Last night I got a weird dream. Here it goes:

Oh no! Alien invasion! They are killing people around with super laser beam! So I have to get away from houses and city, and hide in the jungle~

So, what should I pack? Food! A lot of food! And also shirts! I packed my backpack and sling bag with food and shirts, and ready to leave the house.

Hey wait! My tennis racquet! Newly bought, used twice only, should I take together? And also my skates, I love it so much, but it's heavy! Em, maybe I can skate away when alien see me? No, no way. And also my computer! Perhaps I need to take out the hard disk and leave the rest, and also my Windows Vista DVD~

....

And I woke up, realize everything is just a dream, then it's time to start my day.

Haiz, never thought in the key moment, I still think of these stuff... But if it's real, I will take a lot of food, some shirt, sharp weapons, laptop, and camera, haha~

Melaka Day 3 -- Beach

Recall the last time I went beach, is during my Foundation study around Aug 2006. Although I live in Penang, has plenty of chance to go beach, but due to unknown reasons, I just never been to beach, listen to sea, touch the sand for this long of time.

I went the beach once years ago, and it's still clean, still peace. Walk on the sand, walk in the water side, feel the wave.

See a sudden hole in the sand, then will dig it out and find is there is any creature in it, but every time it's nothing, don't know how the hole formed.

This is continue from Melaka Day 1.

Guess most visitors to Melaka will NEVER miss the icons, like St. Paul Church, A' Famosa, Jonker Street etc. I visited the places several times while I still in Melaka, but everything still fresh for me. Hao is among us who never been Melaka before, he was STPM intake and never attend Foundation course in MMU Melaka.

Rented a car to go on.
First we asked for taxi.

Me: bang, sini pi DP berapa?
Driver: DP ar... RM20!
Me: Har? Dulu saya belajar sini baru RM12. Satu tahun naik sampai RM20 ar?
Driver: ini macam la, you boleh tanya saya punye boss.

SO we don't take taxi, they all crazy! Instead, we rent a car from MMU staff, 1 hour for RM6.

This is one thing that never exist when I left Melaka. It's a paronama viewer that enough to view the whole Melaka.

Melaka Day 1 -- Warm UP.

Ha, I was offline for 3 days, missing from busy life, no homework, no online notes, no event's pressure.

After left Melaka in May 2007, I never go back there. (Actually once, but for DJ Club Promotion, no time to look around at all.) So last week during lunch, a sudden "desire" pass by our mind, we decided to go down Melaka for the weekend~

3 guys Down South
Me, Su, and Hao, straight drove down there from Cyberjaya after Friday class, and to my surprise, it just spent 1 and half hour at average 125km\h!

On the way~

Ixora and U-Center! A lot of new shop lots opened, and the same old shops before I left Melaka still remain there, like U-Center Food Court, U-Center Minimart, Habib Mamak Shop etc.

Emerald Park. Now divided into 2 parts, 1 remain as EP, another became co-ed Apartment that can be rented long term (months) or short term(days).

The day we went there MMU IT Society was organizing IT Fair, and that IT Fair is BIGGER than PIKOM IT Fair in Melaka, as usual.

FOSEE Classroom! Miss the seat so much.

This is Falix's terantula, she got a big fat ass, and very lazy to walk around. Oh ya, forgot to say, during the 3 days, we stayed at Falix house, thanks!

When the time I left Melaka, there was nothing: no cinema(MP that one not counted), no entertainment; now they have 2 cinemas, 1 with largest screen in Malaysia! Damn it!

This is MBO, I guess it stand for Melaka Box Office. Not very typical cinema design, Hao said it looks like casino... But not bad, quite a lot movie chasers.

From Falix house at MMU Corner (food court name), we walked to MBO at Melaka Mall, just need 20 minutes, so near! When I say near, I mean compare to Cyberjaya, from my house walk to my faculty needs more than 15 minutes!

Hancock, we watch. I always love Will Smith's movie, this one doesn't disappoint me too.

So first day was passed with MMU Re-Tour and Melaka Mall visit, then slept, the time was 3am!

MMU wants to impose RM100 IT Charge!

In MMU (Money Making University), since the new Press-it-turn, the so called Prof. Dr. Zaharin bitch Yusoff taken over the throne, the people of this land has been devastated.

