Hi friends! I hope that everyone has had a great summer and is staying cool. I don't know about ya'll but here in Charlotte the heat has been unbearable. I am ready for some football, cool nights and cozy fires. Whenever there is a change in seasons, it makes me think about changes in decorating and ways to transition my home to the cooler temps. It also makes me want to buy! Haha! I don't think there is ever a time I don't want to buy. So, for this post, I am going to give you all some of my tips and tricks for finding the perfect accessories, vintage goodies and antiques for your home. Since I am a southern gal, I thought I would share my favorite resources here in the South!

Atlanta! Atlanta was my first "big city" home and will always hold a special place in my heart. Atlanta is the best for all things design. It is the home of Bennett Street and Miami Circle, two wonderful streets dedicated to some of the best antique shops. I actually used to work on Miami Circle for a local designer and loved its array of shops and art galleries. Atlanta is also the spot for ADAC (Atlanta Decorative Arts Center) where all of the design field go to for to the trade resources. Scott Antique Market is my absolute favorite for one of a kind treasures. This market is held the second weekend of every month in Atlanta in two big expo centers. If I am on the hunt for something special, this is my go to spot. I have found everything from textiles to pillows to antiques to upholstery here. This is worth the trip!

Charlotte! This has been my home base for almost three years (still can't believe how fast time flies) and is home to so many fun stores and shops. I feel like Charlotte is the best spot for vintage finds. I can always count on finding something unique here. To highlight my favorite stops, Slate Interiors and Sleepy Poet Antiques are hands down the best. Charlotte caters to small businesses and I find that there is a real sense of being an entrepreneur and standing out in this city. Not only is Charlotte a great spot, but NC is a hot bed for furniture and design. Go check out the High Point Market if you are ever in the area. This market is for design professionals but during this time many of the antique and furniture showrooms will open up to the public.

More Slate goodies. There chairs pictured here were actually found at Sleepy Poet and I painted and reupholstered them for sale in my space at Slate.

Another one of my fab finds at an estate sale in Charlotte that was sold at my booth at Slate. Estate sales and Craigslist are a hot bed for great furniture at reasonable prices.

Asheville! Asheville has so many eclectic and fun shops, but one of my favorites is called The Screen Door. I have found a great lucite cocktail table here for a steal and lots of great accessories. You have to be ready to dig but if you are,you can rack up on goodies to take home! There are also many locally owned antique stores along Biltmore Avenue and Lexington Avenue to name a few. I have found chandeliers, waterford glasses and great mid century modern pieces just wandering through these shops.

Savannah! Savannah just screams antiques. With all of the beautiful architecture, oak lined streets and mystery, this place makes me want to get a good glass of wine and hunt for treasures all day. In Savannah there is no open container law so you can definitely pursue your favorite shops with a tasty drink in hand. The last time I visited Savannah, I discovered a new shop called Clutter. Clutter is a high end consignment store where I scored the most fabulous, vintage dining table for a client. Go often because inventory turns quick here. Another great spot is Cohan's Retreat. This is a spot where multiple vendors sell their wares. You can find everything from fabric to unique accessories. There is also a restaurant located here so grab lunch while you are at it!

Mobile and Birmingham! I have to throw in these two southern cities as well. Not only have a I lived in both places but they also have some great shops that are must sees if you are ever in the area. I will start with Birmingham. First stop is Soho Retro This shop is in Homewood and when I lived there I would stop in at least once a week to see if they had gotten new furniture. They had the best mix of vintage and mid century modern furniture and accessories. Circa Antiques and Interiors is next on my list and then the great shops at Interiors at Pepper Place. In Mobile, you must go to Atchisons and Charles Philips.

