Bipolar Weather

Seventy degrees one day, and fourty something degrees the next. Bipolar weather is a pain. Literally it is not healthy for those of us with Fibromyalgia and arthritis. Our bodies are not made for such weather fluxuations. Our blood doesn't know whether to thicken, or thin. One day we're wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts, the next, we have our parkas back on. At times it fluxuations from hour to hour. Spring has sprung, but it's more like spring, summer, winter weather. Mother nature is really bipolar this year. The scientists say it's due to polar vortex. Yes, well, I like to call it bipolar weather. Vicious winds that cut through you like a sharp knife, and when the sun comes out your hopes rise and you think, yes, she's warming up! Then, the clouds roll in and the chill comes back. Please Mother Nature, we are ready for warm days and lots of nice sunshine. Light breezes and and beautiful days. Calm down Mother Nature and be sweet. Our bodies are ready for feeling good and our emotions are pleading for light and happy days.

Alone

ALONE
We are alone in this life most times. Alone with thought, feeling, with pain and strife. Alone to worry, ponder and pray. Alone in a crowd, with lots to say. We travel this road a of life alone, always seeking, searching,and striving to find. Happiness within, without, and more. We are alone inside our minds, our bodies, our thoughts alone. No one really knows what's going on. Unless they're you and you alone. We can talk, explain, and feel inside, but alone we'll be till the day we die. God is near, and even ABIDES. Only he knows what behind our smiles will hide. He will abide, yes he will live inside. Until we die. But human wise with others we will cry. Alone, alone, alone in life. By Pamela Bunta

Super Bowl Sunday 2015 Pam's Comments

I am actually going to watch the game for the first time this year. I am excited!

For those of you who have always loved the sport, I know you are super pumped to see this game.
It should be a good one for the two teams are very talented in their own ways. I look forward to the half time show, and commercials each year. (That and the commercials were all I used to watch) Wink!

I am making Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip. My recipe will have cream cheese, Frank's Hot Pepper Sauce, Ranch dressing, and cheddar cheese. It is delish!

May the best team win!

Love Life

Life is so short. Days can seem so terribly long at times. January seems very long to me. But now it is almost over.

When I was in my teens and twenties I thought I would never get old. I just disqualified the notion. Most young people do.
But I am here to tell you, you just turn around and you are 40, 50, and wondering what happened?

This post is about appreciating each day of our lives. I know it's difficult at times when things are not going well. Still, there is always tomorrow, and hope, as long as we are breathing.

So, as much as is possible, take life one day at a time and do what makes you happy. Work smart, play a lot. Even while raising children, have your fun, and then family fun. Whether it is a date night, vacation, or doing something simple such as time at a park, zoo, fishing or swimming.

You will be so glad you did. You can't recall time, so do things now.

The golden years are not always golden, healthy, or possible.

Loving life gives you freedom to enjoy life. Your goals will become brighter and fulfilling when you enjoy your life. In your youth, you can make the changes that you need to accomplish your goals. The sky is the limit!

I wish I could go back as many people my age wish also. We would have made better decisions, reached for the sky, and made the most of each day.

So off you go, loving life, living life to the fullest!

The Cold Wind Blows

There's a cold wind blowing, and it chills me to the bone. My heart is empty, without you by my side.
I feel the chill and there is no place else to hide, and the cold wind blows
I need you here, to warm me.
I need your loving arms around me. You could melt me with your smile.
But the cold wind blows, and there's no where to go,
No place that I can find you. I really need to find you....
You told me that I was the sunlight in your eyes, You said you'd never be the one to make me cry.
But now you're gone, and I feel that i might die, without you, without you....
and the cold wind blows, I am ice and I am stone. Thoughts of you they soothe my soul.
Why am i so all alone? While a north wind... chills me to the bone.
But the cold wind blows. And my heart is made of stone. I am naked and exposed. Left alone, and no one's home. While the cold wind blows.

I hope my follower enjoy it. Oh yes, I was grieving and inspired. But happy days are here again, although I am never a fan of winter. Blessing to all!

MLK Day 2014

Hi everyone. Again, it has been a while since I have been blogging. Due to illness this winter. i am back at it once again and have many new ideas and experiences to share with you.

Today is MLK Day and I have to say what an honorable man! He has been the inspiration and given us all hope for peace, love, fairness, and freedom from the awful racism that has been going on way to long in our country and the whole world! Dr. Martin Luther King was truly a man of God. I believe God used him to send a great message that will ring through all generations throughout all time. Freedom is for all men and women children and babies of all races, nationalities, all peoples.

