This was definitely not a race I was training for, but it fit into my training schedule so I decided to go ahead and do it. I had no intention of a new half marathon PR....but in the back of my head I was hoping for one. Based on the weekends events I am lucky I even finished.

I was planning on running 10 miles anyway, so I figured I could add 3.1 more without too much trouble. It is really hard not to focus on setting a new PR. It should be a very small race.....I hope there are a lot of water stations on the course.

New PR - Space Coast Marathon

I headed up to Cocoa on Saturday pretty early so I could pick up my race packet and check into the hotel before the FSU vs. Florida game started. I was almost tempted to actually take a tour….key word “almost.” My hotel was in Melbourne, so I decided to take the scenic route down to the hotel on A1A through Cape

Space Coast Marathon 2012

No turning back now. I registered for the Space Coast Marathon this Sunday, November 25th. I am beginning to question my sanity. The longest distance I have run since the Marine Corps Marathon in October is 8 miles.

I am heading up to Cocoa Beach on Saturday afternoon to pick up my race packet and check into the luxurious Holiday Inn Express. It should take me 3 hours or so to get up there,

Marathon or Football

I have been struggling over the last week to make a very important decision.
