Here is my card creation for

Gecko Galz April 2025 Card Challenge

I still struggle putting sentiments on cards, I like that it can be used for anything.

Doodled the background with colours from the main focal point.

Really happy how it came out :)

GECKO GALZ CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE OCTOBER 2024

2024-10-29T23:43:00.003+10:30

As always I lost track of the time, and it took me a lot longer than I thought to get the black lines somewhat equal. Not quite what I had in my head, but I did like how it turned out.

This is for Gecko Galz Oct 24 Christmas Challenge Just thought Id show I made an attempt.

Couldn't find my gold word stickers so did a digital sentiment on the photo to show what I would have liked.

Thank you for a fun challenge :)

Hi friends

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge is back - bit more laid back - we don't have sponsors so have the freedom to use any images we choose. Just go with what we want to use at the time.

I am hoping to add more during the month, if my mojo stays and it fits the theme

The challenge can be found HERE

I used a fun freebie from Paulette over at her Facebook Group

Free Printables For your Junk Journaling with TLC

MAY 23 STEAMPUNK GECKO GALS

2023-05-28T02:11:00.001+09:30

Here is my entry into this month's SteamPunk Challenge over at Gecko Gals.

You might not be able to see but I made the background out of strips of card which sort of reminded me of a quilt, and added faux stitiching on the edges.

Around the image I added a glitter sheen but it didnt show up.

Was relaxing to make the background for this.

JAN 2023 MINI CHALLENGE AT INCY WINCY DESIGNS CHALLENGE

2023-01-15T20:31:00.008+10:30

Hello friends :)

Happy New Year!!

The plan is to be more present on the blog this year - try and use that mojo a bit more.
Ive missed my crafting the last few years - but life happens as you know!!

The first challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs this year is a MINI CHALLENGE.
I kind of forgot to give the Design Team some time off so the last challenge went a bit longer just so everyone wasnt rushing about. So you have 10 DAYS!!! your designs have to be posted on your blog or social media between 15th and 25th January 2023.

Our generous sponsor this time is new to Incy - TLC Designs and their artist owner Tammy kindly gave us 4 sets to play with. As team is quite short at the moment (read right to the bottom of the post) I decided to use 2 images and do 2 projects. Each of the kits come with a sketch you can try to do - I tried my best. I cant believe how small I made the circle in the first project lol. Ah well, worse things to worry about hey!!

This one is full of cute images and lovely papers!!

(yellow paper was mine not in the kit) and it looks better in real life. I absolutely adore snails and had a picture in my head. Book cover I did didnt quite go with the picture in my head, but the blues and Purples are gorgeous <3

using

Sketch EZ #111

I have to admit I absolutely LOVE how this came out. I am my worst critic and I am never really satisfied with anything I do, and I photograph it and it looks worse!! But this one is so pretty. All the pinks make it so soft and comforting. Arent the mice adorable <3

using
Sketch EZ #106

MINI CHALLENGE - 10 DAYS ONLY!!!!!!

CUTE AND/OR PASTEL COLOURS

and you can win
$10 Gift Card

So did you remember I asked to read further down the page?
I would LOVE some new Design Team members for Incy Wincy.
Go to the main blog and grab the email to show your interest

Enjoy your day and see you soon :)

Incy Wincy December 2022 - Christmas +/or Movement

2022-12-03T20:58:00.001+10:30

Hello friends,

This month at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge, I had the fun of choosing the themes.

I chose Christmas and/or Movement/

As not everyone celebrates Christmas I decided I would choose something that can be interpreted in a lot of ways!! Can be movement in a picture - or movement in a physical object

This is the image I used - I made it into a 3d project by "removing" one layer at a time
ZEN: MANDALA #2

Which you can find along with lots of other things at MIRTILLAMENTE CRAFT SHOP

I decided I would get the mandala and make it into a 3d cluster - and these ones I have put on string so they can be hung from either the Christmas Tree, or anywhere in a room to add a pop of colour.

I have some other ideas of things I can do - hopefully they turn out ok

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Hugs, Heather

Gecko Girls go Gothic Nov 2022

2022-11-14T15:06:00.000+10:30

Hello everybody
Although its a Gothic Challenge - I reckon at Christmas time a bit of glitter and colour may pop out.

So I used the free image from Gecko Girls and had some relaxation whilst colouring the skull baubles with my glitter gel pens. Then I cut around the tree and added it to a white backing so it would stand out a little from the dark background. Added some colour to the dots down the right hand side to tie it all together

Gecko Girls Gothic Challenge November 2022

So here is what I did, I hope you like it

INCY WINCY SPECIAL CHALLENGE NOV 2022

2022-11-01T18:30:00.047+10:30

Hello everyone :)

This month at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge we have a special event - you can find the info at the blog - or below on this post (but you must enter on the Mr Linky on the blog :)

Because of Sheri's story, our themes for this challenge were chosen by Maria Giselle, and she chose GIVE THANKS or ENCOURAGE A FRIEND.

Of course this should be something we do everyday without hesitation, but it never harms to make it a collective celbration.

I chose to use Bloomtangled ATCs
which as you may have noticed I have used the images in square shapes more than ATC shapes, which goes to show that not everything has to be used as intended.

I wanted to showcase the image and not take away from it by too much other stimuli. I have my handmade tea stained paper as a backing shape to take away from the lined decorative papers.

The sentiments I made bold so they stood out.

These are fun images I will use again (there is 3 in the set, sorry 1 isnt shown)
I have different ideas for colouring the images.

Thank you for reading (please read further down for the stoy behind this, and also a special treat for Incy Wincy Fans!!!

Take care, Heather

GECKO GIRLS SEPTEMBER CHALLENGES (scroll for all images)

2022-09-25T18:10:00.004+09:30

Hello - hope you are well

Creativity has been on the back burner for a long while and I am slowly getting back into a bit here and there.

Gecko Girls have several challenges every month and as I was fortunate enough to win a year long subscription last year - I wanted to do a little something as I get back to normality.

As always my photography sucks -(need to find my little light box)- so as always my apologies for that.

Instead of doing several posts I will put them all together.

I make little notebook covers these days - dont tend to send cards (when I remember it is too late)

My wish for 2023 is to be able to create more and be able to experiment with lots of different things.

I will label each picture for what challenge I am adding them to

SEPTEMBER 2022 GOTHIC CHALLENGE

The idea for the background is sort of a roof of an old house.

SEPTEMBER 2022 STAMP CHALLENGE

I removed the words and did a zentangle design on the pumpkin.
Coloured in gel pens - looks quite dull here but not so much in real life

SEPTEMBER 2022 IMAGE CHALLENGE

The white background looks quite stark here.... realised I forgot to edge the main background.
Oh well. Coloured her blouse to match the edge of the green paper

SEPTEMBER 2022 CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE

Enhanced the colours of the original with Crayola Take Note markers.

Made some details pop to match the "snowflakes" around the image

Hoping to add something for the Steampunk challenge - will see what I can work out.

Thank you for stopping by

Have a wonderful day

Heather

Gecko Girls May 2022 stamp challenge

2022-05-29T15:23:00.000+09:30

I needed to get my mind off of life, and saw this colouring challenge. Nothing exciting, and I kind of regret the green background - but it is what it is :)

Here is my entry to the Gecko Girls May stamp Challenge

Hopefully this will get the mojo going and I can start to do more than just colour...... time will tell.

Thank you if you came by, have a wonderful day

Heather
