1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 banana
2 1/2 cups frozen strawberries

Directions

Makes 2 2-cup servings.

Feel free to substitute any combination of frozen fruits in place of strawberries.

Using the measuring lines on the side of the blender lets you avoid washing measuring cups!

Pour
orange juice in blender. Add yogurt till the combination reaches the
1.5 cup line. Add banana. Replace lid on blender and puree for a few seconds.

Add
strawberries to approximately the 4.5 cup line. Use the ice crush
function to begin breaking down the berries, then run on smoothie speed
for 30 seconds or so until everything is blended smooth. If you don't
have approximately 4 cups of smoothie, add strawberries until you do.

This makes two breakfast-sized servings, but is also great to serve in smaller portions to accompany other breakfast foods. For me the drink is very delicious and diet good.

Things That Skinny Girls Need To Know To Gain Weight

If you're a skinny girl and looking for information on how to
gain weight for women then you're no doubt sick and tired of the media's
constant barrage of TV programs and dieting gurus telling folks how to
LOSE weight, but virtual neglect of what a person can actually do to put
on weight.
What's worse is that I'm sure some folks even probably
give you a jealous look when you say that no matter how hard you try
and how much you eat you just can't seem to put on a few extra pounds.
Most people just don't understand how frustrating it can be to want to
gain weight and feeling like you can't.
Don't worry though, the
good news is that there are steps that you can take when thinking about
how to gain weight for women...and, believe it or not, you can take a
lesson from the how the boys do it on this one.
The 2 Different Meanings Of "Weight"
When
a woman says she wants to gain weight she doesn't really want to gain
FAT, but she is often frightened of gaining muscle - and will often say
"I don't want to be a bodybuilder or anything".
Unfortunately,
there are only two ways to gain weight - in fat or muscle. And the
problem with gaining fat is that it often distributes itself unevenly on
your body, with little regard to where YOU want it.
Building
muscle and making some weight training a part of your weekly workouts is
the single best way of how to gain weight for women without getting
fat. There's no need to frightened of it...you won't end up as a
bodybuilder - in fact women's bodies simply don't produce enough
testosterone to become really muscular.
Also, muscle mass weighs more than fat, so a little extra muscle can make a huge difference in your overall weight.
Avoid The Same Old Cardio Exercises
These
are used to burn fat and LOSE weight, not gain it. As mentioned above,
the best thing you can do is to add some weights into your routine and
starting working past your comfort zone. That is the only way to gain
muscle mass, and thus extra weight.
Loads of repetitions and many
sets on light weights won't cut it either - that is better used for
toning, and muscular endurance. You need continually increasing
resistance to force the muscles to grow, so limit your repetitions to
between 4-8 per set, and a total of around 8-10 sets per workout TOTAL
(that's including all your exercises).
Eat More To Gain Weight
Consume
more calories around 500-1000 more per day and have 6 smaller meals
spread over the whole day - this will keep your metabolism consistent
and keep a constant supply of energy feeding your muscles.
Increase
your protein intake to around 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight
(so if you weigh 150 pounds then you'll need at least 150 grams of
protein per day).
Try adding protein powders to your daily diet
and use them as one of your meals in the form of a shake with an added
banana, strawberries, or other fruits. You can benefit more here.
Cool Summer Side Dish

2 ears of corn husked

3 table spoons extra-virgin olive oil

Juice of one lime

Salt

Pepper

15 oz can of black beans, drained and rinsed

2 cups grape tomatoes, halved

1 cup cooked and cooled brown rice

¼ cup finely chopped red onion

3 thinly sliced green onions

1 clove garlic, minced

Heat a large cast-iron
skillet over high heat. Char the ears of corn, rotating on all sides, in
the dry skillet until lightly blackened and charred, about 15 minutes.
Let cool, and then remove the kernels from the cob with a sharp knife.
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice and salt and
pepper to taste. Add the black beans, tomatoes, rice, red onions, green
onions, garlic and cooled corn to a large bowl. Toss with the lime
vinaigrette.
Chicken, Sausage and Peppers