God created us all in His image and has never had a respecter of persons. God tells us to love others as we love ourselves, plain and simple. We are the human race! Black, yellow, red, white,and any other color. Our colors all of them, make us unique and beautiful. Our hearts can be full of hate and ugliness, or love and peace.

I pray we live each day as brothers and sisters, as human beings who teach our children there is no difference in people because of the color of their skin. That love is the key to peace and no one is better than the other. We live in a dangerous world and we need to come together in love and pull together to stop the evil of hate in the world.

Al people can choose to be good or bad no matter what color of the skin. Once this reality is realized we can stop pointing fingers in division of races.

I have learned so much in the last few months about people. i am so thankful for the wonderful man that came into my life. Kilby, who is American, of African American decent. He and his family are wonderful people! What we have in common is a grandmother of his, was mostly Irish, and a grandfather mostly, or all, American Indian. These two nationalites are also my ancestors. And we have love! :) I love this beautiful handsome sweet man!

My meeting and enjoying his beautiful, wonderful family has opened my eyes to both the prejudices still alive in America, but how easily these are broken down when we get to know each other and give love a chance.

I hope this touches your heart today and you as well as I have, will let go of any prejudice you have learned from society and join in Martin Luther Kings great dream, and love your neighbor as yourself. Heaven will be full of all the peoples here on earth. This makes me smile. Wouldn't it be nice to have some Heaven on earth also?

Short's General Store

The weather couldn't be better here in Missouri the last couple of weeks. We are having a wonderful Indian summer.

I am being nostalgic today, so I thought I would tell you about my grandpa's General Store. It was known as "Short's Store". I loved going there as a kid it was there as long as I could remember. The store was attached to my grandparents house by a breezeway, kind of a sitting area, like a small sun room. My grandparents loved working in their store, and worked seven days a week. Grandpa and grandma always dressed nice to go to work everyday. Grandpa wore dress pants a nice shirt and a western tie everyday. Grandma always had a nice casual dress on. They both worked real hard running their store, working the cash registers, the lunch meat counter, pumping gas, mostly grandpa did that, and grandpa had a butcher area in the back where he ground his own beef and cut up the meat for the store. They always had a couple of gals working there to. The store had old wooden floors, counters with canned goods, breads, candy, penny candy, chips, toiletries, frozen food cases, clothing, cloth and sewing needs, shoes, fruits and vegetables, a big soda case, tobacco, and on holidays, they had all the extras.

Holidays were extra special in the store, Easter baskets full of goodies for sale, watermelons on the 4th of July and fireworks, Christmas, Halloween, and what was left over from those holidays the family would get to enjoy it.

Grandpa and grandma delivered groceries to people who couldn't come get them, they had running tabs for folks, credit back then. The store was always a buzz with people coming and shopping, salesmen selling to grandma and grandpa, people hanging out and visiting while drinking a soda pop. There was marking the groceries as they came in, cleaning produce as it came in, cleaning every crook n cranny daily, along with cleaning that lunch meat area and the butcher area. They even sold kerosene.

Back in those days there weren't many grocery stores around, and the closest bigger town was about 5 miles away. people really used these general stores for their shopping.

When we were little one of my favorite memories of that store was when we would go visit. Grandpa would give us a little brown grocery bag and let us fill it up with penny candy. Now that was a treat!

My grandparents were so loving and fun! Beyond the grocery store, in their home, we had big family dinners, and grandma could really cook! If they needed anything they would just walk over to the store and get it. we had all the food, treats and really anything we wanted. now back in those days that was a big deal because it was like being with rich grandparents.
Now , mind you they did well, but were not rich, but in our eyes they were.

The community were very fond of my grandparents and to this day people still remember Short's General Store.

Last Day of Summer 2014

Wow! It's the last day of summer? Now where did the summer go? I bet you hear that a lot! probably you think it and say it too! Summer always goes by too fast for me.

When I was a kid it went by too fast, and then school started. As a young adult I tried to get all the gusto I could out of summer, camping, fishing, swimming, barbeques, picnics, and with my kids of course. At a later part of my younger adult life, I worked a lot so summer was work, work, go hang out with my sister in her pool, work some more.

Then as a disabled adult, i just enjoy sitting in the sun, swimming, seeing the sun shine,hearing the birds sing, watching my grand children play, taking nice summer rides, barbeques, visiting with friends or family, and not freezing and hurting so bad in my joints.

But the last day of summer is like the last scene in a good love story. Fall is pretty for maybe 5 days? But for me the cooler weather, shorter days, and less sunshine,is reminder of getting older, like the fall in my life now. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy, and glad for each day. But my body gets these aches and pains in the fall, and I suppose that is why I dread the cooler weather, the end of summer coming and knowing it's new arrival will be several months away.

