LA INK Tattoos - Tattoos White Ink

The standard method of applying a tattoo starts with the basic scheme of black ink (line work). Then follow the color layers.

White tattoos are totally different because there is no scheme at all and the whole image that is being done in white. The end result is a tattoo that has a subtle, almost "ghost" image type.

Templates are often used because the black of the template itself has a tendency to contaminate the target, as it works on the skin.

White ink is not used as standard inks used, but it is thicker and of a different composition, designed to highlight some more.

Since it is a relatively new application of body art that there are some risks involved. Not all tattoo studios will deal with this method due to these risks.

Risks of white ink tattoos can include:

Skin reactions are usually more severe at this level denser ink is required to make the image. The application usually itch, scabies and even the "mud" than usual as it heals. The skin may completely reject the ink and leave you with no picture at all.

White tattoos fade quickly in the sun, so must be protected at all times.

Freehand drawing is the most common form of applying a white image. Some artists can get away from this.

What is the advantage of having a white tattoo?

Lindsey Lohan (poor girl), is a wonderful example of how a white tattoo may be significant. It is said that ...

"Breathe"

It is located on the inside of your wrist, visible only to those who know it's there. Probably one of the wisest things he has done in the midst of his tragic life struggles.

A white tattoo works best with smaller images of the stars, hearts, Celtic designs and small words, which are designed to be a silhouette in the design.

It's a great way to create an image of "just for you" which reflects a small personal mantra or reminder of motivation.

When you hear of getting a tattoo in white ink, usually means a design that is in all white ink, with other colors. These tattoos are usually more subtle than strong blaringly designs you would get with black ink or color markings. A white ink tattoo more often than not, more like a scar / mark. It's a great way to get inked in a more private. These brands are usually very visible only when someone deliberately show. It's the best of both worlds. You can have your very personal art, without obtaining any kind of negative attention in formal meetings or at work.

Simplicity is key when it comes to white ink tattoos. Please note that your tattoo artist will work with the ink that is a little harder to see. Simplistic art has a good chance to show more clearly than a complicated one. Selections include fashion shooting star tattoos, dragons, in writing, key tattoos, kanji symbols, hearts, and the basic patterns of the tribe. These are much easier to ink, and less likely to end up as a blur confusing and disappointing. All white tattoos must be signed by a couple of times to ensure that the final model is as noticeable as possible. In addition, the darker skin color tends to dim the brightness of the white ink.

With a typical tattoo, the design is usually printed before shading. The contours are made with a dark ink, usually black. This model provides a very noticeable that the artist uses to stay the course. Tattoos without any dark ink tend to be slightly blurred. It is more difficult to follow what they have signed to use only white ink. If a different color ink is used with white, which can result in the dining room of a homogeneous mixture.

The ink used is completely different from base white ink than other dye. When ink is used as the principal, you get a much thicker, high-quality mix that has been created solely to highlight as much as possible.

White ink tattoos loses some of its brightness and clarity if they are constantly under the sun. If you receive this type of design, be sure to keep away from the sun as much as possible. The easiest way to do this is to get inked in an area normally covered. The back or chest to make ideal areas. If you normally wear clothing with a little cap in the summer, you could also try to use the shoulder or below the ankle. (Please note - any tattoo applied near a bone will hurt more than one that is placed over the muscle).

If a template is used in white ink tattoo, the artist can make the scheme in his own blood or with a purple tint. As a caveat, the blood can sometimes pink dye ink and purple can be mixed well. Your best bet is to have a professional do a simple design and no template. Ask your tattoo artist if he or she has much experience with white ink before letting them rely on the skin.

Sometimes people have a bad reaction to the white ink. The reactions can also occur with black ink, but which happen more often with white. The reactions include itching and inflammation. In some cases the ink can also turn yellow when mixed with sweat. As a method of prevention, there is nothing wrong with asking for a small sample of ink in the area you are trying to make the complete design. Thus, more confident you are left with a large tattoo instead of an ugly scar.

As with the ink, if not make the effort to take special care of your new tattoo, you could end up with something that barely resembles the art I wanted. Do not scratch or touch the area. Always keep the gauze in a minimum of 2 hours. Never hide a new tattoo with plastic / Saran Wrap. Use only warm water, gentle antibacterial liquid soap, and their bare hands to clean the area. Slightly gently with a paper towel to dry. Do not place items such as sunscreen or Neosporin in the area. Finally - be careful not to let your new tattoo to get too much sunlight until it heals.

Just follow these steps and you have the best chance of having a clear design and subtle that you can show your friends.

