A movie that is visually beautiful and socially impactful is one best adaptation of Indian mythology. Karnan shed light on the hardship the unprivileged group has to face in society but this time with some commercial touch to it. The film is full of symbols which for shadows the events which happen later in the movie. In this film not just the humans become the character’s but from a snail to the mountains are part of the story make this movie a unique experience.

Minnal Murali

To make a superhero movie that suits Kerala culture is not an easy job. The tight screenplay of this film makes it a good story even if we take out the superhero elements. It has some issues in some technical accepts but all of it is outshined by the intent narrative that keeps us engaged and gives us the story that the director wants us to tell.

Nayattu

I don’t know why I love films but this film is a summary bad and corrupted our system is and the marginal society get always manipulated by the ones who have power. This film will leave us with the bad taste and make us worry and force us to accept reality.

Sarapatta Parambarai

I got tired of seeing sports drama but P.A Ranjith with Sarapatta Parambrai re-invents the genre. We get transformed into the world the movie is created and it is almost like we are watching a real boxing event. This deserves a cinematic universe with prequels and spinoffs. The thumping background score and style and visuals would have been a treat on the big screen.

Joji

Joji is a character study of individuals and what consequences will have if love and respect are not given to people around them. Joji takes a dark route to tell the narrative and is an adaptation of Macbeth it requires that. Joji is routed in its narrative which makes it an international story.

Malik

Fahad Fasil was on fire this hear his performance and Sulaiman in Malik is exceptional. Malik is a heavy film that gives you the compelling story of the life journey of a person and gives the social message that it wants to tell. This would more impactful story if it was on the big screen.

Saradar Udham

Patriotic movies have been an obsession for Bollywood and post them over the top and overflow with hyper-nationalism but this film tells the message of Patriotism in the way it should be told and gives reality on the sufferings of our ancestors to give us the freedom that we have today. The movie the slow passed but once we get into the story it will leave us with sadness.

Sherni

Movies have discussed socially relevant topics racism, corruption, gender inequality, etc but we have never shed light on a topic like environmental conservation and Sherni nailed give us it wanted to give. It shows it is not an easy job to maintain peace between the animals and the people for the forest officials. Kudos to the director for selecting and under-discussed issues not only in our country but around the world

Great Indian Kitchen

This movie was a slap in a face of the patriarchy and the superstitions in our country which prevent us from being a civilized nation. The movie is so real which gives us the harsh reality that women have to face in our households. What I love about the movie is starts by thanking science instead of God.

Cinema Bandi

This movie was a big surprise of 2021 a beautiful heartwarming story with a great message. This movie is also a tribute to every aspiring filmmaker. The characters are so innocent it makes us feel like we want to spend time with them. It is also rare to see a cute movie like this these days.

Maanadu

This is a delicious movie that is the most engaging script screenplay over the recent year. The concept of the time loop is explained well in this movie and it never gets too much into the scientific facts and the story rooted in India. The movie gives insights on social issues as well which makes this a perfect movie.

The superhero genre is something the Indian film industry is trying to crack. There have been solid attempts on this famous genre in cinema but most of them didn’t get the recognition they deserve apart from Krish. For a superhero movie to be hit in India there should be something unique in it that makes not only the fans of the superhero genre but those who don’t like this genre as well. Well, Mollywood’s very own superhero movie Minnal Murali is more than a superhero movie that everyone can enjoy. The character arch of both Villain and Hero is written well in the movie and the story is all about how these two discover their powers and what motivations lead them to become who they are in the movie.

Minnal Murali has got iconic shots and also hilarious characters that help in world-building. The movie has some flaws but it is not fair to point out all of them there will never be a perfect film. Tovino Thomas as the hero is perfect in the role his innocence and his discovering his powers are captured brilliantly by him. It Guru Somasundara as the villain steals show make things tough for the hero. There are laugh-out-loud moments in the movie which blend nicely into the narrative. Minnal Murali takes its time to develop the characters and story. This is also an emotion heavy movie which makes it stand out on its own apart from being a superhero film.