Other tips and tricks to finding goodies:

Haunt your favorite places! If you like a store and there are multiple vendors, go often. Inventory changes quickly and if there is something you like you better snag it fast!
Check out estate sales and craigslist. Also become friends with real estate agents who might be flipping a house and trying to get rid of lighting fixtures, ect.
Go off the beaten path! Many of my favorite finds have been from going into antique stores in small towns. These usually get overlooked and can be hiding some great treasures. I usually will ride past one, hit the brakes and go back in.
Read other blogs and visit online marketplaces. One great resource, Invaluable, offers collectibles on line. Go read their tips and tricks on Summer Antiquing here.

A light fixture I bought from a team flipping a house. Not sure where I will use it yet, but I had to have it!

I bought this cabinet at Slate but I store all my glass treasures here. I have some brass I bought at Sleepy Poet, crystal I found in Asheville and pieces that have been handed down from family. Always have a place to show off your treasures!

So what are your tips and tricks to finding your treasures? My best piece of advice is to buy things that speak to you. There is nothing better than a collected home!

Show Me Your Shelfie

Recently I was approached by Laurel and Wolf, a great online design service, to show them how I style my Shelfie! I love this project because I love to accessorize and also to collaborate with other design businesses to help you with ideas. In case you all didn't know, I love to add unexpected touches to my design and started with this fabulous brass and glass shelf that I found at Sleepy Poet Antiques here in Charlotte. This shelf was a great buy not only because it was super affordable but also because I can use it in multiple places in my home. These pictures are from my home office but now this shelf is in my bedroom. It is styled totally different but we will leave that to another blog post. Laurel and Wolf provided this awesome plan for styling your shelfie and below is my take on how to make yours POP!

This shelfie POPs with eclectic touches and lots of color. Here are my pics and tricks to help you:

To start, this shelf was originally being used in my home office which has lots of color and unique, eclectic touches. I had to make sure I kept that theme with my shelf design. I added a lamp to the top for more lighting and to bring interest to the top of the shelf as well as my gallery wall.

I then added books and colorful art the top of the shelf. This piece of art was found online on Serena and Lily and is the work of artist Jenny Prinn. I also added books and a decorative plate which was found at Target several years ago. Target is a great place to look because they will often have collaborations with small brands and designers to bring discounted items to their customers. I used the plate and an agate bookend to hold the books together on my shelf.

I love decorating books not only for great reading material but also for accessorizing. My favorite place to get books is Amazon. If you start collecting now, you can have lots of accessories for your shelves as well as coffee tables and entry tables. On top is a glass knot I found at Home Goods, another great place to go for unique and affordable accessories. On the very bottom of the shelf, you can see I repeated the decorative plate as well as a white container I found at the beach.

To me, the secret of a great shelf is to keep the eye interested but also to have something that you can repeat to have symmetry. I loved using the plates because they were different colors but kept the design flowing from top to bottom. Although I used them twice, I changed the placement of them so that the shelf would maintain interest.

So, how do you like my Shelfie? I hope you got some ideas for styling yours at home! My best advice and secret is to start collecting now and always buy what speaks to you. I love visiting flea markets, vintage shops, and Etsy for finds that are unique! What are your secrets to styling your shelves? I would love to hear from you on how you like to style your space.

Art POP!

Hi friends! I have another fun collaboration to share with all of you. Several months ago, Top Art, an art website filled with ready to go art to hang on your walls, contacted me to pick my favorite pieces. After picking my favorite pieces, they sent me one to style to give you all ideas! The painting that I picked is by Michelle Oppenheimer and is called Emerald Flight. The colors in this piece of art are just stunning. Take a look at how I took this painting and styled it with some of my favorite furniture and accessories from Slate Interiors here in Charlotte. When thinking of how to style this piece, my thought was to give it the perfect entry way look. I love how all of this turned out and could even picture this set up in a mid-mod, vintage dining room. Take a look at how it evolved from the beginning to the finished product. Thanks to my great photographer from Smitten and Hooked, too! I could not have captured these beautiful photos without their help!