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

3/4 pound sweet or hot Italian sausage, cut into chunks

3/4 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into chunks

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 small onion, chopped

2 Italian green frying peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces

3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

1/2 cup dry white wine

3/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh parsley

2 jarred pickled cherry peppers, chopped, plus 2 tablespoons liquid from the jar

Heat
one table spoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper and then toss with the flour in a
bowl. Add the chicken and sausage to the skillet and cook until brown
but not cooked all the way through. Add the onion, peppers, garlic, salt
and pepper to taste. Let these cook for about three minutes and then
add the wine; bring to a boil. Add the chicken broth after a few minutes
and simmer. Cover and cook until the sausage and chicken have cooked
through.
Take the chicken, sausage and veggies out of the liquid.
Increase the heat to high, stir in the parsley, and cherry peppers. Boil
this mixture until it is reduced by one-third (2-3 minutes). Remove
this mix from the heat and stir in one tablespoon of butter. Pour this
sauce over the chicken mixture and ENJOY!! Here are 100 healthy recipes you can learn easy.

Family Health: The Important

Family health is a state in which the family is a resource for the
day-to-day living and health of its members. A family provides its
individual members with key resources for healthful living, including
food, clothing, shelter, a sense of self-worth, and access to medical
care. Further, family health is a socioeconomic process whereby the
health of family members is mentioned.
As the basic socioeconomic
unit of most societies, the family is the interface between societal and
individual health, and the economic interface between the family and
society determines what resources are available for a family's health.
For example, in some families the father is the primary income earner,
yet his skills are marketable only in remote, resource-based
communities. In such families, members may have adequate financial
resources for healthful living because of the father's stable
employment, though their shared geographic location has the potential to
negatively impact access to fresh foods, recreation facilities, and
quality health care. Here, the community plays a primary role in
mitigating the effects of geographic location. In healthy communities,
many families will benefit from resources available in the community
and, in turn, will produce members who contribute in kind, with family
dynamics mediating this reciprocal process.
While a family may
have adequate resources to support its members' health-related
decisions, family dynamics influence if, how, when, and by whom
resources are accessed. For example, while the family may have adequate
financial resources to support the regular physical activity of all
members, female family members may be less apt to participate in such
activities because of family expectations regarding traditional feminine
behavior, such as caregiving and household management. Further, it is
in families that individuals learn about, and are exposed to, behaviors
and patterns of living that may be key to their own health. Such learned
patterns may include diet, exercise patterns, orientation to social
support, religious practices, substance use or abuse, and domestic
violence. And, it is in families that individuals share a genetic makeup
that may influence their individual and collective health-related
decisions, such as those related to genetic screening.
Public
health has a mandate to set norms and values for health behavior,
establish policies that protect the health of the public, and set
directions for advocacy initiatives to ensure that health-related
resources are available to citizens. The family environment mediates
between societal views of health, often set by public health
initiatives, and individual health. That is, in the family unit the
norms and values set by the public health agenda are interpreted in
relation to the family's values and norms. These values are constructed
through a complex process of interpretation, which is influenced by
family history, cultural context, and popular science and culture. Thus,
the family environment may be a primary determinant of the impact of
public health policy on health-related behaviors such as exercise, diet,
and smoking. For example, public health in a particular jurisdiction
may establish a policy for nutritional labeling of packaged food.
Parents in a family in that area who subscribe to the belief that a
low-fat diet reduces risk for heart diseases may attempt to influence
family members' health by selecting and serving food labeled "low fat," a
strategy that may lead to reduced incidence of heart disease in family
members.
At the broad societal level, public health advocacy
efforts at global, national, and community levels impact resources
available to families. For example, health care reform in Canada in the
1960s established a system that ensures equitable access to medical care
for all families—in contrast to the U.S. system of health care in which
some families are unable to afford medical care for ill members, or
such care devastates the financial resources of the family.
Family
health-related research and scholarship is evident in a variety of
disciplines, including family science, nursing, medicine, health
promotion, social work, sociology, and psychology. Traditional family
theorists focus on interpersonal family dynamics and how such dynamics
contribute to or detract from family functioning. Located within a
problem-orientated, "dis-ease" perspective (itself grounded in the
practice of counseling), authors have explored dimensions of family life
that contribute to how well the family functions. The
problem-orientation of family theories is an issue for those involved in
family-health promotion who seek to build on the strengths and
resiliencies of families. Emerging perspectives on family-health
promotion explore the links between family life and individual members'
health, with individual health defined as more than the absence of
disease. Feminist scholars contribute to understanding family health by
exploring how family life affects the health of females, including the
health-related effects of domestic violence and role strain, an area of
research largely ignored or invisible prior to feminist inquiry.
While
research on families beyond a problem/dis-ease orientation is in an
early stage, evidence in diverse cultural contexts points to family
practices and processes that foster and support the development of
members' health. Future research exploring the relationships between
individual health, family, and social organizations has the potential to
uncover the reciprocity between individual health, family context, and
society.

