The ML450 HYBRID fulfills the same crash test requirements and offers outstanding active safety with stability control systems such as ESP, ABS and BAS, as well as 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The New ML450 HYBRID Boasts 46 Percent Better Fuel Economy

The new Mercedes-Benz ML450 HYBRID uses a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine, optimized via the Atkinson cycle, two magneto-electric motors and sophisticated hybrid electronics to produce 46 percent better fuel economy than a comparable V8-powered ML550 model.

Integrated within the modified automatic transmission, each electric motor serves a specific purpose. Dedicated to pulling away under electric power, the motor on the transmission output shaft generates 80 hp and 192 lb.-ft of torque.

Located closer to the gasoline engine, the second electric motor is set up specifically for acceleration and is rated at 83 hp and 173 lb.-ft of torque. Working with both electric motors when full power is needed, the ML450 HYBRID has a total system performance of 335 hp and 381 lb.-ft. of torque.

The electric motors are powered by a liquid-cooled, 288-volt nickel-metal-hydride battery that's enclosed under the rear cargo floor. A powerful computer controls the hybrid system, recalculating the best operating mode 160 times a second. Capable of up to 50 million calculations per second, the system works to maintain an ideal balance between fuel economy and performance.

During parking and low-speed operation, the ML450 HYBRID runs on the electric drive only. The ML450 HYBRID can drive solely on electric power up to a maximum speed of 34 mph. On hard acceleration, the gasoline engine is started automatically, and it works seamlessly with the two electric motors for excellent performance. The hybrid system includes a convenient start-stop function that turns off the gasoline engine – for example, when coasting up to a red light – and re-starts it during acceleration.

During braking and coasting, the electric motor acts as a generator, slowing the SUV and recovering kinetic energy. Under heavy braking, the vehicle's conventional brakes also come into play. Recovered energy is stored in the battery and re-used whenever the SUV runs only on the electric motors.

Next Generation Mazda RX-9

The Mazda RX-9 is a hot topic at the moment. But first we will see the facelifted RX-8 at Detroit, while the sporty RS version will make its appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon. We are not expecting the next generation to arrive before 2012.

The Mazda Taiki Concept only made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Show last October, and now the first alleged RX-9 images pop up on the internet. If we are to believe the rumours, the next generation RX-9 will be (loosely) based on the Taiki Concept. Actually, it seems that only the curvy grille has made it into these images. Power will come from the next generation 1.6 liter twin rotor engine, the Renesis 16x which is claimed to be 20% more powerful and fuel efficient than the current 13B-MSP engine.

We have our doubts about the authenticity of these images but they look good all the same.

Rolls-Royce Celebrates Record

Confirms RR4 model series

Rolls-Royce has been increasingly selling more cars over the past four years, and in 2007 the British super luxury marque went into the four figures with 1,010 units sold. The 4-door Phantom models accounted for 75% of the sales, while it was the Phantom Drophead Coupe which drove the volume increase over the four-figure benchmark.

North Americans bought most Rolls-Royces, accounting for 40% of sales and the market grew by 22%. The United Arab Emirates and China both grew exceptionally (70 and 50% respectively) and show a lot of promise for the future.

“Everybody at Rolls-Royce is delighted with this tremendous result which marks our fifth anniversary in the best possible way,” said Ian Robertson, Chairman and Chief Executive.

What does Rolls-Royce have in store for us in the future. Firstly the Phantom Coupe, based on the 101EX Concept but by 2010 Rolls-Royce is planning to launch a new model series, currently referred to as RR4, which will sit beside the Phantom models.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars saw sales in 2007 increase by 25 per cent, compared to 2006, with retails of 1010 cars. This is the first time that annual sales have reached four figures and the fourth successive sales increase since the company was launched in 2003.

There was strong demand for all Phantom models, with the four door versions (Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase) remaining the best sellers and accounting for 75 per cent of the total. However, it was the exceptional demand for the new Phantom Drophead Coupé, launched in the summer, which drove the volume increase. Production capacity at Goodwood was maximized by working extended shifts.