We have been planned to impose RM100 for EVERY students in MMU, for IT Charge, which include MMLS, Online System, Internet connection.

This is totally ridiculous. During the talk session between us and president, he talk a lot of cocks, more than KFC cocks. Some very "classic" lies are:

1) MMU have no PROFIT. (F**K you!)
2) The cost are use to upgrade the server system. (so after the server upgraded, you won't charge us anymore? Or you need to upgrade the server every year?)

etc. (I left half way due to another class going on)

This talk session was started at 3PM, which is the peak hour that most students are having their class.

Are you MMU getting dumb ass? So if less students can attend, less person can talk the FACT with you? You have no HONOR Mr. Press-It-Turn.

My thought:
Arab Saudi is an oil exporter country, so their people benefit from their dirt cheap oil price, cheaper than mineral water; TM (or Telekom Malaysia) claim themselves as so called "leader" in Malaysia Broadband Service Provider, but can't even provide it's university students with free Internet and IT services, why?

IT Salary has the sharpest increment this year!

According to Kelly Service Annual National Salary Survey, Information Technology sector and oil and gas sector are having the sharpest increment in salary, which their base salary increase by 30%**(from The Star Daily), and also introduced A LOT of new job title in IT sector.

Do this prove that my previous "joking theory" about increased oil price will kill IT employee is totally wrong? Maybe, haha.

It's good to see this result, as the employment is also increasing. It shows that IT sector in Malaysia is not going opposite direction, but is growing, rapidly.

The funny thing is, IT students are so little... And maybe demand and supply theory, not enough graduates to support the industry, so the salary increase to attract more people in IT....?

Many people choose IT at the beginning not because they want it, I believe half of it is because of their SPM result is not sufficient to take engineering or other courses, so they just choose IT blindly.

But wise say: "Without interest, it's very difficult to success".

Work hard for it, high salary == high pressure.

How old am I?

I just passed my 20th birthday last month.

However, does it means that I am 20 year-old?

Yesterday I tried a biological age calculator in Alamanda Putrajaya, and it showed that my biological age is....

What? Guess la!

16 only!

So I am actually still not yet 20! Wow!!

Do this is good sign?
But a 4 year different with actual age is not a very proud thing. The analyst told me that I lack of nutrition, not enough eat, bla bla bla, which I can say, I can eat a lot like no one can imagine, and I eat according to nutrition balance, so don't tell me I lack of nutrition.

Here are some data from the device:
Body weight: 45kg
Fat percentage: 9.6% (essential to dissolve vitamin A, D, E and K)
Muscle weight: 38kg (84%, not bad~, does it means muscular? haha)
Heart fat index: 1 (healthiest)
Bone density index: 2.X (not very good)
Carbohydrate intake: 1140 kCal (normal is 1400kCal)

............

7 or 8 person of us take the test, and quite accurate, means those fat people get very high biological age, and those skinny like me get younger, normal get closer age.

Why is there such free test?
Of course, nothing is free. If it's free, means someone is trying to take your money. The lady who did the test for us later start promoting her nutrition products, which I don't give any attention, because the lady is FAT (means the product is not effective to maintain your health)

Software Engineering

What make me choose Software Engineering?

My dad want me to study medic, which is not my profession, so I never consider it. Thanks to my dad who respect my decision.

So I choose Engineering. Which engineering?

First I choose Civil Engineering, because of 1 article. "Malaysia is a developing country, so we need civil engineering to build infrastructure and building.....", but think twice, it's so difficult to find job currently, bullshit.

Second, I choose Electronic Engineering, because of plenty of vacancies. But too many friends choose this course, make me feel not special. And now I glad I didn't choose it.

Third, I want something that can be do solo, flexible, and high creativity. IT is the one. But, which one should I choose? Since previously I choose engineering, so this one should make it Engineering too.

Here born: Software + Engineering = SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Simple reason huh? Sounds like a stupid who never thought much while making decision.

So I actually choose Software Engineering before I choose MMU.

And from Software Engineering, I choose MMU.

And thanks god I do made this decision.

第一次听就觉得很像我的写照，也许也是大多数人的写照。

If you given a second chance, how you want to change your past?

I always tell myself, never regret in all my decision. Actually this is more like what human use as an excuse when fail a certain things, but in fact, it is the best way of thinking I have now.

