This is a season of remembering and celebrating the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the most important event that happened, dividing history into B.C. (Before the Birth of Christ) and A.D. (After the death of Christ).

God communicates to us in various ways, such as dreams, visions, scriptures, people, news, and circumstances. I usually see visions and dreams when I seek Divine Guidance. Dreams and visions will alert us to the forthcoming events. Even if everything looks all right on the outset, the Holy Spirit raises an alarm from within. People who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s communication will not ignore the alarm signal from within. As we pray upon the alarm, more revelation follows through. This revelation or discernment is given to us for our understanding and is to be shared with others only when we are led by God.

It is so intriguing to read in Matthew 1 how Joseph accepted Jesus as his son when the angel of the Lord spoke to him in a DREAM. Scriptures are given below for your reading and perusal.

Joseph Accepts Jesus As His Son:

Matthew 1: 18-25

¹⁸Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place under these circumstances: When His mother Mary had been promised in marriage to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant [through the power] of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹And her [promised] husband Joseph, being a just and upright man and not willing to expose her publicly and to shame and disgrace her, decided to repudiate and dismiss (divorce) her quietly and secretly.

²⁰But as he was thinking this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary [as] your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of (from, out of) the Holy Spirit.

²¹She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from ^[^a^]failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God].

²²All this took place that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through the prophet,

²³Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel—which, when translated, means, God with us.

²⁴Then Joseph, being aroused from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him: he took [her to his side as] his wife.

²⁵But he had no union with her as her husband until she had borne her firstborn Son; and he called His name Jesus.

This is a very major decision of Joseph to take Mary as his WIFE and the Baby within her as his SON. I do not think anyone else would have done as Joseph did. But Thank God for Joseph. If he had brushed aside the dream and not done as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, do you think God would have gone for plan B? While choosing the parents of the Lord Jesus Christ, God was 100% sure that Mary and Joseph would fully obey to execute His mandate.

The WiseMen Receive Divine Guidance and Warning and Saves Child, Jesus.

Baby Jesus is growing under the protection and care of his parents, Joseph and Mary, and is almost 2 years old now. At this time, the Wise Men of the East saw the rising of the Star of the Lord Jesus. They came to the right region but to the wrong location. Since they saw the star of the king of the Jews, they assumed that the baby was born to the king in Jerusalem. Baby Jesus was not in the palace, but only a king who was afraid that his replacement had come was living in the palace. King Herod was disturbed by the news of the Birth of Christ (King of the Jews) and anxiously asked all the chief priests and scribes regarding the birthplace of Christ. Having found out the birthplace of Christ as Bethlehem, he sent the wisemen to Bethlehem to find out and let him know the exact location of the Child. He spoke very cunningly with the wisemen, but God, having known the intention of King Herod, redirected the wisemen from informing King Herod.

The Bible says in Matthew 2

1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men [astrologers] from the east came to Jerusalem, asking,

²Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east at its rising and have come to worship Him

³When Herod the king heard this, he was disturbed and troubled, and the whole of Jerusalem with him.

⁴So he called together all the chief priests and learned men (scribes) of the people and ^[^b^]anxiously asked them where the Christ was to be born.

⁵They replied to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:

⁶And you Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, you are not in any way least or insignificant among the ^[^c^]chief cities of Judah; for from you shall come a Ruler (^[^d^]Leader) Who will govern and ^[^e^]shepherd My people Israel.

⁷Then Herod sent for the wise men [astrologers] secretly, and ^[^f^]accurately to the last point ascertained from them the time of the appearing of the star [that is, ^[^g^]how long the star had made itself visible since its rising in the east].

⁸Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, Go and search for the Child carefully and diligently, and when you have found ^[^h^]Him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship Him.

⁹When they had listened to the king, they went their way, and behold, the star which had been seen in the east ^[ⁱ^]in its rising went before them until it came and stood over the place where the young Child was.

¹⁰When they saw the star, they were thrilled with ecstatic joy.

¹¹And on going into the house, they saw the Child with Mary His mother, and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasure bags, they presented to Him gifts—gold and frankincense, and myrrh.

¹²And ^[^j^]receiving an answer to their asking, they were divinely instructed and warned in a dream not to go back to Herod; so they departed to their own country by a different way.”

After worshipping the Child Jesus, the wisemen sought further instruction and were divinely instructed and warned in a dream not to return to Herod. The Magi were not Christians but believed in the Creator, the DIVINE One, and they followed the instruction.

Joseph Receives Instruction Via a Dream to Escape to Egypt

Matthew 2:

The Escape to Egypt

13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”[c]

16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. 17 Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:

“A voice is heard in Ramah,
    weeping and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children
    and refusing to be comforted,
    because they are no more.”[d]

Joseph Receives Instruction Via a Dream to Return Back to Israel

The Return to Nazareth

19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt 20 and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead.”

21 So he got up, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, 23 and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.

We discuss much less about Joseph, the father of Jesus. His part in executing the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, protecting the baby and mother and providing for them in Egypt and in Nazareth is very significant. He was a just and righteous man who was divinely led in fulfilling his destiny given to him by His Creator.

How About You and Me?

How many of us Christians in the current days inquire the Lord and follow divine instructions received in a dream or vision or any divine revelation? How many of us give heed to the communication of the creator or the voice of God, the Holy Spirit, and follow it? We hear the voices of men, prophets, friends, pastors, or voices on social media and make decisions, right?

Through this meditation on the scriptures, it is understood that we need to be divinely led to navigate through life’s journey to fulfill our destiny on the face of the earth.

Spiritual Warfare Prayer - Chanting of Victory in the Blood of Jesus with Bible Verses

I recorded this audio about 10 years back. I had this audio on my mobile phone and had my iPod on, chanting this prayer on the go, such as while traveling, exercising, or walking in the park. Those times in 2012 - 2015, most of the people came for deliverance. I had to be ready always, fully equipped and ready for warfare. I used this method while doing other activities. I was reminded of this audio and thankfully had this in the backup. I have now converted this into video format and uploaded it on YouTube. I experienced a lot of breakthroughs personally and for others, while ministering while meditating on the Victory In The Blood of Jesus. I surely believe as you use this tool and meditate and keep your focus on the Blood of Jesus, You will also experience mighty miracles, signs, and wonders and be a testimony for the Glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Spiritual Warfare Prayer - Plead the Blood of Jesus Over Your Lives.

Prayer of Pleading the Blood of Jesus.

Rev. 12:11: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony.

Father, We come before the throne of Grace In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:19

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since We have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,

Father God, We enter the Most Holy Place by the Blood of Jesus.

We believe that we are the beloved child of God. We believe in the blessed Holy Spirit who is dwelling in the inside of us. We believe that life and death are in our tongues. We believe that as we make this confession unto life with the power in our tongue, according to the Words which the Lord has this day put in our mouth, we shall prosper.

Hebrews 9:14 How much more then will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that We may serve the living God!

Christ offered His unblemished blood as a sacrifice to God which can thoroughly cleanse our conscience from acts that lead to death.

Acts 20: 28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.

God you have bought us by the Blood of Jesus. We are not our own, and all that belongs to us is yours. Thank you for your blood over us and over our houses, lands, business, and all our territory.

Colossians 1: 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Lord, we claim the shed-blood of Jesus over us to bring about peace and prosperity and reconcile all things and heaven and earth to us.

Ephesians 1:7 In him We have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

We plead the blood of Jesus over us for we have redemption through His Blood, there is forgiveness of sins in His Blood, we plead the blood of Jesus for the riches of God’s Grace over our lives. Through the blood of Jesus, we have been redeemed out of the hands of the devil.

Hebrews 9:22, 28. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Lord, please cleanse our body, mind, and soul with the shed blood of Jesus. We plead for forgiveness of sins of omission, commission, and of generational inheritance. Father, we wash our robes white with the Blood of the Lamb.

I John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Lord, give us the power to walk in the light as you are in the light so that we can fellowship with you and us. We walk in the light and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins. Thank you for purifying us from all sin by the blood of Jesus and through the blood of Jesus we have access to the Holy of Holies.

Leviticus 17: 11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

Hebrews 13:12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.

We plead the Blood of Jesus, that was shed as the atonement for our lives and it is making us holy and acceptable to the Father.

Luke 22: 20

In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Matthew 26: 28

This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Through the blood of Jesus, I have the life of God in me.

We plead the blood of Jesus to every stubborn problem in our lives.

We plead the blood of Jesus upon our body - from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.

We plead the blood of Jesus as a shield against any attack of the enemy.

Let every breach or any door that I have created or opened to the enemy be closed forever by the blood of Jesus.

We plead the blood of Jesus over all of our territories, our houses, our businesses, our offices, and our properties. I sprinkle the blood of Jesus over all our possessions. We speak victory and prosperity by the Blood of Jesus.

No sickness shall come nigh my dwelling nor any calamity near my territory.

Let the blood of Jesus dry up every cancer, arthritis, diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease, and any other disease. No sickness nor any disease will have dominion over me. I declare that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus and delivered free by the Blood of the Lamb that was slain.

We plead the blood of Jesus over our mental health. Every form of mental disturbance, distraction, inability to focus, anxiety, depression, and panic attack be removed by the blood of Jesus. We speak peace to our minds and be covered by the blood of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over our emotions, healing our minds, and establishing peace and security in our hearts.

Every chain is falling off, chains of anxiety, chains of depression, chains of every mental stronghold is falling off of us by the blood of Jesus.

Let the blood of Jesus bring down to ash any evil work against our lives. Every demonic stronghold is coming down by the blood of Jesus. We render all the works of the enemy powerless and be canceled by the blood of Jesus. We speak the Blood of Jesus over the spirit of stagnation in any area of our lives. We speak the blood of Jesus against any demonic delay of our miracles. We plead the blood of Jesus against failure at the edge of success.

