The Qur'an Leads the Way to Science

God summons humanity to investigate and reflect upon the heavens, the earth, mountains, stars, plants, seeds, animals, the alternation of the night and the day, the creation of man, the rain and many other created things. Examining these, man comes to recognize the artistry of God's creation in the world around him, and ultimately, to know our Creator, Who created the entire universe and everything in it from nothing.

"Science" offers a method by which the universe, and all the beings therein, may be examined to discover the artistry in God's creation, thereby communicating it to mankind. Religion, therefore, encourages science, adopting it as a tool by which to study the subtleties of God's creation.

Religion not only encourages scientific study, but also permits that, supported by the truths revealed through Islam, scientific research be conclusive and expeditious. The reason being, that religion provides accurate and definitive answers as to how life and the universe came into being. As such, if initiated upon a proper foundation, research will reveal the truths regarding the origin of the universe and the organization of life, in the shortest time, and with minimum effort and energy. As stated by Albert Einstein, considered one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century, "science without religion is lame" , which is to say, that science, unguided by religion, cannot proceed correctly, but rather, wastes much time in achieving certain results, and worse, is often inconclusive.

Scientific studies pursued by materialist scientists unable to see the truth has, particularly in the last two hundred years, certainly caused a considerable amount of time to be squandered, a great deal of research to be pursued in vain and millions of dollars to have been poured down the drain to no effect.

There is one fact that must be recognized clearly: science can achieve reliable results only if it adopts as its main objective the investigation of the signs of creation in the universe, and strives solely towards this end. Science may reach its ultimate goal in the shortest possible time only if it is pointed in the right direction, that is, if it is rightly guided.

Religion Encourages Science

Islam is the religion of reason and conscience. A person recognizes the truth proclaimed by God through the use of his wisdom, but derives conclusions from the truth he has seen by following his conscience. A person using the faculty of his reason and conscience, upon examining the features of any given object in the universe, even though he be not an expert in such matters, would understand that it was created by a Possessor of great Wisdom, Knowledge and Might. And, while perhaps only discovering a few of the thousands of factors that render life possible on the earth, it is sufficient for him to understand that the world was designed to sustain life in it. Therefore, one who makes use of his reason and follows his conscience quickly apprehends the absurdity of the claim that the world came into being by chance. In brief, one who applies his mind by using these faculties recognizes God's signs in their full clarity. A verse refers to such people in the following manner:

Those who remember God, standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth:'Our Lord, You have not created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us from the punishment of the Fire. (Surat Al 'Imran: 191)

In the Qur'an, God calls on people to reflect upon and examine the signs of creation around them. The Prophet Muhammad, God's Messenger, peace be upon him, also enjoined people to acquire knowledge. He even stressed that it is our obligation to search for knowledge. We read the following authentic Ahâdîth :

Seeking of knowledge is incumbent upon every Muslim 1

Acquire the knowledge and impart it to the people. 2

Everyone who probes the inner-workings of the universe, living and non-living things, and considers and investigates what he sees around him, will come to know God's superior wisdom, knowledge, and eternal power. Some of the issues God invites man to ponder are pointed out in the following verses form the Qur'an:

Do they not look at the sky above them? How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to God). And We send down from the sky rain charged with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and grain for harvests; And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another. (Surah Qaf: 6-10)

The signs of the existence of God, the Exalted Creator, in the universe are clearly apparent to anyone who thinks and uses his wisdom and follows his conscience.

He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion will you see in the Creation of (God) Most Gracious. So turn your vision again: do you see any flaw? (Surat al-Mulk: 3)

Now let man but think from what he is created! (Surat at-Tariq: 5)

Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made? And at the Sky, how it is raised high? And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm? And at the Earth, how it is spread out? (Surat al-Ghashiyah: 17-20)

As the above verses make clear, God summons mankind to study and examine various aspects of the world, such as the heavens, rain, plants, animals, birth and geographical landmarks. One way to explore these is, as we previously mentioned, through science. Scientific observation introduces man to the mysteries of creation, and ultimately, to God's eternal knowledge, wisdom and power. Science is a way to achieve a just estimate of God, for which reason, throughout history, a great number of the scientists who have been of great service to humanity were devout believers in God.

Belief in God Makes Scientists Enthusiastic and Motivated

As we mentioned above, religion encourages science, and those who use their reason and follow their conscience in the pursuit of scientific research acquire a strong faith because they apprehend God's signs at close hand. They are confronted with a flawless system and a perfect subtlety created by God in every avenue of research they follow, and in every discovery they make. As Prophet Muhammad, God's Messenger, peace be upon him, said, they act by knowing that "One who goes out to search for knowledge is (devoted) to the cause of God till he returns." 3

A scientist conducting research into the eye, for instance, discovers, even upon recognizing its complex system, that it could never have come into being through a gradual process of coincidences. Further examination will lead him to realize that every detail in the structure of the eye is a miraculous creation. He sees that the eye is made up of dozens of components working together in harmony, thus increasing his wonder in God Who created it.

Similarly, a scientist investigating the cosmos will find himself immediately confronted with thousands of remarkable equilibria. He further gains a great thirst for knowledge upon discovering that billions of galaxies, and billions of stars within these galaxies, continue to exist in a grand harmony, in a vastness of space that has no limits.

As such, a man of faith becomes greatly enthralled and inspired to conduct scientific studies to uncover the mysteries of the universe. In one of his articles, Albert Einstein, considered the greatest genius of the previous era, referred to the inspiration scientists derive from religion:

…I maintain that the cosmic religious feeling is the strongest and noblest motive for scientific research. Only those who realize the immense efforts and, above all, the devotion without which pioneer work in theoretical science cannot be achieved are able to grasp the strength of the emotion out of which alone such work, remote as it is from the immediate realities of life, can issue. What a deep conviction of the rationality of the universe and what a yearning to understand, were it but a feeble reflection of the mind revealed in this world, Kepler and Newton must have had to enable them to spend years of solitary labour in disentangling the principles of celestial mechanics!

Those whose acquaintance with scientific research is derived chiefly from its practical results easily develop a completely false notion of the mentality of the men who, surrounded by a skeptical world, have shown the way to kindred spirits scattered wide through the world and the centuries. Only one who has devoted his life to similar ends can have a vivid realization of what has inspired these men and given them the strength to remain true to their purpose in spite of countless failures. It is cosmic religious feeling that gives a man such strength. A contemporary has said, not unjustly, that in this materialistic age of ours the serious workers are the only profoundly religious people. 4

Johannes Kepler related that he engaged in science to delve the Creator's works , while Isaac Newton, another great scientist, stated that the main thrust behind his interest in science was his wish to have a better sense and knowledge of God.

These were the remarks of only a few of the most eminent scientists in history. These, and hundreds of other scientists that we will consider in the pages ahead, came to believe in the existence of God by exploring the universe, and, impressed by the laws and phenomena God has gloriously created, craved to discover more.

As we will see, the desire to learn the manner in which God created the universe has served as the greatest motivating factor for many scientists in history. That is essentially because, someone who perceives that the universe and all living things are created also perceives that this creation has a purpose. Purpose then leads one to meaning. It is the aspiration to grasp this meaning, to uncover its signs, and discover its details, that can greatly expedite scientific studies.

If, however, the fact that the universe and living things are created is denied, this meaning escapes too. A scientist believing in the materialist philosophy and in Darwinism will suppose that the universe is purposeless, and that everything is the work of blind chance. Therefore, investigation of the universe and living things would be without a pursuit for meaning. Addressing this fact, Einstein stated, "I have found no better expression than 'religious' for confidence in the rational nature of reality, insofar as it is accessible to human reason. Whenever this feeling is absent, science degenerates into uninspired empiricism." 5

In such a case, the sole purpose of a scientist would either be to achieve fame through a groundbreaking discovery, to be remembered in history, or to become wealthy. Such aims may easily divert him from his sincerity and scientific integrity. For instance, in the event that a conclusion he had reached through scientific research was in contradiction with the conventional view of the scientific community, he may be forced to keep it as a secret, so as not to be robbed of his fame, or be vilified, or degraded.

The long-held acceptance of the theory of evolution in the scientific world is an example of this type of lack of sincerity. Basically, many scientists, in the face of scientific fact, are aware that the evolutionary theory is far from being able to explain the origin of life, but they cannot state it openly, simply out of the fear of encountering a negative reaction. In that line of thought, British physicist H.S. Lipson makes the following confession:

We now know a great deal more about living matter than Darwin knew. We know how nerves work and I regard each nerve as a masterpiece of electrical engineering. And we have thousands of millions of them in our body… "Design" is the word that springs to mind, on this subject. My biologist colleagues do not like it. 6

The word "design" is cast aside in the scientific literature merely because it is disliked, with many scientists succumbing to such dogmatism. In addressing the issue, Lipson says:

In fact, evolution became in a sense a scientific religion; almost all scientists have accepted it and many are prepared to 'bend' their observations to fit in with it. 7

This undesirable situation is the result of the deception of "ungodly science" that held sway over the scientific community beginning in the mid of the 19th century. However, as Einstein stated, "science without religion is lame" 8 . The delusion has not only directed the scientific community towards mistaken goals, but has also created scientists who, despite recognizing the error, remain indifferent to it.

We will deal with the former matter in detail in the pages ahead.

Believing Scientists' "Eagerness to Serve"

Because scientists who believe in God's oneness and omnipotence have no desire for worldly gain, such as status, rank, reputation, or money, their efforts in scientific research are sincere. They know that every mystery of the universe they unravel will increase mankind's understanding of God, helping to reveal God's infinite power and knowledge. Confirming God's existence for humanity, demonstrating to it the reality of creation, is a truly important act of worship for a believer.

Driven by such sincere concerns, believing scientists conduct important extensive research with a great enthusiasm, to discover the laws of the universe, the miraculous systems in nature, and the perfect mechanisms and intelligent behaviors in living things. They achieve great results and make tremendous progress. They never falter in the face of the problems they encounter, nor do they lose heart when they fail to be appreciated by others. They only seek to gain God's approval for the work they do.

They strive to serve other believers purely for God's good pleasure. And, they recognize no limits to their endeavor. They do their best to be of utmost use to people, and to serve them in the best way. Furthermore, their sincere efforts make them highly productive, and their studies lead to positive results.

Every living thing in the universe has a perfect design. For instance, just as physicist Lipson put it, a tiny nerve is a masterpiece of electrical engineering.

Those who assume that science must be distinguished from religion certainly fall into great error. First of all, those who do not believe in God cannot experience the spiritual upliftment of faith. The scientific projects they initiate with great zeal soon turn out to be monotonous and uninspiring. Their motivation, in such a mindset, becomes solely to reap short-lived worldly profit. Pursuing the fulfillment of worldly desires, such as wealth, rank, reputation, or prestige, they are only committed to conducting research that will directly contribute to such personal benefits. For instance, a scientist with such a mindset and motivated by career interests would pursue research only in those fields that will lead to a promotion. He would not be willing to conduct research in a subject he believes to be useful to mankind unless it served his best interest. Or, if he were in a position to make a choice between two research topics, he would choose the one that would earn him more material gain, prestige, or rank, while discarding the one that might be more beneficial to mankind. In short, scientists of this sort are rarely of benefit to humanity, failing to serve the greater good unless there is some promised gratification in return. When the opportunity for personal gain fades, so wanes their eagerness to serve humanity.

Prophet Muhammad, God's Messenger, peace be upon him, also referred to the harms of this mentality. He said:

Do not acquire knowledge in order to fall into polemics with other scholars and prove his superiority over them, or to dispute with the ignorant or to attract the attention of the people. 9

On the other hand, Prophet Muhammad praised the dissipation of beneficial knowledge. A hadith reads:

God calls down blessings on those who instruct people in beneficial knowledge . 10

Aware of the blessings he will receive, the enthusiasm and sincere motivation experienced by a person who believes in God opens up new vistas for him, not only in the field of science, but also in many other spheres of life, such as art, culture, and so on. These high spirits never fade, but rather, become increasingly intense.