Miami Ink Tattoos - Stories behind the large selection of tattoos designs

Miami Ink is a reality show on The Learning Channel (LTC), filmed in South Beach, Miami. That takes you behind the scenes so you can see and experience the real thrill of getting a tattoo and what they mean for people who are signed. The show exposes tats for what they really are - a means of free expression that have profound significance for the people receiving. Based on the wide range of people who signed, it becomes very obvious that it is very popular in all corners of society. Although some customers have the experience and have already achieved a number of designs, you can also see people who receive their first body art, and the process to go through in their attempt to turn an idea into a design.

The real beauty of the show is listening to the stories that people provide about why they are getting the tattoo and what particular design means to them. Most of the stories are truly inspiring. The show lets us into what we see from the time the customer enters the room through the finished work of art. We have the experience that the client works with an idea to develop a complete design, then watch as the artwork and, finally, show the final product, awesome body art. It is amazing.

For anyone thinking of getting their first eye, the show is a great way to see how others begin with an idea and work with the slow development that the final result. You get to see the evolution of design, the thought process behind it and the final product. You also have to see how people select the body part to locate the body art, a very important decision that should do well. You get to see first hand how difficult it is to get a really good design.

Miami Ink, TLC through, but allows people to apply for audition to go on the program. It requires you to have a clear idea of what design you want before hand, and that the artist wants to be tattooed, but that could be signed into the program and become a star!

Behind every individual story are the artists that provide continuity from one sample to another - are Ami James, Chris Garver, Darren Brass, Chris Nunez and Yojiro Harada apprentice. His characters are a good mix and you get to see the artists at work and play. They provide entertainment for people of adjustment in the next week to see how new customers walk in the door with an idea and see the change in the idea of an awesome tattoo design to be proud.

Interestingly, one of my favorite shows on television is Miami Ink. Why? Because I'm probably one of the last people in the world ever get a tattoo.

Despite this I still love the show. Although probably never get a tattoo that you can appreciate art. In essence that's what Miami Ink is about, great artists to produce a new work of art each week. Especially when they leave traditional tattoo staples of skulls (tough stickers) and the like and move on flowers, wildlife and portraits.

The main characters of the show are tattoo artists who work in Miami Ink. These include AMI - one of the main store owners and very good with a very strong personality, if you dare to call to make considering that bald is a bit of a fighter. This strong personality that comes out in the tattoo of his best work when the client is allowed to work free hand.

Núñez co-owns the company and is the man of the match. He gives you the feeling that enjoys life and people.

Garver is probably the best tattoo artist in the shop that has years of experience to bear on their bodies, but when it comes to large chunks of substance seems to be your man - just do not ask a fairy tattoo.

KAT is the only female tattoo artist in the store and is the person to see if you want a quality portrait photo of someone close to you want to remember.

Darren is the shortest in the group, but that means you can be closer to their work.

Finally, there is still nervous YOJI apprentice learning the trade.

The show is mostly about the tattoo, but also about the artists and people who come to visit. Most have a reason I want a tattoo in particular. This is what keeps the show fresh - new people all the shows. Above all, the show continues in the lives of artists - fishing trips, parties, fun and struggles, it makes you feel like a friend, not just a spectator.

Miami Ink is not just the name of a tattoo shop Miami Ink is the name of a classic TV reality show.

Tattoos Of Faith, Drawings, Images And Ideas

One issue on which most Bible-based religions agree on is that a tattoo is wrong. Fundamentalist Christians, Catholics and Jews all agree on this point. They, however, have very different views on why it is wrong. It is interesting to look at the beliefs and viewpoints of these religions - not just what everyone thinks, but what all the bases in the belief

For fundamentalist Christians, the common view is that people should not have tattoos tattoos, because they are "a pagan practice." Fundamentalist leaders say that this is reason enough not to have tattoos, but also add that none of the Bible according to which a person can not. Any confusion on this point of view is explained by the fact that the fundamentalist belief that the Bible consists of the entire New Testament and the New Testament contains no reference to the tattoo, positive or negative. Target practice of tattooing something that has been or is going to the Gentiles, is the main object of their practice.

As Catholics we believe that the Old Testament is as relevant as the New Testament, Catholic general negativity towards the subject is covered in the scriptures such as Leviticus 19:28, which reads: "Thou shalt not break in your body the dead, nor make any tattoo in itself ... "For most Catholics, however, is still often considered more a matter of personal interpretation and personal choice. The modern habit of Catholic interpretation of the book is that while the tattoo is really bad as biblical standards is not necessarily a sin.

The Jewish faith is the theme, and the negativity of it, even more.