Minnal Murali is a pure attempt to make our own superhero and I think the best way make it happen is to tell the tale that suits the Indian setting. Please don’t compare it with Hollywood movies because with its budget it has the makers have done a good job. Minnal Murali showed us that the superhero genre is more than just visual effects and CGI and also, we Indians no need to depend on Marvel and DC. Hopefully, we can see more movies in this franchise become our own small cinematic universe, and see the next movie in this world on the big screen.

An MCU Christmas Adventure

After one year break Marvel Cinematic Universe is now rocking again in the box office but this year it is not just the movies MCU has given to the fans this year they also took the root of the web series format. The new series line of the MCU allowed it to tell stories in formats that they have not told before because they don’t have to worry about the box office numbers. MCU has given five shows this year which further extended the already extending cinematic universe. Hawk-Eye which is the final show in the series line of the Marvel cinematic universe took the path of a Christmas adventure format.

The show focuses on Clint Barton (Hawk Eye) who has been sidelined in most of his outing in the MCU and the show also introduces Kate Bishop who will be the new Hawk-Eye in the MCU. Hawk-Eye also introduces new characters and sheds light on the underworld which has been existing in the MCU. What I like about the show is the chemistry between Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld who plays Kate Bishop. Another character who had an arch was Echo played by Alaqua Cox, she was a perfect anti-hero in the show which I am looking forward see here again in her own spinoff series Echo. The show nicely linked all the characters and every one of them mattered for taking the story forward.

Another aspect of the show which stood out is the way they showcase the life of non-superpowered like Hawk-Eye who has gone through many physical damages of being a superhero. The action sequences were a treat to watch. Even though the show didn’t fully satisfy me it has some minor issues when the show ended it felt like it left me with a lot of unanswered questions. To conclude Haw Eye was a fun show to watch but it also felt like something is missing.

Good as the predecessors??

Warner Bros is on a spree of making sequels and remakes beloved franchises this year well Tom and Jerry and Space Jam a New Legacy were disappointments, I feared Matrix Resurrections will be a cheese cash grabber capitalizing on the nostalgia of the original Matrix trilogy. It is such a relief that Matrix Resurrections never felt like a cash grabber it has a heart tries movie on itself. What made the original Matrix o great was it was unique there was nothing like that came out at that time. So after almost twenty years, it is not easy for another entry for the franchise to great as its predecessor. This is what Matrix Resurrections failed to achieve. It is not a bad film it has its moments and payoffs to the franchise but wow factor.

Every movie in a franchise doesn’t need to be a standout but it should have something that will stay with viewers and this is what this movie lacks. Coming to other positives this is an entertaining film and it has cool action sequences and what I like about the movies is the callbacks to the previous movies never felt like forced and as mentioned earlier the movies don’t depend too much on the previous editions in the franchise.

Matrix Resurrections does not have a good performance that can be remembered. Keanu Reeves and Carrie -Anne Moss as two leads have their moments to shine but not great as in the other movies. The dialogues felt too fast it was hard to understand what some saying. The movie also lacks a good antagonist and of course, the characters were not flushed out. To conclude Matrix Resurrections is not a bad movie but it fails to be a perfect film but a solid entry to the franchise.

It is tough to film to live up to expectations but Spider-Man No Way Home is a movie that lives up to the hype it was generating ever since the first trailer of the movie showed back in August. There is always a blind thought that superhero movies are cheap tricks and predictable. Well most of the MCU has shown that superhero movies are more than that and the new Spidey movie shows superhero movies are just more than a gimmick. This movie is a perfect blender of emotions and action.

It is not an easy task to blend characters from previous Spider Man movies in the
MCU and it should also be more than just fan service and Now Way Home Showed these characters earned their spot in this film. I never knew I would get the same theatre experience after Endgame during this post-pandemic era but today fans showed that it will take more than a pandemic to stop them from enjoying this film because there are plenty of goosebumps moments in the movie that will make you go crazy.

When it comes to performance Tom Holland Showed that why he is perfect to play Peter Parker, he perfectly captures the emotions of Spider-Man. The stand out for me is William Dafoe as Green Goblin is just amazing his presence will give you chills. This movie flushed out the villain characters and they were more than typical bad guys.