They Will Not Be Permitted to Speak

The unbelievers will receive their books with great astonishment and regret. Their exclamations of "If only!" and "Alas for us!" show that they will be aware of their remorse's vanity. There is no point in moaning and complaining, as they are said to do in the following verse: "They will exclaim on the Day their faces are rolled over in the Fire: 'If only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!'" (Surat al-Ahzab, 66) Allah will answer their begging, cries, weeping, and screaming for help with the following words:

"Today We have forgotten you, as you forgot the meeting of this your Day..." (Surat al-Jathiya, 34)

Despite of all this, they will continue to make demands on Allah: to send them into a realm of nothingness, to allow them to give all they have in ransom to escape the suffering, and even to be sent back to Earth to rectify their wrongs. The Qur'an says:

If only you could see the evildoers hanging their heads in shame before their Lord: "Our Lord, we have seen and we have heard, so send us back again and we will act rightly. Truly we now have certainty." (Surat as-Sajda, 12)

They will beg to save themselves from the shocking punishment. But Allah reveals that they will never change their old ways and that there is now no way for them to save themselves. The unbelievers have committed the most serious sin: rebellion against Allah, Who created and sustained them. Therefore, they are not permitted to defend themselves. Allah says:

On that Day, woe to the unbelievers! This is the Day on which they will not say a single word, nor will they be allowed to offer any excuses. On that Day, woe to the unbelievers! (Surat al-Mursalat, 34-37)

Allah will not speak with, protect, or purify them as a consequence of what they have done, for:

Those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and sell it cheap take nothing into their bellies but the Fire. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not speak to them or purify them. They will have a painful punishment. (Surat al-Baqara, 174)

Those who sell Allah's contract and their own oaths for a paltry price, such people will have no portion in the Hereafter, and on the Day of Resurrection Allah will not speak to them or look at them or purify them. They will have a painful punishment. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 77)

He will say: "Slink away into it and do not speak to Me." (Surat al-Mu'minun, 108)

People's anger cannot be compared to Allah's anger with the unbelievers. Irrespective of how furious people might get, their vengeance is limited, whereas Allah's is beyond our comprehension. This vengeance culminates in an incredibly painful recompense, one that exceeds the limits of our intellect and imagination. The Qur'an reveals this fact, as follows:

The ones who do not believe will be addressed [as follows]: "Allah's disgust will be even greater than your own disgust is toward one another when you are called upon to believe and [still] do not believe." (Surah Ghafir, 10)

They Are in Fear

The unbelievers' eternal fear and remorse begins when the angels of death take their lives. None of them can escape this event, because this is their final capture and, after their death, they will pass through the gates of eternity. At that moment, an indescribable fear will grip their whole being, and they will realize that the promised punishment has just began. As Allah says in the Qur'an:

... If you could only see the wrongdoers in the throes of death when the angels are stretching out their hands, saying: "Disgorge your own selves! Today you will be repaid with the punishment of humiliation for saying something other than the truth about Allah, and being arrogant about His Signs." (Surat al-An‘am, 93)

Having left all their earthly wealth, which has been rendered worthless and meaningless, they will find that none of their treasures or people whom they had counted upon can help them. As the verse says, they will be all alone, for:

You have come to Us all alone, just as We created you at first, leaving behind you everything We bestowed upon you. We do not see your intercessors accompanying you, those whom you claimed were your partners with Allah. The link between you is cut. Those for whom you made such claims have forsaken you. (Surat al-An‘am, 94)

As if their hands and feet are bound, they will be unable to control or guard their bodies, which they had liked so much and thought that they could control and use to fulfill their desires. They just cannot do what they want to. The verses reveal that they will be invited to prostrate before Allah, but that they will not be able to:

On the Day when legs are bared and they are called on to prostrate, they will not be able to do so. Their eyes will be downcast, darkened by debasement, for they were called on to prostrate when they were in full possession of their faculties. (Surat al-Qalam, 42-43)

Allah is the possessor of everything, and everything happens according to His will. The unbelievers will be asked to prostrate so that they will feel remorse and pain for delaying this while alive. These people, who were too vain to prostrate before Allah will not be able to do so now, even though they will want to. They will be captured, called to account, and sent to Hell.

They Feel Remorse

Those who deny the meeting with Allah have lost, so that, when the Hour comes upon them suddenly, they will exclaim: "Alas for what we neglected there!" They will bear their burdens on their backs. How evil is what they bear! (Surat al-An‘am, 31)

People often experience remorse, but even when they can rectify what they have done, for some reason their pride prevents them from doing so. They think that they know best and shut their ears to all advice. But on that Day, they will experience remorse for their behavior. Even though they will plead, full of remorse, to be sent back to Earth to make amends, their request will be refused. They will realize that the wealth, children, partners, traditions, ideologies, and all of the other things they strove for and defended have no value, and that only those deeds done for Allah's good pleasure have true value. But this realization will not benefit them anymore.

Some will try to conceal their remorse because of their pride, as follows:

If every self that did wrong possessed everything on Earth, it would offer it as a ransom. They will confide regret when they see the punishment. Everything will be decided between them justly. They will not be wronged. (Surah Yunus, 54)

Even though they know their guilt, they still try to conceal their remorse. They get exactly what they deserve, for Allah's justice demands it. Allah will separate the believers and the unbelievers on that Day. All that the unbelievers experience on the Day of Judgment is a consequence of preferring Satan's path over Allah's, and something that is truly deserved, for:

Those who perform bad actions will be flung headfirst into the Fire: "Are you being repaid for anything other than what you did?" (Surat an-Naml, 90)

Many factors will bring on this remorse. For example, their meeting with Allah's punishment, being all alone, watching their skins testify against them, being made hideous, sensing the terror of eternal suffering, seeing Hell and, comprehending the damnation that is awaiting them, seeing the false deities they followed blindly and trusted in suddenly disappear, and seeing that Satan, whose path they followed consistently, also has deserted them. The Qur'an recounts what Satan will tell his followers on that Day in the following words:

When the affair is decided, Satan will say: "Allah made you a promise, a promise of truth, and I made you a promise but broke my promise. I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you responded to me. Do not, therefore, blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot come to your aid, nor you to mine. I reject the way you associated me with Allah before." The wrongdoers will have a painful punishment. (Surah Ibrahim, 22)

The believers will watch the unbelievers' hopeless situation, whereas the unbelievers will regard the believers from the corner of their eyes, as their heads will be lowered in shame and remorse. This reality is revealed in one verse:

You will see them as they are exposed to it, abject in their abasement, glancing around them furtively. Those who believe will say: "Truly the losers are those who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection." The wrongdoers are in an everlasting punishment. (Surat ash-Shura, 45)

The degree of remorse in the Hereafter is far too great to be compared with anything on Earth. There is no return or escape from this remorse, for it is the end of the unbelievers' inevitable and unstoppable breakdown, which they are forced to bear on their shoulders. This devastation and remorse is the consequence of their denial of Allah, Who created them and then offered almost all there is on Earth for their use. This path of denial determined their final destination in the Hereafter: Hell. There, they will experience for eternity every conceivable sorrow, pain, and worry they would rather not have thought about. Allah's retribution will face them with all of its might.

They Bicker between Themselves

Arguing in it with one another, they will say: "By Allah, we were plainly misguided when we equated you with the Lord of all the worlds. It was only the evildoers who misguided us, and now we have no one to intercede for us. We do not have a single loyal friend. If only we could have another chance, then we would be among the believers!" There is certainly a Sign in that, yet most of them are not believers. (Surat ash-Shu‘ara', 96-103)

The unbelievers will meet a suffering of unequalled proportions. They will be extremely angry at their situation and furious with the people who led them away from Allah's path. Their greatest ambitions, such as wealth and position, will have lost all meaning. They will be furious with their leaders, who led them away from His path, and try to distance themselves from them. The dispute between those who led and those who followed is revealed, as follows:

When those who were followed disown those who followed them, and they see the punishment and the connection between them is cut, those who followed will say: "If only we could have another chance, we would disown them just as they have disowned us." In that way Allah will show them their actions as a cause of anguish and remorse for them. They will never emerge from the Fire. (Surat al-Baqara, 166-67)

They will say on the Day their faces are rolled over in the Fire: "If only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!" And they will say: "Our Lord, we obeyed our masters and great men, and they misguided us from the Way. Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them many times over!" (Surat al-Ahzab, 66-68)

Allah points out that such leaders are one of the factors that lead people away from belief in Him. People who are considered superior because of other people's values and not because of Allah's values, have an enormous influence over their followers. People who submit to these leaders are tricked into living according to this world's impermanent values and thus waste their lives. However, unable to recognize their mistakes on Earth, they supported one another in disobedience against Allah and abided by their own creeds. When their error is exposed on this Day, they will begin to blame one another. Regardless of these accusations, neither party will be saved from Hell.

Allah describes such leaders in the following terms:

We made them leaders, summoning to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped. We pursued them with a curse in this world... (Surat al-Qasas, 41-42)

He [Pharaoh] will go ahead of his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them down into the Fire. What an evil watering-hole to be led to! (Surah Hud, 98)

The unbelievers will wish that there was a distance as great as that between East and West between them and the leaders whom they followed. Allah states that:

If someone shuts his eyes to the remembrance of the All-Merciful, We assign him a devil who becomes his bosom friend—they debar them from the path, yet they still think they are guided—so that, when he reaches Us, he says: "If only there was the distance of the two Easts [East and West] between you and me!" What an evil companion! It will not benefit you today, since you did wrong, that you share equally in the punishment. (Surat az-Zukhruf, 36-39)

People will not want to know some of those whom they loved, trusted, or were attached to with desire while alive; they will deny others and condemn the rest. The Qur'an says:

He [Ibrahim] said: "You have adopted idols apart from Allah as tokens of mutual affection in this world. But then on the Day of Resurrection you will reject one another and curse one another. The Fire will be your shelter. You will have no helpers." (Surat al-‘Ankabut, 25)

The Qur'an relates their ensuing arguments, as follows:

[The custodians of Hell will be told:] "Hurl into Hell every obdurate unbeliever, impeder of good, doubt-causing aggressor who set up another deity together with Allah. Hurl him into the terrible punishment." His inseparable comrade will say: "Our Lord, I did not make him overstep the limits. He was, in any case, far astray." He will say: "Do not argue in My presence when I gave you advance warning of the Threat. My Word, once given, is not subject to change, and I do not wrong My servants." (Surah Qaf, 24-29)

Those who despised the believers' righteous path will be astonished when they do not find the believers beside them on that Day, as described below:

They [the profligate] will say: "How is it that we do not see some men whom we used to count among the worst of people? Did we turn them into figures of fun? Did our eyes disdain to look at them?" All this is certainly true—the bickering of the people of the Fire. (Surah Sad, 62-64)

While they were alive, their disputes with each other never ended and, in fact, they actually darkened their own lives. In reality, they are well aware of the cruelty that they inflicted upon one another. They did not find peace even among those close to them or in their own environment, and yet they would not cease their arguing. Whereas the believers always live in contentment here and in the Hereafter, the unbelievers always live in a state of restlessness and discontent. They will receive pain from all sides, as well as dispute continually with those whom they consider close.

They Are Disgraced

Arrogance toward Allah will bring humiliation. People who do not believe in the Hereafter, deny Allah's evident existence, and live a carefree life will pay a heavy price in return. As they do not consider His punishment probable and so do not think about it, they become Satan's servants by falling for his diversionary tactics and thus waste their lives. Instead of living life as a test, they live it as empty cause. Their arrogance caused them to commit many sins, such as fighting Allah and looking for ways to deny Him. This is no doubt a great sin, one that will lead to great suffering and humiliation in the Hereafter.

Obviously, the unbelievers are wrong. They never inquire into the source of Allah's gifts or how they came by their wealth, and consider it their right to enjoy life's pleasures without remembering and giving thanks to their Creator. But the consequences of such arrogance will be massive. The verses reveal:

On the Day when those who did not believe are exposed to the Fire [it will be said]: "You dissipated the good things you had in your worldly life and enjoyed yourself in it. So today you are being repaid with the punishment of humiliation for being arrogant in the land without any right and for being deviators." (Surat al-Ahqaf, 20)

Those who spend their lives pursuing the world and never reflect upon the Hereafter will be humiliated on the Day of Judgment and after. Allah reveals this truth in the following verses:

Has news of the Overwhelmer reached you? Some faces on that Day will be downcast, laboring, toiling endlessly. (Surat Ghashiya, 1-3)

Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and ask: "Where are My partner deities, for whose sake you became so hostile?" Those given knowledge will say: "Today there is disgrace and evil for the unbelievers." (Surat an-Nahl, 27)

And on the Day of Resurrection his punishment will be doubled, and he will be humiliated in it timelessly, forever. (Surat al-Furqan, 69)

People who continue their war on Allah with an ugly impudence disregard the Day of Judgment. They live unaware of the plan Allah has devised for them, a plan that is unrivalled. Only small groups of people accepted and then abided by the Messengers' calls. These calls increased other people's unbelief and also increased their burden. In the end, Allah will show the reality of the Hereafter to all people in the most spectacular fashion. And the unbelievers will clearly understand the consequences of Allah's promises. Their lives are not eternal, and their time on Earth has been exhausted. Pleasures and desires have lost their appeal, and the only reality that matters is His judgment. The evil that they did against Allah has been repaid, for He has judged them fit to live forever in suffering and sorrow. On the other hand, the believers' eternal life will be shown to all people with all of its splendor and beauty.

THE WORLD IN OUR BRAINS

When you look out of the window, you think that you see an image with your eyes, as this is the way that you have been taught to think. However, in reality this is not how it works, because you do not see the world with your eyes. You see the image created in your brains. This is not a prediction, nor a philosophical speculation, but the scientific truth.