Proposal Daisakusen, プロポズ大作戦, or Operation Love, a very nice Japanese Drama.

The design looks childish, but the story is very meaningful.

Synopsis
It's about a guy, Iwase Ken, who always think there is tomorrow, and wasted a lot of chances to propose to a girl that he admired since childhood. On her wedding, he is not the bridegroom, feel so regret and want to have second chance to change everything. A sudden magic sent him back to time where he has second chance to propose to the girl.

Today's Thought
I do missed a lot of beautiful scene, and I know I can't go back and look at it again. What I can do is to prevent any beautiful scene pass by my shoulder again without my notice.

Yesterday, Lean Choon invited me to join(not participate) the annual Interschool Karate-Do Tournament, but for some reason, I end up became a judge... haiz.

See the junior competing Kata (a set of movement) and free sparring, make me recalled back my old time training with my friends, my trainer, and joining all in-school, interschool, national tournament, very fun.

Now in MMU, I stopped my training, due to busy university life and other reasons.

These pictures make me feel young, yet old...

A sudden increment of RM0.78 cents per liter, became RM 2.70 per liter. All this burden will put on the people -- Malaysians.

People said, Malaysia as petrol exporter, but can't provide her people with cheaper price. Em, what is cheaper price? Do RM2.70 consider cheap? Depends with who to compare.

With previous price, it's definitely expensive, but if compare with Singapore, China, etc, RM2.70 is still the cheapest price in Asia.

Cheap, but still expensive for Malaysian!
Yes, it's cheap if make such comparison, but for average Malaysians with less than RM2000 per household, is consider high.

See how the chain reaction affect IT employees:

1. Petrol price increase.

2. Transportation cost increase.

3. Almost everything that rely on transportation increase, include cost that delivered from factory to hypermarket.

4. Service sector like IT and Hospitality hard to adjust their cost, because the only main raw material for them is time and their people.

5. With their salary remain, but their living cost increase, they have to plan very very well for their every steps.

6. Salary can't adjust much but productivity have to maintain or increase, IT employees will work under high stress.

7. High stress from work can lead to: hair loss, hot temper, etc.

Is this true? Those real IT people out there please correct me if wrong.

Inappropriate Inflation
10 cents increment for 1kg flour, lead to 20~40 cents of increment for Gardenia bread, so I boycotted them for half year.

Mandarin -- Most Native Speakers Language

I just updated my knowledge about the most widely native used language in the world. Guess what? Is mandarin!

While my all-time-favorite secondary language, English is rank world no.3, unbelievable? Maybe, I don't have real travel experience, not sure most what most people around the world is speaking. So this discovery make me feel proud, as I can speak and write Mandarin, fluently!~

Malay as my country -- Malaysia's national language, is ranked 53. And I admit my worst language is Malay, no offence.

Here is the list of language according to number of native speakers:

Wow, number's of languages in the world are so many. Will globalization kill those less-used languages in the future? It's up to the race to protect their own language.

Take Note:
This list is the language base on the most widely used native language, means the language that used as primary language.

Mandarin estimated has 882 million native, 178 million as secondary language, total = 1.05 billion.

While English estimated 375 million native, 1125 million as secondary language, total = 1.5 billion.

If counted with secondary language, English is still the world most widely used CURRENTLY.

I realize I didn't post comment about this incident in my blog, my friend's blog, media, etc.

But every time I see the picture and listen the news from media, I try to control me tear.

Why? Because the background music? Because the reporters are good? Maybe, but what make me so emotional, is I never see so many Chinese from the whole world gather together, donate money, donate materials, help out at First Line.

I strongly agree, China's leader Wen Jia Bao is a very good leader, respect.

Value of Life
From this disaster, I realize the value of life. No matter the peoples or bodies buried under the collapsed building are someone the rescuers know or not, but they try so hard day and night non stop to get them out. 20 days had passed since the disaster, and the chance of survive is approaching zero, but rescue team never stop.

This is not just a Trend.
Most of the time, people only care of an incident when media post about it. When media stop talking the news, people become cold out.

For most of us who're so lucky, when media stop talking about it, public stop collecting fund for it, so people start to forget it.

