This was a movie tagged as a comedy, one which featured the likes of Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar plus directed by Priyadarshan. Naturally everyone expects this to be a comedy. Wrong !!! This is probably the best thriller of the year. A horror flick which has touches of comedy scattered around. Kinda reminds you of Johnny Depp's Sleepy Hollow.

I won't go far as comparing Sleepy Hollow with Bhool Bhulaiyaa, because they are not comparable. One is a Hollywood flick and the other Bollywood. One which is high budgeted other relatively low. But you cant but feel that the comedy which seemed forced in Sleepy Hollow is same for this flick. It really appears forced. One can feel that they can do away with the comedy in the first half of the movie all together. The sequences where the bloke has to be dumb in order to complete a holy task, just appears too forced.

Devi is gifted with Extra Sensory Perception (ESP). Her gift comes to light one day while playing tennis with her friend, Sudha, when she has a vision of her sister, Rama, being shot to death by a man in a black raincoat. She telephones Rama, finds she is safe and is relieved. Shortly thereafter Rama disappears, the police are notified, but are unable to find any trace of her. Devi then meets multi-millionaire, Ram Kumar, both fall in love and get married. She moves into his once abandoned and legally disputed bungalow, and that's when she starts having visions again. These visions lead her to a wall that is loosely plastered. She breaks down the wall with a pick-axe and finds a skeleton of a woman, who is later identified as Rama. Now having come to know that her premonitions are more or less accurate, Devi starts to have another vision - this time of a woman being stabbed by a bald man. Plot
Inspired by the Italian Giallo genre of films. 100 Days uses main plot elements from Lucio Fulci's 1977 classic Sette note in nero (Released as Seven Notes in Black & The Psychic).[2]
The film opens with a young woman, Devi (Madhuri Dixit), who gets sudden visions (usually accompanied with a mild panic attack) of incidents and accidents that are yet to happen.[3] Devi has a vision of her sister Rama (Moon Moon Sen) being murdered. Her college friends Sudha (Sabeeha) and Sunil (Javed Jaffrey) try to help her sort through her visions but to little avail.
Devi is relieved after she talks to her sister & finds that she is alive. However, just some time later, Rama is murdered the same way Devi pictured. The murderer buries Rama's body in a closed mansions wall. Rama is reported missing. Devi firmly believes Rama is dead. Five years later, Devi moves to her uncle's(Ajit Vachani) home where she eventually meets and is courted by millionaire businessman Ram Kumar(Jackie Shroff). Sunil, who was secretly in love with Devi, is disappointed. Devi & Ram marry & enter his family mansion, which he has re-earned after a legal battle. Little known to anybody, even Devi, this is the same mansion where Rama is buried. But when Devi starts having the visions again, Rama's skeleton is not the only thing that will come tumbling out.
Devi starts getting visions again. She sees a wall in the mansion being torn down. Devi tears down the wall, only to find a skeleton tumbling out of it. Devi knows who the skeleton is: it is Rama, since she had a necklace similar to Devi's on her body. Also, the woman is roughly same height as that of Rama. The Inspector(Shivaji Satam) quickly points out that since the mansion was closed when Rama disappeared, anyone could have snucked a dead body in there & nobody would know the truth. However, he doubts that the woman is Rama: Several such necklaces are available.
Devi now gets another vision of another woman get murdered. She also pinpoints two details: a magazine cover with a horse on it and a video cassette labeled 100 Days. Sunil and Devi visit the magazine office. The editor politely informs them that the next six months' covers do not feature any equestrian theme whatsoever. The cassette clue, too, is a dead end: no video store in Bombay carries any such title. Devi begins delving into Rama's life. Rama was a research scholar; she was working on a thesis about ancient sculptures and temples in India. A quick investigation by Devi reveals that many artifacts listed by Rama either mysteriously disappeared, got stolen or were replaced by fakes. She also learns that two people working in the museum, Jagmohan & Parvati were fired on the suspicion. Parvati is revealed to be the new victim of Devi's visions.
Jagmohan is a hot headed man while Parvati knows the killer of Rama. Parvati has videotaped the murder & knows the murderer. She tries to blackmail the murderer, but the murderer tries to kill her. She sneaks into a video library, sticks a tape on the cassette, names it 100 Days & tries to escape. But Jagmohan succeeds in killing her, just as Devi had seen. Later, due to some last minute developments, the magazine prints an issue with a horse on its cover. Devi soon realizes that Parvati has been murdered. She goes to the video library & retrieves the tape. Jagmohan tries to kill her, but her luck prevails. She comes back into the mansion, where she gets a vision of herself in an injured state & a broken mirror in the mansion. She tells Ram about the developments & sits with him to watch the cassette. Ram has no idea about the cassette's contents.
However, as the cassette is being played, Devi gets another shock: she sees Rama confronting Ram. Based on the evidence in the cassette, it becomes clear that Ram is the murderer. Devi tells him that she is pregnant with his child. Ram offers to explain. Ram tells that all his relatives fought for money all these years, leaving him alone. Soon, he took to illegal ways of earning money. He ran into Jagmohan & Parvati. Later, the trio started smuggling the artifacts. Rama suspected it & decided to expose them. That night, Ram went to talk to Rama. But Jagmohan, who lost his temper, killed her. Parvati was secretly taping the incident, but due to her camera's angle, it looked as if Ram was the killer. Ram offers to surrender to police & calls them. He confesses his crimes & asks them to arrest him.
No sooner has he stopped talking, than Jagmohan hits him on his head with a shankh(conch shell). Ram collapses unconscious, while Devi fights Jagmohan. In this unequal fight, Devi is overpowered & rendered unconscious as well. Jagmohan buries them alive in the same wall where he buried Rama. Just as he is about to escape, he sees Sunil coming in. Jagmohan hides while Sunil is surprised to see the mansion open with nobody in it. Just then, Devi's wrist watch chimes. Sunil is surprised to hear the sound coming from the wall & puts two & two together. He starts digging the wall, thus saving the unconscious duo. Jagmohan suddenly attacks Sunil. However, Sunil puts up a good fight with the enemy with an unfair advantage. Ram wakes up too & soon overpowers Jagmohan with help of Sunil.
The police arrive on the scene. Sunil is surprised to see Ram being arrested as well. Devi looks wearily as the police vans go away.