We plead the blood of Jesus against the lack of helpers, against fruitless efforts, against occupying wrong positions, against every delayed and denied promotion, against satanic prophecies, every lie and deceit, and every strange anointing.

We plead the blood of Jesus over our finances. Every spirit of poverty be canceled by the blood of Jesus.
We plead the blood of Jesus over our bank accounts. We speak against every unwanted spends or loss of money in any form. I declare that money will stay in my hand and it will not slip through my fingers.

We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of our lives, over our bodies, our minds, our emotions, our spirits, our destinies, our callings, our finances, businesses, over our properties, our homes, our territories, our families, our future and over everything pertaining to us.

Thank you Father for the blood of Jesus that guarantees us victory, healing, protection, and freedom. In Jesus Name, Amen!!

Following Christ - In the Baptism of Water

Following Christ as Lord – In the Baptism of Water Matthew 28:19-20

19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

John 3:3-7, “Jesus answered and said to him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' Nicodemus said to Him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?' Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'" It is that God had promised in the Old Testament a time was coming in which He would: “sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” (Ezekiel 36:25-27).

Acts 2:38–41 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. Repent and be baptized This does not imply that people can be saved without having faith in Christ as Savior, because the need to believe is implied both in the command to “repent” and also in the command to “be baptized . . . in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” The willingness to submit to baptism is an outward expression of inward faith in Christ ( 1 Pet. 3:21). Genuine faith always involves repentance, and vice versa. Repentance includes a change of mind that ends up trusting God (i.e., having faith).

Ephesians 4:4–6 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. One Lord refers to Jesus Christ. One faith refers to the doctrinal truths Christians commonly confess. “One Spirit” (Eph.4:4), “one Lord [Christ]” (Eph.4:5), and “one God and Father” (Eph.4:6) constitute a Trinitarian formula. one baptism. Christians have disagreed about the proper mode of baptism beginning in the early history of the church. “One baptism” here, however, may refer to the baptism of all believers into one body (as described in 1 Cor. 12:13), which is the result of the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit when one becomes a genuine believer in Christ. If this view is correct, water baptism would be an outward sign of the inward reality of the believer being in Christ as the result of the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit (John 3:5, 8; Titus 3:5). There is therefore a profound spiritual unity of all genuine believers who are “in Christ” (see John 17:21, 23), founded on “one faith” in “one Lord,” irrespective of denominational differences. Others hold that the reference here is to water baptism, but would disagree concerning the proper mode.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. In addition to sonship (Gal. 3:26), Paul adds two more pictures of what is involved in this new age. Being baptized, believers have gone down into death, dying to the old era of law, sin, and death (Rom. 6:3–4; Gal. 2:19; Gal. 6:14) and have come up out of the water as participants in the new creation (2 Cor. 5:17). put on Christ. The language of “putting on,” as used of clothing, suggests taking on a new life and purpose through being spiritually united to Christ.

Romans 6:1–4 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Paul is likely responding to a question posed regularly by his Jewish opponents. They did not raise this question so that they would have an excuse to sin, though in every age some have wrongly interpreted and applied Paul’s gospel of grace to rationalize sin. Instead, Paul’s opponents argued that his gospel must be mistaken since, in their view, it led people to continue in sin. Paul will now show why their interpretation of his gospel is mistaken. Paul’s gospel does not lead to more sin, since those who belong to Christ have died to sin (as explained in the following verses). Christians died to sin when they were baptized into Christ. Paul is not arguing that baptism magically destroys the power of sin. Baptism is an outward, physical symbol of the inward, spiritual conversion of Christians. In the early church, baptism was probably by immersion, at least as a general rule, though Christians dispute whether such a practice must always be followed literally today. Therefore, baptism pictures a person being buried with Christ (submersion under water) and being raised to new life with Christ (emergence from water). This symbolizes the person’s union with, and incorporation into, Christ by the action of the Holy Spirit. Hence, they now have the power to live in newness of life.

Colossians 2:9–13 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses . . . In him also you were circumcised. Paul here uses circumcision metaphorically for a spiritual (made without hands) action, which he describes as putting off the body of the flesh. Believers no longer live in the sphere of the flesh and its influence (Gal. 5:24) but have been transferred to the kingdom of Christ and live through and in him, under His lordship (Col. 1:13). In this “circumcision” performed by Christ, Christians have been removed from their solidarity with Adam and his sin (see Rom. 6:6) and are now in solidarity with Christ and his righteousness and can live for him, as they before could not. Buried with Him (Christ) in baptism . . . also raised with Him (Christ) . . . made alive together with Him. In a second metaphor drawn from Christ’s work on the cross, Paul says that the Christian rite of baptism represents an identification with Christ in his death (Rom. 6:4–6) along with an identification with Christ in his resurrection (Eph. 2:6). Dying and rising with Christ signifies death to the power of sin and Satan plus empowerment to live the new life that Jesus calls believers to live in imitation of him. Acts 1:4–5 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” The promise of the Father refers to the gift that was promised by the Father, namely, the new and greater empowering of the Holy Spirit that the disciples were to await in Jerusalem (see Luke 3:15–17; 24:49). Baptized with the Holy Spirit looks forward to Pentecost (see ch. 2). John had contrasted his “repentance” baptism with Jesus’ “Holy Spirit” baptism (Mark 1:8). Throughout Acts, baptism and the gift of the Spirit are closely related. Repentance, forgiveness, water baptism, and reception of the Spirit comprise the basic pattern of conversion.

1 Corinthians 12:12–13 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. Since the Spirit is one, he unites peoples across lines of ethnicity and social class that would otherwise divide them. (See Rom. 10:12; Gal. 3:27–28; Col. 3:11.) in one Spirit we were all baptized. The same Greek construction (the verb baptizō plus en [“in”] plus the dative of pneuma, “Spirit”) is used here as in the other six “baptism in the Holy Spirit” passages in the NT (Matt. 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; John 1:33; Acts 1:5; 11:16), and here it seems clearly to refer to the cleansing and empowering work that the Holy Spirit does in a new convert at the point of conversion. Baptism is used metaphorically here to refer to the Spirit’s work within the believer to unite him or her to the body of Christ, which is also the corporate body of believers. Water baptism is an outward symbol of this reality ( Rom. 6:4; Gal. 3:27). made to drink. Probably not a reference to the cup of the Lord’s Supper but to the outpouring of God’s Spirit on his people ( John 7:37–39; Rom. 5:5).

1 Peter 3:18–22 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

A key statement on the substitutionary atonement of Christ. He suffered and died as the righteous one in place of the unrighteous, in order to bring us to God. One interpretation of being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit is that “in the flesh” means in the visible, physical realm in which Jesus was crucified and “in the spirit” (1 Pet. 4:6) means in the invisible, spiritual realm where Christ now lives. Another view is that Jesus died physically but was raised from the dead by the Holy Spirit.

A comparison is drawn between salvation in the ark and baptism. In both instances, believers are saved through the waters of judgment, since baptism portrays salvation through judgment. The mere mechanical act of baptism does not save, for Peter explicitly says, “not as a removal of dirt from the body,” meaning that the passing of water over the body does not cleanse anyone. Baptism saves you because it represents inward faith, as evidenced by one’s appeal to God for the forgiveness of one’s sins (for a good conscience). Furthermore, baptism “saves” only insofar as it is grounded in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is a visual representation of the fact that Christians are clothed with Christ ( Gal. 3:27), and in union with Christ they share his victory over sin. Though Christians have disagreed about the proper mode of water baptism beginning in the early history of the church, Christians have generally agreed (irrespective of denominational differences) that water baptism is an outward sign of the inward reality of regeneration, which is the result of the work of the Holy Spirit ( John 3:5, 8; Titus 3:5), and which may be received only by grace through faith (see Eph. 2:8). The central truth of 1 Pet. 3:18–22 is that Christ has triumphed over his enemies. He is now ascended to the right hand of God, and all angels and demonic powers are subjected to him since he is Lord and Christ. Christians can therefore rejoice in their sufferings, knowing that Christ has triumphed.

Matthew 28:19–20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” The imperative (make disciples, that is, call individuals to commit to Jesus as Master and Lord) explains the central focus of the Great Commission, while the Greek participles (translated go, baptizing, and “teaching” [Matt. 8:20]) describe aspects of the process. all nations. Jesus’ ministry in Israel was to be the beginning point of what would later be a proclamation of the gospel to all the peoples of the earth, including not only Jews but also Gentiles. The name (singular, not plural) of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an early indication of the Trinitarian Godhead and an overt proclamation of Jesus’ deity. Teaching is a means by which disciples of Jesus are continually transformed in order to become more like Christ (10:24–25; Rom. 8:29; 2 Cor. 3:18). observe. Obey. I am with you always. Jesus concludes the commission, and Matthew his Gospel, with the crucial element of discipleship: the presence of the Master, who is “God with us” (Matt. 1:23).

Acts 22:16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on His name. Be baptized and wash away your sins does not imply that the physical act of baptism itself cleanses people spiritually from sin, for Ananias gives Paul two distinct commands. Thus baptism should be viewed as an outward symbol of the cleansing from sin that occurs when someone trusts in Jesus (1 Pet. 3:21). Belief leads to cleansing, but baptism pictures this. Because baptism pictures the reality, the two (belief and baptism) are often discussed as if they belong to the same act. As Heb. 10:19–22 shows, the believer’s sins are “washed away” through faith in “the blood of Jesus,” with the result that the believer is “sprinkled clean” and “washed with pure water.”