This concept can be better understood when we realize how the visual system operates. The eye is responsible for transforming light into an electric signal by means of the cells in the retina. This electrical signal reaches the sight center in the brain. The signals create the vision you see when you look out of the window. In other words, the sights you see are created in your brain.

You see the image in your brain, not the view outside the window. For example, in the picture shown on the right hand side, the light reaches the eyes of the person from outside. This light passes to the small sight center located at the back of the brain after the cells in the eyes transform it into electrical signals. It is these electrical signals which form the picture in the brain. In reality when we open the brain, we wouldn't be able to see any image. However, some kind of consciousness in the mind receives electrical signals in the form of an image. The brain perceives electrical signals in the form of an image, yet it has no eye, eye cells, or retina. So, to whom does the consciousness in the brain belong?

The same question can be asked about the book you are reading now. The light coming to your eyes is converted into electrical signals and reaches your brain, where the view of the book is created. In other words, the book you are reading right now is not outside you, it is actually inside you, in the sight center in the back of your brain. Since you feel the hardness of the book with your hands, you might think that the book is outside you. However, this feeling of hardness also originates in the brain. The nerves on your fingertips transmit electrical information to the touch center in your brain. And when you touch the book, you feel the hardness and intensity of it, the slipperiness of the pages, the texture of the cover and the sharpness of the edge of the pages, all within your brain.

In reality however, you can never touch the real nature of the book. Even though you think that you're touching the book, it is your brain that perceives the tactile sensations. In addition, you do not even know if this book exists as a material thing outside of your brain. You merely interpret the image of the book within your brain. However, you should not be tricked by the fact that a writer wrote this book, the pages were designed by a computer and printed by a publisher. The things that will be explained in due course will show you that the people, computers and the publishers in every stages of the production of this book are only visions that appear in your brain, and you will never know whether or not they exist outside of your brain.

We can therefore conclude that everything we see, touch and hear merely exists in our brains. This is a scientific truth, proven with scientific evidence. The significant point is the answer to the question asked above, which this scientific truth has led us to ask;

Who is it that has no eye, but watches sights through a window in our brains and enjoys or becomes anxious from these sights? This will be explained in the following sites.

We acknowledge that all the individual features of the world are experienced through our sense organs. The information that reaches us through those organs is converted into electrical signals, and the individual parts of our brain analyze and process these signals. After this interpreting process takes place inside our brain, we will, for example, see a book, taste a strawberry, smell a flower, feel the texture of a silk fabric or hear leaves shaking in the wind.

We have been taught that we are touching the cloth outside of our body, reading a book that is 30 cm (1 ft) away from us, smelling the trees that are far away from us, or hearing the shaking of the leaves that are far above us. However, this is all in our imagination. All of these things are happening within our brains.

At this point we encounter another surprising fact; that there are, in fact, no colors, voices or visions within our brain. All that can be found in our brains are electrical signals. This is not a philosophical speculation. This is simply a scientific description of the functions of our perceptions. In her book Mapping The Mind, Rita Carter explains the way we perceive the world as follows:

Each one [of the sense organs] is intricately adapted to deal with its own type of stimulus: molecules, waves or vibrations. But the answer does not lie here, because despite their wonderful variety, each organ does essentially the same job: it translates its particular type of stimulus into electrical pulses. A pulse is a pulse is a pulse. It is not the colour red, or the first notes of Beethoven's Fifth-it is a bit of electrical energy. Indeed, rather than discriminating one type of sensory input from another, the sense organs actually make them more alike.

All sensory stimuli, then enter the brain in more or less undifferentiated form as a stream of electrical pulses created by neurons firing, domino-fashion, along a certain route. This is all that happens. There is no reverse transformer that at some stage turns this electrical activity back into light waves or molecules. What makes one stream into vision and another into smell depends, rather, on which neurons are stimulated.1

In other words, all of our feelings and perceptions about the world (smells, visions, tastes etc.) are comprised of the same material, that is, electrical signals. Moreover, our brain is what makes these signals meaningful for us, and interprets these signals as senses of smell, taste, vision, sound or touch. It is a stunning fact that the brain, which is made of wet meat, can know which electrical signal should be interpreted as smell and which one as vision, and can convert the same material into different senses and feelings.

Let us now consider our sense organs, and how each one perceives the world.

It's Not Our Eyes That See,
It Is Our Brain

Because of the indoctrination that we receive throughout our lives, we imagine that we see the whole world with our eyes. Eventually, we usually conclude that our eyes are the windows that open up to the world. However, science shows us that we do not see through our eyes. The millions of nerve cells inside the eyes are responsible for sending a message to the brain, as if down a cable, in order to make "seeing" happen. If we analyze the information we learned in high school, it becomes easier for us to understand the reality of vision.

The light reflecting off an object passes through the lens of the eye and causes an upside-down image on the retina at the back of the eyeball. After some chemical operations carried out by retinal rods and cones, this vision becomes an electrical impulse. This impulse is then sent through connections in the nervous system to the back of the brain. The brain converts this flow into a meaningful, three-dimensional vision.

For example, when you watch children playing in a park, you are not seeing the children and the park with your eyes, because the image of this view forms not before your eyes, but at the back of your brain.

Even though we have given a simple explanation, in reality the physiology of vision is an extraordinary operation. Without fail, light is converted into electrical signals, and, subsequently, these electrical signals reveal a colorful, shining, three-dimensional world. R. L. Gregory, in his book Eye and Brain: The Psychology of Seeing, acknowledges this significant fact, and explains this incredible structure:

We have it under our foot in Adan in Yemen !... it is fire….the fire that, according to the Islamic literature, will drive people to their assembly place on the Last Day.

Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-sliding in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly "Book 041, Number 6931"

The spread of the fire, when this volcano erupts, won't be prevented by the existence of the seas as these, in addition to the other seas in the world will turn into fire,. The Holy Quran says what means : "..And when the seas turn into fire."

But Why Adan in Ymen?

Most of the lands of Adan is located in the surrounding sea of the sea, Adan, according to consensus of studies, has been formed as a result of a huge unprecAdanted volcano that broke out and remained erupting for a long time leaving after its extinction a huge crater just like any other volcano, but this one is incomparable,this volcano left behind a huge mountain that contain the crater of that volcano on which the city of Adan in Yemen rests.

It was only when the English conquered Yemen and following the outset of the aviation that the world has discovered that Adan is located on the mouth of this volcano.

Moreover, With the advent of aviation by planes, it has been found that the city is really concave and just as the prophet told us , the English named the city "kraytar",and this was the common name that kraytar, later named Adan, was given.

It is noteworthy that none among the contemporaries of the prophet could ever dare to think that Adan was built on the mouth or the crater of a volcano, moreover; the prophet is talking about the concave shape of Adan.

In 1946, the British Royal Mission headed by professor I.G Gass, after finishing its study on the Adan's volcano , initiated its study saying " ….the present volcanoes are nothing but fireworks, if compared with Adan volcano.

Professor L.G Gass, in his study, goes on to compare the most famous Indonesian volcano that still takes up a large area in the human memory because when it erupted, in 1883, it aftermath is really beyond description; the toll of its victims exceeded 36.000 persons, its detonation went as far as 5.000km, its smoke and dust was so huge and rose high and the sun rays were debarred for more than a week , the island where the volcano happened went into pieces. Scientists estimate the power of this volcano as much as the explosion of one hundred hydrogen bombs. With all of these fearful description, the author compared Adan volcano with that of Indonesia saying:" It is just a kind of fire work if compared with Adan volcano."

In his study" Adan, the History and Civilization in depth" , Marouf Aqouba says:" Adan volcano is one of the six major volcanoes located on one line that extends from Bab Al Mandeb strait and ends at Adan. Some slight eruption, he adds, took place in one of these volcanic centers in the Bird Mountain" Gabel Al-Taheir" that faces Adan.

This volcano goes deep to where the rocks and metals such as iron and Nickel are in molten state. It is now believed that, when this volcano erupted, magma and lava gushed out forming a huge mountain in which the crater of the volcano resides under the city of Adan. This volcano will once again erupt but, at this time, it will be even much more stronger driving people northward to the place where people will assembly on the Doomsday .

The scientific facet:

The prophetic hadith says that the city of Adanis concave-shaped and this was supported by satellite pictures.

The prophet hadith talked about an extinct volcano that will re-erupt before the last hour.

It is known that most of major volcanoes are preceded by earthquakes. Scientists say:"Such earthquakescan be an early warning of volcanic eruptions."

So, in another scientific miracle, the hadith correlates between land sliding and volcanoes .So, where on the earth that culture that knew that there was such relation between earthquakes and volcanoes?

No doubt, It is God, Who informed him of these facts.

Allah The Almighty said to Maryam (Mary) (Peace be upon her): (And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree:It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.)

Many Hadiths told about the favours and benefits of dates.

The prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) used to break his fast with some fresh dates before praying, and here appears the prophetic guidance: When fasting, a person relies on the sugar stocked in his body and especially that is stocked in the liver. The sugar obtained from the food taken just before starting the fast (i.e. ALSUHUR) lasts for six hours and then the body uses the sugar kept in the liver. When a person breaks his fast with dates, rich in monosaccharides, those arrive quickly to the liver and then to the blood which carries the nutrients to the other organs, whereas the person who fills up his stomach with food and drinks needs 2 to 3 hours to his intestines to absorb the sugar.

Dates and milk are a complemented complete food and numerous Bedouins live on dried dates and goats’ milk but are fit, healthy and less susceptible to chronic and malign illnesses.⁽¹⁾

Dates also strengthen and increase the contraction rate of the uterus during the delivery and this is why Allah said to the pure lady Maryam: (And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.)

It was reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Feed your women with dates as those who are fed with dates will have forbearing children”

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: the prophet (PBUH) said: “Indeed in dates?? there is a cure”. Reported by Muslim (14/3) and Ahmad (6/152)

It is a Sunna to break the fast with dates. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever finds dates should break his fast with them and the one who does not should break his fast with water because it is pure”

Science has proved the benefits of dates, some of which are:

of energy, as well as glucose and fructose
2) High content of vitamins that protect from Pellagra
3) Contain calcium, which is essential in bones formation.

3) Phosphorous, calcium and iron

Dates and the protection from poison and envy:

It was reported by Abu Naaim, Abu Daoud, Al Hakem, Al Imam Al Tarmithi and mentioned in The book of Al Imam Al Thahabi “The Prophetic Medicine” that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “ The one who eats 7 dates in the morning will be protected that day from poison and envy”

Concerning the first part i.e. poisons: Scientific experiments found that when poisoned, there is an increase in an enzyme produced in the liver that acts as an anti poison. If the levels of this enzyme are measured after being poisoned they would be high whereas when taking 7 dates daily for a month, the levels of this enzyme were found to decrease and return to normal, and if this is followed for a year no increase will result from being poisoned and this means that at that point the body is cured and protected against poisons.

For this reason, when the Prophet (PBUH) ate from the poisoned lamb in Khaibar -Allah told him that the shoulder part was poisoned- the prophet had the 7 dates that morning and so the poison did not affect him but was kept underneath the skin in the fat layer and the Prophet did a venesection (Hijama) to remove it.

TELEPATHY, a British scientific organisation researched the Hadith saying that the pressed dates are a cure from poison; research was also done in the King Fahd Ben Abd Alaaziz University and all experiments agreed with the Hadith.

Through some experiments conducted on humans, it was found that people who are exposed to poisons such as those who deal with lead in butteries industry and suffer from the problem of Cadmium, which is a heavy element and causes renal failure which results in various serious problems, can avoid that risk by taking 7 dates in the morning. For those who took the dates no detoxification elements were found in the liver and there is a 120 researches published on that.

In this same field the Jewish researcher Goldman found that 7 dried dates will make the heavy metals when inside the body form complexes some of which are kept beneath the skin and some get solvated and expelled in the excrement and urine. his operation is called detoxication or anti-poison which is done from pvessed date.

Concerning magic:

The Telepathy group, who publish its findings in a periodic named “Telepathy”, analysed the spectra of the digested pressed dates and found that it gives a blue colour which remains for 12 hours. They said also that the eye is the one which is bewitched, so magic is not a change in the nature of things but is a an imagination and the eye is what being bewitched exactly as Allah said in the Holy Koran: ( Said Moses: throw ye (first). So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them: for they showed a great (feat of) magic.) SURAH AL AL A`RAF (16).

At last they found that the eye gets bewitched and that this magic force affects all the colours except blue, and so having 7 dates in the morning protects the person from magic and from envy...⁽³⁾

Professor Robert Hickling has spent many years in watching insects and recording the sound vibrations they release. Yet, the matter couldn't be asserted till he was able to record sounds coming from ants. Hisaim was to follow up ants in the field crops; they didn't find better method than following ants’ sounds. However, what surprised that scientist is that the sounds frequencies that ants release vary from an ant to another and from ants' species to another. There are twelve thousand species in the world and the ants' number on the earth outnumbers human beings' number. Before these tremendous numbers,researchers stood confused for how they can deal with all these sounds.