Coffee Table Pop

Everybody has a coffee table in their living space but a lot of times we get stuck with how to accessorize it! Recently, I was approached by Chairish, an online marketplace to come up with my take on the perfect coffee table styling. If you haven't visited their website, go now! They offer a unique assortment of vintage and eclectic finds from independent sellers and shops. I love haunting this site to see what I can find to truly make a space look special. Take a look to see how I take their gold faux bamboo coffee table and make it POP with fun accessories.

Let's break down these elements of the perfect coffee table styling! First, you have to start with a great coffee table. I found this one on Chairish. What I loved about this table was the gold accents but also the open concept which allows you to really spice it up with fun goodies!

I picture these blue vases placed on either side of the coffee table. I love the color but also love that they give the coffee table interest and height.

Next, I would place this tray in the middle of the table with the brass pineapple, a few colorful Chinese paintbrushes and a Diptyque candle.

On either side of my coffee table, I would place my favorite coffee table books. I love this one by Eddie Ross! Stack them up!

I love this green malachite box and think it would be so pretty sitting atop a pile of coffee table books!

Can you tell I have a thing for blue? This lovely bowl would add interest and color to the bottom of the coffee table.

I don't know about you, but I keep most of my Architectural Digest magazines. Not only are they great reads, but they are also great coffee table pieces. I would stack these on the bottom on all four corners of the table.

This is actually a vintage brooch! Coral and gold are so pretty and I think you could add these on your tray or on top of your magazines and coffee table books. Not only are they pretty, but they are also great conversations starters!

Last but not least, this great overdyed rug is the perfect piece for your now styled coffee table to rest!

Out and About South End

The new Anthroplogie on South Boulevard just opened Labor Day weekend and I could not be more excited and scared all at the same time! Excited because I can literally walk across the street and check out new goodies but scared for my credit card! I stopped by this past weekend and have to share some of the photos I snapped in between trying on outfits. Take a look..

I just loved these emerald green knobs and have to find a DIY project for them ASAP!

And to add a little Fall to my outfits, I was really crushing on this hat.

A New Beginning

This post is bittersweet for me because it's a beginning and end to a chapter in my life. A year and a half ago, I decided to move to Charlotte not knowing anyone but needing a new beginning. I had just been through one of the toughest times in my life and knew I needed to start over. After a good friend of mine called me from my old job telling me there was an opening in Charlotte, I was packing my bags and calling a U-Haul. I had been in Albany while I was trying to decide what to do and had to find a place to live-fast! I finally found a place on Craigslist and begged them to let me move in. After talking to both homeowners, they agreed and I moved to Charlotte at the beginning of December 2013. Scared to death to be by myself and alone in a new place, I tried to stay busy by redecorating my abode. Now after a year and half of living here, I feel stronger and more like me than I have in a while. This place has seen me at my best and my worst. I have loved drinking wine on the porch, meeting new friends here and that it has given me the best gift-a new beginning. As I get ready to embark on a new adventure and new chapter in my life, I wanted to share with you pictures of the place I have called home.

Thank you to Jeff and Lori for letting me call this place home. I have loved every minute of it! Here's to new adventures and new beginnings!

Tickled Pink

Hi friends! Long time, no talkie. This post is has me so excited, though, and I can't wait to share what has been happening in my life these past few months. On October 17, 2014, Irie Anne entered the world at 5 lbs 14 oz big and already full of life! Her life has turned all of ours upside down in a good way and I can't wait for my sister and her family to move closer now that we have a new addition.

I still remember getting the face time call from Ash and Mike when they announced to me that they were expecting! What a rush of emotions! From what will they have, what will they name her and how will it feel to be an aunt, I was so excited and nervous at the same time. Then Ash asked me the most flattering question of all "will you help me decorate her nursery?" I felt so honored to have the biggest and most special project put in my hands. I had to make this room perfect for this little person I had yet to meet. Ash and I started talking and planning to make sure everything was perfect! I am sharing with you today the finished product as well as some precious pictures of Irie Anne. Hope you enjoy!