Plot

Sachin (Prateik Babbar) is a student of mechanical engineering in Mumbai who aspires to become a filmmaker. His friend introduces him to cinematographer Anay (Manu Rishi). With Anay's help Sachin becomes an assistant to director Ramesh Sippy. Sachin's family, who are Marathi Hindu Konkanasth Brahmins, rent Jessie Thekekuttu's (Amy Jackson) house. Jessie is from a conservative Malayali Nasrani Christian family from Alappuzha, Kerala, that lives upstairs. Sachin falls in love with Jessie the moment he meets her. Sachin tries to interact with Jessie, who is afraid of speaking to men around her strict father, and ends up angering Jessie. Unable to hide his feelings for her any longer, Sachin confesses his love for her, to which she does not respond. A few days later, Sachin learns from his sister that Jessie has gone to Kerala to visit her grandmother. He, along with Anay, ends up in Kerala to look for her. After several days, he finds her, apologises and she introduces him to her family in Kerala as her "classmate". Jessie denies she has any feelings for him, but agrees to be his friend. On the train journey back home, however, the two get closer and share a passionate kiss. Sachin is convinced Jessie loves him; the two meet several times and Jessie begins to admit that she also likes Sachin, but wants to refrain from any problems because she knows her father wouldn't give her hand in marriage to a Hindu. Consequently, due to various misunderstandings between Jessie's brother and Sachin, her parents learn of their supposed affair. They fix a match and schedule her wedding. The day arrives and midway through the ceremony, Jessie refuses to marry the groom, displeasing everyone in her family. Sachin, who had, without anyone's knowledge, come to Kerala to witness the wedding is ecstatic and secretly visits Jessie at her home. It is then that Jessie admits she has indeed fallen in love with him. Sachin and Jessie continue to love each other without the knowledge of their parents.

At this point of time, Sachin goes to Goa on a 40-day shoot, where he gets busy. Meanwhile, the topic of Jessie's marriage comes up again at her home when the guy whom she refused to marry earlier pays them a visit. Panicking, Jessie calls Sachin and tells him that she wants to elope with him. Sachin, since he is traveling through less than ideal places, tells Jessie to stay in Mumbai for now, and that soon he would be back and they can discuss. Jessie stops taking Sachin's calls and so he goes back one night to check on Jessie. He comes to know that Jessie has decided to break up, as the relationship is not peaceful due to her parents' disapproval. She says she has agreed to get married to a boy of her parents' choice. When Sachin pleads her not to do it, she tells him that a time had come when she was willing to elope, but the moment was gone. She doesn't want Sachin to wait for her, as he has his dreams to fulfill. Sachin later comes to know that she is married and settled abroad.

Two years later, Sachin meets Samantha (Samantha Ruth Prabhu). She falls in love with him, but is rejected by Sachin who says that he hasn't yet gotten over Jessie. He then comes up with a script for his first film, which happens to be his very own love story. He calls upon an actor (Ashwin Kakumanu) as the film's protagonist, Samantha as the female lead and Anay as the film's cinematographer, and the film is eventually titled Jessie. While shooting for the film in Taj Mahal, he sees Jessie and she comes to speak with him. She admits that she is not married and is still in love with him, and he too says she is still in his heart. Sachin proposes yet again and they get married the same day. This is actually revealed to be the end scene in Sachin's movie – which Sachin and Jessie in real life are watching together in the theater. After the film ends, Jessie praises Sachin for his efforts and the latter agrees to drop her home, implying that they are re-united.

A second ending to the film was released, which was the director's cut.

Storyline

Sachin is an engineering graduate from a middle class Mumbai family, but his passion is for the world of cinema. He is dreaming and planning for a future as a director, when he sees Jessie. It is love at first sight for Sachin. However, Jessie is from a strict Malayali Christian family, and her parents would never approve of their romance. Storyline;Ghost is a 2012 Indian horror film written and directed by Puja Jatinder Bedi, starring Shiney Ahuja and Sayali Bhagat in the lead roles and features Russian actress Julia Bliss who makes her Bollywood debut. It was also Ahuja's first film after having been accused by his then 18 year old cleaner of raping her.[1] Ghost was released on Friday 13 January 2012 and was critically panned, although the performance of Sayali Bhagat was well praised.[2] The film performed moderately well at the Indian box office.
