Motorola has launched their new Android phones, Motorola FIRE XT and Motorola FIRE in India. The Motorola FIRE XT has 3.5 inch touch screen display and the Motorola FIRE has QWERTY keyboard along with a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen. Specs are below.

Nokia announced the Nokia 500, their first 1GHz Symbian Anna smartphone. This new phone is based on the current C5-03, with a few minor tweaks and improvements. Nokia will launch the black version in Q3, while the white version will come sometime in Q4.


With the faster processor and Symbian Anna, we can expect a much better multimedia experience. The 500 will also feature exchangeable back

Ovi Maps 3D is now enhanced with C3 Technologies. It took hardware originally used in missile guidance systems and adapted it to photography to capture extremely accurate 3D images. The company has partnered with Nokia to deliver the first usable version of its mapping data with Ovi Maps 3D, which currently features 20 cities waiting to be panned and zoomed through in three dimensions.

Apple launched the iPad 2 last week with more modifications and upgrades(at the same price of iPad 1). The iPad 2 will come in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models. There's AirPlay and AirPrint, which lets users stream media and print documents wirelessly. Also, FaceTime makes its first appearance on the tablet ,so you can video chat using an iPad 2 as well. The Android 2.3 OS or so called Gingerbread user guide is now available. You can go ahead and download the full users guide from Google Mobile’s support page right now. Click here to download the user guide.
According to few sources, Google may release gingerbread for Christmas.
