Amidst this, we saw the beginning of new things springing up including the inauguration of our first black president with a new hope and the branding of the slogans "Yes We Can" and "Change". The world is always evolving. We are always evolving. The one thing I've learned is that nothing is secure.  Just because something worked for a certain length of time, doesn't mean that it will always work.  I have also learned humility, never look down on someone else because of your position in life.  Everything in this natural realm of life is transitional. For large companies its their Board of Directors.  For small businesses it may be a another employee or an outside advisor.  Either way we need checks and balances.  Why am I saying this.  For one its easy for us to get a little big headed when our businesses are prospering.