Like the books of the Old Testament to be exported to the word of God and the commandments, which must be observed, is a Jew to believe tattoos are something that simply does not. This command against the desecration of the institution is proported to be one of the main reasons for tattooing have been careful to Jews in concentration camps during the Holocaust, was not only identified, many people assume. Tribal Tattoos - Tradition, Eternity and Coolness

Tribal tattoos are today some of the most widespread and loved by women and men all around the world. It is probably not wrong to consider the tribal style the original tattoo style. These tattoos take their name from the function they have had for thousands of years in tribes in different part of the world. Tattoos today are usually considered cool designs to show off, but it has not always been that way.

Tattoos are almost as old as mankind itself. Origins of tribal tattoos go back in history for thousands of years. The oldest tattooed body ever, the famous Otzi mummy, belonged to a man died more than 5000 years ago, who apparently had something like 57 tattoos. This mummy has reached such a symbolic importance among tattoo lovers that a Hollywood star like Brad Pitt has got its outline tattooed on his arm.

Other ancient traces of tribal tattoo designs are to be found on Egyptian mummies. But these tattoos were used by several ancient tribes all over the world as symbol of their membership to the tribe. A membership for life, that had to be honoured and defended. Tattoos have often been connected with concepts like pride, honour, courage, victory and even gods and religions. That's because of the peculiarities of tattoos: their beauty, the noble pain you have to endure to get one (many are those who still today choose to get a tattoo in old traditional ways, ascribing a value to the pain they feel during the tattoo session) and the most characteristic one, their permanence.

Tattoos are permanent: Otzi is the proof that tattoo last longer than life itself. This aspect, so often neglected nowadays, has always been of primary importance in any known historical culture.

Probably the best known tribal tattoos in the world are those of the Maori people, who used to engrave their tattoos with chisels onto their faces. This most painful tattoo tradition was accepted with pride from all those "lucky ones" who proved themselves worthy of such an honour.

Today not much is left of the spiritual side of tribal tattoos. Nonetheless, their incredibly long and rich history emphasizes their charm and attracts more and more young men and women.

An important aspect for modern tattoo lovers is the versatility of this kind of tattoo. Tribal tattoos are not really a tattoo genre, like flower tattoos or dragon tattoos. Tribal is more a style. Any kind of standard tattoo design can be translated in tribal style. Women love butterfly tribal tattoos at least as much as men love animal tribal tattoos, like dragon, scorpion and tiger tattoos.

The possibilities are potentially infinite. Should you decide to go for Tribal tattoos, think about their history, the meaning and importance they have had for millions of people from all over the world and wear them with pride.

It's just a matter of letting your fantasy fly free and find the best tattoo design for you.

Tribal Tattoo Designs - Oldest Tattoos

Tribal tattoo designs have been the first tattoo designs to be used. Tattoos originated in various tribes across the world, where members of each tribe would paint or scar certain marks on them. Tattooing is done today by inserting ink in the pores of the skin so as to make a permanent mark on the skin but this originated in various primitive tribes as an extremely crude and painful procedure.

It is known that several tribes such as Celtic, Irish, Chinese, Indian, African, Native American, Maori, etc. all over the world used tattoos. The design themes that these tribes used have collectively come to be known as tribal tattoo designs. Tribal tattoos are generally done in black color.

The tribes generally used tattoos to honor God or to identify members of their tribe. They might have also been used as symbol of bravery and courage, as during those times it was extremely tormenting to get a tattoo. Tattoos were also used to commemorate certain occasions in the life of tribesmen such birth of new born or entering into adulthood, etc. or to mark certain events in the history of the tribe such as victory in a war or end of famine, etc.

Both men and women in the tribe usually get tattoos but men generally get more tattoos than women. Also it is common in certain tribes for men to get tattoos all over their face but women would usually only get tattoos on checks or other parts of their body.

Even though most tribes used extremely primitive techniques to draw their tattoos, their designs are very exotic and articulate. These tattoo designs are extremely detailed and are very difficult to reproduce. So if you are planning to get a tribal tattoo it is exceptionally important that you visit an artist who specializes in tribal art. Not every tattoo artist will be able to ink a good tribal tattoo for this kind of tattoo requires a lot of precision.

Also before getting a tribal tattoo, it is important that you try to find out what it symbolizes. Tribal tattoos have a lot of in-depth meaning attached to their designs. Though the designs might look simple but they are very mystical in nature and you will be able to really appreciate a tribal tattoo only if you know the hidden meaning behind it.