Many different sounds of ants could be recorded successfully and these pieces of research was published in Journal of Sound and Vibration magazine in 2006 and it was the first time that man can hear a real sound of ants!

This researcher published a lot of research and the most important one is about the communication among ants under the title "The Analysis of acoustic communication by ants": in Journal of the Acoustical Society of America magazine.

These researchers showed that ants exceed us at acoustic communication. Scientists expect that ant uses antennas to send and receive acoustic vibrations. The ant amplifies the received signals like the advanced receiving devices Moreover, it removes sounds overlapping , so it makes filtration or clarification to the sound to distinguish it from another. This is a very developed communication system that was unknown to scientists and they only discovered it a few years ago. Yet the Holy Qur'an dealt with that matter and told us that ants speak.

Allah said what means: Till, when they come to the valley of the ants, one of the ants said" O, ants enter your dwellings, lest Suleiman and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not.( suret al-naml 18 – ants) . In this verse, there is a clear evidence that ants have a language to understand one another and Allah gifted Suleiman with the ability to hear and understand these sounds. The scientists attempt to grasp these acoustic signals that ants utter. Yet, they distinguished four different kinds of these sounds after very long years of watching.

Ants use special acoustic signals that release during anger; we find that an ant takes the task of warning, so it releases a call that its mate receives, understands, and responds immediately. Scientists assert that ants are like us, they perform their tasks efficiently. While working, ants speak to each other and talk like human beings. We have found out that ants organize the process of food collecting and other tasks through certain sounds and instructions it releases and the others hear and respond!

When an ant attacks a caterpillar, it releases fearful sounds. These sounds were completely unknown and they resemble the human battle .

The Phil De Vries discovered that insects release weak acoustic vibrations that ants can distinguish; the aphid, secretes a sugary substance that ants like, this insect releases vibrations during its work that ants pick and consequently rush to their livelihood. Thus acoustic vibrations are tools of communication among insects.

Allah said: {the seven heavens and the earth and all that is herein glorifying Him but there is not a thing but glorifies His Praise but you understand not their glorification. Truly, He is Ever Forbearing, oft-forgiving.} Al-Isra.44.

Robert Hickling, one of the notabl researcher , said" ants don’t respond to the human voices nor are they affected by it. But when we direct it to suitable vibrations, it is affected and respond to them. This means that ants have their own language and they are completely like human beings. Here we remember the saying of Glorified Allah {there is not an animal in the earth nor a flying creature on two wings, but they are people like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the book (of our decrees. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.} Al-An ậm 38.

Hence we realize that The Holy Qur'an agrees with modern science .

Allah (Glory is to him) says:
"Those who reject our signs, we shall soon cast in to the fire, as often as their skins are roasted through, we shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty for Allah is Exalted in power, wise" Al- Nesa'a chapter, verse:56

The above verse illustrates why Allah changes the unbelievers burnt skin by another to feel the most torment during their existence in the hell… so what is the secrete of this.

The microscopical anatomy illustrates to us that the skin is an organ rich with the nerve fibers that receive & transform all types of sensation from the external surrounding & either by free nerve ending & all these ends exist in all skin levels: epidermis (outer skin), dermis, the hypodermis tissues & it transforms the pain sensation, heat, pressure, coldness & touch sensation & there are nerve endings which have secretory function & regulate the skin glands blood vessels whether is more sensory by the receptors of pressure but it is less sensory by pain, heat & touch receptors with a big grade & thus when any person is injected by syringe so he feels maximum pain when it penetrates the skin & when it passed to the other tissues the pain sensation decreases.

And the skin when exposed to burn it leads to a great pain sensation because the fire warn the pain receptors which is the free nerve ending & also it warns the thermoreptors & which is corpuscles that is existed in the dermis & hypodermis which is called Ruffini Corpuscles & burning pain is maximum when the burn reaches the hypodermis tissue & called the third degree burn & if the burn extends to the under skin tissue the pain will decrease because these tissues are less sensitive for pain as it mentioned before & thus the kor'anic verse refers to the organ which is richest with the pain receptors is the skin as the burns are the most warning pain .

Allah (Glory is to him) says:"(Here is) a parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wise, a joy to those who drink, and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and grace from their Lord. (can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell forever in the fire and be given , to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)"
Mohammad chapter verse no:15

(cutting their intestines): Here Allah didn't say exchange it but said cut it because the intestine is free of the sensory nerve cells, so if we put a scope inside the digestive system the human won't feel any pain, only the pharynx pain during the entry of the scope & we take a part & the patient doesn't feel any pain so when the patient will feel the pain?

The patient feels the pain when he has a perforation in his intestines as the perforating ulcer so Allah said (cut) & we must be attentive to this accurate fluent expression as Allah said the expression (exchange) with skin and said the expression (cut) with intestines because the intestines are free of sensation and also free of nerve cells which is found in the peritoneal membrane, so when a perforation happens in the intestines a serve pain happens and thus the patient who is injured by a perforation in the digestive system will be suffering from a serve pain and his stomach becomes in a state called Board like Rigidity as board that is an emergency surgical case and an operation must be done to the patient immediately because the intestinal contents exit to the peritoneum which has the nerve ending and the sensation so he feels by a great pain so his stomach strained.

And there is another hint which relates to this subject that the human when he sometimes exposes to a disturbing view or pain he lost his conscious as a mean of defense for himself, that Allah (the Great & Almighty ) said about the unbelievers until he torments them :"But those who reject (Allah), for them will be the fire of Hell : no term shall be determined for them, so they should die, nor shall its penalty be lightened for them. Thus do we reward every ungrateful one! "

So they will be in a state they will neither be alive nor dead.

Allah says in the holly Quran :
(So I do call to witness what ye see* And what ye see not) (SURAH AL HAKAH:54)

Human vision is limited. As there are many things we can’t see with our eyes even though they exist. That is our vision is restricted to a given range of colours between the red and violet colours. since we are unable to see the ultraviolet and infrared colours.

The wave length of colours:
Violet 750 nanometres
Blue 634 nanometres
Green 570 nanometres
Yellow 520 nanometres
Orange 500 nanometres
Red 434 nanometres
Infrared 300 nanometres

Therefore some colours are visible and others are not

The retina of the eye contains 10 layers, the last one of which is composed of 140 millions of light receptors from rods and cones. A nerve emerges from the eye to the nervous system accommodating 5000 neurons.

It is a miracle that if the green colour is degraded to 8000 grades the eye would be able to differentiate between two of them.

The forbiddance Of The Swine meat as Ordained in the Holy Quran

The Qur'an is the word of God and it has many miraculous attributes proving this fact. One of these attributes is the fact that a number of scientific truths that we have only been able to uncover by the technology of the 20th century were stated in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago. Of course the Qur'an is not a book of science. However, many scientific and nedical facts that are expressed in an extremely concise and profound manner in its verses have only been discovered with the technology of the 20th century. These facts could not have been known at the time of the Qur'an's revelation, and this is still more proof that the Qur'an is the word of God. Moreover , All those things that are forbidden in Islam are banned because of their harms to the human body .

The significance behind the Forbiddance Of The Swine meat

The Holy Quran has mentioned the forbiddance of the swine meat in four verses: -

1-Allah (SWT) says what means in the Holy Qu'ran : {He has forbidden you only the Maitah (dead animals ), and blood and the meat of swine and that, which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity without willful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful} Al-Baqarah 173

2-And Allah (SWT) says what means in the Holy Quran : {Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maitah (the dead animals – cattle-beast not slaughtered). Blood, the meat of swine, and that on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering (that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah, or has been slaughtered for idols) and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a heading fall, or by the goring of horn- and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal- unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death)- and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on An-Nusub (stone- altars)(Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision : (all) that is Fisqun( disobedience of Allah and sin).This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of Your religion: so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above mentioned meats), then surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful} Al-Ma’idah: 3

3-And Allah (SWT ) says what means in the Holy Quran {Say (Oh Mohammed -PBUH -) “ I found not in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maitah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the meat of swine (pork); for that, is impure or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols, or in which Allah’s Name has not being mentioned while (slaughtering).But Whosoever is forced by necessity without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits;( for him) certainly, your lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful } Al-An’ am 145

4- Also Allah (SWT) says what means in the Holy Quran {He has forbidden you only Al-Maitah (meat of dead animal), blood, the meat of swine, and any animal which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols or on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience, and not transgressing, then, Allah is Oft- forgiving, most Merciful} An-Nahl 115

Dictionaries define the word abomination as dirt, ugly act and the deed which leads to the horrible torment. In Al- Baidawi’s interpretation:its called the dirty abomination & it has been so called because the swine used to eat the Nags (impureness) or the evil/ bad.

Al-Qurtubi , (1) says: No doubt the whole swine is forbidden except its hair which might be used as thread for beads. A man had asked the prophet (PBUH) about the swine’s hair if it is used as thread to connect beads together? The prophet said “ there is no harm in it”.

Khwair Mundad had mentioned the above as narrated by Imam Al-Dummeri who said “ because the beads threading was a known handicraft during the messenger’s life and after his death. We have no information that it had been denied by the messenger (PBUH) or by any of the Imams who had followed”

Al-Dummeri (2) states ,as narrated by Imam Mawardi, that: the reference to “the abomination” is a reference to the Swine because it is the nearest thing to be mentioned”

Al-Fakher-Al-Raziof (3) said that: the Islamic nation has agreed that the whole parts the swine are forbidden. Allah (SWT) mentioned the meat because most usages pertain to it”

Imam Abu-Al-Faraj Al-Gauzy (4) confirms the abovemeaning by stating that “ the reference to the swine meat means the whole meat. The meat was mentioned in particular because it composes the most intended thing”

In the book of (Sahih Muslim) bin Bareada has been quoted to say that: the messenger (PBUH) has said “Whoever plays the dice he will be as if he has dyed his hand with swine meat and blood”

Ibn Katheer (5) said: if the mentioned alienation is attributed to mere touching then what about the threat & menace directed to the person who eats and takes it as his food? The alienation includes the meaning that the forbiddance covers all its parts such as its meat, fat & else. Ibn Katheer states that the word Swine includes the domestic swine as well as the boar (wild) one.

Dr. Abdul Hafiz Hilmi Mohammed (6) thinks that the swine meat is marked among all kinds of meat (which are mentioned in the forbiddance verses) by being forbidden in itself, for a cause inherent in it, or for a description, which sticks to it. Other kinds of meat are forbidden for contingent reason. The goat for example, if it has been given as Zakat then its meat is Halal (unforbidden) and it is forbidden only if it was already dead or if it has been slaughtered for idols. We confirm here that the devoted Muslim should make up his mind when he applies the forbiddance/ order of Allah in order to know the cause behind the order/ forbiddance. The forbiddance of the swine meat in particular is a justified one (it is an abomination). Our independent reason is therefore restricted to our attempt to understand the filthiness of this forbidden thing & itsabomination, in order to be more thankful to Allah for His blessings.

Imam Alseuti narrates the rule, which applies to the person who eats the swine meat (7), saying Abdul Razig has stated in Almosanuf Book what had been narrated by Gattadda that: Repentance shall be offered to the person who ate the swine meat, if the said person agrees to repent he will be left, otherwise the said person should be killed.

Dr. Faroug Musahil (8) examines the issue that faces Muslims living in the Western countries and the issue that pertains to contamination of the kitchen’s utensils by swine’s dirt when those Muslims stay in common residence with other People or when they share the restaurants or the public places with them. The said other people eat the swine meat as usual and they use its fat for frying the food. The author finds out the best solution exists in the messenger guidance (PBUH) when Abu Thallaba Alkhishni asked him: Oh messenger, we are living near to Christians who cook the swine meat in their pots and drink the spirits out of their cups?. The messenger said :(If you find other pots and cups then use them in eating & drinking, and if there is none then rinse the available ones with water before eating & drinking) narrated by Abu Dawood.

The German doctor Hans Reckving confirms the importance of forbidding the swine meat when he says (9): It is worthy of mention that the ancient heritage in some nations were the teachings laid down by the two prophets Mohammed & Moses, who have had the most effect on Muslims and Jews to abide by the natural laws of Allah.

In Africa, where the Muslims and others nations live in the same environmental circumstances. We find Moslem nation enjoying a good health because the swine meat is forbidden in their religion. On the other hand we find other nations who follow the western style in their feeding suffering from diseases that are wholly linked to the habit of eating swine meat.

He continues to say: In a study that has been conducted among the Honza tribe, which lives in Hamalaya and adopts Islam and whose members refrain from eating swine meat shows that the tribe members enjoy good health, their life expectancy is high and they work till an advanced age in search of their means of subsistence. On the other hand their non-Muslim neighbours are suffering from a number of diseases, which are popular among them due to eating the swine meat. Their life expectancy and their energy was found more less than the Muslims tribes.