So I am going to enjoy today, and say good bye to my bestie, summer, until we meet again, Lord willing. It has been a wonderful summer this year, meeting new friends, a new love, and settling in a new apartment with a marvelous swimming pool, that I enjoyed tremendously. The days were warm, but not extremely hot here, and I have been feeling good!

Good Day To Blog

Another beautiful day in the neighbor hood. Warm weather, Relaxing Saturday, time spent with my sweet grand daughter and my daughter. Nothing like a sweet 4 year old to brighten my day. We watched the movie "The Croods" ate popcorn, and drank Koolaid. A trip to the local park gave us some much needed fresh air.

Now at home, I am on my computer, after watching "Hell On Wheels" my favorite Saturday night program with my sweetie. I am computing and watching TV at the same time.

In my late 50's brings an easy going life. Disabled, so the demands are minimum, I find enjoyment in simpler things more than I did when I was younger.

The world out there is becoming more dangerous each day. People killing one another, terrorists threats, disease and poverty are rampant. God helps us all!

A precious little boy named Super Sam passed away 2 days ago. He touched the lives of so many people with his courage, wisdom, love, and did I mention bravery? his smile lit up my heart and I did not know him personally, his life spoke volumes to young ad old. I am praying for his loved ones because the hole left in their lives will not be filled. But Super Sam is in the Heaven we all dream of, with no pain, running free and never to be sad or sick again.

A Beautiful Day

Today has been the most beautiful day in a long time. Perfect fall weather and sunshine.

My heart is saddened though from the loss of a sweet little boy we all called Super Sam. He was an inspiration to thousands of people. He lost a long battle with cancer today. He had such a sweet spirit, strength of heart, and gentleness through the fight..he touched so many lives and inspired us all! He is in the loving arms of Jesus now, running in such beauty we can not fathom in our mortal minds, and the pain is gone. His parents, sister, and so countless many will miss him and have to go through the long road of grief. But Sam made some of his decisions about living and dying with such brilliance and love, that his memory will have treasures of sweetness to bring smiles to those who loved him.

As fall is progressing, it always makes me think of the fall in our lives. I am there now, and daily i love to laugh and seek happiness above all else. The most of my years are behind me, and sometimes it's hard to believe how fast they have passed. Being happy is the best way we can spend our lives if possible. We won't always have lots of money or material things. But if we cherish our children, grand children, pets, sunshine, the comfort of our homes, simplicities that make us smile. We will find something to be happy about every day.

I am so thankful for Facebook, and it's enjoyment. I love my friends there, and what a wonderful way to keep up with family! music to soothe the soul, groups with the same interests as I have. Laughter and funnies that can' be found anywhere else. Thank you Facebook!

Friday evening and around the world we are all living different lives. Doing different things, in different cultures. So vastly apart by miles and space, but drawn together by love and good will.

It Has Been a Long Time

Hi. Well I don't really know where to begin.... My husband and I finally went to Florida for 4 months. Blissful, happy, beautiful time there. His liver disease progressed, and on June 26, 2013 he lost the battle. I shipped his body back to Missouri, packed our things and pulled a camper full of my belongings back to Mo. I had a Superman Themed funeral for him, and he is placed in a Catholic cemetery in his home town. I moved in with family to try and get my barings, while grieving my sweet Johnny, my rock. My daughter, son in law and 4 yr old grand daughter were the closest to John and I, so we moved in a nice new home and lived together for almost a year., During the fall and winter I grieved hard and nearly lost my mind. I was very ill to top it all off. I considered suicide, but my grand daughter kept me going. Eventually we had to move in our own homes, we just did not see eye to eye any longer. I moved into a very small apartment.

I met a wonderful African American man who is also my age and disabled. He is so sweet, funny, helpful and loving. We now live together and help each other. We are very happy! John did not want me to be alone, and begged me to move on if he was to pass away before I did. I know he is happy for me......

On the other hand, certain family members are against my decision. it is a shame that they can't get past the differences. We are all human beings. We love each other and love sees no color.

I thought I had lost my passwords to my blog...but I am so thankful I finally remembered them.

Thanksgiving Week

Here we are in the week of Thanksgiving! One of my favorite holidays! My husbands 2 sisters went all out and bought us a grand Thanksgiving meal from The Cracker Barrell Resturant! Our fave! God bless them! We don't know how we will feel from day to day, so we can't make definite plans to get with family, and that is why his lovely sister's did this for us. They are precious! We also got a 100 dollar gas card for early Christmas gift. What a wonderful surprise!