Why Jesus the only God? Why not other Gods? - Part 1

Today, I just happened to see this video on YouTube in which a young man (who looks like a South Indian) with a Hindu background in the United States asking a Christian Preacher the following questions,

Q1-"Why is it that the person who calls himself Christian murders and says sorry to Jesus and is being accepted and will go to heaven, and then a person who did all good moral things but did not accept Jesus will go to hell ?" Is it fair? Does the good person following morals and values don’t deserve to go to heaven?

and

Q2- "Why is it that YOUR GOD is true and our god is false, why is it (Christian) GOD and not some other gods?"

I perceive this young person as intellectual and innocent, who wants to understand the truth behind what he hears from preachers and his Christian friends. He notices the lifestyle of his Christian friends and acquaintances, which does not match their morals and values, and he follows as being taught by his non-Christian family background good morals and values, yet they claim that Christian God is alone is GOD and only those who believe in Christ will go to heaven and others even if they are good will go to hell.

Like this young person here, some of you, perhaps many of you, have this kind of question: Why is this exclusivity being preached in Christianity? Why do they claim that Christianity alone leads to heaven or Moksha?

I began to ponder on these questions of this Young Person. Several questions ran across my mind and the answers for them as well. First, let me try to deal with the second question and then I will dwell on the first question. This explanation will be in 2 parts of writing – part 1 and part 2. Part 1 will deal with the second question and part 2 will deal with the first question.

Who created Religion?

First of all, God never created religion. Religion is man-made. Christ did not come to establish a religion called Christianity. It is documented in the Bible (Acts 11:26) that the disciples of Jesus Christ were called "Christians" for the very first time in history at a place called Antioch (presently located in Turkey) by the locals of that region. The term " Christian" was coined by the non-Christian Gentiles of Antioch in the Roman Empire. This nomenclature (naming) happened many years after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The term "Christianity" was first recorded as used by Ignatius of Antioch around 100 AD.

Similarly, there was no such name called Hinduism in ancient days. The term "Hindu" originated around 515 BCE when the Persian king Darius the Great annexed the Indus Valley to his empire. The word "Hindu" comes from the word Sindhu, which means "river." The Persians mispronounced the word and called the land around the Indus River "Hindu".

The earliest record that refers to "Hindoo" or "Hindu" as a religion may be the 7th-century CE Chinese text Record of the Western Regions by Xuanzang.

In the 16th century, the Persian-speaking Mughals conquered northern India and called the country Hindustan and its people Hindu.

In the 17th century, the British began to use the term Hindu to describe the people living in the subcontinent.

The term "Hinduism" came into common use in the 19th century.

From the above historical facts it is understood that religion is man-made.

One God? Why not many Gods? And What is His Intention?

Father, Son or the Word and the Holy Spirit are One God. Triune God. God created man in His image and likeness. Like the Soul, Body, and Spirit of a person. All three comprise a man.

Other than this Sovereign, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, creator of the universe there is no other God.

Jesus says in Mark 12: 29-21

²⁹Jesus answered The first and principal one of all commands is: Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord;

³⁰And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment.

Also, polytheism, or worship of more than one God or many Gods is man-made. There is only one God who is the creator of Heaven and Earth.

God did not intend to establish a religion. But what God did intend to establish was HIS KINGDOM, to mend mankind's broken relationship with their Creator and establish a Covenant Relationship with Mankind by saving them.

Jesus, when He was living in the region of Israel, preached “Repent for the Kingdom of God is near.” (Matthew 3:2) The word "repent" is mentioned as metanoeite in Greek, which means "to change one's heart and mind." More literally, it means to change direction, to stop going the wrong way, and to start going in the right way. This was done during the times when the religious activities of the Pharisees and Sadducees were at their peak, and they were oppressing the common people with their twisted interpretations of the laws of Moses and the Torah. Jesus Christ was telling everyone, “ Change your mind, you all are going in the wrong direction. See, the Kingdom of God has come very near to you. Leave this kingdom of darkness and religion mindset, and come into the Kingdom of God.” When Jesus was asked by the audience “Where is the Kingdom of God as we don’t see it? He said the Kingdom of God is not in plain sight, it is inside you. When you allow God to reign over you by accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ, you come into the Kingdom of God. This is mentioned in Colossians 1: 13-15

¹³[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

¹⁴In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.

¹⁵[Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation.

Religion, laws, sin, and the results of sin enslave a person and make a person far from God, while Christ came to liberate and bring people into a relationship with God.

Why Should I Accept a Foreign God? God of the Jews or Christians?

The only Almighty God, the Creator of all, chose a sample of an entire population of the past, present, and future world – the descendants of Abraham with a Covenant, his son Isaac, and his son, Jacob, and the 12 tribes of Israel to demonstrate His covenant relationship with humankind and also to fulfill the salvation plan of the entire mankind. That is the reason God chose Israel. But that does not mean that salvation pertains only to Israelites. Since Jesus was born in Israel, he is not a Jewish God. He does not belong exclusively to Christians or the God of Christianity. He is the God of the entire universe, galaxies, and undiscovered parts of the creations of all ages.

Colossians 1: 16 and 17

¹⁶For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him.

¹⁷And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).

Why Preach Jesus Christ?

Through the Bible Scriptures, it is revealed the Salvation of Mankind through Jesus Christ; there are two kingdoms, the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Darkness. The mandate is given to the disciples of Jesus Christ to preach what Jesus Christ taught and make disciples of all the nations.

Matthew 28: 18-20

¹⁸Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

¹⁹Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

²⁰Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

This is the reason, many followers of Christ preach about Jesus Christ and accept Him as the Lord and Savior of their lives.

The truth is that those who accept Jesus Christ will receive eternal life.

John 3:14-17

¹⁴And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],

¹⁵In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!

¹⁶For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

¹⁷For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him

John 3:36

³⁶And he who believes in (has faith in, clings to, relies on) the Son has (now possesses) eternal life. But whoever disobeys (is unbelieving toward, refuses to trust in, disregards, is not subject to) the Son will never see (experience) life, but [instead] the wrath of God abides on him. [God’s displeasure remains on him; His indignation hangs over him continually.

What is Eternal Life?

Eternal life is the everlasting life. Jesus Christ defines eternal life in the following verse-

John 17:3

³And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.

Eternal life is being given to those who accept the Lord Jesus Christ while living on this earth. It is not something that is given only after the death of a Christ-believing, Christ-trusting, and Christ-relying person. Life continues into another dimension.

What is Salvation through Christ?

Romans 10 says

⁸But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach,

⁹Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

¹⁰For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

¹¹The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.

What is Heaven?

Many religions say that Heaven is a realm of the afterlife that is rewarded to those who did good in their previous life. In some religions such as Hinduism, if the deeds of people are good, they will break their rebirth cycle and enter into Moksha. There will be no rebirth for that soul.

Is it right to preach Jesus as a Ticket to Heaven?

Many religion speaks about life after death. It is by far believed by all religions that Heaven is a place given to good people and hell to bad people. Those in the Christian world also preach about heaven and that those who accept Jesus will go to heaven.

The Bible says that those who are saved by believing, trusting, and relying on the Lord Jesus Christ, their soul is saved and receive eternal life and they are already seated in the heavenly places with Christ. The realm which is unseen now and will become more real in the afterlife.

Ephesians 2: 6

⁶And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Yes, Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to receive eternal life, be with the Father God, be co-heirs with Christ, and have access to all earthly and heavenly blessings.

Promise 2017 - Good times in proportionate to the bad times

Dear Friends, I would like to share the promise of God for this Year 2017:

God is going to make us experience good times in proportionate to the bad times we have experienced in the past.

The Promise is based on Psalm 90:15

Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Psalm 91 is written by the God's Chosen Prophetic Leader Moses. He offers as a prayer to the Lord. But God wanted to reveal His heart that He wanted to make us glad in accordance to the years of affliction, evil, and troubles.

How this can happen?

Key to the Promise: God's Mercy Psalm 90:14

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days

Lamentations 3: 22- 24 says

22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

God is going to send Mercy Rain from His presence and drench and satisfy us with HIS MERCY. So we are going to seek the Lord every morning early and plead for His Mercy Rain to fully drench and satisfy us for this Promise 2017 to be fully fulfilled in our lives.

Understanding the Body of Christ - Part 2

This is a continuation of my previous post Understanding of the Body of Christ. I strongly recommend you to read the first part to get better understanding.

Body of Christ built on the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets:
Ephesians 2: 20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the Chief Cornerstone.

Just like a building is built on a strong foundation, God builds His Ekklesia - the Assembly of His Called out ones - on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets.

Apostolic Function:
The Apostles receive the superior authority to govern the Body of Christ. They are special messengers of God. They are the "sent" ones. God would send them from one place to another. They also govern and oversee from one place different churches in the Body of Christ. Invariably, God would assign at least one Apostle to one church. No church that is found in Christ would be without an apostle connected to it. In the first century A.D., churches were governed by the Apostles, and they had local overseers who would report to the group of Apostles who would be spiritually governing them. Now, the local pastors have full autonomous administration. They also miss out on the Apostolic and Prophetic functions.

The making of an Apostle is not an easy thing. Apostles are hand-picked by God. They are chosen. They are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. They follow Him wherever He leads. They are with Him in life and death. They bear the marks of the crucified savior on their bodies. They may not be highly impressive by their backgrounds or looks. Peter was a fisherman by his background, and Paul was not impressive by looks. In fact, Paul was timid and not a very good speaker. He was not accepted by the Corinthians, though He went to them with a powerful demonstration of the Power of God, not just with wise, enticing, impressive words.