“Everybody at Rolls-Royce is delighted with this tremendous result which marks our fifth anniversary in the best possible way,” said Ian Robertson, Chairman and Chief Executive. “It confirms Rolls-Royce as the most desirable brand in the super luxury market and is a credit to the passion and dedication of our teams at Goodwood and around the world. The customer reaction to the Drophead Coupé has been astonishing, exceeding all our expectations.”

North America remained the biggest single market for Rolls-Royce in 2007, accounting for 40 per cent of sales and showing growth of 22 per cent. Exceptional performances were seen in the United Arab Emirates and in China which grew by around 70 and 50 per cent respectively.

The Rolls-Royce dealer network expanded to 80 in 2007, with new showrooms including St Petersburg, Kiev and Dresden. The top selling dealers worldwide in 2007 were, respectively, Beverly Hills, London, Abu Dhabi, Tokyo and Dubai. Abu Dhabi saw the highest annual increase, with sales more than doubling.

Looking ahead in 2008, Rolls-Royce has announced its intention to launch a two-door coupé model, based on the Phantom, in the summer. Further into the future a new Rolls-Royce model series, to sit alongside the Phantom models, will be launched in 2010, currently named RR4.

New BMW X5 3.0sd

BMW's class-leading Sports Activity Vehicle is now available with the world's most powerful production six-cylinder diesel powerplant. The award-winning twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel engine has been brought to the BMW X5 range to cater for a growing demand for performance SAVs.

The BMW X5 3.0sd provides the driver with 286hp and a flat torque curve with a peak of 580Nm from a lowly 1,750rpm to ensure rapid performance. The X5 3.0sd is capable of accelerating from zero to 62mph in 7.0 seconds before going on to a top speed of 146mph.

The drivetrain in the BMW X5 3.0sd is unique in its segment as it utilises two differently sized turbochargers operating in sequential stages depending on driver inputs. The key to the engine's smooth power delivery is that, despite the mechanics of two turbochargers providing variable power, they deliver a consistent 2.85bar pressure to the intercooler at all times. One smaller turbocharger provides near instantaneous power at low engine speeds, while a larger turbocharger provides the mid to top end power. The boost of both turbochargers is a regulated by an ECU and three control valves. This arrangement ensures optimum performance delivery from just above idle speed through to the red line and makes for impressive performance figures and an absence of turbo lag.

Power in the X5 3.0sd is transmitted to the road via a standard six-speed automatic gearbox and BMW's renowned xDrive four-wheel-drive system. Complementing xDrive technology is the use of Dynamic Stability Control + including Dynamic Traction Control. DSC+ is the most advanced stability control system currently available on a production car and comes with four additional features above and beyond the original DSC system. DSC+ adds Hill-start assistant, Brake pre-tensioning, Brake fade compensation and Brake drying. Dynamic Traction Control, when engaged, allows for a degree of wheel slip to permit forward motion on slippery surfaces such as ice and snow. It also allows the keener driver to revel in the handling characteristics of the X5 without the DSC+ interrupting the flow unless the situation becomes critical.

Diesel power accounts for more than 90 per cent of X5 sales in the UK and the new X5 3.0sd is being introduced to satisfy the wishes of some existing X5 owners who asked for an even greater level of performance. To cope with this the X5 3.0sd features uprated brakes compared to a standard 3.0d and comes fitted with thicker and larger diameter disc brakes for greater retardation. For a subtle and discreet visual differentiation between the two diesel X5 models the 3.0sd also has a chrome kidney grille with titanium vertical slats.

The BMW X5 3.0sd is on sale now and costs Ã‚Â£42,630 OTR for SE versions and Ã‚Â£47,675 OTR for the M Sport.

The announcement of the X5 3.0sd coincides with the news that the M Sport trim level is now available on the rest of the BMW X5 range. Launched initially on the 4.8-litre car only, M Sport allows customers to further personalise their vehicle. Standard M Sport equipment includes 19-inch light alloy M V-spoke wheels, M Aerodynamic bodystyling, M leather steering wheel, Sports suspension, Sports seats, Nevada leather upholstery, Anthracite headlining and Brushed Aluminium interior trim.