Spider-Man as the movie has been around for more than twenty years and this movie is also a tribute to that character, it shows us what makes spider man so great, why people still love him, and why people are still taking tickets to see this character even during these tough times. Spider-Man Now the way is a must-watch and a love letter to all the Spider-Man fans in this movie particularly stands out on its own even being part of a cinematic universe. So don’t spoil this movie for everyone because being a movie lover comes with great responsibility.

Disserved This Much Hate??|Marakkar Lion Of Arabian Sea Review

I know this late to give an opinion on this movie, to be frank, I really enjoyed the movie those who say this movie is slow and lag I will be with you. Yes, it is not great it could have been much but still this solid historical film movie moves in pace and historical movie demands. The rise and fall of Marakkar are captured well. Marakkar is portrayed as a normal human being he makes mistakes as well which I really liked. Yes, there are some unwanted plot points even without them the story would work.

The movie has cringe dialogue but that is not the reason troll the movie. Battle scenes in the ship and fort were short well. I don’t get the point comparing it with Odiyan and Mamangam is not fair. The criticism of saying the scene is copied from Hollywood movies is not valid this constantly occurring phenomenon and most of the Hollywood movies are inspired from Japanese and another language.

This story could have worked better if it is a two-part movie or a web series. The film has too many interesting characters but they were not fully fleshed out due to running time. The crew tried their level best to make this movie visually stunning. Lot film pages and critics are criticizing this Marakkar as if they were waiting to criticize it. There are some overdramatic moments but I was ok with it. The Iconic scene in the movie is the interval scene. We can say the movie has aged well but I think not all movie needs timeless classic but simple story which is told to people at a particular time. Attacking writers and makers of the is not the right thing to do.

To conclude Marakkar is not a perfect film it has faults definitely deserved more appreciation than it getting today people should learn to appreciate even the small positives of the movie rather than full trashing it.

A Perfect Ending | Money Heist Review

Since the last year of the Pandemic era, the show Money Heist has become a global phenomenon. The first half of the final season is a heartbreaking cliffhanger wondering the audience what would happen next. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of the whole gold part of the series. It was unnecessary and some character death seemed like a cheap trick to get emotionally invested in the show but the first two parts of the fifth season have won me over.

The plus point of Money Heist is that all five seasons were fast-paced which never bore the audience. Coming from Spain the series has a unique style to it. When it comes to the fifth season the story has a nonlinear pattern and the second story in the series felt unnecessary but it paid off in the end. The story is also an extension of this universe; it shows the previous life of the characters and how they ended up in the heist of the Bank of Spain.

Well, this is the season where the side characters also go to Shine Gandia in the first part and. General Seda and his teams deserve a spin-off. When it comes to the old cast there was nothing special, they were good at what they are, the professor is always smart and cunning and Denver’s smile is charming. To watch my least favorite among the characters in Tokyo here performance was a bit cringe for me. The pacing and editing are a plus but sometimes it feels it is too fast and sometimes some plot points are difficult to understand but the conclusion will clear it all.

The final phase is an emotional journey for the characters; it does not have much action like in previous seasons. The series is a perfect conclusion for the story if there is another season it might ruin it. The series ended by making us think about who is good and who is bad which, to conclude, the money heist is the best series of recent times.

Jan E Man Movie Review

Not all movies needed to be magnanimous or groundbreakingneighbors they can also be light-hearted and simple and the new Malayalam movie Jan E Man is exactly that simple a piece of work that everyone can enjoy but also sheds light on humans and emotions. The plot is an interesting one where the story revolves around two neighbours where one is celebrating the birthday of a friend and the other is mourning the death of a family member. How these two events take place and how they get connected is the plot of Jan E Man. This film requires good performance and each and every actor puts forward a great performance on the screen time they are given. Basil Joseph’s comedy timing is excellent and Lal performance was heart touching but it was Balu Varghese who was the standout performer for me

Not a single character seems unnecessary in the movie everyone played the part one way or the other. Another good quality of the movie is its screenplay by Ganapathy because the movie will make us think about what will happen next and if the audience could feel this then the movie has done the job. Jane E Man also discusses topics like depression and complex relationships between friends and family. The story is a roller coaster ride with different emotions like jokes, sadness, and anger.