Paul’s Defense of His Ministry in 2 Corinthians 10 says

1By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am “timid” when face to face with you, but “bold” toward you when away!
2I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world.
3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 NIV

Marks of an Apostle:

The signs, wonders and miracles will be the mark of the Apostle. An Apostle of God can be a woman, even a young-looking person; the calling of God upon a person does not change. He sees the End from the Beginning. God trains them in such a way, they will do nothing without hearing from Him and they are disciplined in many ways in order to attain that authority. They are also matured through the sufferings in Christ. They also participate in the sufferings of Christ. Their sufferings cannot be despised, and they cannot be looked down on because they are suffering for the Body of Christ.

Paul says in Colossians 1:24-29 NIV
“Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of His body, which is the church. I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”

The enemy will shift your thinking against them and use you to sift them as a tool in the hand of Satan. God forbid that you do not yield yourself to that situation because there is sure punishment for those who follow satan and all his evil devices.

God will back up His authority, His chosen ones, whom He has placed over the Body of Christ in the spiritual realm. Paul says Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil.—Most probably, the same Alexander, mentioned in the First Epistle (1 Timothy 1:20), “as delivered to Satan”. It has been suggested that this Alexander, an influential Ephesian Jew, had done much injury to the cause of the Christians generally, and to St. Paul personally, with the imperial authorities at Rome. Paul surrendered this man to the Lord's Judgement; He says the Lord shall reward him according to his works.

Spiritual Authority and Demonstration of Gods Power: 2 Corinthians 13:10 NIV
“This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority—the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.”
God gives them Divine Authority for building up of the Body of Christ.

Paul governed the Corinthian Church and many other churches from remote. God would show Paul the spiritual condition of the church and would make him write letters to them. The church there would read them and follow His instructions.

Traveling Function:
Like a pastor or a teacher of the church, an Apostolic function is not tied to a place. He/She would go wherever and whenever the Lord sends him or her. Apostle means "Sent." God would send them to different places to execute His Divine Assignments. The key to this is that they can hear from God directly. They would get instructions from God and they would execute them.

Jesus told His disciples who were well-trained under His direct leadership to travel to different nations and make them disciples like themselves. This commission is not given to newly born babies. A newly born Christian can lead another to a church congregation to hear from a mature Spiritual Pastor but he cannot himself teach another in an enthusiasm to bring people to Christ. This action actually frustrates the recipient/hearer and they would not come to Christ. As the new-born Christian grows in Christ, the Christ in him will lead automatically others to Christ.

Matthew 28:18-20 NIV
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””

Full of the Spirit:
Apostles are full of the Holy Spirit. They move by the Spirit and with the Spirit.

Acts 13:1-2, 4 NIV
“Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.”

Acts 13: 9 NIV
Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said,

Apostles Can Marry:
Among the apostles of the Bible, Peter was married, and Paul did not choose to marry. So it is not required that an Apostle must remain unmarried to carry out his or her spiritual calling and function. Nobody can enforce this on anyone. God is the one who ordained marriage, and the Bible says it is Holy. In the perfect Will of God, the relationship between the Bride and the Groom is Holy in the sight of God.

Apostolic Function - Not Gender Based:
John 20:16-18 NIV
“Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ” Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.”

Mary Magdalene was a disciple of Jesus, and she was the first to see the Risen Christ. She received a direct message from the Lord Jesus to deliver to His other disciples. She was an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, though much of her ministry is not recorded, perhaps because of a male-dominated society. There is no male or female, but all are one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:26-28 NIV
“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Hi Shanta, I have been wondering how you are doing . How are you?
I am ok my battle rages on with new thoughts like have I blasphemed the holy spirit by turning my back on God or ignoring the holy spirits warnings? Has my past stubbornness finally quenched the holy spirit? I had read in Hebrews if we continued in sin no sacrifice remainder for us.

I ask because I know I can ask you anything. Also my friend prayed with me and said God showed him how much I want a relationship with him. Is that Good? Then I thought it just showed only how much I want the relationship but then thought ..oh no do I not have this relationship with God?

Seriously Shanta if there were really not consequences that had torn up my life I would not be thinking like this.

Greetings to you in Jesus Mighty Name. I am good by God's grace just with a little fever and severe chest cold starting Friday Evening (I always drink the lemon/cucumber/mind/ginger infusion drink for fat burning - but this time i added more lemons based on one's instruction and caught sever cold. LOL)

I read your mail last night, Indian time. I did not answer because I was not getting any thoughts from God regarding your mail. Usually, I get instant flow of thoughts, but in your case I was not able to grasp what I should be saying to you. It is not that some kind of encouraging words should flow out. It should be precise for your life.

It looks like you are dwelling on your failures. I do not see you taking steps really to overcome your failures. Are you?

Christian life is a progressive life. If you are not progressing, you are actually backsliding.......there is no place for self-complacency......the standard keeps rising, just like in pole-vault game or high jump, how high you can keep on going....

You are saying that you did not hear the warnings of Holy Spirit and went ahead and crushed the Spirit of Grace under foot and insulted Him...the consequences is tangible and you are suffering in reality in spirit and body.....that may be true....but the hope is you are not dead and gone...you are still alive....you can take some efforts to in your thoughts and mind and lifestyle changes, to receive the grace still present for those who truly repent of their sins and want to get back to God....

For example, if anyone has fallen into a sin and lost the presence of God in their life, one need to realize how precious the Presence of God is and how much it means to them.....and one has to show one's desperation to God and compel God for His compassion and mercy......God is compassionate and long-suffering and is merciful....He will look down upon the person and restore the joy of salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within that person...

The anointed servant of God and the King of Israel, David committed adultery, a conspired brutal murder, and covered up his hideous crime under a illusion of nobility and authority....but he did not escape the Righteous El Roi - The God who sees me...He sees both the good and bad...not as people see, but sees the motives and intentions of the hearts....He faced judgement in the hand of God, his baby born out of sinful act died, but he accepted the judgment of God, for he knew GOD HAS THE RIGHT AND POWER TO JUDGE and HE IS THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE AND HE HAS TO ESTABLISH JUSTICE IN ALL THE EARTH even in the life of His chosen anointed ones......

Then follow David.....take steps to follow God with all your heart with all your soul....now how David's heart has changed so much after the judgment...when he was old and cold and even his blankets did not keep him warm in the nights, they married him a young damsel to keep him warm...

I kings 1:1
Now King David was old, advanced in age; and they covered him with clothes, but he could not keep warm. So his servants said to him, "Let them seek a young virgin for my lord the king, and let her attend the king and become his nurse; and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may keep warm."
So they sought for a lovely young woman throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king. 4 The young woman was very lovely; and she cared for the king, and served him; but the king did not know her.

See the change in David...that was the drastic change....totally transformed....

What I am saying move on...to take steps to get back in relationship with Jesus, show Him how important for you the relationship with Him matters, if you take one step to get to Him ...He takes 9 steps towards you...that is our God......

When we love somebody, we tend to please that person. We tend to give importance to the things that are important to that person. It is the same with God....What does He like? What does He hate? Everything is in the Bible.

Proverbs 6 says
These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

Ask the Lord to help you love the things He loves and hate and remove what He hates. Until you take step in remove the things He hates , out of His love He will take action to forcefully remove the things He hates in you because He loves you.

Do not assess your worth based on anybody's approval or otherwise.....Try always win for HIS approval in your life...that will bring in content and satisfaction and meaning to your life......

I hope you will be feeling better quickly and I will be praying for you!

I hope it is not bad that is so unforgivable to God that I am having these thoughts and problems feeling joy and him in my life?

Well yes I was explaining the time when I backslid and ignored Gods warnings. Sad and embarrassing. Yes it is hard to not keep going over the things of the past that have had really bad consequences that is a reminder each and every day.

I don't have any desire to sin or anything now I hate sin. I am not repeating my old sins and as I may still sin as we all do I am aware of and really care if i am sinning.

I do love Psalm 51 too. Thank you. I printed out the other emails you gave me and read them. They said if we still have air in our nostrils it is not too late and God loves the repentant sinner like the man whos father ran to him. I want these to atill be true for me today and hope I am not causing harm. I will try to change the thought patterns.

I am sorry for hurting God and I am taking steps to move towards him. I haven't gone back to old ways I just want to have peace knowing everything is ok with God and I and hope he understands what I am going through.

We keep the praise music on all the time and going to church and because I am trying to get close to God.

I was only hoping I had not messed up my chances through my thinking patterns during this valley I am going through. I have been a huge disappointment to God and myself. I so do not know how he sees me. I never felt such sorrow, loss, and pain in my life. I cried the other morning and it felt like God was wiping the tears off my face. All he wanted to ever do is love me.

Thank you friend in India:) I hope it has cooled down I saw it was very hot in the news and that people were suffering and that some people died. That is so heartbreaking to me .

I am doing better with "peppered and gingered" hot chicken soups. Thank you for reading the posts on the website. Your questions and life, I believe, is a blessing to many many people.

India is cooler now with the South-West Monsoon started across the

western coast of India and North India. Some parts of India are receiving heavy showers. The season has changed from hot summer to rainy monsoon.

I just would like to remind once again about what I wrote to you yesterday. You are fighting with the thoughts of failure that you have let down the Holy Spirit. Just know that God understands you and He wants you to have to come back to Him again. He wants you to have that steady walk with Him. Not falling and getting up...again falling and getting up...but now the most important point "YOU ARE TO GET UP" and You are doing that..."YOU ARE GETTING UP" you are not laying down...still in that fallen state.....

This morning God reminded the words I wrote to you yesterday. It just flashed back in my mind in my prayer time and I kept saying to God "Lord You are Important to Me..." sometimes...ministers are carried away by what they do for God and not by what they are to GOD.....

Again, today I meditated on David's life...after his sinning with Bathsheeba, after his baby was struck dead by God...do you think that was the judgement of God???? No.... subsequent chapters showed how much he suffered after....