But, not for thousands of children, old parents, and handicapped people who lost their everything, EVERYTHING.

Human nature.

Most cool machines, cool gadgets, people just like (love) to call them "she", example, "the ship is sinking! She is sinking!", or "this sport car is my wife".

I call my PC a "she", and her name is "Hungry PC", and my skate is my wife too, although don't have a name yet.

Actually do you know that even hand phone has gender? From TienSoon new techblog, I found that my phone, Sony Ericsson K600 has a codename, Mirai.

Cute name?

Her name is Mirai.

And for another popular SE phone W810 is Helen.

The Ended of Beta Chapter

It's fast, the time is fast. Beta year of MMU study has ended.

Remember first time I am here, WE used to say "Melaka Sucks!", seniors in Melaka always describe here as Desert; in term of entertainment, Melaka really sucks, but that is not a big problem for me, as I don't require so much cinema and Starbucks; but in term of food, Cyberjaya is expensive and very little choice... And I love Melaka for food.

Summary of Beta
I have gain a lot, and of course lose some, but all these 'property' I do treasure well, to write down on blog so can remember forever; of course not all can be written here, but I try very hard not to forget any page of this story.

Friends
This is the most interesting part. From Melaka to Cyberjaya, Friends break apart by a 200km(??) highway. Here IT friends are Aaron the Black, Ramesh the Milo, Su the Milk, Kok Ming the Cocker etc, not much.

In first semester, all my classes has many 'people', but I don't know them~ Some I think are together from Melaka, some are so-called-seniors who fail the same subject N-times.

After joining CLS Orientation Camp, my friend's list fold to 5 times more, and because of the camp, YCS formed, soon 1 year anniversary.

Everything happen with a reason

A lot of my friends are made after an event: discussions, group works, club activity, etc. In class, although study for 3 semester, I still can't know all names, or at least some popular one.

Thanks to group work, I know Leekian, Teressa, hao ming etc.
Thanks to club activities, I know Xuan Hao, SiouKee, Bobby, Eddy, Lens, Johnny... Too many, don't blame me to left some of you out.

And because of these friends, we have a small inline skates community~

Academic
The hater part.

After entering beta year, I realize university is no more like secondary school. But in Alpha year I still feel same like secondary school, haha.

Screwing subjects is my current profession, especially the latest final exam. Although previous result still consider not bad, still maintain above CGPA 3, but it's dropping slowly, slowly.

Love the time rushing assignments, making my programs work, writing report. It makes my life feel less empty.

And now I know more about myself, my strong ability, my weak ability, my study style, timing, requirement, target.

So, I still have control of it.

My House
A lot people don't know where is Cyberia Cresent. I have to describe like: "in front MMU one ah, the colorful wall one ar~", then people will reply: "oh~~".

My house is beautiful, no wall facing direct sun shine, in front my balcony is a land of trees and forest, sometimes can see squirrel playing hide and seek in the bushes right in front my house.

My room is big, the biggest room in the house. I am smart, paying the same price, but getting my private washroom(but sometimes other may use it), big area, with balcony, 2 fans, 2 lights.

Aiya, forgot to mention, no borders, no walls, and the house door is my room door. Yes, I staying in living room~

My house has 6 persons: Su, Yeoh, Jia Syan, Jing Xiang aka Ah Kong, and OTG, one more? Me lo. All engineering students except me and Su.

My Love Story
Once upon a time, there is a little girl...... haven't start yet, no story, maybe next chapter?

Conclusion
So, this is summary of Beta, gain and loss, is the brick of building dream castle, every moment is so valuable; Like solving puzzle, every pieces are so important, cannot lost one.

I am still very glad I choose MMU, I am still very lucky to know you.

At last, my exam that continued for 2 weeks, ended.

I being very stress out, although some people do thing I am 'god like', which is not.

Now declare the beginning of long 3 weeks holiday, and waiting for the result.

No matter how is the result, I am in my best, my BEST.

This is a photo I took, while talking to my friend on phone, Hao Ming tear his Machine Architecture paper into pieces, I just laughed out on the phone!

Thanks to friends who chatted with me and encouraged me when I felt so stress. Good luck and enjoy your holiday, you deserve it.

Although it ended, seems like what I want already achieved, but I feel it's a kind of empty, shouldn't feel in this way.