The re-interpreted contour line, as seen from the side, serves to emphasise the technical concept of rear-wheel drive so crucial to dynamic performance on the road. Subdividing the silhouette of the car into various sections, the contour line stretches from the beginning of the A-pillar in a gentle, rising movement all the way up above the front door, gradually petering out beneath the rear side window. Then the contour line starts again in the lower section of the rear door, first running parallel to the wheel cut-out in a powerful arch. From there the rear contour line is continued as a straight line also rising slightly up to the rear end of the car.

The roof-line likewise tapering out gently to the rear also provides a brand-new effect when looking at the car from the side, adding a touch never seen before on a saloon. The striking contour of the C-pillar, in turn, provides an additional visual highlight of attractive clarity, the transition of the C-pillar into the rear section of the car tapering out at a lower angle than the steeper rear window rising up from its base point. This creates a unique expression of classic notchback design highly individualised and varying according to your angle of vision. At the bottom, the C-pillar offers a new, enhanced interpretation of the reverse line sweeping to the front known by tradition as the "Hofmeister kick". And last but not least, a gentle and extremely attractive light-edge stands out above the side window precisely where the C-pillar merges into the roof-line.

Characteristic front-end design consistently enhanced.

The front-end design of the BMW Concept CS is a particularly striking example of the consistent enhancement of BMW's design language. Here the BMW kidney grille stands out as a powerful element typical of the BMW brand and naturally a famous icon of body design, giving the car its unique look and emphasising the flow of air into the engine. Indeed, the kidney grille is not only the central, but also the dominating element in the design of the entire front end.

Through its dimensions alone, as well as its position slightly inclined to the front, the kidney grille establishes a clear link to classic BMW sports cars. All further elements at the front end of the car are angled in the direction of travel and designed as a genuine sculpture around the kidney grille, with all directly adjacent surfaces being modelled in concave design.

Significant functional features add further meaning to this special look of the car, with the BMW kidney grille serving as the primary supply of air to the engine. The two recesses in the front side panels, in turn, help to cool the brakes on the car. And since a power unit befitting the dynamic character of such a sports saloon most probably requires an ample flow of cooling air, the need for an extra-large kidney grille is obvious at first sight. Applying the philosophy that "form follows function", the contours on the engine compartment typical of a BMW have developed into a genuine sign of distinction born out of technical needs and requirements. On the BMW Concept CS, the powerdome as a further highlight in design extends over the power unit as a particularly large, almost awe-inspiring design feature.

The engine compartment lid is supported at either side by headlight units merging flush into the design of the car and resting flat on the side panels, extending far back into the front wings. The slender space thus left over above the extra-large wheel arches underlies the agility and, accordingly, the athletic performance of the car.

Innovative headlight technology.

Within the dynamic, low-slung headlight units featured in the BMW Concept CS, particularly innovative technology serves to generate a powerful and consistent light beam: Innovative LED reverse-projection lights bundle their light on a reflection area from where the beam is conveyed smoothly, consistently and with utmost precision to the road ahead. This provides a particularly homogenous area of illumination without the slightest dazzling effect, since the oncoming motorist does not look directly at the projectors.

The short front overhang of the body creates yet another sign confirming the sporting concept of the car, showing the connoisseur clearly that the engine may be placed behind the front wheel suspension. Obviously, such arrangement of the engine serves once again to make the car particularly agile and dynamic on the road.

The extra-large wheel arches offer space for big 21-inch wheels - again exceptional proportions alluding clearly to an extremely high standard of steering precision and tracking stability. First Ever Mustang Convertible for Sale

How special would a Ford Mustang have to be in order to command an astonishing sum of $5.5m for a Ford Mustang? Probably, one of the rarest Mustangs to exist, right? Well, that's exactly what has turned up. Car classifieds site ClassicMuscleCars.com is presenting a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible claiming it is the first Mustang ever built and also the first to be sold one day before the official launch.

There were 185 pre-production Mustangs produced on March 5, 1964, but they were used for testing and racing. Ford’s Dearborn assembly line manufactured the first production car on March 9. The preordered Mustang Convertible was then delivered to its owner the evening of April 16th, less than one day before the official public launch on the 17th, therefore, making it even more collectible since it's the first Mustang sold to the public ahead of its official launch. Ford had aired a National television commerical campaign appearing on every network on the evening of April 16 which resulted in 22,000 cars sold the following day.