I am thankful for so many things, that is would fill a book! My family and friends! My warm home and car, pets, food, clothing, medicine, and I could go on and on.....God knows my heart. I am thankful for his son Jesus and for saving my soul from sin.

Israel is having to defend herself from Hamas as I write this. my heart goes out to the innocent people being affected by this turmoil. God always backs Israel, who are his chosen people. They win because of this. They can not stand back and be bombarded by missiles from their enemies. They must fight back! May God have his way. Please pray for the people.

I am enjoying our little puppy, Molly. We take her to the dog park several afternoons a week. She has so much fun running with the other doggies. It gets my hubby and I out of the house too. She is a ball of white, soft fur. She is a sweetie, and loves attention like a little kid. lol.

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving wherever you are! I pray for those who don't have food and shelter. I pray we can all reach out to someone this Thanksgiving, and make a difference in a life.

Jesus is coming back soon to take his bride, the church, home! What a glorious day that will be! I Thought of this as I looked at the half moon tonight, and watched beautiful white clouds sweep by it. I thought of Heaven, and the angels, and most of all of God. He is infinite and all knowing.

Living Cheap

Hi everyone! Well so much happens in such a short time in life! Wouldn't you agree? Today I would like to say " Praise The Lord from whom all blessing flow!" Today is the Lord's day and I am rejoicing in his merciful grace and salvation of souls through the blood of Christ, who died on the cross in our place. Amen! Asking Jesus into your heart is the way you become saved for eternal life with the Lord, in Heaven, when you die, or become Raptured.

I have had some miraculous answers to prayer since I wrote my last blog entry. We have been in much need of money, and we were blessed with $350.00 extra dolloars unexpectedly this month, that kept our electric from being shut off. Also, I have been praying for a free doggie, and that John would agree to. God does everything better than we can imagine.....I happened to be looking on Craig's list for a nice puppy that someone wanted to give away. I found one! A lady gave me a Morkie, which is a Maltese and Yorkie mix. She is white on her body, and cream colored on her ears. She just turned 5 months old, and her name is Molly. She came with her food, 3 beds, 2 blankets, collar, leash, crate, toys, water and food bowls, potty pads and a tray for them She is up to date on her shots, and she goes on the piddle pads, and or outside, which makes it good for us in case the weather gets snowy or icy, or in cas we are ill and can not take her outside. She goes outside also, which gets me out of the house and moving more. Thank you Lord for your love to me and our puppy. PTL!!!

I have really gotten into the Cheapskate websights lately. I am always trying to find new ways to save money. Aren't we all? The holidays are coming soon, and there is always room somewhere to save. I want to share some of my ideas with you, and direct you to some sights that teach more about ways to save money. Please share your thought on this and any other subject.

　

The best way to survive is by asking God to provide for you. He will!

Also cooking at home can save you lots of money. Freeze what you don't use, and save money! Freeze y6our own ice if you don't have and ice maker. Turn all lights off in the rooms you are not using. Unplug appliances that are not in use, and watch your electric bills drop. Freeze fruits or vegetables that may go bad before you use them.

Soups are a cheap way to eat. Make home made soups with stew meat, beef bone, or chicken. Use a can of mixed vegetables, beef broth, tomatoes chopped up, or what ever you woul like. It can fee you or your family for a few meals. Ham and beans are an excellant meal, make some corn bread to go with them, and have a pickle and onion on the side. Yum! Yum! If you have any leftover, you can eat it, or make refried beans with them.

Clothing from Good Will is nice because it has been tested and weathered to show it's strength. I like it because you can afford name brand clothing from Good Will or other thrift stores. Shoes are already broke in, and clothing fits better when it has been broke in also. Usually you can purchase items that are lightly used or brand new. Thrift stores are the new department store. You will be surprised what you can save by shopping at these bargain stores. the Dollar Tree and Dollar General are excellant stores to visit! they carry many items that are needed for everyday use and holidays at less than half the price of other stores.

Now to talk about the tragedies left from Hurricane Sandy. It breaks my heart to see fellow Americans is such dire need of basic items. Food, clothing, electricity, homes, and worst of all, loss of lives. It turned the hands of time back for millions with basic needs not met. Gasoline has become so scarce for heating with genrators, and gas to travel in and around their own neighborhoods.
Please pray for these people, and give to the Salvation Army or the Red Cross in your area...We must reach out to our fellow Americans at this very difficult time. Remember, It could be your neighborhood, your home loss, your relatives in need someday.....

So during this month of Thanksgiving, let's give. Give love, hugs, food, clothing, money, anything you feel your friends, relatives, or neighbors need, and give as unto the Lord

If we would help each other, the needs of our world could be met.