It all started with a scheme for the color palette. We knew we wanted it to be girly, but also wanted to mix in some unexpected colors. I designed this plan and got to work on finding pieces to make Irie's nursery come together.

We found the crib at Layla Grace, the bed linens at Serena and Lily, and the original art work is by Lulie Wallace and Catherine Jones (@catherinebjones on Instagram). Catherine is a wonderful family friend and so talented!

The rug was found on Ones King Lane and the blanket is a gift from family.

Framed prints were purchased from Etsy and we thought these quotes said it all! My favorite is "And though she be but little she is fierce." If she turns out like Ash, she might be tiny but always feisty! As we all know, the best things come in small packages.

The changing table was purchase from Etsy and painted the custom grey color. The mirror was found on One Kings Lane and the sconces purchased from Ro Sham Beau x.

We couldn't be happier with the glider purchased from Serena and Lily. So comfy! The artwork features angels and is from an artist in Mobile, Al (a gift from one of her special grandmothers).

I think Irie Anne likes her new nursery! This a picture taken a week after her arrival. Now can you see why she has all of us wrapped around her teeny finger?

I got to visit my precious niece last week and fell in love! Aunt Coco can't wait to spoil her rotten and teach her all the ways of the world.

One of my favorites of Ash, Mike and Irie. This captures all of the feelings of welcoming her to this world! Irie Anne, you are one special girl and know you are loved more than the whole wide world! Thank you for letting me decorate your nursery and making me one proud aunt. I will love you always!

Southern Living Idea House... Oh my!!

A few weeks ago a dear friend of mine who lives in LA invited me to attend the opening for the Southern Living Idea House in Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina. If y'all know me this was a no brainer and I jumped at the opportunity to see the ideas of the oh so talented Suzanne Kasler from Atlanta. Let me tell you-it did not disappoint! Not only was the house beautiful but the whole resort was simply breathtaking! Come along and see for yourself from these shots of the gorgeous home!

Domino magazine is the go to resource for eclectic yet well put together interiors. They do a great job at showcasing liveable and stylish spaces. I don't know about you but I was so sad when they decided to close their doors a few years ago. I loved getting their magazine each month and am so excited that they are back and in a big way! Scenes Around Town

Hi friends! Do you remember me? Yes, I know-long time no talkie but I'm back and ready to share some of my new adventures. It's taken me a while because to be honest I haven't felt very inspired but I think I'm "getting my mojo back" as I heard a friend say recently.

This weekend, I went exploring in Charlotte and y'all I'm so impressed! So many cute, fun and beautiful interior decorating stores! My first stop was Circa Interiors. As some of you might know they have a sister store in Birmingham and have such a knack for mixing beautiful French inspired antiques with modern pieces. They are a great source for beautiful pillows, lighting, upholstery and antiques. Here are some pics I took while visiting....

Before we move on to the next store, here is a quote I fell in love with the other day while perusing a new favorite, Emily McCarthy. She has some great paper goods and so stylish! This quote embodies both of these stores.

My next stop was Mrs. Howard and y'all I fell in love! Everything was showcased so beautifully and made me want to go purchase a lottery ticket ASAP! They have a store at ADAC in Atlanta and one in Charlotte. Take a look....

My Latest Travels

Heeelllllooooo! Oh me it has been way too long since I've posted on my blog and it needs some loving! So I wanted to fill y'all in on my latest news and travels. I took a trip to Raleigh earlier this week for a job interview and completely fell in love! Raleigh is so pretty and has so many things to do. Here is a little peak at what I got into while visiting!

First stop on my trip was this fab place for lunch. I googled best restaurants in Raleigh and was so happy to find this hidden gem. I got the arugula salad with grilled pears and goat cheese gnocchi with a sage and butter sauce and mushrooms. Omg-hands down one of the best meals I've had!

Next on my list, Furbish Studio. I have been dying to go here ever since becoming a fan of Jamie Meares' blog, I Suwannee. She has such a knack for mixing patterns and has been featured in several design magazines. Trust me, I was not disappointed in the store. After snatching up a few goodies, I headed to a few more antique stores in the area. Raleigh has lots of treasure finding spots for neat furnishings and one of a kind items.