Hence, I can see that the divine Books of Allah that had been sent through Mohammed & Moses have mentioned the truth & the whole truth in respect of forbiddance of eating swine meat.

But, what do we know about the swine:

The swine is a grass fleshy animal, which combines between the wild and domestic features .It eats everything and it is gluttonous animal, which sweeps away any thing in the green field and barn. It eats the garbage, wastes & filthy remains in a greedy & gluttonous manner. It is also a wild animal that eats the rats and mice, as well as the corpses even those of its own fellows (10,11)

Imam Al-Dummeri (2) states that: the swine is fierce animal with excessive copulation and lustful nature whose sexual life is full of chaos and has no one certain female fellow swine.

Dr. Hans Hietrich narrates strange story which occurred in a military hospital where the swine’s yard was built near the hospital .The swines ate the wastes and remains and each month one of them is slaughtered to feed the patients and the staff. One day the swines rushed onto the furnace loaded with the bandages, which were full of wounds’ remains that are ready for burning, and ate them all!

In order to save the fodder, the hospital management resolved to give half of the wet vulva bandages as food to the swines. Thus the blood of those swines became saturated with poisons and toxins. Let us now imagine the patients of this hospital and most of them were suffering from fistula as sequelaes of fractures resulting from gunshots. They are fed with swine meat that has been saturated with toxins, and instead of being cured, this meat generates in them a new attack of infection and pus.

This gives us an understanding on how the meaning of abomination has stuck to our all minds with the swine. The swine could rarely be seen but with its nose downwards the earth. The disgust we feel at this animal is not confined to us- as Muslims.The people of Europe and America do too , despite the prosperous swine’s trade & husbandry breeding and make of toys to their children in the swine’s shape. Nevertheless, whatever the language those people use , the swine name is a swear word and a curse, which they only call at disparaged and miserable person.

The research proves that the swine (8) eats the carrions and the dirt as well as its own dirt even if it is breeded in the cleanest ranch. News comes to us from time to time about swines that attack the young children. A woman had once forgotten to look after her child who sneaked into the swines’enclosure, which hurriedly tore him apart and ate without leaving a piece of it. This trend is not found elsewhere but in wild animals.

Harms to the health resulting from the swine meat eating: -

The difference between the swine meat & other meat

The swine meat contains big quantity of fats and it is marked by spreading of the fat through out the muscular cells within the meat. In addition ,the fat is found outside the cells within the retractor tissues of the swine in high density. While in the other edible animals the fats are separate from the muscular tissues and do not locate within its cells but it locates outside the cells and within the retractor tissues (12).

The scientific research (10) has proved that when the human being eats the fats of ruminant animals their fats emulsificate in his intestines and be absorbed and transformed into human fats. But when one eats the fats of predatory animals or the swine, the emulsification of their fats will be difficult. The trivalent-particles of the glycerides in the swine’s fats will be absorbed as it is without transformation, and then it gets settled in Man’s tissues as animal or swine’s fats.

It is verily amazing to mention what Dr. Hans Hietrich (9) noticed, that those who eat the swine’s fat out of some part of its body, will get the said fat settled in the corresponding part of their own bodies. Hence it is found that women who eat the swine’s pork could be seen with obvious deformation in their thighs & buttocks.

The cholesterol which results from the proteolysis (analysis) of the swine meat in the body appears in the blood in a form of partial cholesterol having large atom which leads mostly to the blood pressure and to arteriosclerosis and both are dangerous elements that lead to cardiac infarction of the heart muscle.

Professor Roff (12) has found that the cholesterol, which exists in the mobile cancer cells, is similar to the cholesterol that composes when the swine meat is eaten.

The swine meat is rich in the components which contain high rates of slphate (10) .All these components affect capability of the retractor tissues to absorb the water like the sponge. It acquires a form of wide pocket and this leads to accumulation of the mucus materials in the chords, ligaments and cartilages and make it soft, a matter which makes it easy to be infected by the arthritis (gout) and in particular the joints between the vertebra, and also by degeneration in the bones.

The tissues that contain the sulphate can easily be damaged by decay and fermentation resulting into diffusion of foul smell due to the emission of the hydrogen sulphur gas.

It has been noted that the pots, which contain the swine meat, should be taken out of the room after some days due to the foul and unbearable smell despite the tide close of these pots.

In comparison, other kinds of meat had been subjected to the same trial. The beef was less in getting decayed and did not emit the said foul smell. The swine meat contains a high rate of the growth hormone which has certain effect in causing the the edges decay, as well as its effect in the increase of the abdomen’s (belly) growth and increasing in particular the growth of the tissues which are capable to develop into cancer.

According to Roff studies, the fatty diner meal of swine meat is the basis for transformation of the cells into cancer because it contains the growth hormone in addition to its effect in raising the blood cholesterol.

Researche of Hans Hietrich (9) confirm the existence of a high quantity of the Histamine in the swine meat, which prepares its eaters to catch the sensitivity diseases of the skin such as the eczema, urticaria and the dermatitis and many other diseases.

It has been found that the allergy and itching, which affect the swine meat’s eaters, diminishes when eating the pork including the sausage manufactured from it completely stopped .

The diseases, which the swine transmits:

The Islamic religion has forbidden the swine meat and this has been executed by the devoted Muslims who wilfully follow Allah path without discussion of the cause behind the forbiddance. But the scientists ,today, have reached amazing results in this respect (12): Isn’t it so amazing to know that the swine is a rich habitat for more than 450 epidemic disease, and that the swine plays the role of an intermediary agent for transmission of 57 diseases to the human being. Let alone the diseases which come as result of eating its meat such as dyspepsia, arteriosclerosis and else.

These diseases could be transmitted from the swine to the human being by different means (10): -

First: By way of daily contact during it’s breeding or by way of dealing in its product (these are considered an occupational diseases). They are not less than 32 epidemic which affect in most cases labours of the ranches and Slaughterhouses and also the veterinarians. These epidemics include some kinds of fungi, moaning, worms, moaning dysentery, spinal Japanese fever and the stomatitis.

Second: By way of contamination of the food & drink with the swine’s wastes. These are not less than 28 disease which include the dysentery, scares, hedgehog & liver worms, tapeworm, hookworm, taenia solium, the coiled silk worm and else.

Third: By means of eating the swine meat and its products. These are more than 16 epidemic disease including the whiteners disease, the swine resicles disease, Maltese fever, liver worm, wile disease, round worm (Trchocephalus), tape worm and cancer & else. This confirms what the scientist Kroll had stated that the forbiddance imposed on Muslims (not to touch the swines) needs no justification (6).

The Swine’s Parasites: -

We have known how the swine hosts in its body a big number of parasites and that more than 50 kind of them affect the human being (6). It is classified as diseases, which are common between animals & human beings (Zoonosis) and can be classified within the following groups:

The viral and gremial diseases: -

This includes the rabies, yellow fever, maltase fever and tuberculosis. But the most important ones, which the swine transmits are: -

1- The Meningeal and blood poison and this comes as result of infection with the streptococcus discovered in 1968 and which gave explanation to the obscure cases of death that occurred in Denmark and Holland at that time (8).It becomes obvious that the said germs are fatal to Man’s health and cause .Meningitis sickness by exertion of certain toxins in the sick person. The persons who suffered from this disease and escaped the death after hard treatment remained with permanent deafness and lack of balance.

2- The crape Diseases (12) whereas Dr. Hans Hietrich confirms that the Crape virus which transmits by the swine is the most toxic element. He quotes The Viral Researches Institute (9) in London that {the crape virus) exists in abundance in the swine’s lung which composes the sausage process. The viruses, which exist in the body’s vital organs, could easily attack in a form of epidemic disease when the circumstances so allow. This happens in cold climate and in the lack of sun rays such as the one that occurred in Germany after the Second World War when the people of Germany ate the gifts of swine meat and its by-products given to them by USA.

3- The swine Flu (8). This disease spreads in form of epidemic that affects millions of people. The serious effects of this disease is the brain infection, heart hypertrophy (enlargement) .The world witnessed the last hit of this disease in 1918 where more than 20 people had suffered from it.

4-The swine erysipeias (11). This disease communicates from the swine to the Butchers and Tanners and other people. The disease appears in form of very painful and big burning red spot in the hands accompanied by general symptoms such as fever, chill and infection of the lymph nodes and glands.

The diseases that communicate by the Protozoa (6-11): -

The swine is regarded as the hosting habitat for two kinds of protozoa called the Trypanosoma.The first one is the sleeping sickness parasite of Africa and the second one causes Shagas sickness of South America. The swine is also considered as the largest host of a kind of amoebic dysentery. In fact the most dangerous parasite is the one called Balantidium Coli, which lives inside the large intestines of the swine & monkeys. The rare chances of contacts between the monkeys and the human being make the swine the sole source, which communicates what is called the Dysenteric sickness. This is an occupational disease which affects labours who follow up the swine’s breeding or slaughtering where their hands get contaminated then contaminate the food which goes to those labour’s intestine and causes repeated and severe diarrhoea as well as colic, dizziness and loss of weight. This matter may leads to appearance of ulceration in the intestine and ultimately to the patient death.

The diseases that communicate by the insects & acaridae (6): -

The swine is regarded as host for a number of parasites that affect the human being. These parasites include some kinds of mosquitoes, flees and pediculus & among them is the Tesi Tesi fly which communicates parasite of the sleep sickness and some kinds of skin flies whose larva affects the mouth, eye, nose and open wounds. It includes some kinds of acarideae similar to the scabies parasite.

Diseases that communicate by the flat worms: -

The Trematoda: This affects the blood whereas the swine catches Japan

bilharzias worms whose eggs come down with its stool. It is also affected by one kind of lungs trematoda, which communicates to the human being in many countries. Regarding the enteric and liver trematoda, the swine keeps big share of them and these are: -

Fasciolopsis Buski an intestinal worms that live in the liver and it is wide spread in Asia from China to Bangaladesh.The mature worms live in the intestines causing local infections, bleeding and ulceration in the small intestine’s skin accompanied by chronic diarrhoea, anaemia and may cause hydro abdomen that leads to death ,it spreads in the Far East countries like Japan & China , where the swine is the included also to have Chlonorihis Sineasis and main host of it. These Worms live in the bile ducts and if their numbers increased in the patient a Kidney hypertrophy, chronic diarrhoea and severe jaundice will occur and end with death.

The Tape Worms (6): the swine suffers from two kind of them: the first one is the D.Latum where the swine is affected by the matured worm in the same manner like the human being. The other important kind is the Taenia Solium, which is called the Sole Armed Worm which lives its matured phase in Man’s intestine. The length of this worm is around 2-3 meters and it has a head, which is a smaller than the pin’s head having four suckers and surrounded by hoop of thorns in its top. A short neg follows that head in which small barbs or pieces are continuously grow as they become far from the head. This shape constitutes the worm’s body that looks like the tape and contains more than 1000 piece. The matured pieces are filled with thousands of eggs and it ultimately becomes a mere heavy cyst filled with those evil eggs ,each of them develops rounded barbed- hexagon embryo.

The last barbs disconnect from the worm’s body and go out with the patient’s stool and lives in the humid soil for long time until it is eaten by a swine along with its eggs. In the swine’s intestine its gastric juice dissolves.The casing of these eggs where the embryos come out and penetrates the intestine wall to the animal’s blood circulation. Through the blood, the said embryos settle in the swine’s muscles composing rounded or egg-shape vesicles of 6-18 millimetres long. Each vesicle has a head, which is transformable into complete new worm. This occurs when the patient eats from the swine meat before it is well cooked in order to kill the vesicles. The swine’s role here is one of an intermediary host, which considered as the sole source of human infection.

Man may replace the swine as intermediary host in a circle that ends in closed way when Man eats food contaminated with the said barbs (or the eggs). This happens if the food is contaminated by Man’s own wastes or from external source where the eggs hatch in its intestines and the barbed- hexagon embryos. The embryos penetrate the intestines wall & then enter his blood circulation and move in the blood to settle in any one of his organs whether the muscles or lungs or liver or heart or the brain. This causes vesicles problem or (cysts) and leading to what is called Cysticercosis.Whenever the number of these cysts in the body is big and if the organ in which it settled is vital one, the bigger danger is expected. The growth of these cysts in the brain leads to some fits of epilepsy and to partial organic paralysis accompanied by dizziness and sensational nervous disorder (neuropathy). It also release toxins in the blood that may lead to death, bearing in mind that no successful medication is known to this disease till now.

It is a right thing that, as claimed by advocates of the swine, that cows contract a similar worm called the isolated tapeworm. Man contracts the matured phase of that worm when he eats the cows’ meat accompanied by symptoms similar to those which are caused by the armed tape worm (of the swine) but only if he swallowed its eggs. This is important difference since the vesicles sickness in Man comes only from the swine tapeworm, bearing in mind that it is a very dangerous disease, which is incomparable with the cows’ worm.

