Brand avareness and brand equity

Brand awareness:
An important way of promoting commodity-related products. This is because for these products, there are very few factors that differentiate one product from its competitors. Therefore, the product that maintains the highest brand awareness compared to its competitors will usually get the most sales.

For example, in the soft drink industry, very little separates a generic soda from a brand-name soda, in terms of taste. However, consumers are very aware of the brands Pepsi and Coca Cola, in terms of their images and names. This higher rate of brand awareness equates to higher sales and also serves as an economic moat that prevents competitors from gaining more market share.

Brand equity:
An intangible value-added aspect of a particular good that is otherwise not considered unique.

Brand equity is created through aggressive mass marketing campaigns. Good examples of companies with strong brand equity are corporations such as Nike and Coca-Cola, whose corporate logos are recognized worldwide.

That is what we are seeing in Second Life a lot of virtual products with very few factors that differentiate one product from its competitors or a lot of new services, new companies, organizations that are doing similar things. World is big and when you think of some idea there is very high possibility that someone thought of it before. When you' re starting a new business you will probably soon realize that you'll get a lot of competitors. The only way your business can survive and make progress is to connect, cooperate and provide better(new) service for people (competitive prices, nicer products, better environment...) and quality staff. Most important things at building a business are brand equity, networking, having a good vision and expansion plan.

There are many advertising services in Second Life with more or less different approach to advertising. AdServers and boards are ready. We already begin placing those boards on affiliated lands and are we are also getting more affiliates.

This is the 2nd step of our affiliate marketing project (increasing brand awareness and traffic, creating brand equity and advertise for our clients). It starts now.

Advertisments from our affiliates and clients will be periodicaly projected on every affiliated land, attracting target public and increasing our affiliates and clients traffic + wallets.
We are actively expanding and getting more affiliates (as our goal is to cover larger part of Second Life). Everyone that joins us, benefits. Make sure you did a proper work on your LOGO (brand, texture, picture --> advertisment) before you decide to hire our service; as that is the most important factor which helps common rezident to decide where he want to go and where to spent his $ lindens.

OUR PRICE for CLIENTs:
10$L per board and 11.5$L per place;
total: We are starting with 150$L/week (7 affiliated places) + hit budget (when a rezident clicks on their advertisment 1$L is debited from hit budget; what is left of hit budget when advertising campaigne ends is automaticly returned back to client ).

*As we get more affiliated revenues (places where we put our board with periodicaly displaying advertisments of our clients) the price will stay the same until we reach 12 affiliate places , then we'll recalculate 21.5 X (number of places with ad board)$L. We will let you know everytime we do this, but we will keep our prices lowest as possible because again our goal is to expand with speed to cover larger part of Second life in shortest time as possible not to have few places and put high prices for advertising.

Rapid expansion is only possible with having lowest prices as possible, high transparency and efficiency of our service. Your succes is also our succes (you grow we grow) and that is becoming our moto at W2SLW. We are highly cooperative company and we are doing our best to offer a quality and measurable service for you. We are effective and professional. We do not want to take advantage on your more or less succesful business. We want to help growing your business and expand it as much as possible. Free advertising and discounts for our affiliates:
We reward our affiliates well for cooperating with us.

1)Every affiliate has an advertisment at both of our portals (W2SLW1 and W2SLW2)

2) We are periodicaly displaying advertisments of our affiliates trough (board on all of our revenues/affiliated places). Every week for another one and it goes in circle trough all our affiliates non-stop.

I also give a discount on our advertising service (33% ) to an affiliate that wants for his ad to be seen even more. (this discounts is bigger for affiliates that contributes more then 1 place)
For example: For ad on 7-12 places ordinary client pays 150$L per week, affiliate just 100$L.. When we double the amount of our revenues with our affiliate network and have a board (for example on) 24 places affiliate only pays 350 $L instead ordinary client price 520$L per week.

With this affiliate network + object-server system (maintained by Nikolas March also known as UR scripting master of Nikos systems) and our desire for expansion we build largest cooperating advertising system which is to cover largest part of Second life.

W2SLW testing

Yesterday in the night (my time) we've tested the multi ad displayer system Nikolas March made. This system is connected with external server which communicates with objects in Second Life (in this case with our board). Nikolas March showed out like a very talented LSL scripter. He successfully connected board with his server and everything worked fine with minor bugs that he immidietly fixed. This means that W2SLW project portal will become fuly operational very soon. With this system and our affiliate network we will be able to cover larger parts of Second life and everyone will benefit from it.