Play. Seems simple, but, do you really know how
to do it? Get down on the floor and play trucks, build forts, make
cardboard buildings for cars. Go through the clothes in the house and
make a dress up box; include old jewelry, hats, purses, and shoes. Plan a
tea party, and follow it wherever it goes.

Read. Start a small chapter book and read one chapter a day. Make reading time special with snacks.

Make crafts. Simple paper plates make great masks to wear, then you can play using your masks.

Cook. Every kid
loves to help in the kitchen. Make or buy their own cookbook and apron,
then let them pick a recipe and help them make it, and do this as a
weekly thing. You will be surprised how much you learn from your child
while spending the time together.

Give them creative reign. Get a big box, cut it open, lay it flat and hand them the supplies to go crazy -- let them paint, draw, cut, and then join in.

Go on picnics. All
kids love picnics, the key is making them spontaneous. Pick them up from
school, take a snack and head to the park, have a picnic inside, use a
theme like all red food, or let them pick all the foods. So what if for
one meal you're eating twinkies and cereal. It won't kill them or you.

Play games, any game. When's the last time you indulged in something a little wild, like hide and seek in the house?

Build a fort, inside or out.
Kids don't need extravagant play houses -- a sheet over the clothes
line or some chairs will do just fine. Play in there with them.

Play with play dough.
Get out the cookie cutters and anything else that you normally don't
let them use for playdough...use plastic utensils for cutting.

Be an a clown occasionally.You
don't need make-up, just be silly. The kids will have a great time
laughing when their Mum/Dad isn't able to find that thing that is
obviously in front of them ("No I can't see it anywhere."). Another
great example is getting your foot stuck to the floor after gluing
something. When the kids try to help, their hand also gets stuck to the
parents hand.

Pretend Play. Imagine you are a family of penguins or dolphins or something. Assume roles. Assume a challenge & play out the roles.

Building a Story.
Invite friends of your kids at home. Its easier to manage multiple kids,
if you know the trick. Build a story collaboratively. A child starts
the story. Next one continues it by adding another line. Then the next
one takes it further & so on..

Give your kids the ultimate gift of time.
Instead of saying "not right now", stop and go play for an hour. Is
that bill really going to be any different if you leave it on the table
and come back an hour later? Probably not, but, your child may look back
and remember the day you stopped what you were doing and played for an
hour.