His daughter was wronged by her brother - David's daughter Tamar who is the sister of Absalom was liked by another son of David called Amnon ....Amnon liked Tamar and wanted her and then wronged her but hated her very much after using her...this was more wicked than before...Absalom was very angry and kills Amnon....just imagine the agony of David...one daughter was mistreated by his own son..another son kills him...

Then comes treason of Absalom.... Read through the chapters of 2 Samuel 15 through 19....
Absalom wants to become the king while David was still the king and David runs for his life...finally Absalom gets killed and David mourns for his son's death...

Shimei curses David....David endures it patiently saying that the Lord has allowed it ....

Judgement after judgement...because of sin......He kept accepting the rightfulness of God's Justice in his life...and then He says finally in his last words......‘He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God. “Although my house is not so with God, Yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in all things and secure."

David’s Last Words

He understood God perfectly and said that God wants those who rule over the people must be just, ruling in the fear of God. In cases if they do wrong God's judgment will come. Although my house is not so just and fearing the Lord, yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant.....I have included the verses below...just imagine ____, how much GRACE David had in the Old Testament period...how much more we have in this ABSOLUTE GRACE PERIOD of New Testament. You need to claim the blood of Jesus for your washing daily and to have a relationship...the blood of Jesus speaks better things about you and me....EXALT the Sacrifice of JESUS on the cross for your sake and come before the Father...When FATHER GOD comes to smell your worship and prayer, HE SMELLS only JESUS' and THAT SATISFIES HIM and THAT JUSTIFIES YOU!!

Your questions of acceptance and approval are settled in the SACRIFICE of JESUS CHRIST. BELIEVE THAT AND PROCLAIM THAT...WALK IN IT AND POSSESS IT!!

Glad you are doing better, the soups sound really good. Thanks for saying that my questions and life are a blessing, i hope so! You are a blessing. Thank you.

True, what you say about David, God loved him, but he still had many consequences for his sin. I am going to keep saying "Lord you are important to me" and sometimes, I say "God loves me," and repeat that.

Well Saturday was such a hard day I thought i can not go on one more day. Seriously things are that hard. Life has never been like this before, but the next day at church was great I know God showed up because my friends were praying for me, and one lady I have only met a few times came up and prayed for me that my bad dreams would go away, I haven't told one person that I have bad dreams every night now. And she prayed I can be a pillar of strength etc.

Well I go to church not to hear these things, but simply to be in fellowship with others and to learn. I always loved to learn and to take notes on messages.

My friend prayed for me , and I didn't expect anything, except that God comes to us when we can't go any further on our own, when we need help from him, or to hear from him.

My friend prayed and said "____ you will fly again, but this time it will be different because I will be leading you" and "I have not forsaken you or ever left you" and "you have been seeking me for a long time now, I love you " "I will heal you" "i am strengthening you \" well it was a lot of words, so I can't remember it all. this is a good church, no weird vibes, and good real people teaching right out of the Bible so I do not doubt that God is speaking to me here.

Plus the week before a man at the church i had not met prayed with me and said "God showed me how much you want a relationship with him" He doesn't know anything about me either.

I had felt such distance but I haven't quit, even though at times where I thought that I committed blasphemy by ignoring God's warnings, his voice, and more, not living right ( not like i was so horrible, i just know I could have done so much better) so much. I thought I had quenched the Holy Spirit etc. I guess I felt this bad because this is the lowest point in my life. I was devastated if I had done that, life is not worth it without God. I never meant to be distant from him.

I was wondering that you are struggling with the feeling that God has distanced from you though time and again He is speaking to you through people around you. You have to believe the WORD God speaking to you than your feelings and walk by Faith to obey Him, please and Love Him with all your heart and soul. Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Believe that your prayers are heard every time you pray. You will eventually come into the realm of hearing God speak to yourself, sense His presence, and touch His glory......do not be in unbelief.....people cant come to God when they have unbelief...Hebrews says...when we approach Him we have to believe that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him....

People pleasers can’t be pleasers of God. Remember Saul became a pleaser of God and His priority shifted...then he disobeyed the Word of God...once you disobey the Lord, you might not hear His subsequent commands because He does not talk to somebody who cares nothing for His words or commands....He keeps silent...in that case Saul was disturbed that God was not speaking to Him and so he did not seek God more and mend his ways, but instead went to a Diviner - to talks with spirits through mediums which is abominable to God and so he lost once and for all his scope with God.......

Thank you so much for your patience with me as well... Your email is very helpful and a blessing. I will be working hard on my walk I keep the worship. Music on all night, set aside Bible study in the morning and I am at church and going to a bible study. & volunteer as,of last week to take food to homes. The first day I did volunteer I felt great to be used by God and got to encourage a young man to get back involved at church.

I will be asking Him to forgive me for doubting and or struggling.

I am contemplating divorcing my husband after 25 years of abuse, betrayal and violence. I am not financially stable but I’m trusting the Lord to make a way for me. I would like to get my own place and be able to serve the Lord and live in peace. Please pray a fast tracking of my claims…also I am meeting with the attorney who is doing my __________ Fund claim this Saturday at 9 am. Please pray for favour and a fast tracking so that I would be able to move out soon.

Also pray for peace in my family. It is not easy as we are tormented daily by my husband. I have been through a lot in 25 years of marriage and don’t have the strength to try anymore.

BIBLE DOES NOT ADVOCATE DIVORCE. Lord Jesus has confirmed it as well. God does not like you breaking the covenant, which you have made in the presence of God, though your husband has broken it time and again. Any one who ill treats other human being loses the grace of God. They slowly, slowly lose their grace in the sight of God. What happens is judgment, which will soon be passed. If you would patiently endure and honor the covenant for the sake of God, You will win favor in the sight of God. God will either turn things around or will release you DIVINELY, without you making any decisions outside the will of God and you will be blameless before His sight. ENDURE!! the LORD will release you from your troubles soon and You will be BLAMELESS Sister. Enduring is not easy. You will be able to only when the Lord strengthens you that in turn leads you to depend on Him more and more. More prayer, more worship, more Spirit of God, more of Him. Then only you will be able to be in Fire and come out without a singe....Because he is with you to protect you. This is a Prophetic Voice Blog Post written a couple of years back. Please read it and may the Lord speak to you!!

This is what God has been reiterating for the past whole week and for some reason I hesitated to post it. But since I got it confirmed through another Sister whom I am ministering to, I am sharing this warning message. I would like to share the heart of God through one incident that truly happened in the life of a very great Man of God who was used mightily to many thousands. The Lord has even used him to raise the dead and many thousands were delivered from the clutches of the enemy. The point here is he was truly a mighty man of God. All his life he was very zealous for the Lord and followed strict laws and was very strict with regards to sin. However, he treated his wife always with a commanding voice and never allowed her to take up the microphone and preach in his church. During the latter days of his life, he started beating her. The wife used to weep inside but never raised her voice against the man of God. When she had to visit a sick sister in another country, the husband of the sick sister who is an Apostle of God asked her “how are you doing Sister?” Sister said “after my husband pronounces benediction and God’s peace and love over the congregation, I pick up my handbag asking within “Lord where is my peace and love. This is how my life is”....Then that Apostle of God said, “Mene, Mene, Tekel Upharsin.” Sister, you have waited, just wait a little longer.” Upon hearing this word, that sister thought that God is going to touch her husband and set things right. But in just 90 days that great man of God, the husband of this sister passed away due to sickness. The Sunday before his death He came to church with the help of the aide and handed the microphone to his wife and as she said a few words to the congregation, he got it back from her and said “may this grace continue” and slowly climbed down the podium and left the premises back to his house with the help of the aide. Nevertheless, before his death he asked sorry to his wife and he asked her to pray over him. The widowed wife now leads the ministry after her husband's demise.

THIS INCIDENT GIVES US A WARNING ABOUT HOW GOD HATES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AS MUCH AS HE HATES THE DIVORCE. MAY THE LORD HELP US NOT TO DISPLEASE HIM BUT LOVE THE WIFE JUST AS THE LORD LOVES THE CHURCH. JESUS, THE BRIDEGROOM, LEFT THE GLORY OF HIS FATHER’S HOUSE TO SEEK A BRIDE – THE CHURCH - FOR HIMSELF UNDERGOING ALL SUFFERINGS AND AFFLICTIONS AND ELEVATING HIS BRIDE TO THE SAME GLORY AND HONOR HE HAS SHOWING AN EXAMPLE THAT A HUSBAND MUST LOVE HIS WIFE IN SUCH A MANNER. WIFE IN RETURN MUST BE SUBMISSIVE TO THE HUSBAND JUST AS THE BRIDE OF CHRIST TO THE CHRIST. MAY THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTER TO US ALL.

p.s. This incident really shook me as well when I heard it from the concerned person’s daughter and I am sharing it with the written consent and permission of the person.

Actually, you can enjoy the time you have now with the Lord...play some worship songs and hymns continually...or whenever possible or mildly in the background without disturbing your daughter or anyone around,.....the entire house will gradually be saturated with the presence of God...remove every form of filth from the house.....magazines, tapes, anything that would remind you of the sinful life...or any seducing stuffs....cleanse the new house and yourself with the precious blood of Jesus Christ and usher in His HOLY Presence and say that I have entered this so that You will RESIDE here with me.....You...that is YOUR BODY is the TEMPLE of the HOLY SPIRIT....HE resides in your BODY...remind yourself of this when you feel lonely or when you face temptations to commit sin....