The barbed- headed worm: - this worm is common in the swine and was discovered among the swine’s breeders in the Volga valley in Southern Russia.

The hair or Gordian worm: -this includes the stomach snake or the scaris whereas Smyth has proved that the swine assists in its spread, including the hair-headed worms but the most dangerous one is the Trichinella Spiralis (6-12).

The matured worms live in Man & swine’s intestines and it is short worms of 2-4 millimetres long. The females, which are filled with eggs, penetrate in-between the intestinal pubescents to lay down its larva therein. The females do not lay down its eggs whereas the eggs hatch when it is inside the females’ stomach. The larva then penetrates the intestine wall to enter the blood circulation, move with it and settles in the host’s muscles.

The worms grow there until it reach 1 mil. Long then surround itself in vesicle and if a human being eats meat of the affected swine, the vesicles dissolve in his intestines where the embryos come out in order to develop into matured worms. The matured hairworm in itself is not the dangerous thing to Man whereas the said worms fecundate inside his intestines and the males worms die. The fecundated females stay in the intestines’ walls to lay down its larva after one week. These larva penetrates the intestine wall to the blood to settle in any part of the human’s body causing what is called the Trichinosis. These Trichinosis are found in abundance in the patient diaphragm and in his throat, tongue and eyes.

The first phase of the sickness is distinct for gastric- intestinal disorders, severe diarrhoea, fever and general weakness.

The second phase that appears after the larva spread in the body is fatal in most cases. The symptoms of this phase are swelling of the eyelids, oedema, hard muscular pains, and disorders of the eyes movement, the breath & the swallow muscles. The patient will suffer from a fever, which might be continuously accompanied by heavy sweat and delirium. If the larva settled in the spinal cerebrum liquid, the symptoms of brain & meninges encephalitis (inflation) will appear.

After calcification of the said vesicles, the third phase starts by spread of the sweat in the face, stomach and the limbs accompanied by great and general weakness, skin eruption, bleeding, enlargement in the spleen and mental neurcopathy.

Most deaths occur between the fourth & fifth week.

It is well known that the Trichinosis has no specific medication and the actual problem is that the arthritis makes the diagnose difficult work. As result the sickness might not be described before occurrence of the death and before carrying out a medical test on a sample of the diaphragm.

When Nelson (6) speaks about spread of the Trichinella Spiralis in the European & American countries he , says in astonishment “ the cause behind our addiction of eating swine meat - we the people of the western world- is a perplexing puzzle, especially when we are always being reminded about the risks of doing and also when we read the holy Bible (referring to the fourteenth Bible of the Deuteronomy- Torah).

As to the devoted Jews and Mohammed’s followers they resumed their hatered of the swines and bereaved of enjoying its meat which resulted in complete lack of the Trichinella among their groups”.

The swines infection: Perhaps the most important source of the swines infection is the habit followed in the swines breeding on eating the garbage and the swines bad habit of eating the wastes and remains. The garbage contains the remains of sick swines to the extent that one researcher gave the name of Garbage Worm to the Trichinella. Thus the worm shares the dirt and abomination with the swine. Another important cause, which has observed by some researchers on infection of the swines is that, some swines eat the tails of their mates inside the swines crowded farms.

The rats and mice play an important role, it also contract the disease if they eat the meat remains of sick swines. The rats infect each other because they eat the meat of each other, whether they are live or dead, then the infection communicates to the swines if they ate the dead bodies of those rats thrown in the carbage heaps. Thus different cycles of infections occurs from one rat to another one , and from one swine to a rat and from a rat to a swine and from swine to human being.

Is it possible to avoid the diseases, which communicate by the swines?

Some people ask: Why the swines are not breeded in a clean and healthy environment? Why is there no adoption of detecting means in order to discover the diseased meat and to destroy it? If the said proposal is applicable in certain place & circumstances, is it possible to apply it in all circumstances? Is it better to avoid the risks and fatal habits or not? Perhaps the fact is that all these means were not effective in any place or at any time.

The proof comes from USA (6) where the level of living standard is high, as we know. As we see while the most poor Islamic country had escaped this evil but in USA there are infections which are thrice as much as of the whole world swines infections of parasites. Bearing in mind that the statistics are not accurate because the diseases are not clinically diagnosed except when they are severe and most cases are not diagnosed except after the death. In the west heavy procedures and expensive attempt take place in order to protect the swines and their eaters from the Trichinella Spiralis worms and else.

In USA where more than one million & half swine are wholly or partially breeded on the carbage feeding, laws were issued to state that the carbage should be exposed to hot vapour for half an hour before being given to the swines. But what are the results of these big efforts?

Statistics have estimated that around 5% of Boston & 18.5% of Mitchigan

slaughtered animals are infected by this disease ( Welcocas & Matson Bar)

On the other hand, the treatment of the meat with the radiant Cobalt and Sezium may result in causing sterility to the worms, a matter that prevents its growth. But this measure is a sensitive one and it is not easy to be applied.

The fast freezing by cooling and the long storage in very low temperature degrees kills the microscopic parasites.

The health instructions in USA states that the swine meat which are eaten without cooking should be stored for 20 full days in a temperature degree of 15 blow zero. Since the meat boiling kills the parasites, the boiling of meat is recommended for a period commensurates with its quantity. Despite the mentioned hard efforts & high expenses still the statistics refer to the high rates of infections.

Is it easy or not as common sense to avoid the swine meat in principle? Do the concerned persons forget that their work took long centuries in order to discover a number of infections resulting from eating the swine meat & who would confirm that no other diseases remained without being discovered by the science? Does the Islamic Sharia, which came to us ten centuries before the human sciences, deserve or not deserve our trust to give us the final word in respect of what is the Halal & Haram? ( allowable and not allowable )

The behavioural (moral) effects following eat of the swine meat:

Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) mentioned the effects of the food on behaviour of its eaters when he said: (the proud & arrogance is a nature in camels breeders and the quietness & gravity is a nature in sheeps breeders) Narrated by Imam Ahmed in Al-Musnad, narrated by Abi Said Al-Khudari.

Al-Fakhar Al-Razi (3) states that: “ Ahlo Al-ilim says- The food becomes part of the eater's nature and he should obtain morals & descriptions of what he had eaten .The swine’s nature is typically of great desire and rushing appetite towards the stimulating desirables. Its eating as food has been forbidden to prevent adaptation of Man’s nature to that extent”

Ibn Khaldon (12) says: “ the Bedouins eat the camel meat and they acquired the roughness and the Turkish eat the horse meat and they acquired the aggressiveness while the Europeans eat the swine and they acquired the kuckoldness) Recently scientists have different views on the effect of food on the natures and behaviour. Observations of many scientists led them to the result that the behavioural effects differ according to the most eaten kind of meat. They think that the swine meat and its fats have bad effect on the obstinence and jealousy for the honour if the person continued it’s eating (10). Their final finding is that the kind of food affects Man’s character, behaviour and conducts.

Dr. Al- Fangari (11) reports in an article that, those who eat the meat of the predatory animals have an evil nature in general, unmerciful and inclined to commit sins & crimes.

Eating the swine meat definitely affects Man’s character and general behavior. This matter is apparent in many western communities where there is much sodomy, lesbianism and adultery followed by widespread cases of illegitimate pregnancy and abortion as result.

The Pork Forbiddance

The prohibition of the pork was mentioned in the Holy Qur'an's verses in four points. ALLAH (Glory is to him) says :

(He hath only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides that of Allah. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits - then is he guiltless. For Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful) (The Cow's Chapter ...verse no: 173)

(Forbidden to you (your food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on wish hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; than which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject Faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful).(The table's Chapter...verse no: 3)

(Say: I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine, for it is an abomination or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than Allah's. But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits, thy Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful).(The Cattle's Chapter...verse no: 145).)

The Authority Muslim Al-Qurtoby said: Surely pig is prohibited wholly but its hair, it is allowed to make the beads wrought.

The healthy harms which are related to eating the pork

The dissimilitude between the pork & the other Cattle's meat:

The pork includes a big quantity of sebum and marked by inosculating the sebum inside the muscular cells in the meat fro by its coexisting outside the cell in the connective tissues in high turbidity

While the sebum of cattle's meat are isolated from the muscular tissue and it isn't posturize inside its cells but it is posturize outside the cells and in the connective tissues

And the cholesterol, which results from pork's analysis in the body appear in the blood in the form of semi-cholesterol pleomorphic which led to arise in the blood pressure a lot and arteriosclerosis and they are from the dangerous factors that introduced filling of the heart muscle, and professor Roff found that cholesterol that are found in the cancer rover cell are like the cholesterol which are found when eating the pork

The pork is rich with the compounds that contains a high rate of sulfur and all affect the tissues absorption ability to the water as sponge that take the shape of vast bag and this led to the deposition of the mucous substance in sinews, ligaments, cartilages between vertebrae and to degeneration in the bones

And the tissues that contains sulfur are damaged by rotten producing a spread bad odor and caused hydrogen sulphate gas and it was noticed that the containers that contains the pork although it is perfectly closed it's odor spreads from the room after few days as a result of it's bad rotten odor and it's unsustainable odor

Contrastly, other types of meat was passed by the same experiment and it was found that the rotten of beef is more slower than the pork and this rotten odor doesn't spread from it. The pork contains a high ratio of growth hormone which has a great effect on the infection (material's ends), also it has an effect on the stomach growth (The potbelly) and increase the growth rate especially the designed for growth and cancer development

According to professor Roff studies these fatty meals that contain pork consider essential in cell's cancer turning as it contains the growth hormone and it has a great effect in rising blood cholesterol

Diseases transported by pork:

Islamic forbids pork and Muslims apply it obeying to the order of Allah without argument in the causes of this forbidden but modern scientists reached to this astonished results in this field.

It's amazing that pig is rich pasture for more than 450 epidemic diseases and it is playing the role of intermediary to transform 57 diseases to man, in addition to these diseases that are caused from eating pork as dyspepsia, the atherosclerosis and many others.

The pig itself is responssible alone to transform 27 epidemic diseases to human and some other animals participate it in other diseases but it stills the store and the main source of these diseases as: The liar hydrophobia, Wile disease, Japanese fever, Malta fever, Scrofula, Meningitis, krip epidemics, The pig's flu & others.

The Movements of the Mountains

In one of the verses, we are informed that the mountains are not motionless as they seem but that they are in constant motion:

(You will see the mountains you reckoned to be solid going past like clouds. Such is the artistry of God, who disposes of all things in perfect order; surely He is Aware of what you do.) (Surat an-Naml, 88)

This motion of the mountains is caused by the movement of the earth’s crust that they are located on. The earth’s crust sort of floats over the mantle layer, which is denser.

It was at the beginning of the 20th century when, for the first time in history, a German scientist by the name of Alfred Wegener proposed that the continents of the earth had been attached together at the initial phases of the world, but then drifted in different directions and thus separated as they moved away from each other. Geologists understood that Wegener was right only in the 1980s.

50 years after his death, discovered as a result of the geological research carried out at the beginning of the 20^th century, this movement of the earth’s crust is explained by scientists as follows:

“The crust and the uppermost part of the mantle, with a thickness of about 100 kms, are divided into segments called plates. There are six major plates, and several small ones. According to the theory called plate tectonics, these plates move about on Earth, carrying continents and ocean floor with them. Continental motion has been measured at from 1-5 cm per year. As the plates continue to move about, this will produce a slow change in Earth’s geography. Each year, for instance, the Atlantic Ocean becomes slightly wider.”

There is a very important point to be stated here: God has referred to the motion of mountains as a drifting action in the verse. Today, modern scientists also use the term “continental drift” for this motion.

Unquestionably, it is one of the miracles of the Qur’an that this scientific fact, which has been recently discovered by science, was announced in the Qur’an.

The Developement Stages in the Human Creation

In these pages we are talking about you, we will wonder in human body to discover how he was created and which grades (stages) he passed

And now , let's make a short time trip and return period to the past to accurate together in this wonderful story that is full of miracles from the beginning and see how the human being was created. In aperiod of time his beginning was only one cell in his mother's belly, he was an impussant existence needing for protection, smaller than one salt molecule. You also was as this small cell described above like all other people on the earth 's surface , after while, this cell was divided and become two cells instead of one, then four, eigth, sixteen cells these cells increased in a continuous way, then itappears the first piece of meat then it takes a certain figure as it gets two hands, two legs and two eyes

The first cell was matured hundred milliard times and its weight six milliard times

So notice and imagine the only one drop of water became a human being, when Allah (Glory to Him) made many miracles to it, this human is able to read these words.