DefinitionA
skin graft surgery is the removal and transplantation of healthy skin
from one area of the body to another area. It is done to replace the
skin in an area where the skin has been damaged. The source sites most
commonly used for skin grafts are the inner thigh, buttocks, below the
collar bone, in front of and behind the ear, and the upper arm.
The use of your own skin as the source area is called an
autograft. If there is not enough skin on the body to provide graft
coverage, skin may be harvested from outside sources. These alternate
sources are only meant for temporary use until your own skin grows back.
Three common options are:

Allograft—skin taken from another human source, such as a cadaver

Xenograft—skin taken from an animal source

Synthetic tissue

Reasons for Procedure

          To promote healing of:

Large burns

Wounds

Venous ulcers

Pressure ulcers (bedsores)

Diabetic ulcers

To reconstruct skin removed during surgery (such as following
          breast cancer surgery
          )

A successful skin graft will result in transplanted
skin adhering and growing into the recipient area. Cosmetic results may
vary, based on factors such as the type of skin graft used and the
recipient site.

Possible Complications

If you are planning to have a skin graft, your doctor will review a list of possible complications, which may include:

Bleeding

Graft failure

Infection at either the donor or recipient site

Poor healing

Increased or decreased sensation at the recipient site

Hair may not grow on recipient site

Graft tissue of contracts, interfering with limb movement

Factors that may increase the risk of complications include:

Age: newborns and infants, or 60 or older

Smoking

Diabetes

Poor overall health

Use of certain medicines

What to Expect

Prior to Procedure

The wound will be cleaned with an antiseptic.

Anesthesia

Depending on the surgery, you may receive:

Local anesthesia—The immediate area is numbed.

You may also be given intravenous drugs to help you relax and reduce anxiety.

Regional anesthesia—A large area of your body will be numbed, but you will be awake.

General anesthesia
              —You will be asleep.

Description of Procedure

The
wound will be measured. A pattern of the wound will be traced and then
outlined over the donor site. The donor tissue will be removed with a
scalpel or special harvesting machine.
There are three main types of skin graft techniques:

Split-thickness
graft—This is the removal of the top layer of skin and part of the
middle layer. This type of graft allows the source site to heal more
quickly. The graft is more fragile. It may also be abnormally pigmented
(color differences). This type of graft may be meshed. This is a
technique which places multiple controlled holes in the graft. It will
give it a mesh appearance. The mesh allows fluid to leak out from the
underlying tissue bed. The meshed skin will be able to spread out over a
much larger area of injury.

Full-thickness graft—This is the
removal and transfer of an entire area of skin. Although this type of
graft requires stitches to heal the source site, the final outcome is
usually better. Full-thickness grafts are usually recommended for areas
where cosmetic appearance is important, such as the face. Full-thickness
grafts can only be placed on areas of the body that have significant
vascularization (blood vessels). Its use is somewhat limited.

Composite
grafts—This is a combination of skin and fat, skin and cartilage, or
the middle layer of skin and fat. It is used in areas that require
three-dimensionality, such as the nose.

The graft will be placed on the damaged site. It will be fastened with stitches or staples.
A
pressure bandage will be applied over the area. A wound VAC may be
placed for the first 3-5 days. This is a device that has suction and is
used to control drainage. Initially, the graft will survive on oxygen
and nutrients from the underlying tissue. Within 36 hours, new blood
vessels begin to grow. New cells will grow from the graft to cover the
damaged area with new skin.

How Long Will It Take?

This varies, depending on the size of the graft and extent and severity of the injury.

How Much Will It Hurt?

Harvesting
skin grafts can be painful. Anesthesia should prevent most pain during
the procedure. Talk to your doctor about medicine to help manage pain
after the procedure.

Average Hospital Stay

This
varies depending on the reason for the graft, the size of the graft, as
well as other care that is needed. For example, recovery from a burn or
accident may take longer.

Postoperative Care

Be sure to follow your doctor's
          instructions
          , which may include:

Keep the recipient site clean and dry.

Avoid all trauma to the recipient site.

Do not expose recipient site to prolonged sunlight.

Inspect site for healing and good circulation, as shown by healthy pink coloration.

Follow instructions given for bandaging the grafted area.
This will provide the area with appropriate support during the healing
process. It will also help to prevent
              contractures
(intense tightening) even after healing is complete.