God speaks through different ways...He speaks through the WORD OF GOD as an IMPRESSION or an highlighted WORD...or within you...impression or a still small voice....or through somebody.....like a servant of GOD, prophet or an anointed servant, or like an idea or suggestion...confirming again and again through various media and elements, through billboards, through sermons, through letters from Prophetic People, through FB, through twitter...through youtube.....through nature, through landscapes, through air, wind, sea, oceans, through so many ways....but the problem is with us...it is us who are not able to decipher His VOICE....HIS communication to us...a well-trained horse can understand its master very well, even His whispers can be understood by the warrior horse and is ready to do what is expected of it by the master....train yourself to hear Him....key is patience, holiness, discipline, open your senses to HIM and shut your senses to the WORLD....you will hear HIM LOUD AND CLEAR, every whisper, every nudge, every heartbeat, every thought of HIS!!....

Be encouraged and DELIGHT in HIM and PRAISE HIM and WORSHIP because HE IS WORTHY....like Mary Magdalene worship HIM with YOUR tears and WIPE His feet with YOUR HAIR because HE IS WORTHY...GIVE HIM ALL DUE WORSHIP AND REVERENCE...you won't feel lonely....GOD BLESS YOU!!

I put your phone number in my phone, as I will call when I can!

I am having the hardest time with a nagging feeling every day that I have pushed God to his limits with me, or that he has left me. I do not want to upset God, maybe it is the tactic the enemy is using to keep messing with my relationship with God, it is something I must overcome I believe. Can you pray for me to God that he would see I do want to live my life for him, for his glory, not for works, or for what I can do for him.

I didn't see so clearly until lately, as I grew up with the gospel message, wow....I understand the enormity of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for me, and for all of mankind. The weight of it makes sense, I didn't understand all of this so clearly until lately. We all understand the concept that Jesus died for our sins, until it really registers, he did it for me, for all of us, and obeyed the will of his father to be the LAMB.

As a result of my disobedience/backsliding I now suffer physically through contracted serious disease. What i did was so not like me, way out of my character. One little sin became huge, then bigger, the next thing i know, consuming. One night i even had the enemy plant thoughts in my head that I couldn't be forgiven for a few things and instead of shooting those thoughts down in my weak state, I pondered and accepted those thoughts. I pray God will forgive me for failing in spiritual battle as well. I want to be with him forever, and make him proud

Of course, looking back , i would never ever want to be distant from God again, as he longed to protect me, and sent me friends to warn me, and red flags, but unfortunately i didn't listen.. I feel that my joy has been stolen, some health stolen, and consequences are great.

I am really sorry about my sin, and I battle with these horrible feelings ...to be honest I felt for a month that God left me and that i wasn't worthy to touch the Bible etc. But i keep reading and learning, and I pray God will see I am truly sorry...thank you for being there for me to write, and for your ministry pages, I printed some to read today on spiritual battle.

I appreciate your desire to "to be with him forever and make him proud."

When Jesus lived on this earth he moved with the sinners and disciples and tax collectors. All of these people according to the so-called pious religious people of that society are "sinners" they do not keep the law, but JESUS most of the time moved with them. God is nearer to the heart which beats up unto, Lord saying I am unworthy and I am a sinner. Whereas He is afar off from them that are feeling "I have done all things to come near to God." I do not mean that we need to be sinning and have to be with the remorse feeling in order to come near to God. But the TRUTH is any amount of righteous deeds does not qualify us to get near Him, it is through the righteous DEED of the LAMB of GOD, Jesus Christ. When we beat up our chest and say Lord I am a sinner, when we break down before Him, He comes nearer to us. Psalm 51 depicts David's crying and weeping state before the Lord. He is pleading with the Lord, Cast Me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from Me Lord. Restore unto me the Joy of Your salvation and a new right Spirit with me. What you need to be doing is the same. God does not use a self-righteous Saint, but He is wanting to get closer to a humble heart who knows its weakness and inabilities and asking the Lord for help to live a life that pleases Him alone.

It is impossible to lead a Godly Holy Life without His Help. If we are not falling into sin today, it is because of His Grace and Help and not because of our self-control or character. When we realize His grace in our lives, we truly LIVE. When we do not realize this truth, we are proud and God is way far away from a proud person.

I am more than willing to pray for you __________. Every time there is a feeling to give in into temptation, we need to remember His Word that says "He has given all things that are necessary for us to lead a Godly life." Lord Your Word says this, so I have all things that are necessary to lead a Godly life. Lord please show me the way of escape from this temptation, I want to make you proud. The Lord shall show you the way. It does not matter if you may have to lose some privileges but make a choice to live a holy Godly life. All that you sacrificed to lead a godly life, will come following you double fold.

Good that you are reading Bible in-spite of your guilty feeling and feelings of unworthiness. Thanking the Lord that you are not giving place for Satan to keep you far away from the Word of God. The Word of God sanctifies you and cleanses you. These feelings don't. Please continue to read the Word no matter what. Tell the devil, true I have messed up, but I am asking the blood of Jesus to cleanse me from all my messes and I am repenting and taking steps to get into the relationship with my Lord. You cannot stop me in this process because Jesus came for me and He died for me and His blood is speaking better things to the Father. Because the Blood is pleading, the Father will take me into His fold and restore me into the beautiful relationship with Him.

True, there are consequences of sin we need to suffer in this world, but that does not say God has left us. Confess saying - I will survive the consequences of sin through the Faith in the Son of God and will make Him Proud by showing Him my Faith in His redemptive Power.

Jesus has done much much much deeper and glorious deeds through His death and resurrection. Meditate on His suffering and His Word. Every suffering of His is for you __________. There is a blessing attached to His suffering. When You claim His suffering and His blood for your life, Father sees His son and not you. His son's blood is what needs to be covering us. Nothing of us is holy unto the Lord except His Son.

March Forward toward the Lord. Speak to the Lord. Read Psalm 51. Read Numbers 20, 21, 22. How Israelites pushed God to the far limits and made God angry, and they had to face the consequences, yet when they repented and cried to the Lord and when Moses prayed for them, God sent them a relief and remedy and continued His eternal plan of taking them to the Land He has promised. We have someone much much greater than Moses. His blood not only pleads for us, it cleanses us from all iniquities. We are living in the days where God has promised something awesome

Jeremiah 31
31 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

32 Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, says the Lord.

33 But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

34 And they will no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they will all know Me [recognize, understand, and be acquainted with Me], from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will [seriously] remember their sin no more.

According to the New Covenant brought in by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, God is writing His law in our hearts. He will make us walk in His ways and He said He will be our God and we will be His people. The Lord Himself make us walk in His ways - All By HIS GRACE. We just needs to depend on JESUS alone for everything.

Me: Sorry for the delayed response. I was traveling and just catching up with things.

Psalmist had to under go such oppression from his own brothers, family, and from the outsiders. Most of his lifetime was in troubles, but in the midst of all he was having fellowship with God.

CRY UNTO THE LORD:

Constantly, Psalmist was communicating to God both his negative situations and positive situations. In between, through him the Spirit of the Lord gives Prophetic Utterances like "Now will I arise, says the Lord, because the poor are oppressed, because of the groans of the needy; I will set him in safety and in the salvation for which he pants. (‭Psalm‬ ‭12‬:‭ 5‬ AMP).

HELP, Lord! For principled and godly people are here no more; faithfulness and the faithful vanish from among the sons of men. To his neighbor each one speaks words without use or worth or truth; with flattering lips and double heart [deceitfully] they speak. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips and the tongues that speak proud boasting, Those who say, With our tongues we prevail; our lips are our own [to command at our will]–who is lord and master over us? Now will I arise, says the Lord, because the poor are oppressed, because of the groans of the needy; I will set him in safety and in the salvation for which he pants. (‭Psalm‬ ‭12‬:‭1-5‬ AMP)

CLAIM THE PROMISE OF GOD:

Speak over your lives the WORD of God which is the WILL of God. The WORD of God changes the situations of your life. Speak it and claim it and possess it for the GLORY OF GOD.

You shall establish yourself in righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God's will and order): you shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭14‬ AMP)

CRAVE FOR HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND STAY HUMBLE:

Follow the ways of the Lord. Be dependent on Him always, it keeps you humble. When the riches increase do not set your heart on it. When the fame increase, do not care about it and try and build a empire around you. Always know the Remanent of Israel are afflicted, poor in spirit, who trust, seek refuge, and are confident in the name of the Lord. Plead the Lord to keep you in the midst of people who do no iniquity, who speak no lies, who are not haughty and pride, nor deceitful. Plead the Lord to keep you from pain and evil just as Jabez prayed.

In that day you [the congregation of Israel] shall not be put to shame for all your deeds by which you have rebelled and transgressed against Me, for then I will take away out of your midst those who exult in your majesty and pride; and you shall no more be haughty [and carry yourselves arrogantly on or] because of My holy mountain. For I will leave in the midst of you a people afflicted and poor, and they shall trust, seek refuge, and be confident in the name of the Lord. What is left of Israel shall not do iniquity or speak lies, neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth, for they shall feed and lie down and none shall make them afraid. (‭Zephaniah‬ ‭3‬:‭11-13‬ AMP)
The Lord God is a prayer answering God and He is the creator of all human beings. There is no shadow of turning with Him and He is no respecter of Persons and He is not cunning or crafty but He takes the wicked and the worldly wise in their own craftiness. Just depend and rely on Him. Be sincere and genuine. Be faithful and Be led by the Spirit of God. One of the qualities of the Spirit of God is patience. Move when He moves, until then you are preserved by the Lord by His Spirit. Let your emotions be under His control.

Trust In God

This is a message for everyone. I pray that this message will make us analyze ourselves in terms of trusting God and will empower us to “trust” in the Lord.

Definition of the Word “Trust”

The definition of the word trust is reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety of a person or a thing. It also implies instinctive unquestioning belief and reliance upon someone or something.

