Hi all,

I opened my blog after almost five years. I was busy all these years working with Sound rental companies like JDavis Pro Sound, Banglore and others. Even now busy with Freelance Shows, System Tuning for Installation as Sound Consultant and Live Sound Faculty at Panache School (PATSAV), Hyderabad. Now i was browsing Dave Rat blog and i surprised how he is taking out the time as blogger, so i cant continue with my blog. So started posting a new post that i will try to continue with this blog and share useful information what am going through with Live Sound - The profession as a sound guy.

The previous posts all that i have posted as a hobbyist with passion about sound from childhood. But now it has turned into Profession. So will share some good stuff if you are not bored.

According to his aptitude or liking, a person can mould or fit himself in various branches of Sound Recording and Engineering:-

One of the largest & best-equipped music industry degrees in the world, MTSU has 8 pro studios, 2 production labs, and 3 concentrations in Audio Production, Songwriting & Music Business. Offering both undergrad and Masters degrees in Recording Arts.

The Recording Industry Dept. offers a BS with concentrations in Audio Production, Music Business, and Commercial Songwriting, and an MFA in Recording Arts. The curriculum includes courses covering all aspects of the industry. Minors include Mass Communication, Music, Computer Science, Marketing, Entertainment Technology, Electronics, and others. Facilities include: 5 studios with SSL, API, and Sony consoles, ProTools HD, and Sadie DAWs, 5.1 channel mixing, cinema remix room, MIDI and digital audio laboratories featuring ProTools and Digital Performer software, mastering room, post-production suite, and listening laboratories. SPARS said, ìThe program in general is excellent.î Rolling Stone writes ìOne of the preeminent music business programs in the country.î 8 TEC Award nominations, NARAS Student Music Award, AES Mix Award, AES and NARAS chapters.

Velodyne Announces SC-602 Dual Subwoofer Amplifier

Velodyne’s new dual subwoofer amp is the newest addition to the SC-600 series. It sports a pair of Class D amplifiers with 400 watts of peak power apiece. The SC-602 has a five band auto EQ bass correction system that adjusts to the room.

It’s also got a few audio presets that can be controlled with the remote based on the music or videos coming through. You can also adjust volume and phase, as well as put the speaker in night mode, via the included IR remote.

Set up is simple with the Velodyne SC-602. As sales director Doug Smith puts it, “Set up is as easy as cut, plug and play.” The SC-602 is a companion to the SC-600 IF/IC subwoofers, which can be concealed in the floor, ceiling, closet or other enclosures in the house.

All three of our 'mainstream' loudspeakers – the Nucleus Micro, A'Diva and Dué – share common design elements, performance characteristics and proprietary technologies. These factors allow the user to easily mix and match Gallo speaker products in a home cinema set-up, depending on application and/or budget.

For example, all three use a version of our superb 3-inch driver unit, all have 100 Watts power handling and all three have a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms. This means that any combination of elements are possible. The A'Diva makes a perfect centre channel speaker in a Nucleus Micro system. The A'Diva or Nucleus Micro makes an ideal rear channel speaker in a Due home cinema system.

Uniquely, our speakers can each be purchased individually and colours can be mixed and matched (even within a single system). This flexibility takes the strain out of assembling a multi-channel home cinema and allows the user to easily configure a system for DTS ES or Dolby Digital EX if required.

No doubt about it, if you've heard a good home cinema system... you want one! Unfortunately, finding space in your listening room for five speakers (or even six or seven), plus a subwoofer, poses some serious interior design challenges.