The holy Qur'an explained how the human was created Allah says : (Does Man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)* Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)* Then did he become a leech like clot; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion* And of him He made two sexes, male and female* Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead?) SURAH AL QIYAMAH(36.40)

The human's creation ;

People who are busy with the daily life, may not care about this important miracle which is happening every day ... the first stage in the miracle of creation is the maturation of the ovum cell in the orgasm of a woman's body named by the ovary. There is a long trip for the maturated ovum to take ... it will enter the fallop tube. here it will take a long space until it reaches to the womb . The fallop tube starts with a motivationto catch the maturated ovumbefore it exit from the ovary by a small period of time and it tries to find the ovum cell by weightless touches on the ovary the result of this the falloptube finds the matured ovum and pull it internally and then the trip of the ovum's cell starts.

The ovum must cross a long distance in the fallop tube , but it hasnt any organ that safe the way for it as fins or legs and thus a special system was created to its trip, millards of cells was functioned in the internal surface of the fallop tube to join the ovum to the uterus . these capillaries on the surfaceof these cells that is called siliya are moved towards the uterus by these cells continously , so , the ovum cell is carried from hand to hand to the distination that is must be directed towards it and its known as a very precious carrying and when we noticed these cappilaries we found it was cordinated in the shape and place that it must be on in a very smart plan and it performs a transportation movement together and to the same distination as if it isa machine and if a part of these cells didnt perform its task or performe the transportation to the various distination, the ovum will not reach to its goal and the parturation will not be acheived absolutely. But the creation of Allah is perfect, since every cell performe its task that it was commited to without any errors, and so it will present to the place specially for the ovum to the mother's wamb but the cell was transported accurately bu this way its age doesnt exceed than twenty four hours an d then it dies if it wasnt pollinated in this period and it need a life material .. the pollination .. i.e :

The semen that come from the man's body

The design of the semen :

The semen; it is functioned cell to join the man's genis to the ovum cell to the woman's body, if we imagine accurately we will see a designed equipment by special shape to carry this semen. The semen infront facing part is covered by a protective armor and under it a second armor , and the second armor also there is what is like the lorry (truck) that carry the semen and inside this truck there are twenty three chromosomes that are related to the man. All the informations that are related to the human body and the accurated details are hiddenin these chromosomes and it appears a new human being the twenty three that are found in the man's semen must compete with the twenty three chromosomes that are found in the woman's ovum . and so the first formation of a human body will appear from forty six chromosomes . The design of the armor that is found in the front part of the semen will protect this preciouse weight all this long space against al types of danger. And the semens design isnt like that only , the semen's central part is very strong machine and the pointof the engine is associated with the semen's tail. the power that engine generates makes the tail rotate like a fan and makes it safe for the semen to cut distance quickly . There must be fuel to make this engine work and this need is also found , the most economical fuel is the fruktoz which is on the liquid that is surrounded by the semen and so the engine fuel is saved through the distance that the semen will take to cut by vrtue of this completed design .

The semen crosses the distance to the ovum quickly in the notice of the semen size (related to the distance that was crossed, we will find that its quickly movement is like a boats race . Professor Jawad Babona the in the medicine college at Istambol Univ., he is the competent that the woman and the propagation's maladie nattered on the semen's traits by saying : "The semen's scells are produced in the father's body but its tasks dont acheive ever but in the mother's and any semen since the Man Kind history has returned to the father's body again after finishing its task in the mothers body to tell the cells that produced it about its task and what did she do and the events it faced . In that case , how become the semen's cell with a different phisique at all those thousands of cells sorts which are in the father's .. From where the semen's cell knows that it must go by carrying the hereditary'spregnancy which takes from the father to a phisique will endowed with the life after a period by carrying hauberk in the forehead?! From where the semen's cell knew that it must apart that bland velamen and takes arranged chemical armories with behind the hauberk ?!

As you see it's impossible that all the members of this mechanism , the events it is responsible with and the tasks the semen perform fortuity , also it's impossible the knowing comes through repetition. This is a clear etstimony that Allah glory to Him inspired it to make this task anbd taught it how to do that perfectly . . This hyperphisical design in the semen is a great creation's miracle . Such Allah glory to Him draws our attention to the creation of the semenin a Qur'anic verse in his saying: (Do ye then see? The (human Seed) that ye throw out,*Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?) SURAH AL WAQI`AH(58.59).

The difficult trip of the semen :

It's sent to the mother's womb in the one time may similar to a two hundred and fifty million semen, that number was limited by this increasing in a special way . because the semen faces deadly dangers just when it enters to the womb . There's a dens acidic mixture in the woman's gamic organ that prevents the pacteria's reaching. also this mixture is vital to the semen, after many minutes the wob's wall become covered with million dead semen, and after many hours a big part of the two hundred and fifty million semenbecome dead. This acid mix is very important to the mother's health and very strong, it can kill all the semens which enter to the womb easily. In this case the pollination will not acheive ever and the human's bread will finish. But taking the precautions is also necessary the mix which carrys the bace trait is added to the liquid containing the semen during the semen's production in the man's body. That mix removes a part of the acid mix in the mother's womb and by virtue of it thousands of semens can reach to the fallop channel's entry passing by the mother's womb . and the scientists observed that all semen directs to one way .. So, how it finds this right direction??!! from where it knew the ovum's place which is same to the salt molecule. The semen finds the ovum's place because another perfect system was created for it. The ovum sends a chemical hint to conciliate the semen which for about fifteen cm. ....the semen by virtue of this hint go towards the ovum briefly the ovum attracts the semen that it doesnt know anything about and didnt meet before ever and the two unnatural cells which dont know each other.

Also this truth is another testimony on the ovum's creation and the semen's with great attachment together.

The great meeting: In the end just thousands can reach the ovum but the race is not finished till now.

The ovum doesnt accept more than one semen; therefor a new race starts ...... there were two important dterrents front of the semen :the protecting layer which kill all sorts of microbes that tries to trench to the ovum and the ovum's tough cover which is difficult to riddle. Leaving the semen its trail is similar to the space shuttle's process and the rocket that has been sent for, there the energ containers an the engines when it hasnt meet for , during its breaking off from the atmosphere .How wonder ?! how the little semen did that by this accurate computation ??!!

When the semen do this computation it must know that it reached to the end of the way and it doesnt need the trai again.

The semen is a biology system doesnt feel and hasnt got any mind or science just Allah the greatest creator (glory to Him) ranged in the company of it a system acheives the trails segregating of it in the right time.

The semen leaves it trail out to bore the ovum and put the chromosomes through this borning and such the transfer of hereditary information and the result of doing hundreds of the different system which are a part of each others in an arrangement regular action the hereditary information that related to the man's body reached to the woman's body. and as we see no chance for any fortuity in the union of the semen with the ovum rather that happened by virtue of a designed and perfect plan this events which happened and the human didnt recognize and this accurate planning for every stage of these stages is a clear testimony that Allah (glory to Him) has created the human and sp we see that which has done the pollination is one semen could reached to the ovum and bored its outer wall and the prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon Him) refered before 1400 years ago this truth by saying : ( Not all the sperm bring child into being but if Allah wants to create thing nothing can prevent Him ) (Al- Emam Muslim reported the hadith in the (marriage book - the segregation issue ) .

The leaches :

The man's semen unions with the ovum and the hereditary information of them becomes beside each other and a one of the greatest miracles of the earth's surface has acheived so the mix of the hereditary information and foregather to create a new human and the meeting will happen. May be that's impossible to believe and inside this cell all information that related to the human who wasnt born yet like the child's eye, his skin' he colour, face and all his phisical traits are codes in, but its not only his external appearance but has been limited his skeleton and his internal organs like his veins ,even the blood cells shape which thrill inside his veins untill its number and all the details like the human's traits in the seventh age even them in the 70th everything is cleared and formed inside this cell.

The cell after a little period of the pollination does a very confounding contact that it devides and be two new cells and these cells devides to be four, so no the forming of a new human starts ..... but why the cell decied to devide why it takes upon itself and do this task ??! who gave the cell the information about this creation ??? this questions leads us to the being of Allah to whom be ascribed all perfection and majesty. he's only the owner of the science and the ability that are illimitable, the cells creator, the human's who is inside the cell, the world chich the human be in and al the universe he created all that from nothing. in these pictures we see the cells trip which devide and increase and see incessantly in the fallop tube. Mass of the cells has been named a pollinating ovum since now. During the deviding and the increasing of the cells inside the pollinatig ovum, also another confounding event is acheived, that some cells start in contrasting that the other during the cellective of the old cells in the center, the contrasting cells surround about them and after a little period another center cells group will form embryo that means the first case of the baby who will be born and the group about it will form the placenta which will mature the embryo. The growing embryo in the mother's womb starts the life by one cell, also this cell increases by copying itself. And here unless the intermediation of a special arrangement it will necessary for the cells deviding of the baby appearing a mass of meat in instituted of similar cells not a human but something like that doesnt happen because the cells are not standing to this limit. The semen and the ovum start in the constructing about each other after weeks of meeting by a hidden order has been given to them.

Jawad Babona has answered this questions by saying How all this similar cells make together this trip suddenly, as if they got an order from one place and all of them tended to different places to form different organs. this clarifies that these orders resembles cells dont know what they will do? Some of the resembles cells and DNA form the cerebrum, others form the heart and the remaining form the others organs. only Allah the creator of the heavens and the earth who is orienting them. The creating is lasting in the mother's womb. and this makes of the man's semen and the woman's was proved and affirmed in the hadith "prophetic traditional " before 1425 years: that a jewesh passed when prophet Muhammed (PBUH) was talking to his companions (Allah be pleased with them) , this disbelieves of Qurish said : O jewesh , this man alleged he is prophet knows but a prophet and he set down infront of him and said : O Muhamed which has been created from the man's semen and the woman's ?? Allah's messanger Muhammed (PBUH) answered the man's one is viscid , it has bone and nerve , but the woman's is thing so it has the meat and blood . the jewesh standed up and said : such , the prophets who were before you had said The emam Ahmed produced this in his predicate no. : 4206 . The umbilical chord saves the corelation between the mother's body and the embryo's which been cut and thrown after the parturation, was having a life task during the nineth month is a truth geometric miracle. inside this chord three disunited lines, one carrys the oxygen nutrition to the embryo in an environment full of liquids and his lungs full of water he doesnt die from the hang also he doesnt eat and his digestive system didnt form yet may these two basic things are given to him through the mother's belly.however the cords other two lines hurle the de trop of food and water the embryo products from his body. the mother and the embryo who grow inside her has no knowing about all these system but Allah (glory is to him ) created all the arrangements also to safe the embryo's life in a perfect shape.

The baby in bmother's belly grows and takes a shape, he reaches to a case he can move and live in the outer world, the final stages role comes as that is the parturation. but there is a great danger rests waiting for the baby who is inside mother's belly. The baby will be born from the mother's womb passing the bones of the pelvis and that is very dangerous because that will mate the baby's child during the parturation in these bottleneck demesne and that will make pressure on his skull but very special arrangements has been been to protect the child's health. The babys skull bones are mushy, didnt weld together opposite the adult and by vitue of that the bones are stretched specific quantity during the parturation which make spaces among the bones, prevents the skulls are ruin and the baby has been born in right parturation without harming the skull and the cerebrum. In the next months the heads skull will crue and the baby continues his life in right way. These events which are clarified in the book passed by all the people who have lived on the earth. we see that all people were created from sample semen have been throwed in the mother's womb and vetue of these special conditions it has unioned with ovum, the life started by just one cell and thinking about this truth is duty on every human, it is also your task to think ... how did you exist ?? and thank Allah your great creator and dont forget that Allah who created our bodies once will return creation after our death again anad that is is either for him and will hold reposible us on his graces he granted to us what did we do by ?? but who deny they creations truth by forgetting Allah (The greatest) and the beyonds are erroneous a great falt and Allah (glory to Him) reminds people like those in the holy Qur'an by saying : (Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold he (stands forth) as an open adversary.*And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (Origin and) Creation: he says, Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?*Say, He will give them life Who created them for the first time. For He is well versed in every kind of creation.)(SURAH YA SIN)(78.79).

Introduction

Though humanity gas reached a respectable degree of knowledge , they did not got every thind and many secrets are there unlocked .

God says in the holy Quran what means "Then praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lords of the earth, the Lord of the Worlds. And unto Him (alone) belongeth majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.( AL-Gathya 36-37)

"Praise be to Allah " is translation of " Al-Hamd li Allah " , this what Moslems' tongue repeats in the their prayers , at least repeated seventeen times in 24 hours .The early Moslem explainers gave an interpretation to the word (the worlds ) that reflects their broadmindedness as we will show . Our universe ,that is immensely large and in complete state of harmony has a diameter of 30,000 light year ( to understand this huge number , imagine that you travel at the speed of light (300,000 km per second ) , it will take you 30 milliards years to reach the furthest point in the universe .