If you don’t have $5.5m available, don’t get too worried. The one-off 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible can be purchased for only $42,064.26 per month with $1,000,000 down payment. It has the original registration plates and comes with full ownership history including a letter from William Clay Ford, who borrowed the Mustang for his grand daughter's wedding ceremony in 2006. After restorations in 1983 were made, the car keeps it outstanding appeal by looking like it just rolled off of the production line.

FORD TO REVEAL NEW FUEL-SAVING CONCEPT IN DETROIT

The Ford Explorer America concept showcases a new kind of utility for the vehicle customers have known and loved for years: even better fuel efficiency.

“Customers are smart. They value vehicles – the more efficient, the better,” said Jim Farley, Ford group vice president of Marketing and Communications. “Ford gets it.

“Innovative technologies can transform people’s favorite vehicles. Look at SYNC, the Ford system that connects people and their favorite portable devices, including media players and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, while in their vehicles.”

Technologies and engineering innovations help Explorer America concept deliver an approximately 20 to 30 percent fuel-economy improvement, depending on engine selection, while providing room for six and their gear as well as moderate towing and off-roading capabilities.

This smarter utility concept simplifies Ford Motor Company’s systems approach for delivering sustainable vehicles, specifically demonstrating:

A powertrain lineup that includes a 4-cylinder 2-liter engine with EcoBoost technology delivering 275 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque or, as a premium engine, a 3.5-liter V-6 delivering about 340 hp. Depending on engine selection, fuel-efficiency will improve by 20 to 30 percent versus today’s V-6 Explorer.

Migration from current body-on-frame to unibody construction, reducing weight and delivering superior driving dynamics.

A fuel-efficient 6-speed transmission with auto shift control, allowing the driver to select and hold a lower gear with just the turn of a dial when conditions warrant it.

A weight reduction of 150 pounds for the V-6 version thanks to its downsized – yet superior performing – engine, as well as more lightweight materials, suspension and chassis components.

Fuel-saving electric power assisted steering (EPAS) and other engine actions that deliver a fuel savings benefit of about 5 percent. Between 80 to 90 percent of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles will have EPAS by 2012.

Porsche Panamera Hybrid Schematics

Full parallel hybrid
The Porsche Panamera will have to hit the ground running at the end of the decade in order to compete with the Aston Martin Rapide, Mercedes CLS, BMW 8-Series and in the lower regions of the four-door GT class, the VW Passat Coupe. One major selling point for the Panamera might become the availability of a full parallel hybrid engine, offering consumption of less than 9 liter per 100 kilometers.

The newly developed full parallel hybrid system is based on the current Porsche Cayenne Hybrid will consist primarely of the battery unit in the luggage compartment, power electronics, and an additional clutch and electric motor between the engine and transmission. This set-up allows the car to be driven using the gasoline engine (classic Porsche sport style), electric engine (emissions free all-electric driving) or use them both as one power unit, combining the best of both worlds.

The Porsche Panamera will initially be offered with proven drivetrains in 2009 with a hybrid version following later, depending on market requirements.

Forever young

Okay, so we have spotted disguised Maserati Quattroportes before, but never did we see one as heavily covered up as on these photos. What is Maserati hiding? A more extensive facelift than initially planned, or has Maserati tried to pull one over on us?

This prototype seems to be hiding a new front end, bigger headlamps and bigger air-intakes in the revised front bumper. Our spies also expect to see new engines with direct fuel injection in order to ensure better fuel economy, after all lower fuel consumption is the trend these days.

The rear had some black tape disguise too, so we can expect a few alterations on the back bumper as well. The Maserati Quattroporte is going to have some tough competition in the near future with the new Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide so keeping the car looking fresh and new is vital. The next-gen Quattroporte is not due until 2012.

Four seater Coupe´s have a long tradition at Ferrari. The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti shows that there is no need to renounce to the advantages of a “super-sport” car. It impresses with its V12 engine and the resulting performance.

The modified engine electronic as well as the stainless steel exhaust system upgrade the performance of the Novitec Rosso 612 Scaglietti to 555 PS and increase the responding behaviour. 8-pistons calipers at the front and 4-Kolben at the rear put powerful pressure on the 380mm brake discs of the Novitec high-performance brake system and assures the driver a sovereign deceleration.