1st and primary place where we organize places into groups, collect and distribute various information. This place will evolve in info-portal and as Window to SL makes progress there will be more and more info-portals across Second Life. I will add blog section to it and organize blogs into topic groups. I am inviting all active blogers to contact me and cooperate wih me. I am also inviting all land owners to consider joining our affiliate network.

There will be 2nd W2SLW portal on UR-SL property next to UR-SL offices. This will be first expansion of W2SLW project portal. There will be small weekly fee at 2nd portal for everyone that is not our affiliate. So having board at 2nd portal stays free only for our affiliates and educational, informational non-profit organizations.

We at UR-SL are creating an inworld database of Second life places. We are planing to get 1000 and more different Second Life locations with pictures and descriptions inworld at 1 or 2 locations for a start. I personaly strongly believe this inworld database will be very useful and amusing for Second Life rezidents as they will choose betwen different pictures and LOGOs that are representing different virtual activities of virtual and real life companies, innovators and virtual business owners. They will be able to navigate themself to that places and compare them with other similar service providers that will also be at our maintained inworld database. Our portal will cover all the places, from small shops, real estate businesses, tech, entertainment, virtual/RL corporations to educational and non profit organizations places.
*We are collecting Second Life places actively now and everyone is invited to add his place to it.

I am also thinking to add other special sections later. One of them will contain all virtual worlds and MMORPGs (EVE-online, Entropia Universe, World Of Warcraft...) with descriptions and to represent their virtual communities/clans/guilds/societies/groups, (their activities both business and not business related) including Second Life ones. There will be a section for different blogs too (boards that opens URLs) and websites and web-portals.

After that this is meant to evolve in information portal sites covering every area and aspect of virtual worlds evolution affecting on our lives. Idea is to create largest inworld virtual center points for rezidents to easily find information they need. Our goal is to grow big by collaborating and cooperating with others and I feel that UR-SLs way of doing it is just the right way.

Window to Second Life world project portal (W2SLW) is a virtual inworld portal. That I am building in association with UR-SL. It will provide SL rezidents new way to find a place of their interest and will become an important source of informations. Add your place to it now for a small one time fee of 30$L at our first location W2SLW project portal. You can also join our affiliate program.

I was looking for some sponsors back in December 2007 and I run into few very interesting people. One of them was Rasta Bourgoin - a successful businessman from Netherland that owns an UR-SL corporation with many (advertising, entertainment-artist-music/streaming and land rental) divisions UR-SL . In short UR-SL is network of cooperating individuals and businesses (inword and outworld). At some point later Rasta invited me to his UR-SL corporation. I became staff member of UR-SL Advertising division on Jan 23trd. I was given access to UR-SL intranet and gained business email address for wiliclip@ur-sl.net. At that point I got involved into virtual advertising. In the next days I've been reading a lot about different advertising strategies that are used on the web and by very successful big companies like Google, Yahoo, Amazon. With help of an programmer Nikolas March who is also an UR-SL staff member we created ad-boards connected to server for W2SLW that will display advertisments of our clients everywhere in Second Life where we will place our board (UR-SL with a lion on it).

I decided for affiliate marketing. That is a way virtual land owners and Window to SL advertising service can both benefit - I expand my revenues and increase our brand averness by placing our with server connected boards on affiliates land. So that our clients advertisments can be displayed trough all affiliated lands. I will be able to offer advertising to affiliates for compensation. All accounting of my advertising company will be transparent for all affiliates. Clients will pay weekly renting price for number of places they will chose to in advance (30 $L for each revenue per week) and they will add hit budget (1$L will be debited from their hit budget per residents click on their advertisment). This will provide certain metrics of our advertising efficiency because our clients will always be able to see how many residents clicked on their advertisment anytime by checking their click budget at place where we have ad servers. This is a scheme I created and for which I hope will help me to explain the strategy.

I believe that this system will work because:
1)Our affiliates can additionaly benefit from traffic they have on their land. (more affiliates we gain better are compensations)

2)We are cheaper, we will cover larger part of SL and we will provide quality low cost advertising with efficiency mesurment system to our clients. Some advertising companies are charging 500$L per week for a singular placeed ad board which is absurd.

3)If all goes well we can find ourself covering major part of Second Life at some point. This can be achieved only if we get a lot of affiliates and with keeping our prices competitive. This is a new aproach to virtual advertising that everyone can benefit from it. All our work is done trough agreements with all our affiliates that are forming affiliate network.
4) Every client and affiliate will be added to W2SLW project portal to be part of our growing inworld info-database of SL places.
