Nom De Strip may seem like a new name on the scene to some but to us its one half of U.K. producers Stupid Fresh. We have been meaning to post about him for some time but just haven't done it. Kartell

Paris produces more great retro filter house than other city on the planet. With proof of this musical hypotheses is the city of light's Kartell. Thomas is caught in two minds it seems because on his remixes like that of Alex/Erol's 'Death Suite' and the original 'Better Vocals' Thomas Thierry shows a touch more club aggression than house love but on his other originals the doors get thrown open and the sun shines in to give us a great start to Spring. 'Get Down' is a remix from the track Mestizo by Joe Battan which bubbles over with disco flavor and dancefloor happiness. This unsigned talent should make some moves this year so keep checking back to what news emerges in the future for Kartell.

Four On The Floor

I thought it would be nice to kick off this St Paddy's Day with Tim Deluxe from North London (no doubt an Arsenal fan). Skint records released his 'Freedom' EP which perfectly executes tonight's style of choice. Jazz. Building and beautiful with lots of complex and glimmering chord progressions.

Anyone worth their salt knows about Made To Play records and once again they have a monster jazz induced dancefloor tinkler from the veteran producer from Germany. Having received much in the hype dept. from the likes of A-Trak, Riva Starr, Renaissance Man and ZDS lately Oliver $ is one to watch for '10.

Frontroom records has been featured here recently with some of the Siopis and Daniel Steinberg stuff that we have loved and here we get yet another glimpse of one our favorite labels of the new scene. Named after the Dizzy Gillespie/Charlie Parker's master piece Jamie honors the original in producing a off kilter keys breakdown that even Diz would love with all his logic..

The WILDLIFE! Of Beware + Motorpitch

Two artists that have been receiving alot of my eartime lately are Wildlife! and Beware + Motorpitch. Here I chose to feature them on the remix tip with the 09 EP 'Jumbie' from Wildlife! and the more recent El Toro!/Pororoca”, the debut single release from Viennese duo DJ's and Man Recordings operators Beware and partner in crime Motorpitch. .

B+M's cut shows us a funky dissonance blended with waterdrop echo pads and leads to the break which almost feels Sidney Samsonized but in much more bizarre way. (which is good of course.) The 'Porococa' are the tidal waves that rush into the Amazon river so naming the split EP after such a force can give you insight into whats coming your way. Just ask a local surfer for confirmation. This hyper club fine tuning of the cumbia/funky UK bassline action killed last weekend at the B2B party and I can't wait to play it loud soon.

The dancefloor is jammed right in front replete with mosh pit blood spit on the ceiling and air that is haunted by the specters of shows past..

AutoKratz 'Kick' EP / Kitsune