Theatres have just re-open after lockdown and the reception for a small movie like Jane E man is amazing. A reason for the success of the movie it makes you forget about the worries happening in the world right now. Jan E Man does not follow the usual friendship formula we know most of us do not keep in touch with our classmates unless they are our best there will be classmates you may not like because of their behaviour or other reasons sometimes it is ok to forgive them and accept for them whom they are. To conclude Jan E man is a must watch feel good entertainer that everyone can enjoy without troubling your brain

KANAKAM KAMINI KALAHAM REVIEW

I have always been a supporter of out-of-the-box movies in Malayalam, most of these movies won’t get the credit from the masses the new genre may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The new Nivin Pauly flick Kanakam Kamini Kalaham written and directed by Ratish Ambat is one of those offbeat Malayalam movies that won’t be like buy many. The theme of the absurd comedy is an exaggeration of daily life events. The story takes in the Hotel which has over-the-top versions of real-life people. What like about the movie is that references a lot of stuff like body shaming, political correctness which are the most discussed topic nowadays. Apart from this, there are references to films like The Shining, My Name is Khan, etc.

How much unique this movie is I didn’t quite connect with the movie, there are some laugh-out moments in the movie but they are too over the top for my taste. There are some good performances from Nivin Pauly, Grace Antony, Vinay Fort, Rajesh Madhavan, and Sudesh Kumar. The movie is also a commentary on the human habit of peeking into others’ life. Topics like patriarchy around are also discussed in the movie but it is shown differently. The set in the movie felt like a set but this is what the director intended to show us. Some characters felt irritated while watching the movie again this may be what the director wants us to feel.

To conclude Kanakam Kamini Kalaham is a unique movie that is not everyone’s cup of tea. The movie has moments that made me laugh and shed light on some important topics and there are some hilarious performances that are never seen in Malayalam cinema. The movie fall shot for me for liking it but that doesn’t mean this is a bad movie those who like out of the box stuff can definitely give this one a try.

The movie based on the most known fugitive of Kerala is something that every Keralites will look forward to, the name Sukumara Kurup is talked about at least once in every Malayali household. When Kurup movie was announced with Dulquer playing the longest wanted fugitive the film enthusiast in me got hyped. Like other big movies, Kurup also got delayed, which also resulted in speculation. Sukumara Kurup is some who killed an innocent human for his greed and the teaser of the movie felt like glorifying a criminal which will be an injustice to the family of the murdered. person. However, the speculations ended the family said there is no glorification of the criminal but still approval from the audience was required and it is stratifying that There is no glorification Sukumara Kurup.

Coming into the movie the highlight is the making, Bombay and Kerala from the 1980s is captured brilliantly as if the movie was shot in that era. Credit goes technical team for recreating an entire period. The background score is brilliant, the score during the murder sequence will give you horror. Above all the screenplay is top-notch it feels like the movie drags a bit in the first but it all plays well in the second half. The second half of the movie is fast-paced and keeps us on the edge. Coming to performance Dulquer has an amazing screen presence and he carries most of the movie but the standout performance is from Indrajith who plays the police officer who is committed to finding Kurup and Shine Tom Chacko is evil his laugh and look give you scare. When the movie ended, I felt something was missing which kind of stopped me from liking the movie the way I thought I would the climax may not be satisfying to everyone.

The theater industry is going through a hard time and a movie like Kurup will give a new life to the theaters across Kerala. Kurup is an engaging thriller that is worth investing your time in which is not hero worship of a criminal but a movie that will play a huge role in reviving the Malayalam film industry.

Doctor Movie Review

Doctor starring Siva Karthikeyan is a complete entertainer which also has some flaws. The director Nelson knows how to make an engaging movie from start to end. Well, the movie has its cringe moments especially and the second which prevents it from being from a perfect film. Some sequences are hard to believe which breaks the reality the movie is set in. The protagonist doctor is an interesting character but felt he should have flushed out more and we need a sequel to know more about him. That is another problem I have with the film rest characters were just there and we never connect with all of them.

The villain did not feel dangerous with the hype given to him he was like a typical bad guy. I felt distracted when the movies started with romantic but that was where the movie was heading, the story starts from there. The plot of the movie was a surprise because the movie was titled Doctor, I thought the movie will be about the medical field.