Some very neat finds. I'm loving this retro bar cart and the gold sconces! Apologies for the cell phone pics but at least you can get the gist of what I'm saying when I tell you "go visit!!"

I finished my day at Poole's diner. I got this yummy salad with roasted Brussels sprouts and pomegranate seeds. I had to have a glass of vino of course to end the day! This place was adorable and packed with locals!

I wrapped up my trip with a visit to my sister, Catharine, in Augusta and found this fabulous store! The store is called "Design Solutions" and is located on Monte Sano road. They had the best selection of beautiful bedding and had me scheming on how to change my own bedroom look! They also carry some great PJ's and I did have to snatch up a pair of the Eberjay PJ's-so comfy!

I had a great trip but it did feel good to get back home! Hope y'all have a great weekend and if you are headed to Raleigh be sure to check out these fun spots!

Pop Pillow Talk!

Who doesn't love pillows? They are the easiest way to change the look of your decor and show your personality. I know I am the world's worst when it comes to having too many pillow options, but who can blame me? Pillows can change the whole mood of a room!! So today, let's have a little pillow talk and take a look at some my new finds that I just know will add Pop! to your space. This great shop, Piper Collection, was discovered during a buying trip to Atlanta last January. Whitney Caudle is the brains behind this cool collection and who would guess- this chick is only 23! Her use of bold colors and funky fabrics are second to none but don't let me persuade you, check them out yourself!

Aren't these great? I think I would use these just about anywhere in my home. Love the way she takes different materials and mixes them together for her pillows.

And the dog, I mean who wouldn't love these pillows after seeing this cutie perched atop one!

These pillows provide just the right amount of masculinity to not scare the boys, but still appeal to us ladies. My fave is the one with the circles-think I might have to have one for my sofa!

Spotlight: Veranda Magazine

I don't know about ya'll but I LOVE getting my monthly design magazines! They are inspiring in so many ways-from entertaining to decorating to travel ideas, I love flipping through the well curated images and text. Today I wanted to spotlight one of my all time faves-Veranda Magazine. Their pictures can't be beat and they have fabulous ideas. Here are some of their highlights...

Their latest issue-beautiful dining area. Love the chairs and how the designer used purple as an accent color. Go buy this issue if you haven't already!!

Simple beauty-love the settee covered in the teal velvet and the use of different blues with the design.

Umm-need I say more? I don't think I would ever leave if this was in my backyard!

Beautiful home with a twist on traditional. See the mint color they used as their exterior paint color? I love this!

This kitchen is great-very unexpected pendant lights with the center island. I like a neutral kitchen but this one puts a modern twist on a stylish set up.

Artwork is key for a great space-I love these pictures about the console and the pattern on the floor. Very eye-catching!

Beautiful entertaining! Not only does Veranda show us great interiors and exteriors-they give us ideas for entertaining as well. Check these drinks out....

Blood orange old fashions for your outdoor soiree! I think I will have one of these tonight!

Bedroom Chic

Today I want to chat a bit about bedroom bliss-decorating the place where you should feel most at peace can be challenging but also so fun! I love mixing a bit of the unexpected in interiors and keeping the bedroom chic yet serene! Here are a few of my favorite bedrooms!

Absolutely love this bed!! I also love how the designer kept the bedding simple but added some whimsy with the palm trees. Simple white bedding with a Pop! of color.

Another example of white with pops of color-and don't you just love the way they painted the windows black? The shape of the window would have gotten lost but they defined it!

This room just screams the beach, Lily Pulitzer, and fun pink cocktails!

Simple, yet pretty. Black and white is always a fave of mine!

This bedroom was recently featured in Elle Decor for its mix of patterns. I just love the way this designer thought outside the box and mixed fabrics!

To me-this is all about the headboard! Love the canopy of fabric!