Late Night Chatter

Two weeks until the presidenial election. Can you believe it? The last four years have flown by. My husband and I will be voting for Romney/Ryan. We feel that they will be good for America. They believe in God, Country, the people, jobs, a strong military, friends of Israel, and will make good leaders under any circumstance.

I couldn't fall asleep tonigh from jus thinking about so many things. First I said some prayers, and the next thing I knew, I was thinking about this and that. lol. So I decided to work on my new post.

Financially so many people are struggling in this economy. We are for sure! We have cut back on our phones, food, gasoline, electric, clothing, and everything that we possibly could. We are praying everyday that the Lord will show us, and lead us through this tough time. My husband and I are disabled, and on disability. We have had to make some real changes in our lifestyle to make the ends meet, and they still don't. Hospital bills, and certain other bills, have to go to the wayside, or we can't eat, buy our medicines, or have gas to go to our doctors. It's just what it is nowadays. Many are in the same boat as us, or worse. I have been combing through websites on frugality and cheapskate articles and blogs to get ideas on getting by on almost nothing. We were going to give our apartment up and look for a smaller, cheaper one. But hubby decided we will try to stay here if at all possible. It's not a real expensive apartment, and we have a handicap parking spot in front of it, and a walk on level with only one small step. We are trusting God for miracles each month to help us, and He always does.PTL!

Our little bird, Paco is really talking now. He is such a smart tiny bird. We enjoy him so much! His words are, Peekaboo, I'm a pretty boy, I'm a sssssilly bird, the wolf whistle, Bob White whistle, Whipoorwill , and other chatter that we are not sure of yet. He is only about 5 inches long, but great entertainment!

I had a couple of rough weeks with the fibromyalgia and arthritis. everytime a cold front comes in to our neck of the woods I have severe pain. Thank God I am some better now. I am going to a new pain management doctor tomorrow, well, later this morning. lol. I don't like going to new doctors, but, I changed insurances to save money, and now I have all new dr's. Scary. I pray that they will keep my medicines the same as my former Rhuematologist had prescribed. It helped me, and I have terrible side effects from medicines, and it is difficult for dr's to find something that works to kill the pain without causing me more complications from crazy side effects. We'll see....

Looks like we are having a nice fall. Warm weather mostly, which I love. I'm sure we are in for some dips in the temperatures as it gets later in October and into November. But so far, so good!

I found a new show on Discovery channel that I really enjoy. It is called, Alaska, The Last Frontier. It was on last night. The show is about real back country people, who have lived in the rugged back country of Alaska for a few generations now. It is excellant! My other favorites are Cheapskates, on TLC, and Gold Rush, on Friday nights on Discovery Channel. Gold Rush has a brand new season beginning this Friday night. These are reality shows that I can really enjoy!

People are mentioning Christmas already, and I am thinking it is still a long way off. I want to get past Happy Harvest, and Thansgiving, before I get too excited about Christmas this year. I just hope I am able to afford a few gifts this year. I love to give more than anything, and I am praying God will help me with that also. I may try to make some gifts this year.

I am going to see my parents and other family members this weekend. It's been a while, and my dad just turned 81 this week. I just feel that I need see them. They live on a farm and it's refreshing to go home for a visit. I'll get some fresh air, visit with my sister and my mom also. Go to church with them on Sunday and see so many friends and family that attend there also. I need a break, and I will enjoy the leaves changing into their pretty fall colors, I'll see dad's cattle and get some pears from their pear trees. Yum!

My hubby stays home and has a bachelor's life for a couple of days. He'll eat hamburgers, pizza, play on his computer, and watch movies. My Parrotlet will wonder where mommy is. He is my sweetie bird!

I'll try to take some pictures to post here next week sometime. I love to take pictures, although I'm not a real great photographer. But as long as I don't cut off someone's head, it'll do. Ha! Ha!

We watched the debate last night. Biden was so crazy acting, like her was snockered or on speed or something. I mean, he surely can be stupid on his own, but last night took the cake.....Ya gotta laugh! Or you'll cry about it! We are for Romney Ryan. They are true gentlemen! We feel that they are going to be great for leaders of our country.

Hal lindsey is annointed by God to teach the gospel, explain the scriptures and compare today's news to the prophecies of the Bible. I look so forward to Christ's return for his believers, to take us home to be with him in the air. What an awesome day that will be. We will not have any more worries, or illness, fear, and we will be with our Lord in Heaven at last.

Fall

Two posts in a row! Wow! I am breaking my record.lol! I have told my wonderful friends on Facebook and Twitter about my little blog and I am hoping they will find it interesting and add their comments to it.