The two and a half-run time shoved justice to the movie director intended to show. The writing was top-notch in some parts there was some unpredictability in the movie except the climax. The action sequences were ok but also cringe. A doctor can also be termed as perfect escapism and also a break from the realistic movies that we get from OTT space nowadays. As mentioned before the Doctor need a sequel because of this rare character for the protagonist in Indian cinema today.

Jai Bhim Movie Review

The new Suriya starer Jai Bhim is another social drama that deals with an important topic. Jai Bhim tries to be this impactful movie that sheds light on an important topic but falls short to be impactful. The big reason for it is that the characters never really flushed out except Lijomol Jose’s character and she was great in the role. Surya’s advocate Chandhu was dimensional; he felt like a hero that came to the rescue. The movie focused on the message and didn’t think of how to execute it. The movie has its moments especially Sengani played by Lijomol Jose says no to the help given to her and that was a powerful scene.

Films like Visarne and Karan talked about this topic in a more impactful way. The running time of the movie could have been cut short. The outcome of the movie is quite predictable but still holds some twists. The screenplay of the movie is a roller coaster with some impactful scenes, some not so impactful. The film is based on true events which makes it interesting, Rajeesha Vijayan was just there, anyone could have played out that role. The scenes beating up the accused will give you a scare but we have seen this many movies but this was necessary to the story.
The movie is a kind of good v/s evil story where there are a few bad guys and good guys, Yes the story demands that but they were all just like half-cooked characters which we forget after the movie ends. Movies like Visarnay and Karan stay with us even after the movie ends but Jai Bhim does not give us that feeling. It’s good that mainstream actors like Surya take a social subject but that doesn’t mean all movies like this should be good.

We know that OTT space is overflowed content and for series to be a global phenomenon is not a small thing. The Korean web series Squid Game has become now become an all-time favorite for all the series most-watched lovers around the world. This Netflix original has become the most-watched show in around 90 countries now. In terms of plot, Squid Game has nothing new to offer, it is a usual dystopian story that hasthat seen many movies and series but it is the execution and performance that makes this series excellent. Squid Game has the perfect formula to make a series watchable, the first thing among the connection with characters, If a story failed to connect characters with the audience it never becomes a great one, well Squid Game well-written characters that we like, hate and cry for them.

Series or Movies never become perfect unless it has a well-written screenplay and squid have not that perfect but engaging script that urges us to watch the next episode, if a series could do that then it have achieved its goal. Without many spoilers like every web series on Netflix, this one has a lot of bloody and gory sequences which make close their eyes while watching the show. Apart from that Squid game is also a commentary on society as well as humanity. Its anticapitalistic approach said what it has to say. It reflects humanity in such a way that it makes us question when it comes to our own survival are ready to betray everyone including our close ones. It also shows the great divide in our society that the privileged will always manipulate the underprivileged it is a constant cycle that cannot be broken.

As mentioned earlier well-written characters make the show great but it also requires great performance by the actors as well in Squid Game all the actors including the secondary characters. Lee Jung-Jae who plays the center character Seong Gi- Hun is perfect in the role his emotions during the situations is impactful during the entire show. The surprise performance was from Anupam Tripathi who plays Anwar Ali an immigrant from Pakistan and the struggles that Ali has to go through are brilliantly performed by Tripathi. The series also have cringe moment when American characters appear in the show. They portrayed are in a very stereotypical way that makes the viewers a bit irritated.

To conclude Squid Game is a rollercoaster ride emotion, it makes us sad, happy, angry, and definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Venom Let There Be Carnage Review

The sequel to Venom, Venom Let There Be Carnage has a lot of mixed reviews some liking it, some hating and some are ok with it. Because of it, I went to the movie with the least expectations. I didn’t like the first movie that much as well but I like this film a lot for what it is. This is a full packed entertainer that keeps the viewers on edge of the seat. Those who don’t like the movie are treating it like thefull-packed worst movie ever made, common there are worst movies than this .Yes, there should have been more Carnage in the movie and Cletus Kasdey should have been more fleshed out. Apart from that, I didn’t see any flaviewer'sw in the movie. I actually enjoyed the final battle between Venom and Carnage. I am not a fan of the opinion that movie being would have made it great if it is R rated film, Maybe R rated version looks better but I am ok with this version of the movie.