And another design I would love to see at the beach! Orange takes this room from drab to fab!

And now to my room! This bedroom suite was in my cute little apartment in Birmingham, but now has a new home in my fiance's guest room. Please ignore the carpet-we are hoping to put in some hardwoods! My goal with this room was to mix patterns and color. It is still a work in progress but I love it! Hope ya'll have fun creating "Bedroom Chic" rooms!

Hello friends! I am finally back from my whirlwind week! It has been crazy! From my bachelorette party, to Atlanta to find some pretties for my booth, to Highlands, NC for some more wedding planning, I am pretty pooped! But in spite of all that, I felt like the blog needed some lovin. So here is a little snapshot of the weekend with some fun market finds to boot!

Okay-so here is my bachelorette gettup for the weekend! Yes, and I did wear it out Saturday night! Haha! We had so much fun! I feel so blessed to have such special friends and my two great sisters to share in the fun weekend. Now on to the goodies I found for my booth!

Great mirrored tray! I am loving it on my ottoman so it is going to be hard to part with it, but it would look great on a coffee table, vanity, or entyway. You could even use it on one of those fun bar carts I have been spotting on Pinterest.

I have a pair of these lovelies covered in the best gold-metallic leather. They are super fun and I think they would look great just about anywhere. The pillows are also part of my finds and there are two of them as well. I fell in love with the orange and pink ikat on them. So great!

And this mirror-FABULOUS! That is all I can say about it. I just love it and really want to keep it for my own, but I guess I do need to put it in my booth! I will be putting all of these treasures at Five Gold Monkeys in Mobile, Al in August but if you want to snag them before then, message me.

Bachelorette Week....End!!

I'm getting ready to leave for my Bachelorette weekend! Woohoo! Here is what's ahead for the week...

A trip to Hotlanta to visit my good friend Kate and do some shopping at Scot's!

Then headed over to Lake Oconee for some R & R and bachelorette weekend fun! We are planning to get lots of sun, drink some fun drinks and visit Reynold's Plantation for dinner. I can't wait!

Will definitely have one of these frosty concoctions in hand during the weekend fun!

After all that bachelorette fun, my mom and I are headed to Old Edwards in Highlands, NC for some more wedding planning!

Pendant Lights!

Pendant lights, so many options! Today I wanted to take a look at all of the fun ways you can use them and some of the ones you can find to buy for your home.

These lights look perfect over the bar. They are made from a shiny metal and they look great in this space.

These pendant lights come from a shop in Atlanta called Pieces and retail for $1395 a piece. They are made from a vine basket. I love the way they used them in the bedroom!

This one, made from glass, would look great in the bathroom above a vanity or also in the kitchen. So pretty!

Love this extra large one over the island!

And then there are these great lights from yours truly! These are made from old chicken baskets and are so neat. I love them above a kitchen table, as lighting in an outdoor space or above a bar. These retail for $250 each. Message me for details!

Can't believe it's already June 12th! This week has been crazy! Yesterday, my fiance took some time off work so we could make some more fun mirrors and today I'm going to go get my booty kicked with a new friend of mine in Mobile at an outdoor boot camp! Whew! I might not be able to write once I get back, so I decided to go ahead and post some fun design inspiration for today plus some pics of my living room redo.

When I decorate, I take inspiration from lots of magazines plus some favorite designers I follow. The key to me is to not get bored! I love a classy, eclectic interior. I don't know about you but I have to have something in the room that peaks my interest and for me that is adding Pops! of color. I tend to get neutral furniture and then add punch with pillows and fun accessories. Take a look at some of my inspiration and what I have done to turn a bachelor pad into a fun living area (where I envision lots of wine will be sipped).

I love this scene-clean settee with fun and funky pillows! Plus I love the collection of coffee table books perfectly positioned.