Tribal tattoos can also be combined with other designs such as animals, floral, weapons, etc. But it is important for tribal art to be unique; it doesn't look good if you have cookie cutter designs. For this reason it is extremely important as to how you get the tribal design. If you just pick up your design by doing a search on the internet, you might end up with a fake tribal tattoo or something that has been used by thousands of people. In some tribe it is actually considered an insult to copy that tattoo.

It is best to get your tribal tattoo designs from a paid tattoo website. These websites hire tattoo artists to create these designs and they are very different than what you find on the free websites. Moreover upon request on some of these websites, you can even request the artist to customize your tattoo to make it unique for you.

Maori Tattoos - Art and Meaning

Of all the types of body art around the world it's the traditional Maori design that appeals to me most. If you've ever had a chance to see these distinctive and intricate designs you will already be aware as to just how dramatic and beautiful they are. Striking yes, but their hidden meaning is not always understood and often overlooked by those that don't understand. What is the meaning of these permanent marks on the skin and how they can be interpreted? Hopefully the rest of this article will open your eyes to the significance of these tattoos.

What really makes a Maori tattoo stand out is the beautiful spiral and curve patterns, made with really intricate detail they can possess an almost hypnotic quality. Originally these tattoos were placed on the face where they were carved in the skin using a chisel, not exactly for the squeamish that one! Adding to that the legs and buttocks of men could be covered with other bolder designs. For the women tattoos were for the most part restricted to their chin and lips but the back and neck are also popular spots. Tattoos using the bone chisels were started in childhood and then added to whenever an important event occurred during the person's life. In effect the tattoo could represent a life story (in highlight form).

It has been observed that the traditional Maori tattoo design is done in an intricate and highly planned way, which takes the personality and facial structure of a person into account. Many small swirls form together to create a much larger pattern. In the Maori culture a persons tattoo would often testify their rank, their role and their abilities on the battlefield and in what regard they were actually held by the society. It was a very easy way of seeing in an instant how somebody fitted into their society. The persons rank was indicated by the tattoo located at the center of forehead clear for all to see, the birth status of the individual was tattooed on the jaw. The temple area depicted the martial status, whilst their mum's ancestry was placed on the right hand side of their face and their fathers on the left hand side. When you think about these different meanings it shows just how talented these artists were in producing tattoos that flowed so easily together smaller patterns joining to form the whole whilst taking into account the form and shape of an individuals head and face.

Much like Chinese tattoos which went through a phase of being hugely popular many people have looked towards Maori tattoos for that something different. It would be great if everybody who went down this road would respect the traditions of where the art has come from. A Maori tattoo done correctly is one of the most striking designs you could opt for.

Amy has no problem admitting that she is addicted to tattoos and that she loves pin up girls. She explained why she has so many tattoos.

"I like looking at pretty pictures. I get bored looking in the mirror and seeing the same thing. So I just keep getting more and more."

Even though Amy has had her problems with her health and drugs she also understands that her tattoo of a bare chested pin up might be offensive to some people. So she will temporally put a black bra on her if appearing on TV and asked to.

Tattoo Queen Kat Von D and the Future of Tattooing

Tattoo Queen Kat Von D and the Future of Tattooing

While the acceptance of tattoos in the mainstream has been growing for some time, with about 15 percent of men in America sporting a tattoo, and 13 percent of women, the growing fame and celebrity of Kat Von D has really brought the art to a high level, as she, more than anybody, is definitely the face of tattooing to the masses.

Of course within the inner circles of the subculture there are many great artists which Kat herself respects and considers far more talented.

One in particular she has high regard for is Kore Flatmo, who has been her mentor and major inspiration.

That is true in some respects, but in her specific area she's up there at the top.

But because she's interesting, photogenic, and absolutely loves the art, she's quickly become the greatest marketing tool the genre has ever had.

I think what makes Kat Von D so marketable, isn't simply her dark beauty, which she definitely has, but she's able to appeal to the inner circle of the tattoo world and not be considered a sellout, while at the same time able to reach out to the average person and not be considered weird to the point of not being able to connect to her.

In other words, she's perfect for the job, and her passion for her craft allows her to represent it in a way that is real and not contrived. People always feel the passion of someone who really loves what they do, and that is part of the persona of Von D.

As far as her favorite personal tattoo? It's the star tattoos on the side of her head.

If Kat Von D chooses to, she can go as far as she wants, as doors are opening before her, and she's building out her brand in other areas like makeup, and also released her first book in early 2009 - High Voltage Tattoo.

What's amazing about this to me, is how design can be applied to so many areas, and things you would think are limited, can be taken far beyond what can be imagined.

That's where tattooing is today, and it's just getting started. Kat Von D is one of those helping take it to the next level.