Call Your Doctor

After you leave the hospital, contact your doctor if any of the following occurs:

Signs of infection, including fever and chills

Redness, swelling, increasing pain, excessive bleeding, or discharge from the wounds

Headache, muscle aches, dizziness, or general ill feeling

Cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, or severe nausea or vomiting

Any new symptoms

In case of an emergency, call for medical help right away.

The concept of healthy eating
applies to everyone, at any age or in any condition, and is defined by
balance. You must balance your consumption of calories from food with
the energy you burn off through exercise. You must balance your intake
of essential nutrients, getting enough but not too much of any one
element. This entails regulating when you eat as well. The National
Institutes of Health relate that eating three meals a day offers a
consistent influx of nutrition.

Calories

Controlling
your caloric intake both manages your weight and helps to ensure that
you don't get too many nutrients that can harm your health when consumed
in excess. The FDA defines an average diet as 2,000 food calories per
day. You can monitor your numbers by adding up the per-serving calories
listed on food package labels. Make sure you eat the recommended serving
size or alter the number of calories if you eat more or less than that.

Adequate Nutrients

To
grow new tissue and fulfill metabolic processes, you need many
essential nutrients. The USDA targets calcium, potassium, dietary fiber
and vitamin D as those that may be lacking in many diets. Make special
efforts to achieve your total daily values, or DVs, of these nutrients,
along with iron, magnesium and vitamins A, B, C, E and K. A varied diet
will help you achieve this balance daily, while providing plenty of
protein and carbohydrates, which most Americans do get enough of.
Emphasize whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat meats, fish and
dairy products, which meet the USDA definition of healthy foods.

Limited Nutrients

The
nutrients that you may over-consume include fat, cholesterol and
sodium. These are abundant in many fast foods, snacks and canned and
frozen foods and may be attended by high calories. Solid trans and
saturated fats and cholesterol can degrade blood vessels, and high
sodium promotes high blood pressure. Staying within your DVs of these
nutrients will keep you in the healthy eating range.

Balancing Nutrition

Even
if you didn't pay attention to DV figures, moderate servings of a
variety of foods would lend balance to your diet. To consciously choose
variety, draw your meal ingredients from different members of each of
the five food groups each day. Examples include apples, oranges and
berries from the fruit group and cereal, brown rice and barley from the
grain group. Vegetable selections are numerous, and among the dairy and
protein food groups, low-fat choices represent the most healthy foods
for your diet.

