Laptop Not Charging, Battery Issue

One of the laptop not charging cause by the broken battery, include HP laptop that we will discuss here. HP 4430S series laptop that is not charging.
As we know that the charging process of this laptop indicated by the charging indicator lamp ( near of the charger port of the laptop ). When the battery not 100% the indicator will lit orange and change to white when the battery full.

If you find the following condition of your HP laptop ( 4430S series or other similar series ) :
1. The charging indicator lit for just one second when the charger plugged and off after this.
2. Laptop won't turn ON without the charger
3. Laptop working normal with the charger but dead directly when the charger unplugged
4. During the laptop working, the battery status will show " ... Not charging " and still 0 %
So, this mean that the battery have broken and you should replace this so that the laptop working well. You should know that without battery the laptop still working but the temperature of the laptop will increase faster.

Fix a Laptop Not Charging

Laptop not charging caused by many things including the broken charger unit or the problem of the component at the laptop motherboard, lets discuss about this.
1. Laptop not charging because the power source cannot get into the motherboard. For this problem, we can analyze it using a multitester. Open the laptop casing and take out the motherboard of the laptop, and then look at the charger port at the motherboard.

Plug in the charger unit and check the voltage at the + pin and - pin, as the image above. For any type of the laptop of course will different but is same really. If at this zone the voltage not appear this mean that the charger port have broken or the + lane has short circuit to the - lane ( ground ). How to ensure this? Separate the lane of these port with the other lane.

Look at the image above ( BenQ laptop motherboard ), release the PL9 and PL6 and then check the voltage at the charger port, if still nothing this mean that the charger port has broken. Note that you should sure that the charger working well.
But if at the place above the voltage appear, the problem will very complex. Maybe the laptop not charging caused by the broken IC charger or the main mosfet, and we should have enough electronics basic knowledge to find the problem source.

2. Laptop not charging caused by the broken Capacitor. This happen indicated by the lost voltage of the charger unit when plug into the laptop.
3. Or laptop not charging caused by some trouble of the chipset that working as controller of the charger chips of the motherboard
Some problems we cannot discuss here because very complex, but next time i want to share base of my experience about fix a laptop not charging.

2. Take out the main modul (mainboard) to access the power supply that placed bottom of the mainboard.
3. Take the power supply out, and look for the Regulator IC with the code TOP256YN ( according type of the projector LCD )
4. Replace these Regulator IC so the problem fixed.
5. Finish and reassemble the projector LCD

Turn ON the printer to the save mode. Before reset the printer please to turn ON the printer but into the save mode, follow the following steps.
1. Turn off the printer
2. After the printer OFF, press and hold the STOP button
3. Press and hold the Power button
4. Release the STOP button ( Don't release the Power button )
5. Press the STOP button 7 times
6. Release the Power button

2. Open the file you have downloaded, Service Tool V3400.

4. Click Set button of Ink Absorber Counter, the printer will blinking a time.
5. Click EEPROM button so the printer will printing again a page
6. Finished, Turn off the printer and turn ON again, the printer will work well.

The Laptop Splashed by Water

Ini adalah kerusakan yang sering terjadi pada beberapa printer ( canon biasanya ), dimana pas di suruh ngeprint kertasnya tidak bisa masuk atau kalopun masuk cuma sebelah saja sehingga kertasnya nggumpal dan nge-jump kemudian menyebabkan lampu printer nge-blink.
Nah berdasarkan pengalaman saya hal seperti itu disebabkan oleh kotoran yang masuk kedalam rooler melalui tempat kertas ( sebelah atas ). Seperti kita tahu model tempat kertas Printer canon yang model baru2 kan di atas tuh, jadi kotoran mudah saja masuk dan menyelinap ke rooler dan menyebabkan kertas tidak bisa masuk.
Cara membenahinya adalah dengan mengecek ruang kertas dan rooler dari dalam atau untuk lebih mantapnya bungkar cesing printer yang atas dan bersihkan area ruang kertas dan rooler. Pembersihan bisa menggunakan kuas lembut atau menggunakan alat lain yang aman. Pastikan tidak ada lagi kotoran yang ada di dalam. Ruang kertas yang dimaksud adalah seperti terlihat pada gambar disamping. Setelah bersih pasang kembali cesing printer seperti sebelumnya dan lakukan self test ( nge-print tanpa menggunakan computer ) dengan cara seperti di bawah ini :

Colokkan Kabel Listrik dan nyalakan printer dan pastikan lampu tidak nge-blink
Tekan tombol resume 5 kali dan tunggu sampai printer nge-print sendiri dan pastikan kertas bisa masuk semua

4. At Wireless network connection double clicks it
5. Lecf click Properties and left click Advanced

By sliding your finger on the touch pad , you can move the pointer on the computer screen.

With the pointer on your desired item or object, press the left button zone or the right button zone to execute various commands or display menus

Zone Description

1 : Active zone Slide your finger on this zone to move the pointer.

2 : Vertical scroll zone Slide your finger vertically on this zone to scroll up and down

3 :Left button zone Press anywhere on this zone to left-click.

4 : Right button zone Press anywhere on this zone to right-click.

Point, Slide your finger on the active zone to place the pointer on an item or object.

Be sure to connect a mouse before disabling the touch pad. If you disable the touch pad before connecting a mouse, you will be able to use only the keyboard for pointer operations.

Repairing IP2770 Printer all paper loaded

Just now, my user have coming with a canon printer IP1880 that error. Error indication of this printer is loading all paper when printing. If there are 2 papers and printing process begin so all papers will loaded by printer. Before my user take his printer to my workshop he still using this printer, but always put a paper on the printer.
I have repaired this printer and success. If you find the same problem follow the steps below :
1. Open the upper case
2. Look for a rubber well upper of paper place, this well serves to draw in the paper.
3. This rubber well have a claps, and this claps have broken, so you should replace with other normal rubber well. Disassemble the printer to lift up this rubber well.

If you don't want to replace this rubber well, you can replace a claps with a bolt, this is alternative economical solver. Also, i have done this alternative solver to repair this problem.

How to disassamble head cartridge T20

To disassamble head cartrtidge of Epson T20 or C90 printer please follow the steps below :

Picture 1

1. Remove bolt ( see picture 1 above ( "1" and "2" ))
2. Lift cartridge locker ( see picture 1 above ( "2" )) after remove locker 3 on right side ( "lock 3" )
3. Lift up connector protector ( see picture above ( "4" ))
4. Lift cartridge connector ( see picture 1 above ( "3" )), push both locker left and right side to lift this connector
5. After step 4, you will see cable connector connecting head cartridge to mainboard
6. Lift up head cartridge ( see picture above ( "5" )), Don't forget to unplug cable connector if you want to take head cartridge to cleaned or other action.

Repairing Epson T20 printer blinking green lamp. This error means that cartridge head not working normally or not detected.
To release this error i have tried some steps and success. Follow the following steps :

1. Turn off printer
2. Unplug electric power source cable
3. Open upper case of epson T20 printer
4. Disassemble home cartridge. Do this step to take out cartridge head ( buttom of cartridge tube )
5. Take out cartridge head carefully
6. Look up the cable plug in head cartridge, clean from ink. To do this step you can using water. Take out cartridge head and dip into water until clear.
7. Re-Assamble all component and try to turn ON T20 printer.

If the steps above not working, do the following steps :
1. Open upper case of T20 printer and take out printer board ( mainboard )
2. Look for component with symbol " F ", chek one by one. This component is Fuse.
3. If you found the Fuse that have broken, replace with other normal fuse
4. Re-assemble mainboard and try to turn ON the printer.