Our temperatures are swingin around here in St Louis this week. Fall, then Indian Summer and back to fall weather. It's nice and cool mostly! Sweat jacket weather! I love it!!! I still have a big tomato plant surviving on my deck. It is loaded with small green tomatoes. If it stays decently warm through November as predicted, I may just have some fresh tomatoes for Thanksgiving. Or, i may have to bring the poor little things in and let them ripen in the house wrapped in newspaper. That is what we did with our tomatoes when I lived in Northern Idaho back in the late 70's and early 80's. We would pick the tomatoes, wrap them in newspaper, place them in a flat box, and turn them every day or two. We had them through November when there was snow on the ground outside.

Really, I am not much of a gardener now, due to the aches and pains that I live with. But I grew up on a 240 acre farm and dad always grew a huge garden. Us kids would help weed it, and pick the veggies, then help mom clean them and get them ready to can. So I do know how to grow things

I found a Chinese Curly Lucky plant by the dumpster here at our apartment, and it was alsmost dead. I put it in a clear vase filled it with water, and it id beautiful now. I plan to put a Betta Fish in with it and I hear that they are good for the plant.

I have some ground chicken and Amish noodles on cooking for supper. Yes, I am cooking once again. lol. My kids thought I retired from cooking after they left home. I turned 56 in August and began cooking again. It's a miracle! I'm joking. It's because I realized we were spending too much money eating out.

My hubby will feel better if he starts eating at home instead of his fast food addiction to cheese burgers and fries. They are not on his liver and kidney diet. I hope that I can keep the cooking going, and that he (picky eater), will eat it.

I have been reading those Cheap Skate sights on the web and getting alot of ideas on cutting the cost of living down. You never know what I will do next.....Ha! Ha! I am in such a kidding mood tonight. Maybe it is from taking a short walk this evening and breathing all of that fresh air outside.

My dad's birthday is today. I think he is now 81 or 82. He has been blessed with good health and still cuts wood, brush hogs, fixes fence, raises cattle, hunts and fishes, goes to church every time there is a service, and helps mom clean now that he has been retired for a long time. When we talk on the phone, he always tells me what all he is doing, and the thought of it makes me tired. He has always loved working and staying busy. I imagine that is why he is in such good shape. I thank God for my parents, and that they brought me up in a Christian home.

Jesus is coming soon for his wonderful bride, the Church. Every believer will be caught up with him in The rapture. Are you ready? I hope so. If not, have a little talk with Jesus and ask him into your heart today. God bless all who read my blog.

Well Hello! I have been on a hiatis! Just out of comission! I'm back and will try my best to do better with this blog.

I had to let my toto doggie go to another home. He kept snapping at me for no apparant reason. He was very bipolar. The vet. kept telling me it was just the breed. I don't know, but I believe he was part sweetheart and part angry dog! I have a Parrotlet named Paco now. He will only get 7 inches long. He is a sweetie and talks like his namesake, the Amazon Parrot. He is just like a miniature Green Amazon. He is perfect for my apartment living. He is not real loud like most parrots.

My husband John is hanging in there with his liver problems. He had a shunt put through his liver, and that iproved his well being greatly. Modern medicine is marvelous! God is Awesome!

We have really been hit financially with the hospital bills from all of John's stays in the hospital. We are trusting in the Lord to help us through this rough tie. Since we are both on disability, our income is very limited, and adding any extra bills, are just siply out of our reach. If you have any suggestions on how to make a little income online, they would be much appreciated.

Here it is fall already, and I'm still wondering where summer went. I swam alot in our pool here at the apartment complex this summer. It was wonderful! John swam some also. I plan to join the YMCA this fall since I get a free membership with my new health insurance. I still wish we were in Florida instead of St Louis....but I try to be real about it. This is where our family and dr's are, so we are too.

Our grand chilren are growing so fast. Drake is in Kindergarten, Abby is 3 now, drake's little sister Macey is 2 1/2 and Caleb, our youngest is almost 2 1/2. We enjoy our grand babies! They make everyday bright!

We have two little American flags on our deck. I am leaving them up until after the election. John and I are voting for Romney Ryan. We want our country to get back to it's roots in the Constitutionand a stronger military. Also we want people in the White House who are for God and the American people. putting people back to work. I hope everyone goes out and votes Nov. 6th.

I went dumpster diving( I didn't dive in) :D I found so many good things that I could use here at home. Itook all that I don't use and give to others. I wash oit first. Feed My People is a great cause! they help John and I out with food every 2 weeks. I highly recommend giving to them,

Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here once again. I love that holiday! I love to give and be Thankful to God for all he does for me.