The Meaning of Health paints a definitive picture of
what health really looks like from the outside, and inspires you by
what it truly feels like from the inside. It illustrates how your body,
mind, and soulful awareness award you with a greater appreciation of
all physical treatments, mental techniques, and spiritual practices.
As a healthy reminder, The Meaning of Health brings to
light how your level of intention is the key to the enduring success
and enjoyment of all wholesome endeavours. Then, it directly reveals
why your level of attention shapes the quality of your experience in
good times and bad.
To avoid the false promise of a cookbook prescription, The Meaning of Health
skirts around the how-to lecture, flashing a provocative why-to grin
that reflects the wisdom-tools within yourself. When you know in your
heart the meaning of health, then you will know what to do, and
naturally do it with healing in mind.
The pay-off in facing the
pain in your life is in the time and money saved on cosmetic cures.
But don't take it on faith. Take a chance on this behind-the-scenes
look at life's divine comedy of double entendres, double-takes, and
catch-22s.
The Meaning of Health is a must read for
anyone concerned with the well-being of children, students, or
patients, because the purpose and love in your own life are all you
really have to inspire and guide anyone else.
"It's never too late to be ahead of your time."
The Meaning of Health
sees far beyond the mechanics of conventional and alternative health
care. It values your decisions prior to your diagnosis and honours
your perceptions long after your prognosis. It clearly points out that
the purpose of facing unavoidable pain is to prevent needless
suffering.
The Meaning of Health demands a higher
context of all scientific, psychological, and spiritual evidence
through deeper insights of body, mind, and soul. Then, it excavates the
remains of the ancient wisdom and scientific concepts that tend to
get lost in the translation.
Recognizing the inherent purpose
in your own life assures you a sense of purpose in all of existence.
This direct inner knowledge busts through the conflicting and confusing
expert advice, making all problems and solutions a little more
meaningful.
Feeling the unconditional love within your own
nature affirms in you the benevolent support from all of nature. This
mature inner love gives you a sense of belonging that lessens your
longing, and looking for love in all the wrong places.
Taking
responsibility for your own well-being gives you the courage to trust
in your innate biological and spiritual healing. This internal strength
eases the need for abusing any physical, financial, or authoritative
power.
Recapturing your inner freedom releases your
enslavement to neuroses, disabilities, and peer pressures, giving you
hope for the possible and faith in the probable. This genuine joy also
unlocks your sights from the limitations of others to freely see their
solemn promise and sacred sovereignty.
It's this living
experience of purpose, love, responsibility, and freedom-at the levels
of body, mind, and soulÑthat serves up an all-inclusive helping of
health that forever satisfies. Of course, the meaning of good and evil,
nature and nurture, and science and religion naturally come up when
defusing the dispute over mind and matter. However, it's your evolving
awareness that is most important for dealing with pain, lessening
mistakes, and making all internal debate a little less daunting.
The
endless search for the ultimate fix eases up, while the ceaseless
struggle for absolute answers calms down, with the inner certainty that
you knew all along. The Meaning of Health is written on many levels
in a poetic style to induce your imagination wherever you happen to be.
A deliberate read, with breaks for contemplation and discussion, helps
the digestion of this soul food for thought.
"By sharing my
childhood insights about purpose, love, responsibility, and freedom, I
confirm that we all share an innate sense for healthy living, if
needing only some context, consensus, and clarification."

Learning how to give up drinking alcohol is the first step
towards sobriety, and inside today's article we will check out step two,
and the way to stay healthy once you have given up drinking alcohol.
Although
there do exist links between what you actually eat and desires for
alcohol, the food issue is not really a quick way to help us to give up
drinking alcohol as additional changes like medical attention and
dietary supplements are needed.
There is a quite large amount of
research concerning the potential benefits of vitamins and minerals
during periods of alcohol withdrawal. The greatest focus here has been
on the B-complex vitamins, despite the fact that every one of the main
vitamins;- A, C, D, and E in addition to the B-complex vitamin
supplements have been discovered to perform a really good part.
Research
indicates that greatly cutting down intake of sugars and caffeine can
specifically lower alcohol desires. When it comes to sugar, this would
mean reduction of prepared sweets and treats having more than around ten
grams of sugar for each helping; avoidance of sugary sodas; avoidance
of dried fruits and also fruit juices except in small amounts (for
example a 4 ounce tumbler of juice or even a few tbsp of raisins on your
breakfast cereal); and of course, no using white sugar.
Caffeine
also should be cut straight out of the dietary plan meaning no less than
zero tea and coffee (unless of course if it is decaffeinated), and just
to add insult to injury chocolate is also on the list, so only a couple
of squares if you get really frantic. Interestingly enough it is
demonstrated that sugar and coffee affect the blood sugar levels
regulation and that if we're able to handle the blood sugar level, we'll
basically lessen the alcohol/sugar desires. In a nutshell, if you're
able to ignore caffeinated drinks and sugar then you're on the road to
reducing alcohol craving.
Another essential action to take will be
to ensure you are getting a lot of nutrient-rich food items so that
your body truly does feel great and you've got full strength both
physically and mentally, and also internally so your liver can deal with
the detoxification processes.
The only way to accomplish this
target will be eating as healthily as possible because nutritious food
sources contain the vast majority of the vitamins and minerals that we
require to meet our own goals. We will probably possess particularly low
stocks of all the basic vitamins and minerals required by our body,
since alcohol has a means of reducing them, so let's make a genuine
attempt for once and for all and stay healthy when we have given up
drinking.Fine more information here.

