Gunpla Build World Championship(GBWC) Battle 2016

2016-11-23T09:14:00.003-08:00

Hi all,

GBWC 2016 is now happening live at Da Men Mall USJ.. I was also 1 of the participant was actually amazed on all the entries.. and also was very shocked to see JS Hobby owner.. there helping out to take awesome pictures for all the participant..

Kudos to JS Hobby.. coming all the way from Johor to Kuala Lumpur/Selangor to help out on the GBWC 2016 event.. I seriously think that Litt Tak Sdn Bhd should really award them something or at least acknowledge their afford.. it's allot of hard work guys..

Well, for my blog's pictures/photos or event comment is based on my own judgement and own free will.. using my personal owned Smartphone Sony Z3 under Manual mode, with lighting adjustment. If there's a need to use my pictures/photos.. feel free to use it but do reference it to my blog and also drop me an email/whats app/call to inform me that you have used my pictures/photos/comments.

Without further ado, I will share out pictures/photos taken during the visit at this yearly meaningful event. For the Gunplas lover/Fanboys/Fangirls and of cause.. collectors.. it's a time to hangout relax and school holidays are also around the corner.. do pack up your kids to bring them to the excitement of their life time event at Da Men Mall USJ.

When entering the Mall from car park, this is what you will see..

Here's the limited Expo products/kits sold at the event.

The event at GBWC 2016 Display..

Below here are the entries from this year participant's built.. There're some built that really catch my eyes just by looking at it.. really have the wow factor!. Below are the few of it..

And the work that I think that really lots of time is used to prep and polish and prep and cut.. prim and colors.. do deserved a highlight.. the work's is massively well planned.. scene..

The below here are the rest of the awesome participant's work.. do feast your eyes with it :)

Please Pardon myself being taken into this picture.. but this is really a great kit :)

I noticed someone just now during the entries of GBWC 2016 at Da Men, commented something like, "wow.. look.. the pros come back again.. the newbies all no need win lo..." [While taking Pictures] turning around seeing them kiddos, I just tell them off,

"Bros, no need so despair over comparing skills.. you have to understand how long those pros take to be pros.. and if you guys are just starter.. why want to compare an apple with an orange? Understand that?
Winning's just a bonus, the main important thing in this Gunpla hobby is creativity and also to enjoy it.."

[in a split silent, they nodded] and I continue taking pictures...

Deep in me my advice is, [Please don't take this small disappointment over your skill as something to stop your growth in gunpla-ing you're still young and much more to learn.. as I'm no pro myself.. and at my age.. I'm still learning.. everyday..]

I shall end this Blog Post for the night.. with my own very noob entry.. BATTLE ENDED!.. :)

Cheers,
Ascentic@Nick

LBX Hunter - Jungle Camouflage Theme

2013-07-31T08:48:00.000-07:00

Dear all fans for Gunpla and Plamo,

It's been a while again.. too many task and works.. to be settled by me.. my daily life jobs.. somehow when I sleep one night.. I dream of something and when I woke up in the morning.. the dreams became my idea.. so, I wrote it down on my daily note book.. of the idea that struck me. It's about me being a sniper, running around the high ground taking down enemies like nobody business.. and it's way to cool to put it into words!.. You might be saying that, I might be playing too much games.. but well.. I've not touch no games for ages.. except mobile games.. sad case huh..

Well, as I saw there's a LBX Group build held by Scaled Modelers Lounge, I just like to give it a try.. and thinking back of the IDEA of putting my sniper dream into reality.. I've chosen LBX Hunter as my trial subject .. hehe.. I went on searching for material and high and low for the items that can be used to plug it into my idea. I managed to buy it from Berjaya Time Square on the furry stickers which hit my mind that I will make use of it to create something difference.. so I take up the challenge to try something new and out of the box!.. That's the time when I wrote in my Facebook.. taking another step up and further!.. and trying something out of the box!. and was given high encouragement words to go on!.

These stickers with fur of animal is actually used to stick on pencil case.. and maybe on the girls/woman cosmetic box.. or even vase for high class look.. but this idea struck my head and say.. hey.. why not taking a step out and do something way out of the box and crazy enough to stick it on GUNPLA.. then LBX comes to my mind.. and because of animal skin.. HUNTER is a wolf so.. let's give it a try..

Below are my WIP..

Filling in and sand out the hole from the stinger missile pack.

A long long process to fill up and using a sand paper to sand it

Add Tamiya Putty to make it all Even!

The Furry Tail of LBX Hunter, many tools are used to cut and trim the furry stickers

All is done using Stickers.. And lots of touch up is done..

Test and Trials of many the furry tail

Using Tamiya Hobby Craft Knife and Tamiya Side Cutter to have find finishing and nub mark-less kit.

Sanding and more Sanding.. before prime and paint..

IDEAS put into Reality!

Test Fit On Body and Head..

More Pictures.. on Test Fitting..

Test Fit for the full Hunter.. Get Ready for some ACTION!

Getting Ready To POW the ROAD!!!

Hunter Standing By!

Getting Ready to Shoot

Back View of the Hunter

Sniper Rifle.. still have much to add on :p

Side look of how this furry hunter looks

Sniper Rifle with Camouflage leaf like material wrap on it..

Well, here's my finished product.. of caused.. I will try to put it in my hilly forest diorama to do some nice shooting pose!.. But this will only be done when I've my free time.

Cheers,
bZai/Ascentic

GunplaMo - First ever 3rd Party Group Build 2013

2013-03-22T21:25:00.001-07:00

GunPlaMo Group Build

Hello Gunpla Fans, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It's been quite a long while since I last blog.. So so... soo.... sorry about that.. :-) Glad to see that I've allot more followers on my blog now. Thank you all. Hopefully by this year, it will be more eventful.. and more things to write in this blog of mine..

Well, as you can see why there's the logo GunPlaMo.. Group build on the header? haha.. it's because I was busying with this group build.. it's a 3rd party group build and for the first time.. it's actually started up by me.. I've organized this event and also asked for sponsorship.. for the event prize.. from our local Malaysian sellers.. in Lowyat.net

This group build is divided into 3 categories, we had straight build categories, painted build categories and also dioramas categories.. well, it's seems just a little.. categories only.. but it's a real challenge to complete everything in at least 1 to 2 months time.

I've always wanted everyone to participate in this group build is not because of the prize .. it's to make gunpla more and more interesting.. where we can actually have fun time building it together and shares joyful moment together.. although it's not done in a group where everyone meet up at a location... this whole group build is base on online, where people around the world can actually join it..

This is the first time I've started this group build event.. I do hope that it's going to have 2nd and 3rd time.. this year time.. as We had the original Bandai from Japan competition... now, we just have a small group build fun to do it for ourselves and our China Gunpla 3rd party Group build fun!..

I've posted this event is to share the fun and what I've been busying lately.. so stay tune with me, where on 1st of April 2013, it will be the deadline of this group event, and I will post out the entries of each and everyone who participated it here to show their works!.. and of cause the winner of this 1st round Group builds will be shown here as well..

Thank you for following me in my blogs and as a token of appreciation, do email me your address, and name, and also stating what's your nickname that follows my blog, to my email, ascentic@gmail.com and I will post out to you, a small gifts.

Cheers,
bZai/Ascentic
