Forza Motorsport 4 is AMAZING!

This weekend I had the chance to play the Forza Motorsport 4 Demo and may I say the whole game itself is beyond mind blowing. The graphical interface system and lighting along with car physics are completely redone and have much better of a feel. I used the Ferrari 458 Italia in this

LT+2.0 Is close to DONE | and some updates about me

Hello everyone,
As of today C4eva the creator of iXtreme firmware for the Xbox 360's drives to enable the playing of backups of video games also known as burned games has confirmed earlier in IRC that LT+2.0 will be due "Soon" along with an ABGX360 update and Xbox Backup creator update to burn the games. The new firmware will support LT-MAX which will allow playing of XGD3 media!

LT+2.0 IS ALMOST HERE!

The anticipation of LT+2.0 is rising every so slightly as some owners of consoles are eager to play backups of games with XGD3 protection. The custom firmware for drives is almost done and has been tested by its maker "c4eva" and has confirmed from his blog that the firmware is running correctly and safe for LIVE.

From his IRC chat
"[2011-09-29 10:28PM UTC] #fw <c4eva> xgd3 backup is as safe as any backup can be,passing all their checks"

Meaning folks the new firmware will be output any moment now once he finalizes the firmware for the and Samsung drives. Of course we will have to use a new version of ABGX360 and use Xbox Backup Creator instead of imgburn but we have confirmed hope now.

The following is a guest post by Stephen Toulouse

Hi everyone, Stephen Toulouse here, "Stepto" on Xbox LIVE and the weekly Major Nelson Radio podcast. Most of you know me as the head of the Policy and Enforcement team for Xbox LIVE.

As I have noted many times on the podcast, the enforcement team exists to help protect the LIVE experience. One of the ways we do that is to prevent consoles from accessing the service that are involved in bad behavior such as cheating, fraud, running unauthorized software on the service, or playing illegitimate copies of games (to name a few). For the vast majority of our actions, our team reviews a lot of data, examines the behavior, and then we take action. In some cases, very rarely, we use software features on the Xbox itself to help us take action.

Recently, it was brought to our attention that a number of customers had concerns about the validity of a recent ban of their individual consoles, which they feel had been triggered inaccurately. In this case, the bans were related specifically to modded consoles. I take these claims very seriously, and after an initial investigation we have confirmed that a handful of banned consoles did in-fact appear to not have been modified or tampered with. We’re still conducting our review but the cause appears to be a software issue, not an error on the part of the enforcement team’s normal actions. It’s very specific and occurred between August 29 and September 9, affecting a very small percentage of users.

One of the most serious actions my team can take is to prevent a console from accessing Xbox LIVE. We make every effort to be conservative when taking that action. If there is any doubt that this step was taken incorrectly, we want to address it while at the same time protecting the service for our customers.

Therefore, while we are still conducting a thorough investigation, the enforcement team is taking the step of reversing the bans for the tiny set of impacted consoles in that time period. Again, while it’s an extremely small percentage of impacted consoles, the good news is that we know exactly which ones. If you believe you are affected, simply try to reconnect your console to Xbox LIVE. If it cannot still connect, that console was not a part of this issue.

Within a few business days, we will issue the primary account holder on the impacted console a credit for three months of Xbox LIVE Gold and 1600 Microsoft points. Since we know exactly who is affected, those customers do not need to take any action. Everything will be applied automatically. No keys or tokens to redeem, no other action to be taken.

I’d like to take a moment to personally apologize for the inconvenience this has almost certainly caused to the affected customers. You have my assurance that we are investigating how this error occurred and have since discontinued use of the software that was used. The Xbox LIVE community is the best out there and we regret the inconvenience this may have caused for our loyal members.

Gears of War 3 TOMORROW!

The anticipation of many shall be over once one of this years Blockbusters released worldwide tonight at 12:00AM. Gears Of War 3 one of the most anticipated games from game studio "Epic" has ever produced will be public tonight!

People with modified consoles will have to wait for
iXtreme LT+2.0 to run this game properly if you burn it since it does have the XGD3 format on it. Although if you buy it and are using LT+1.91 or higher you will be able to use it.

High hopes for this game looking forward to this release been a long time Gears of War fan!

Microsoft Windows 8 Developers Build officially released!

Among one of the hot topics this week in technology is Microsoft Windows 8. The Developers version has been released to the public for evaluation, bug testing, and improvement. This marks a significant road in Windows 8's progress towards becoming an official RTM/OEM product.

We can already expect the following from windows 8

Xbox LIVE integration
Exclusive touch screen integration
Windows LIVE ID linking to user accounts
Application marketplace
Faster boot times and improved security

All of this can already be expected and this is only the developer stage still. The current build out is "8102" any other build than this for public developer may not be real.

Console BANS! | The Wave of Sadness

Ok, within these past 3 weeks there has been higher than normal console ban activity.

It is apparent and much obvious now the XBLET (Enforcement team for Xbox LIVE) are on a Ban spree/wave. If you have done any of the following you have a high chance right now for facing a console ban.

Participated in modified lobbies.
Hosted infection for COD
Used the free G.O.D. Method
Used ISO mods
Illegitimate license transfers
Signed into LIVE using old drive firmware
Spoofed your DVD drive from one model to another

Consoles of this moment have been banned for that but are not limited to.

If you have been console banned, please don't harass the enforcement team as this will only anger them further and result in more bans.

If you have done any of the following please I recommend you stay off of LIVE until this resides.

Concerning the Recent bannings!

Hello everyone! The past month some of you may have been profile banned or Console banned due to using the G.O.D. Glitch or Free DLC. Well MicroSoft has caught on and is actively banning users for this. Like with everything not properly made for the Xbox 360 Modifying the System may result in a ban and I always emphasize that.

If you received and email like below then you were caught using free Games on Demand or DLC. Free DLC can be counted as using illigitimate License transfers to grant access to DLC to not pay for it.

The only thing you can do is create a new profile and not use this method of games again.

You must remember at the time this was developed MS was not monitoring this and was not banning for it. And along with No one is responsible for your banning from modding but yourself.

XGD3 Will not stop pirates | First XGD3 games emerge

Welp, The anticipation of XGD3 or known as Xbox game disc version 3 is making its way into the retail market for Xbox 360. Originally Microsoft composed this Disc to cut down on piracy adding an additional 1GB of Boot sector data and other security needs to try and prevent piracy.

The only games using XGD3 are.
Dead Island (Not all Copies only some)
Driver: San Fransisco.
Halo Reach (Only uses XGD3 if you obtained it from the BETA dashboard testing)

Microsoft claiming this is a huge leap for developers as it allows an additional 1GB of data on a standard Dual layer disc. There has been much speculation and rumor wether or not XGD3 games would be triple layer, the simple answer is no. Not only would triple layer be more expensive but the Xbox 360 drive could not support it.

If you have a flashed Console the creator of the iXtreme firmware c4eva is currently testing and building LT+2.0 which will allow support of burned copies of games using XGD3. If you are currently using LT+ 1.91 you can boot XGD3 games ONLY If they are store bought.

Also, there has been rumors of being flagged for playing an XGD3 disc at this time on whether you can be banned or not. Nothing of this has been confirmed time will only tell