    Vitamin D -The Sunshine Vitamin!
I more than suspect that
most doctors have no idea when it comes to the full benefits of vitamin
D. As well as its use in a whole range of treatment and prevention such
as:
- Type 2 diabetes
- As an anti-inflammatory agent...
- Protection against multiple sclerosis
- Reducing bone fragility in old people
- Parkinson's disease
- Renal (kidney) failure if in chronic deficiency of the vitamin
- Much more prone to chronic pain if in deficiency of the vitamin
Vitamin D also has showed some amazing results when looked at as a form of cancer prevention.
The Creighton, Nebraska Study 'The Greatest Cancer Breakthrough Ever?'
In
June 2007, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published an
article. It showed by means of a three-year study how 1179
post-menopausal women in Nebraska prevented cancer risk by as much as
between 60-77%. This amazing result was achieved by giving the women
vitamin D3, the sunshine vitamin (so called the sunshine vitamin because
humans can obtain all the requirements of vitamin D3 through getting
10-15 minutes of natural sunlight daily). This was given in the way of
dietary supplementation. Principally, Professor Joan Lappe of Creighton
University School of Medicine had conducted the study.
One website
had called it the 'greatest breakthrough on cancer, ever.' The findings
certainly show that vitamin D is a lifesaver when it comes to cancer
prevention and it alarmingly reveals how it is neglected in the diet.
From her results, Professor Lappe at the university described vitamin D
as '...a critical tool in fighting cancer as well as many other
diseases.'
In spite of its important findings, the report did not
make it to the more prestigious journals such as the 'Journal of the
American Medical Association.' It was also published on a Friday, a low
impact news day, a time usually for less significant research.
I
have no doubt, the reason being for its lack of recognition was due to
the fact that the medical/pharmaceutical establishment don't want this
effective form of cancer prevention to be pursued: Think of the money
they would lose if the public knew that sunshine could be doing more
good than their expensive invasive medicine that can do more harm than
good! For more information you can learn the secretes here.
Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle, an e-book by Tom Venuto, has
gradually become the best e-book ever that tackles the intelligent way
of losing fat and weight. To understand the program, this Burn The Fat
Feed The Muscle Review gives insights and a systematic guide. The review
highlights the credibility of its author, Tom Venuto, a body building
champion himself. Indeed, who can better teach and talk about burning
the fat and feeding the muscle, but a guru himself in the field?
Burn
The Fat Feed The Muscle Review begins by highlighting the differences
in the physical make-up of each individual, thus, becoming the basis for
differences in reaction to any intervention or regimen introduced to
the body. This approach clears the ground for any unrealistic
expectations that the readers may initially have. It is not about
dampening the spirits but more of being in touch with reality. This is
one attribute of the review that makes it appealing to the reader.
The
review also gives advanced information on how the e-book looks like -
devoid of any illustration or photos, hence, he is advised to make a
print-out of the book and condition himself for a comprehensive read. By
describing the e-book as it is, the reader becomes devoid of any
distractions when attacking it for the first time.
Chapters of the e-book are also described by the review.
Accordingly,
the first few chapters of the e-book begin with theories and principles
in losing weight and fat, giving the reader the opportunity to
understand the basics and know the difference between what has been
proven as knowledge-based approach that gives long lasting results and
quick fixes that do nothing but provide immediate results on a
short-term basis. Such technique in the presentation of the facts makes
the reader enriched with the knowledge of weight/fat loss principles
disposing him for the next chapters that will assist him in goal-setting
for a healthier, leaner and fat-free body.
Gradually, as he
progresses on the chapters, he will know how to create his own diet plan
and maximize the bonus materials and benefits that come along with the
e-book.
Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is a straightforward
review of the e-book authored by Venuto. Each detail is a rich source of
complete understanding of the program, pre-conditioning the reader and
revving him up to follow what the e-book aims to come across.

