Frequently communicates with onshore base. Instructs and supervises drilling services provided by contractors. Inspects and checks drilling rig, equipment, material stock, and work performance of onboard crew, and instructs service contractors repair and maintenance activities on the rig.

2. Reviews and checks drilling and workover programmes. Ensures procurement of services and material supplies in accordance with approved operation programmes. Provides drilling service contractor with detailed operational procedures and requirements at every step of drilling and workover operations. Requests and instructs to onshore base for logistic supporting activities. Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Company’s safety policies and procedures.

3. Prepares and delivers daily drilling and workover operation report including various drilling parameters, material supply and consumption, costs, and other associated information.

4. Ensures that Contractor maintains the rig and their equipment at maximum efficiency minimizing down-time and the KJO’s materials and equipment are properly utilized, handled and stored.

PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

The primary responsibility of the engineer will be:
Design of complex electro-mechanical systems in the context of oil & gas industry (manufacturing of OCTG).
Proper documentation of the designs, so that contract manufacturers can deliver finished assemblies.

Skill Requirements :
Excellent understanding of control theory & systems, sensors and instrumentation.

Demonstrated understanding of modern electro-mechanical systems: hydraulic-pneumatic actuator systems, motors, pumps etc.

Knowledge of PLC and experience with Data Acquisition with Labview/Matlab or similar systems is a must.

Basic understanding of fluid dynamics, solid mechanics, heat transfer and engineering mathematics.

Familiarity with CAD and Engineering simulation softwares will be advantages.

Skilled
at integrating and applying systems or devices incorporating modern
microelectronics, information technologies and modern engineering tools
for product design, development and manufacturing.
Experience Requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree in Mechatronics Engineering from accredited university.

5+ years documented experience in a related engineering professional field.

Matured
professional who can communicate effectively with team members and
demonstrate the ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams
to achieve design and project objectives with tight datelines.

Good command of english language (written & spoken).

Able
to understand and demonstrate his/her responsibility to this profession
and society in a global, ethical and contemporary context. and who are
prepared for and realize the importance of life long learning.

General Qualifications :

v More than 10 years experience in Oil & Gas Field.

v University or college
graduate in Mechanical or Civil / Structural Engineering.

v Proficiency in the use of general computer softwares such as MS Office, AutoCad, MathCad etc.

v Good command of written and spoken English.

Capabilities in undertaking the following engineering activities are essential :

General Qualifications :

v Minimum of 5 years experience in related field

v The experience should include knowledge in all facets of pipeline and facilities engineering, with a well-developed knowledge of general upstream Oil & Gas engineering principles and practices.

v Ability to work in a team with multinational environment

v Plan, schedule, and conduct broad and /or technically complex engineering assignments requiring judgment, independent evaluation, selection and significant adaptation & deviation from
standard techniques & procedures.

v Develop, plan, evaluate, and recommend solutions for difficult problems.

v Dynamic and enthusiastic approach is essential.

v Experience in working for an international design contractor and experience in Oil and Gas industry.

v Having excellent English communication skill (oral & writing)