When I say I trust in God, it means that I rely upon his integrity that means He is true to His word, He is faithful, He is upright, he is able to accomplish what He has said. He is strong, He is steady and unchanging. I believe Him without an atom of doubt.

What is actually meant by Trusting God?

Trusting His Word = Trusting God

First of all, we need to believe Bible is God’s Word. That forms the foundation of trusting God. You and I cannot trust God without having trust in the Word of God given to us in the form of Bible.

Bible is written by chosen people of God inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is proven. Psalm 12:6 “The Words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.”

Also God’s Word is incorruptible and imperishable. Lord Jesus says in Mark 13:31 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” In other words, my Words are eternal and imperishable.

Psalm 33: 4- 6

4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness.

5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord.

6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all their host by the breath of His mouth.

Psalm 138: I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name!

God has magnified his promise, and his faithfulness to it, above all His other revealed attributes. Therefore, we cannot trust God without trusting His Word. He and His word are inseparable. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Therefore, it is established that we cannot trust God without having trust in His Word.

Why should we have to trust in God?

Proverbs 28:25 says “but he who puts his trust in the Lord shall be enriched and blessed.” Amplified / He who trusts in the Lord shall prosper.

Psalm 84:12

O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, without fear or misgiving]!

Proverbs 16:20

He who deals wisely and heeds [God’s] word and counsel shall find good, and whoever leans on, trusts in, and is confident in the Lord—happy, blessed, and fortunate is he.

Isaiah 26

3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high.

Trust in the Lord for one’s own prosperity, enrichment, and blessedness, happiness, Peace, security, stability, safety, and or promotion and elevation.

What are the challenges in trusting God?

We will be tempted to trust in ourselves, trust in Man, trust in riches, trust in flesh – the behaviors or the outputs independent of the Fruits of the Spirit, trusting in worldly wisdom, and trusting in education, wealth, influence, power, and the like

Temptation to trust in self:

Proverbs 28:26

He who leans on, trusts in, and is confident of his own mind and heart is a [self-confident] fool, but he who walks in skillful and godly Wisdom shall be delivered

Temptation to trust man:

Psalm 118

8 It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Psalm 62:

9 Men of low degree [in the social scale] are emptiness (futility, a breath) and men of high degree [in the same scale] are a lie and a delusion. In the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

Temptation to trust in carnal behaviors and wealth and walk independently of the Holy Spirit:

10 Trust not in and rely confidently not on extortion and oppression, and do not vainly hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.

What are the symptoms of Trusting God?

You will be at peace, at rest in God. You are not perturbed. You have full confidence that God is in control. You are flowing with the Spirit of God.

Some of the Confessions of Trust:

Psalm 62

1 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation.

2 He only is my Rock and my Salvation, my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be greatly moved.

5 My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.

6 He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.

7 With God rests my salvation and my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God!

Psalm 91: 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

Isaiah 12:2

Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and song; yes, He has become my salvation.

8 Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower).

Psalm 56

4 By [the help of] God I will praise His word; on God I lean, rely, and confidently put my trust; I will not fear. What can man, who is flesh, do to me?

Understanding the Body Of Christ

I was inspired to write on the Body of Christ a few weeks back, finally I have written one. This post is totally based on my personal experience and observation how the Spirit of God works in conjunction with the scriptures. Experienced Apostles, Prophets who read this post "may" find this to be "different." Kindly feel free to share your comments and experience in order for us to analyze in the light of the scriptures. Here is the post for us all.

What is church and what is the Body of Christ?

A physical church mostly denotes to a building, very few speak of the people who form the church. Man has jurisdiction over the physical church. Even the State or the government has jurisdiction over the church or the organization.

What Christ intended to build is not a physical church. Christ referred to it as “Ekklesia”

In Matthew 16:18, "…And I (Jesus Christ) say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church (Greek - ekklesia)…"

One study says “The Greek word "ekklesia," is used 115 times in the New Testament, and in most Bibles, it is always translated as "church" (except in Acts 19:32,39,41, where it is properly translated as "assembly").

The first complete English Bible, Tyndale Bible (in about 1524 AD ) did not use the word "church" anywhere in its pages, it used the word "congregation." Sometime after this Bible, they started replacing the word "congregation" with the word "church."

What does Ekklesia mean?

Greek word Ekklesia means “to be called out.” Ek means “out of” klesis means “a calling” So, Christ was telling Peter - upon this revelation that I am the Christ, Son of the Living God, I will build “those who are called out.”

Are you getting it? Those who are saved are the ones who acknowledge that Christ is the Son of the Living God, the savior of mankind and that Christ is their Lord over their lives. As they come into this revelation, they are taken out of the world and translated into the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son, The Christ, and He is beginning to build them. This Ekklesia has no boundaries. This is universal. Man or the government of this world has no jurisdiction over this, but CHRIST is the Ruler and He is the Head of this “Ekklesia” the Body of Christ.

How does Christ build this Ekklesia?

God saves people by exercising His Divine Will and brings them into this entity called “ekklesia” even if they do not attend any local church, they are brought into this “invisible entity” called the body of Christ. They are brought into the Kingdom of God. They become God’s own. However, those who are isolated are deprived of the privilege which I will mention below.

Now, those who have access to be part of the group or an assembly of the “called out ones” or those who are brought into this entity “ekklesia” have several privileges. This “ekklesia or the assembly” is built up upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus as the Chief Cornerstone by the Holy Spirit. The master builder is the Holy Spirit. People need not worry about building this “ekkelsia,” they need to be simply cooperating with the Holy Spirit. He is the one who is in-charge.

Ephesians 2: 22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit

Ephesians 2
9 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household.

20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the Chief Cornerstone.

21 In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord].

22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

Body of Christ built on the Foundation of Apostles and Prophets:

Ephesians 2
20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the Chief Cornerstone.

God is much, much concerned about building His “Ekklesia.” He is the master manager and the most able administrator. He chooses people even before they are formed in their mother’s wombs and designates them, trains, and forms them for His work. Apostles normally go through a lot of affliction. They are the special messengers of God and they can handle all the functions and so the training is very, very rigorous. They hear directly from God.

Prophets also form the foundation of the Body of Christ. Like the Apostles, they can hear directly from God regarding the Body of Christ. They are the mouthpiece of God.

Because there are real ones, there will be counterfeits also. We need to identify the counterfeits by discerning, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Even if we are able to identify the real authentic ones of the Lord, we need to be discerning every time that the Lord is speaking to us. This is possible when we are also led completely by the Lord. One Holy Spirit is working throughout the Body of Christ. He is the connecting media and is communicating to all in the Spirit frequency and signals. When we are tuned in properly our receptors will grasp the right signals and receive Divine Directions and Instructions from the Lord. One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is discerning of the Spirits. This is not only discerning whether the person is the right one or not, but also whether the right person is speaking under the unction of the Holy Spirit or not. Best Example is from the life of our Lord Jesus Christ in His interaction with Peter. Matthew 16: 15 through 23 speaks of this. One moment, Jesus commends Peter that he spoke with Divine Revelation and sometime later Jesus had to rebuke Peter as Satan, who was influencing Peter. Each time Jesus looked underneath the outcome, into the source, and discerned things rightly. Similarly, we need to be discerning every time. If it is from the Holy Spirit you will know it and if it is not from the Holy Spirit you will know it then as well. But know that people are also in the transition. Also, consider it as a privilege and honor from the Lord if you are connected with the right Prophets and Apostles and you are under their Spiritual Covering. Pray for them that they will always be led by the Spirit of God, pray for their prosperity, their blessing, their family, their protection. Know the protocol of the Body of Christ that they form the foundation of the Body of Christ. Apostles and Prophets need to be in unity knowing that each of them have a secure place in the Body of Christ, under the governing of One God, One Spirit, One Cornerstone, and One Head, The Christ.

In my humble opinion, or in my observation, most of the time, Divine alliances are made between Prophet and Apostle, Evangelist with an Evangelist in marriages. This is a strategic alliance that would support the call and duty assigned to each individual. Even otherwise, God brings His Ekklesia the “called out ones” under the Spiritual Covering of an Apostle and Prophet by Divine Means. This is mandatory for growth, for building up, and for protection. The Holy Spirit works within the structure for sanctification, edification, and growth including the members within towards presenting the Body Of Christ as a Blameless Spotless Bride for the Soon Coming Heavenly Bridegroom.

Designated Functions in the Body of Christ:

There are designated documented functions in the Body of Christ. It is called the Office of the Five-Fold Ministry. Below verses explain it clearly.

Ephesians 4
11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.

12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

Office of the Five-Fold Ministry:

1. Apostles (special messengers) – form the foundation.

2. Prophets (inspired preachers and expounders) - form the foundation.

3. Evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries)

4. Pastors (shepherds of His flock)

5. Teachers (expound and explain the Word of God in details and revelatory manner)

Apostles:

The one who is appointed in the office of the Apostle is authenticated to function in all five offices, what I mean is they get direct messages from the Lord, they get the plan and the blueprint from the Lord, they can also prophesy, they can also do evangelism accompanied with miracles and signs, they can also Shepherd the people in the congregation. They can also teach the Word of God. They possess all 5 functional giftings. In order to qualify for that office, they would also have to undergo so much of affliction in their life.

Prophets:

The one who is appointed in the office of the Prophet are the inspired preachers and expounders. They get the download from the Lord and they act as the mouthpiece of God. It is good to listen to God all the time and get the signals and directions from the Lord. Since the Holy Spirit is dwelling within us, in this New Testament times the Prophets act as a confirmation voice of the Lord. Authentic prophetic insights, impacts, and impartation must be welcomed by those who have jurisdiction over their local ministry and church in order for them to move in line with the Holy Spirit and also to see things as God sees and to have a Godly global perspective.

Evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries)

As described, God appoints people in the office of the Evangelism with the designated duty to preach the Gospel. They are also workers of miracles, healings, deliverances, and wonders for the furtherance of the Kingdom. They are in the front line and in the business of plundering hell and populating heaven. They are like the marketing wing.

Pastors:

Person who is appointed in this office is given the responsibility of taking care of the souls who are brought in to the Body of Christ by Evangelism. That is why they are called shepherds. A shepherd provides and protects his flock. Lord Jesus himself has set an example for the Shepherd. A pastor is to lay his life down for his flock and not vice-versa. John 10 explains clearly how a shepherd should be from the life of the Good and Great Shepherd. Ezekiel 34 gives a picture of bad and good shepherds.

Teachers (expound and explain the Word of God in details and revelatory manner)

The one who is appointed to this office has a gifting to expound and explain the Word of God in a very detailed and more comprehensive manner. They tend to get revelations from the Word of God. Holy Spirit enables them to see scriptures in a new perspective each time and makes them dig out the treasures from the scriptures for the edification and the growth of the Body of Christ.

So, if we allow the Holy Spirit to take over the local church, He comes in and takes over. He has limitless jurisdiction. He will function in such a way from taking care of the needs of each individual to meeting the global (Godly) perspective criteria - that is micromanaging and macro-managing at the same time. When Man has control over his jurisdiction, his local church, he thinks small and he fails to do justice to the call of God, to his position as the leader. But when a leader gives full control to the managing force, the Holy Spirit with a global perspective of Universal Invisible Body of Christ, people in his church will be taken care of by the Lord himself. He just needs to cooperate with the “Divine Working Force” and the rest is taken care by God - in my humble opinion. A pastor of a church needs to be connected with Apostles and Prophets. God will send Apostles and Prophets, because it is God’s building project and not man’s, and man need to identify it and cooperate with the Holy Spirit. Even if a pastor is not able to identify it, if he is divinely led, God will connect him to His Foundation, the Apostles and Prophets. God does follow protocols.

Likewise, each office should be interconnected. God will bring Divine Connections and Divine covenant connections. God will not leave anyone isolated because we are part of His Body. There will be people who will be Spirit-led, obedient, having the image of Jesus Christ, bearing the fruits of the Spirit, whom God will send and connect with those who are isolated, for equipping them up for the calling that is upon their lives. This is confirmed in the below verses.

Ephesians 2

22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

Ephesians 4

12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),
13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the []full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

When Christ comes the universal Body of Christ, the Ekklesia, will be received and will be removed from this world along with the governing force "the Holy Spirit." Then what is left will be the physical church - buildings and those left behind, etc. It is unimaginable how the world would be without the Holy Spirit. Life will be terrible when the Comforter is taken away. Truly, the world will be in great distress.

Be Thankful!!

It is so joyful to have special days, festive days or days of celebration. It lifts up our spirits and brings in fellowship and communion with each other. However, it is imperative that the reason behind the festivity and feasting & celebration is about honoring God and giving thanks to Him. Bible says in Romans 14: 6 He who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. He also who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; It is good to give thanks to the Lord everyday and it is also good to specialize a day to remember all the goodness and blessings of the Lord and be thankful to Him.

To be thankful is nothing but doing Gods Perfect Will. He has revealed His Will in His word in I Thessalonians 5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Being thankful is feeling or being appreciative of kindness or benefits received; It is most of the time expressive either by words or actions. It is a very sweet attitude.

Colossians 3:15b says And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

Psalmist says about expressing the thankfulness in the sanctuary of the Lord. Psalm 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!

Ephesians 5:4 says Let there be no filthiness (obscenity, indecency) nor foolish and sinful (silly and corrupt) talk, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting or becoming; but instead voice your thankfulness [to God].

The Lord’s will is always good for us. Thankfulness to God and people around is also associated with our well-being. People who have the attitude of gratitude are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and higher sense of self-worth. According to Marcus Tullius Cicero, Roman Philosopher, "Gratitude is not only the greatest of the virtues but the parent of all others." Multiple psychological studies have shown the correlation between gratitude and increased wellbeing not only for the individual but for all people involved.

There is a curse if we are not grateful to God. It is recorded in Deuteronomy chapter 28 in verse 47 and 48

Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness of [mind and] heart [in gratitude] for the abundance of all [with which He had blessed you],

Therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord shall send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and in want of all things; and He will put a yoke of iron upon your neck until He has destroyed you.

Therefore it is implicated here that we need to cheerfully serve the Lord with gratitude in heart. It will definitely bring in more blessings into our lives.

Know The Schemes Of The Enemy:

Discontentment is one of the biggest weapons the enemy uses. It makes you feel dissatisfied with your life in spite of all the good things you have and you enjoy. It causes jealousy, bitterness, envying, complaining, etc. It causes you to oppress others as well. It makes you stingy and not generous and benevolent. You would not be able to thank God for what God has done in your life, but you'll always be looking at the other person. Finally, you are not living your life to the fullest as God ordained. It is well said “Gratitude is not only the greatest of the virtues but the parent of all others.” Perhaps that is why the Lord has made it one of His Ten Commandments, not to be covetous of what is others. When we covet what is others', it would cause discontentment with our own life causing us to ungrateful to God. You may wish to have blessings like car or house, but let that wish be not because somebody else has them, but let that be because you need it for your life. God is good and benevolent to supply all your needs according to His riches and glory.

How do we cultivate this lifestyle of Thankfulness:

Ask the Lord for a Sensitive Heart:

Hard and insensitive heart cannot appreciate the goodness or benefit or blessing. It would take everything for granted. We need to appreciate everything around us. Albert Einstein said “There are only two ways to live a life; one is as though nothing is a miracle; The other is as if everything is.” If we look at everything as a miracle, how excited we would be and it creates a positive attitude and gratefulness towards God. That gratitude towards God will reflect into other avenues and areas of life.

Though there are circumstances that you would not be able to show your thankful because of certain constraints, when you express your gratitude in the presence of the Lord for that person or a thing and pray for that person, though they may not know that you are being thankful for them but the Lord knows and He sees you. As you continue in this lifestyle of gratitude and being thankful, at the right time, the Lord will enable you to bless those who blessed you and express your gratitude for them in action. The Key is Gratitude in heart. For the lips speak from the fullness of the heart. Luke 6:45. Not just words you would translate your gratitude into actions as well.

Journal It:

It is good to record events and things on a daily basis because you may forget as you carry it over or procrastinate. I maintain a notebook called “Record of The Goodness of the Lord In Year __________” I have been having notebooks like that since 2011. I should have started it before itself. It is better late than never. This has been a very effective way to defeat the schemes of the enemy and to appreciate the Lord’s goodness everyday. Everything I attribute it finally to the Lord. The sentence would start like this invariably “Thank you Jesus for __________.”

Here is a simple or silly example:

October 23, 2014: Thank you Jesus today there’s a milestone in my ministry, today my youtube video – Closer crossed 1000 views (1314 views actually).

This is just for example, you and I can be thankful for so many other good and great things the Lord has done in our lives each and every day. Nothing is simple or silly. Everything counts. If we do not record them, we may forget them and we may lose this lifestyle of being grateful and thankful to God.

Count Your Blessings by The Martins have these wonderful lyric lines;

He had family friends and money, loved the lord with all his heart

So the devil went to God and said ole Job would fall apart

If you would take away his fortune, let me put him to the test

Soon poor Job had lost his health, and wealth, and all the rest

And as his troubles added up, he fell down on his knees

He said lord I still got one thing, and that’s your love for me

You got to count your blessing, you’ll find one if you try

Count on the lord and watch that blessing multiply

All those might have, could have, should have beens, are nothing but distressing

When you’re down and out, its time to count your blessing

You might go through hard times, when you fall into despair

Remember you’re surrounded by his blessings everywhere

It’s in a neighbors helping hand, or in the sunshine of a smile

One blessing leads to one more, you’ll be counting for a while

It’s best to look at what you have, forget what you have not

And just learn a lesson from old Job and give thanks for what you got

Find Ways To Express Your Gratitude:

Praising God is a way of expressing our gratitude. Every morning when we get up to seek God, our heart should be filled with gratitude for the new day, for His new mercies, for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross, for the salvation wrought through Him, for the Holy Spirit who is with Us, for the Father God’s love over us, so on and so forth. As we begin our day with gratitude for God, then we become appreciative of other things in our lives. Though you may feel life has been so unfair or unkind to me what is there for me to be thankful for. If you are washed by the Blood of Jesus Christ, that is enough for you to be grateful and thankful for the Lord. Just focus on Jesus Christ, His sacrifice and His grace and what He accomplished for you on the cross and this one thing is ENOUGH for you and me to be thankful for. He has expressed His love for you and me by dying on the cross. This Love of God is more than enough to be thankful for. Other things are just additions.

Express your gratitude to God not just by words also by actions. A teaching leader in our Bible Study Fellowship has put it beautifully,

“Jesus Paid It All – Gratitude demands that I grow my relationship with Him.”

“Jesus Paid It All – Gratitude demands that we live holy obedient lives.”

Beautiful isn’t it?

Similarly, we should express our thankfulness and gratitude to people in our lives. We normally express our thankfulness to so many people outside our family but we take our own people for granted. Appreciate your husband, your wife, your mother, your father, your sister or brother, even the little ones. Express your thankfulness for them. As we journal everything in our record, we also record the people who were instrumental for every goodness and blessing, be grateful for them and express your gratitude for them in ways you can find possible and at right times. Make them know that you are appreciative of them.

Give thanks to the Lord for the Lord is good and His Love endures forever!!