is one of the best e-books about weight loss and fitness, it's still

Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology. Through his education and
experience he has come to realize that the problem called cellulitis
which you will probably come up against as you mature is actually a
condition that you don't have to put up with. The Kick Butt Cellulite
Redux is a program that he has come up with to help you get rid of
cellulitis and give you the information that you need to understand the
problem so you can keep it under control.
He has provided the following facts that you should know about cellulitis:
> It isn't an inherited condition.
> Once you get it, it doesn't have to be there forever.
> Atrophied muscle tissue causes the tissue to sag and that's where it all starts.
> There are lots of treatments recommended but none of them seem to be effective.
> You deserve something that works
Although
it really isn't in your genes, it seems that your genes may make you
more susceptible to the problem. Cellulitis is actually an issue with
the muscle fiber in the middle portion of your body. You need some type
of approach that will treat the atrophy of that muscle fiber that comes
about with hormonal changes as you mature.

The program Joey has developed is called Synergistic Muscle Layer
Stimulation. It consists of simple exercises that will help the you get
rid of your cellulitis. You will learn to use a routine scheduled for
every other day that will take you through a series of movements that
are designed to get rid of your cellulitis by firming up those problem
areas that are so unsightly. In his Naked Beauty e-book and video Joey
is able to show you how the right exercises at the right intervals will
help you get rid of that cellulitis. Then he has an 18 minute anti
cellulite cardio routine that is designed to break up the cellulite.

The rest of the program which is on the third video consists of
exercises that will get you that sexy flat stomach you've been wanting
and will help to tone your upper arms.
Medication isn't going to
take away your cellulite, it will take some effort on your part but Joey
Atlas is an experienced trainer with lots of experience in these areas.
He is the guy who can give you the information you should know about firming up those sagging muscles.
Additionally, you will need to have an exercise or resistance band for the arm and back exercises.
While the workouts are quick, they are very powerful. The majority consists of high intensity interval style training with very little rest periods (called afterburner workouts).
If you're not familiar with doing intervals, you will most certainly be after this program. Basically, interval training consists of doing certain exercises at a very high intensity, followed by a period of rest or recovery. The intensity and rest time can vary, but generally there is a consistent pattern with each workout.
For example, one of the Bodyweight Burn workouts follows an 8:12 protocol or 8 seconds of maximum intensity followed by 12 seconds of rest. Therefore, even though the total workout time is only 21 minutes, you really push yourself a lot in that time.
There are also workouts dedicated to muscle building (called metabolic-muscle) and less intensive ones for muscle recovery (called cardioflow). They all are designed, however, to get the most out of you in a short period of time.
Along with the three types of workouts, there are also strategically paired "diet days" that are meant for maximizing fat loss. There are 5 specific days: Low Carb, Moderate Carb, Good Carb, Back Load, and 24 Hour Fast.
For low and moderate carb days, you will have three meals a day and two small snacks. The portions are visually based, so there's no need to count calories, but the meal size will probably be less than you are used to. You are allowed to eat lots of vegetables, though.
For good carb days, you are allowed to eat a little bit more, but are advised not to fill yourself and to stay away from refined carbs.
Back load days are days when you will consume your carbohydrates late in the day, after you have had your workout. There are no portion controls on these days, but again, you are advised not to stuff yourself.
The 24 hour fast days will be the most difficult days to power through, especially if you have never fasted before. For these days, you may substitute them for low carb days, but if you want to follow the diet exactly, then you will not be able to eat anything for 24 hours. The only thing you are permitted to consume is water and other non-caloric beverages.
Overall, the Bodyweight Burn program is a complete diet and exercise system that works together to build lean muscle and burn fat. The plan is perfect for anyone looking for an effective way to lose weight that doesn't require a lot of exercise time.
The fast days may be challenging and take some getting used to, but if you can stay on course, there is no doubt that you can see great results.
Click here to read the full review and to watch a follow-along Bodyweight Burn workout.

Make Your Body Fit And Sexy

A healthy body is important to have a healthy life.