Here It is Valentine's Eve!

I have been gone from blogging for quite a while now. My husband, John took a turn for the worst with his liver disease shortly before Christmas and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. He almost died 2 times in January due to a catheter in his lung that got infected. he ended up with sepsis, pneumonia, and an amoeba, which almost killed him. Then kidney failure, and lots of prayer and God gave him miracles and he is home now! We are so blessed and happy!

Since we can no longer move to Florida, I moved us into a lovely apartment in the South County of St Louis. We love it here and it is very lovely! it is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a nice large living room and deck, also storage. We had it painted to our liking and bought new furniture.

The doctors expected my hubby to be back at the hospital by now, but God is keeping him stable

He has lost 77pounds because he can not eat due to thrush he had in the hospital, and his stomach has shrunk. While he was hospitalized the liver team did a transplant workup on him and we found out that if he loses 39 more pounds, he will be eligible for a liver transplant. Yay!.

God is in control!!!!! it has tested my faith, but increased it all the more.

If you have your health, you really do have everything! Happy Valentines Day from our house to yours! Hugs to everyone!!!!!!

11 Days Till Christmas!

Are you ready? That is my question today. How many of you are ready for Christmas 2011?

In this economy, we are still seeing people out shopping this year. I wonder if everyone out there is cutting back on their purchases? I really cut back on mine this year, and survived my shopping. lol. I shopped before Thanksgiving to miss out on all of the crowded parking, malls that are way too hot, and standing in long lines at the check out. Yes, I am showing my age! Ha! HA!
I used to live through the year waiting for the day after Thanksgiving and shopped all the way until Christmas Eve! My children were small then.
Now I am Ga Ga to my 4 grandchildren, and I still buy for my niece. Much simpler!

I encourage my grown kids to make us something, or do something for us, instead of spending lots of money on presents of the commercial sort. I love home made things nowawadays.

My idea of a nice Christmas is going Christmas caroling, attending a Christmas program, spending time with family, and relaxing. Most importantly remembering our Savior, the baby Jesus, and what Christmas is really all about.

NO! I will not say H.H. I say MERRY CHRISTMAS. Without Christ's birth, there would not be Christmas. Now, who in the cat hair ever even thought of leaving Christ out of his own birthday is
Koo-Koo, Koo-Koo.

I want to hear Merry Christmas songs, all day and night long. Yeah buddy!

Christmas is almost Here!

Where have I been? Whew!!!! Too busy and neglecting my blog. I love blogging, but I let my life get in the way too much. I am goin to try to do better!

On the update front....John's liver disease has gotten worse. He had neglected taking his medicine correctly and became jaundiced and swollen with fluid. He was no longer hungry and if he did eat anything, he was immediately full. Now this is a man that was up to 370 lbs and loved fast food and sweets. He started losing weight rapidly, which is what the doctors wanted him to do. But,he was heavy and malnourished! I bought him natural juices and Ensure to get him energized again and it has worked to some extent. The dr. said his liver has regressed and the bile ducts are being destroyed is why he is jaundiced now.

We had finally bought a comversion bus and were very excited about getting down to Florida. We had to put it in the shop immediately over and electrical issue. ( Nightmare,expensive! ) Six weeks later we got it out of the shop and were out nearly 5,500 dollars! there were things still wrong with it, but John could fix them if he were up to it. God still works those miracles! John is feeling strong enough now to do some work to it. We are going to try to sell it. We are on a limited income and can not afford to put any more money in it. We hope someone will buy it who can do the bit of work to it that needs done and enjoy the bus. It is a nice RV.

We have it advertised several places. My niece and her feller is suppose to rent our house by next Friday, so we are on a tight scedule. We are hoping to sell it by then and take off for Florida. Otherwise we will stay in and extended stay hotel until it gets sold and then go to Florida, Lord willing. John's doctor says we should go now if we are going, because his liver could get bad quickly. It is very unpredictable.
My arthritis and fibromyalgia is acting up in this cold weather. I am on a lot of strong medication. We hope Florida climate will help both of us and we will have to be near good hospitals down there.

My daughters husband left her again. Oh yeah, she went back to him once more! He is so messed up on drugs and alcohol that he doesn't treat her or the baby right. If you are reading this, we need a miracle here!
If you would join me in praying for them, I would sure appreciate it. They can't even afford Christmas again this year. It is a mess.