Coming to the performance the chemistry between Venom and Edie is the highlight of thethe movie they are so fun to watch and Tom Hardy is a charming guy. Woody Harrelson is the perfect choice for Cletus Kasedy but wished he should have got more screen time. Naiome Harris as Shrie should have fleshed out more and rest of the cast was ok. I think people are overly criticizing the movie and maybe over-expectation was the reason and I expected it less so I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the final action sequence it was engaging as well as emotional. The design of Venom and Carnage was top-notch, the sound design is great in the movie, the voice of carnage will give you goosebumps.

The high light of the movie is the mid-credit scene which will make say wow because it hints at the next big adventure of Venom and Eddie. To sum up I enjoyed Venom's Let There Be Carnage despite the criticism it gets it is an emotionally packed entertainer which does not deserve the the criticism it gets. It may not best comic book movie but it is not the worst one either.

Shang Chi and Legend of The Ten Rings Review

Being a Marvel fan over the years there is nothing but joy watching a Marvel movie in the theater and after Spider-Man Far From Home, it took almost two years to watch another one on the big screen thank pandemic for it. I was not missing the MCU content because their recent web series like Loki and Wand Vision was fun to watch but still experiencing an MCU movie on the big screen is a different feeling. Finally, theaters open in my state, and Shang Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings was among the first release in my state and went into the theater the first day itself on and I was and happy to relive the experience once again.

Coming to the movie Shang Chi has all the MCUism’s but still unique film it on. Shang Chi was an adaption Marvel comic’s first Asian superhero, Shang Chi was inspired by the popularity of Bruce Lee’s movies so this movie nice mixture of martial arts movies and comic book movies. Shang Chi and the legend of the ten rings is a nice blending of comedy, action, and emotions. The core part of the movie is the relation between Shan Chi and his father Wenwu and his sister Xiang. The Visuals of the movie are stunning and the world-building and mixing of culture were interesting to watch and take Marvel Cinematic Universe to new realms. Well, we cant praise without mentioning the action sequences. All the martial arts sequences were well choreographed especially the action scene on the bus.

The performances are the highlight of the movie Simu Liu as Shang Chi and Awkkwafina had good chemistry and Benkingsly was hilarious with his performance but the stand out for me Tony Leung as XU Wenwu. To Leung was perfect in the role we can feel his emotions touching us. Like, mention what makes this a unique experience is that it typical hero vs villain it is the character journey of Shang Chi and he rediscovering himself and letting go of his tragic past, this movie is also about his father and his sister as well. Shang Chi is an interesting addition to the MCU canon and can’t wait to see how MCU will carry this character forward.

Time loop movies are a favorite genre for Hollywood filmmakers and Palm Spring is another gem to this genre. Like previous movies like Groundhog Day, this one also is a rom-com time loop film. The film takes place in marriage function when Sarah played by Cristin Milloti found out and that she is in a time loop she also finds out Niles played Andy Samberg was already in a time loop and he has been doing this for a long time and the events which follow after it is the premise of Palm Springs. The prime focus of the movie is about finding the meaning of life and searching for true love

The movie is ninety minutes long and the running justifies the story. The movie moves in a nice which keeps us engaged, the movie has got hilarious moments in which males laugh out loud. moments. The heart and soul of the are the two main leads Cristin Milloti and Andy Sanberg shares good chemistry which make a route for them. Mel Gibson was also good whenever he appears on the screen. The Green Knight Review

The Green Knight is a slow-burn fantasy movie that has a deep story. I am not a big fan of slow movies which have inner meanings to them, that doesn’t mean I hate these m movies but they are not my first preference, still, there are a few slow movies which I like. The Green Knight has stunning visuals which should be enjoyed on the big screen and maybe this is the reason I didn’t enjoy the movie that much. The Green night is not a bad film but it was for me.