This picture is from Furbish studio in Raleigh, NC. I am DYING to go here because I love the way Jamie Meares decorates. She is fearless with her mix of patterns and gets quite a reaction from the way she can mix color. She was recently featured in Southern Living Interiors Magazine. I take inspiration from her because she started doing what she truly loves to do (decorate) after she quit a big time corporate career. Go Jamie! Check out her blog I Suwannee.

These two rooms really capture mixing fabrics as well, adding fun artwork, and taking advantage of some great spaces.

Now, on to my room. If you could have seen this room before I walked onto the scene, you would think this is a major transformation! Just imagine a room with a pool table, hunting trophies all over the walls and lots of beer drinking! If I can find some before pics, I will definitely post but for now, here is the creation I'm working on.

Pop! Adds Lighting

Alright, I have been thinking of other ways to add Pop! to your life and what better way than a great light. Light adds pop in so many ways. I don't know about you, but I would much rather have a pretty lamp or chandelier than bright ceiling lights any day. Lamps and chandeliers come in so many different styles, colors, and sizes. Picking out a lamp to add pop to your space really can make or break a room. Speaking of which, take a look at the newest addition to the products we are selling at Pop!. These lights are made from old chinese chicken baskets. These baskets would keep the chickens contained while at the market. I saw them a few months ago and thought they would make the best lights! Take a look at the finished product. I am really excited and think they would be so fun in so many different areas of your home. If you are interested in purchasing, just send me a message!!

I have a pair ready for a good home or they can be sold separately. Also, the length of the chain used to hang the lights can be changed depending on the height of your ceilings. Use these to make your rooms Pop!

Beach Bum

Hello! I've been spending some time at the beach this week and boy has it been fabulous! The weather has been great and the food delicious. It's been a nice, relaxing week as well, which is just what I needed. I found a cool new food spot and also some great design stores while I've been here.

This new restaurant, called aptly "The Gulf "was designed out of shipping crates. What an ingenious idea! There are three that have been put together to form this really cool conceptual restaurant. The other neat thing is if they ever need to move, they just have to pack their stuff in the crates and ship to the next destination. We enjoyed blueberry mojitos and really yummy ceviche. They have a lounge set up in the back, so we dined alfresco with our feet in the sand.

Then today, I decided to check out some of the design shops to see what I could find. This store, M2, has the chicest beach decor I have found in the area. Check out some of the neat things I found.

I could definitely use the white and gold painting, this neat rattan side table and some aqua accessories to "beachify" my place. Hope everyone is having a great week and has at least one beach excursion planned this summer.

Pop! Does Decor

Hello friends! Hope everyone is getting ready for a fun-filled weekend. I want to show ya'll the latest in my recent projects. My fiance is a great hand-man and helped me build this awesome reclaimed wood mirror. Doesn't it look cool? The wood is from an old barn in Alabama and I can make the mirrors to order so if there is a particular size you are wanting, let me know. The one shown below measures 37"long X 32" tall. I think it would look great as pictured below or you could use a couple stacked on top of one another. I also put it above the fireplace just to give you some more ideas! If you have questions, message me!!

Scott's Antiques Buying Trip!

Have you all ever been to Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta? I absolutely love going because you can find everything from upholstery to french buffets to shabby chic pieces. There is something for every part of your house. I love to go and get ideas even if I'm not looking for something in particular. Here are just a few of the eclectic pieces I found at this month's show. If you want to check it out, they hold the market the second weekend of every month. Let me know what you think of these pieces!

This is an old ceiling tile in the middle with lots of little tiles surrounding it. Would look great above a fireplace or grouped together as a shabby chic headboard.

I fell in love with this mirror so much so that I went back to Scott's on Sunday to see if it was still there. I should have snatched it up Saturday because it was gone Sunday by lunch! I think this mirror would look great in a bathroom, above a fireplace, in an entryway or dining room. Who doesn't love a pretty mirror?

These doors were fabulous!! I couldn't afford this blue one but if I could, I would have grabbed it! Decorative pieces like these can have so many uses to add punch in your home. I love the colors and character that they give to a space.