I haven't decorated for Christmas for the first time in years, due to the fact that we are packing to move.
I have taken my grand daughter that lives close by looking at Christmas lights. She is 2 years old and can really talk. :) She is very smart and loves the "yights" lol. We have fun and she is so sweet. My grand babies are getting older. Drake is 5 now, his baby sister Macey is 1 1/2 yrs old. Abby is 2, and Caleb is 1 1/2 yrs old. I will sure miss these babies when we are gone to live in Florida, but we do not get to see them much now. I am trying to spend most of my time with my husband, and we can neither one be around anyone who is ill because of John's liver disease. That really makes it bad since the babies get sick often this time of year.

We are living by faith totally in life now. we always have, but now we have no idea what to do sometimes. God does, and He is our shepherd.

I got my Christmas shopping finished before Thanksgiving so we could be ready to leave any time after that. Who knows, we may be around here for Christmas, because we may stay in a local hotel until we sell our bus.

Christmas is about Jesus's birth. The birth of our Lord and Savior! thank you Lord for sending you only son as a virgin birth and the life of a sinless man to teach us. Thank you Jesus for the ultimate sacrifice.
I love the songs of Christmas, and the joy in peoples hearts.

I pray for the homeless, the orphans, the people without food, clothing, money, cars, or decent good running ones. Baby's and children of messed up parents. I pray for the sick and elderly and their families, especially it is difficult at this time of year. If I were wealthy, I would help as many people as I could.

Fall Is In The Air, As they Say

We broke from our record breaking heat finally. I actually have taken Toto on a couple of walks this week.
I have found that my blood is still circulating. Ha ha! Yes, I need to be moving more, and I have actually felt like it this week.

We stayed home for Labor Day weekend, last weekend. My body was adjusting to the cooler weather approaching, and my tummy was doing weird things. R&R is our cup of tea. John and I sure hope to become more active when we get to Florida. We hope to feel better there both mentally and physically, and get more exercise in the "Sunshine State".

We are settling with the insurance company this week on our accident with the camper. This will bring us to getting it back from the repair shop, and taking it out for a small camping trip to make sure everything is in working order. Then we can get back to finishing cleaning the rest of the house out, selling our 3 cars, lawn mowers, and sticking around for my dad's 80th birthday party Oct. 7th. Then we hope to be leaving soon after. This has been a long time coming, but I am glad we have missed out on the stormy weather down there recently.

We need to all pray for the folks who have been affected by the hurricanes and tropical storms. It has been devastating to many.

I miss my grand babies already, and I am still here in Missouri. It is hard to get together with them when I am not feeling well, or they are busy with their parents. If my health was better, I would try to see them more often. I pray they come to visit us in Florida, and I pray God provides for us so that we can come to visit them in Missouri 3-4 times a year. It is exciting to think of living in Florida, yet a bit frightening to be that far away from our family, especially the grand babies. If we can't handle it, we can always come back. That is the plan anyway, God's will be done.

I have been reading all of the material that I can find on living in and RV, and living full time in one. I am researching as much as possible about what to expect when staying in the state park campgrounds. I read where people are friendly when living this lifestyle, and there is a feel of community among campers. That would be refreshing! I enjoy friendly people, and we do not have that much here in St. Louis.

I hope to learn catch fish in the ocean and find a pool to swim in regularly. The ocean is such a fascination for John and I. I feel very close to God there, and feel his power and presence near his great creation. The Lord will have to help me with my apprehensions......... such as snakes, bears, sharks, and I hope to not run into an alligator. lol Really, I probably have put too much emphasis on thinking of these things. It comes from watching to much Animal Planet on TV.

Dragging

Today has been a beautiful day, and the weather promises to be better each day.

I had a girl's week last week with my two nieces who are 12 and 14 yrs old. We went to the mall twice and I took the youngest one to Grant's Farm. One day, we had my 21 month old grand daughter with us, and we all went to the Science Center here in St Louis. We all had a wonderful time! Now I am draggin! This old lady can't take all of that fun! Ha! Ha!

We are waiting on the insurance company to settle our claim on our fifth wheel. they are dragging along with it. Grrr! Will we ever get to Florida this year? I can only hope so! I have packed, and sorted, until I am at a stand still until we can pack up the camper to leave.

In the mean time, I continue to visit the grand kids and family until time to leave. I hope I can do this full time rving thing without getting too homesick. We will see....

I will be blogging more consistently when we get on the road.

Politics. They are a drag! This economic mess could have easily been avoided, if we had people leading this country who had good old fashioned horse sense. Period.
Now we all have to wiggle and squirm, and watch the news media hash it all out., While Washington keeps messin with we the people's money's and livelihoods, even our very freedoms and lives. They do much of it from behind closed doors, in their little play rooms, laughing and partying our money away. It is a pitiful shame!

Now I hope you can make a difference in our world. I am counting on you! We need jobs more than anything to revive the US of A!