Apart from the visuals the another positive of the movie is Dev Patel’s performance he is convincing in his role. One thing about the movies is that protagonist is not a typical hero person even though he seeks redemption as a hero at the end still not so perfect heroes are rare in these types of movies. The story of The Green Knight is very interesting some ideas shared can be explored more. The movie is also a character study of a person who wants to achieve something and to have the respect of others. This is something all humans to going through just to get accepted by the people and to find meaning in their life.

It is a fact that now the Indian film industry is flooded with remakes, one language is remaking successful movies from another language. The industry which is constantly repeating this is Bollywood, a bunch of south Indian remakes is the line for release in the Hindi language. Due to their constant remakes of South Indian films Bollywood is trolled by the South Indian movie fans because of ruining the billowed films and Malayalam movie lovers are in the front row of trolling Bollywood movies. It is also a fact that this could also be a reverse action when Mollywood remakes Hindi films if didn’t work Hindi movie fans will troll Mollywood for ruining it. When Bhramam's remake of the Bollywood Movie Andhadhun was announced it made me look forward to it due to this reason.

Brhamam can be termed as respectful but an unnecessary remake of the original. What I like about the movie it at least tries to be different with its comedic approach that trying to be dark as the original. Jagadeesh and Prithviraj share some hilarious moments so as Unnimukundan and Anaya which make it an entertaining watch. Another positive aspect of the movie is that it also adapted nicely region vice, a perfect example of it is in opening credits of Andhadhun the hunter is chasing a rabbit in Bhramam hunter is chasing a Boar.

It is hard to imagine anyone else is playing the lead role than Ayushman and Tabu because they were so perfect in that role. Apart from the comedic touch, Brhamam is just copy-paste of the original. It is not just Bhramam Telegu remake Maestro is also getting is also not a great film. Those who didn’t watch the original Bhramam may have a fresh watch but it will be disappointing to the fans of Andhadhun. Remakes are just a cheap way to make a movie, during this current OTT era value of remakes will be less than before.

In recent times trailers are giving too much away of the plot of movies but the trailer for Kuruthi didn't give anything which made watching a refreshing experience. Kuruthi can be termed as thriller plush social commentary. The movie was bold enough to convey the message and this is going to bring lots of hate to the movie.

The movie creates unpredictability while moving forward which is something I like. It reflects on various topics on humanity, religion, and politics. In terms of performance, Prthiviraj and Roshan were equally good.It was Mamukkoya who was a surprise we see the actor's true potential. On the technical side so camera shots were not good but the cinematography was brilliant. What makes this movie even great is that it does the typical hero in a story all the characters are multilayered and of course, the background score was perfect for the mood of the film.

Kuruthy Is going shatter many people's minds this few those film doesn't fear about the outcome but showed the sprit to convey what it wants to tell. Kuruthy may not be the best film ever made but it is powerful.

The Drishyam franchise is a sensation now apart from the story the fact that makes the movie interesting is George Kutty. A common man who goes to any extend for his family. This is a comic which is running since 1984. Mayavi is a fairy or can be termed as something like a genie in Aladin who was found by two kids named Raju and Radha and they became lifelong friends. The story doesn't stop there Mayavi is hunted by Witches named Kuttusan and Dakini along with their apprentice who is another fairy Luttapi.

The entire comic is about their adventures that take place in this world. These characters and huge fanbase and everyone would happy to see a well adapted Mayavi show or a movie. Toofan was disappointed in terms of being a movie about boxers and another boxing film in a week was too much to take but Sarpatta Parambarai is a much better and refreshing experience. What makes the movie unique is that where the plot is set in and it's the unique tone for sports Drama. Scarpetta focuses on the rivalry between two clans Sarpatta Parambarai and Idiyappa Parambrai. The superiority of clans is set through who wins the boxing match. It is about these clans seeking redemption and politics within the members of the clan.

The cracking background score gives us the vibe and takes us to the world of the Sarpatta clan. But the main highlight is of course the boxing matches we feel the pain and rage of the fighters and the emotions of the crowd in the movie. The climax fight sequence was so intense make us confuse who is going to win as if we are watching a real boxing match.

However, the second half follows the usual path of sports movies but that can be overlooked. This is not a story-focused single character but everyone has a moment to shine which makes this a great film. I thought sports films do not have a future but Pa. Ranjith with his unique making style showed us that this genre has still a place in cinema.