Astrophysics scientists are completely preoccupied with the query " is there a another different world other than that lies in our circle of perception; what the dimensions of the universe are , if they are existent ..though we don't see them ….but most likely they are there as we don't see all that are remaining there and we can't see every entity .

God says what means " And unto Him (alone) belongeth majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger."( Al-Haka :38-39). Scientists are of the opinion that our universe might be a thin layer in the whole of the universe . ( figure (1))

The opinions of the early exegetes

AL-Kourtby says , in his collection of Quran exegesis , say that the exegetes areof different opinion concerning the quranic word " THE WORLDS"

Katada , an early Quran exegete , says the" Al-alameen , rendered in English " worlds " refers to all that are here or there other than God and it is always plural .

The son of Ibn Abas says that the word refers to both humans and jinnee , so it is plural .

Wahab Ibn Monaba says that God has created eighteen thousand worlds and that our world is one of them .

Saed Al-Khodary says that God has created forty thousand worlds and the whole of the earth , including all the creatures are one of them .

So many tantalizing queries about the possibility of the existence of other worldshave already been surfaced among scientific circles .

Among these questions are :

Are there any other worlds governed by laws different from that which govern our world ?

Where does the light travel faster than its known speed ?

Where can we find the power of gravitystronger than that we know ?

Where can we find the nuclear bonds less strong than that we know ?

Where can we find electrons less in charge than that we know ?

Where can we find universe different from ours ?

Where can we find world without all the known chemical elements -except Hydrogen and helium- than that we know .

Where can we find a universe without stars ?

Where can we find that atoms that contain the anti-protons and the anti-neutrons whish go round the Positron?

Where can time recede back ?

Where can all powers be unified ?

A lot of scientists think that there are universes other than ours , among those are Max Tugmart , Goal Kremier , Susan Wealze and David Hoytawes . The twin of our galaxy , 10 ²⁸ meters away from us ,is among these models that scientists predict its existence .

Max Tugmart says that the parallel universes are not just fictions , they are applications based on our cosmological studies .

The Malkuth between Quran and Science

What really astonished me is that I found the holy Quran words always in scientists mind when trying to express something fully especially the word " Malkuth " , which is originally Arabic word that was repeated several times in the Holy Quran .

John G. Cramer wrote: "Gene Wolfe has suggested that if our own universe is not all of Creation! But only one bubble out of many in the stream of Time, then calling it "The Universe" is no longer sufficient. We need a Name for it. He suggested "Malkuth", which is the Cabbalist name for "world". But I find Malkuth rather unappealing; it sounds too much like "uncouth" and would give completely the wrong impression of our Universe to an outsider".

If he knew that the word is mentioned in the Holy , he would not describe it as a harsh word , I wish he had heard the word in the Holy Quran and fully understood it .

God says in the Holy Quran what means"Have they not considered the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and what things Allah hath created, and that it may be that their own term draweth nigh? In what fact after this will they believe? ( Al-Araf:185)

Also God says in the Holy Quran what means"Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge?( AL-Moenoun :88)Therefor glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion over all things! Unto Him ye will be brought back.( Yasin :83)

Suzanne Willis discussed the topic of parallel universe that dates back to the very beginning of universe and said that the universes may be separated according to the separated theories in two important ways :the first way happened in the stage of the huge inflation of the universe in which a small part of the universe was expanded so large (figure 1) and it is possible that other parts in the universe did the same thing and developed giving other worlds . In the shade of the other way and according to quantum theory the parallel universes had come into being because of Quantum event .

The fist level : worlds that are governed by the same physics and the constants of our world physics yet the development of its material might be different

The second level of different physics constants and time dimensions from that we have in our universe.

The third level : every quantummay lead various copies.

The fourth level : has it own different laws of physics.

The Seven Layers of Earth

Probing the depths of the Earth and taking pains to uncover the secrets of its internal structure and composition, scientists came to realize that the old myths about the Earth are scientifically baseless. Scientists in the twentieth century decided that the Earth consists of only three layers. Having discovered the sphericity of the Earth, they suggested that this sphere comprises three parts; the core, the crust which is very thin compared to the total volume of the Earth and a third layer in between the two called The Mantle.

Evolution of the scientific facts

However, the three-layer theory didn’t hold true for long, owing to recent discoveries in Geology. Measurements and recent tests showed that the pressure of the material of the Earth’s core is immense and reaches three million times the pressure at the surface.

Under such pressure the material transforms into the solid state, which means that the core of the Earth is solid and is enclosed by a liquid layer of extremely high temperature. This also means that the core of the Earth consists of 2 layers not just one; a solid inner core and a liquid upper core.

Measurement devices developed and scientists were able to observe a clear distinction between the different parts of the Earth’s interior. A layer of hot rocks underneath the crust was discovered, that is the Lithosphere. Underneath the Lithosphere are three layers distinct in density, pressure and temperature.

Having discovered these layers, scientists found themselves dividing the Earth into seven layers and no more. The Cut-away view below shows these layers drawn to scale according to the recent findings of scientists. The fact that the Earth comprises seven layers is established. It is taught at universities and observed through seismographs and through studying the magnetic field of the Earth.

Scientists also found out that the atom consists of seven layers which confirms the uniformity of the creation because the system that governs the creation of the whole universe is one, the earth consists of seven layers and each atom on it consists of seven layers too.

The figure demonstrates the seven layers of the Earth. We note the thin crust then the four layers of the Mantle increasing gradually in thickness. Next is the liquid outer core then the solid inner core. They all add up to seven layers.

The layers of the Earth are radically different in composition, density, temperature and material. Hence, the Earth can not be considered as one layer as was previously believed. The notion of the seven layers is relatively new and didn’t exist at the time the Quran was revealed. Scientists in the twenty-first century concluded that the Earth consists of seven layers, but what does the Quran have to say about that?

What the Quran says:

Telling of the seven layers of the Heavens and the Earth, God says in the Holy Quran:

1- He (Allah) Who created the seven heavens one above the other – [Al Mulk: 3]

2- Allah is He Who created seven heavens and the earth the like of them – [ Al Talaaq: 12]

The first verse is talking about two characteristics of the heavens; their number, that is seven, and the arrangement of them (one above the other) or ‘in layers’. The second verse asserts the similarity between the Earth and the heavens (And the Earth the like of them), so as the heavens consist of seven layers, the earth identically consists of seven layers.

Let’s ponder on (one above the other). It denotes the layering of the Earth, and this is what today’s scientists discovered. Now we can see that the Quran had determined the structure of the Earth, which is in layers, and had also determined the number of these layers, that is seven. In other words, the Quran had given a precise description of the earth’s interior, thus it preceded the scientists of the twenty-first century by fourteen centuries in proving this fact. Isn’t this a splendid miracle of the Quran?

What the Hadith says:

Pondering on the Hadith (sayings) of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we’ll find one that asserts the existence of the seven layers of the earth concentric and one above the other. The prophet (PBUH) said: (Whoever usurps even one span of the land, his neck will be encircled because of it with seven earths) [narrated by Al Bukhari]. Here the prophet gave another characteristic of the layers, encirclement, by saying (will be encircled with it) and this is how the layers truly look like, they are concentric and each one encircles the one underneath it.

The question here is: Isn’t this a great miracle of the prophet? Not just that the Hadith determines the number of the earth’s layers, seven, and determines the arrangement of these layers, but it also bears an indication to the sphericity of the earth.

From this article we find that the Holy Quran and the Hadith reached these facts about the earth long before modern science did. The Quran had given us the precise description of the earth’s internal structure (layers one above the other) and also had given us the exact number of these layers, seven, while it took scientists long years of theorizing and re-theorizing to come up with the same conclusions. So exalted be Allah who said in His Holy Book : (And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure- and also in yourselves, can ye then not see) [Al Thariaat: 21-22].

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(We swear by the Altor mountain (1) And decree inscribed (2) In scroll which is unfolded (3) And Al-Baitul Ma'moor (Celestial structure resembling and directly above the Holy Ka'ba in heaven) (4) And heavens elevated (5) And seas sitting on bed of fire (6)) The Mount

To grasp the splendor in this verse we must examine the Arabic Adjective used for the sea in the Quranic text which is cSLfQ" ", pronounced "masjoor". The word is used for something which lies on, and is subsequently heated by, combustion or heat of some other substance underneath.

For centuries, Arabs and Muslims were mystified and could not comprehend how fire and water could co-exist.

Then came modern age geology and the discovery of faults in Earth's crust; an intricate interconnected network of seemingly separate faults stretching for hundreds of kilometers and going 65-150 kilometers deep into earth. It being one major fault is plainly stated in another verse where God Almighty swears by the Earth and the Fault in its structure. Scientists have come to liken this fault to an intricate design welded around the sphere of a tennis ball.

The cracks allow molten lave to gush through so that there is constant collision between cool sea water. Too much heat for the water to quell and too much water, even for temperatures of over 1000 centigrade, to be turned into steam, this is a phenomenon astounding scientists till today.

In one experiment, Russian Geologist Anatol Sbagovich, Russian Geologist and Biologist Yuri Bagdanov and US scientist Rona Clint ventured 1750 kilometers off the coast of Miami and then boarded a sophisticated submarine and descended two miles below surface. Its only in recent years that the problem of pollution so brazenly began to challenge life in all of its forms, chemicals are widely used with the result that new disease have appeared . All forms of life are in danger because of the unwise use of chemicals that contaminated the air and the sea and the land. The worst of all is the global warming that has affected the weather all over the world and this ,in its turn, has affected all forms of life and many disasters are lurking and lying in ambush. For the sake of brevity we mention some effects of the use of chemicals on human life as well as the animal life.

Pesticides, widely used pollutants , not only has affected the weather but also the human health.

In terms of general human health effects, pesticides can ...

affect and damage the nervous system;

cause liver damage;

damage DNA and cause a variety of cancers;

cause reproductive and endocrine damage;

cause other acutely toxic or chronic effects.

The effects of Mercury on human health

central nervous system effects like Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and Alzheimer's disease;

heart disease;

and, in severe cases, causing death or irreversibly damaging areas of the brain.

PCBs, Dioxins, and Other POPs

PCBs, dioxins, DDT, and a number of other persist ant organic pollutants don't readily break down in the environment and tend to collect in the fatty tissues of animals. All of these chemicals are toxic for the animals that harbor them. In cases where humans might eat, say, a PCB-contaminated frames salmon

, their systems must deal with the chemical insult.

Here are a few specific examples of the effects of POPs-related water pollution:

PCB contamination in Puget Sound exceeds the level known to suppress immune function in the harbor seal. PCBs are also thought to be a factor in the decline of Puget Sound killer whales, whose numbers declined by 14% between 1995 and 2003.

Elevated levels of PCBs and DDT may be contributing to the deaths of California southern sea otters.

The breeding success of Baltic seals declined sharply in the 1960s and 1970s. Scientists suspect that PCBs were the main culprit.

Deformed fish and other aquatic life have been found near Swedish pulp mills that use chlorine as a bleaching agent—a practice that results in discharges of dioxins and other highly toxic substances.

Global warming is imparting extra heat to our oceans, which have absorbed about 20 times as much heat as the atmosphere over the past half-century. The ocean is a complex system, and scientists don't know yet what all of the effects of this type of "water pollution" will be, but here are some likely ones:

Sea levels will rise (because of thermal expansion and melting ice), increasing coastal flooding and inundation.

There will be more intense hurricanes as they gather additional strength from warmer surface waters.

Temperature-sensitive species like corals will see tougher times. The Pew Oceans Commission notes that an increase in the mean sea-surface temperature of only 2 degrees F could cause the global destruction of coral reef ecosystems.

Increasing sea-surface temperatures are associated with the northward spread of a oyster pathogen in the eastern US. Similar cases are highly likely

A scientific study says that changes in the weather may have led to disappearance of many creatures by the year 2050. After a long keen study in six places in the world , it is reported that one fourth of the living creatures that live on the earth will be extinct. They also say that applying the strict procedures of restricting and reducing the rate of the gases that cause global worming may save many species of animals. The united Nations affirms that not only is animal life in danger but also human life also is too. This study was aided with data taken from the British Commission for the study of the weather change.

In another report, titled “ The expected danger of the disappearance of animals and the change in weather, scientists published a study that was applied on places where various living beings live; this area approaches(20%) of the total area of the earth. Electronic advanced technology were used in the study on mammals , plants, birds, reptiles, frogs and butterflies. This study was concerned with animals and birds’ reaction to any change in the temperature of the weather. Scientists have set three probabilities of the consequences of weather changes; these are consequences resulting from weak changes in the weather change, consequences resulting from moderate change in the temperature of the weather and the consequences resulting from the utmost degree in the change of the temperature of the weather.

The search team affirms that between (15%-37%) of the animals in the area that search was done on are liable to extinction because of the weather change in the few coming years, if we generalize these data on the world, says the leader of the team, a lot of species will be extinct as their habitation will no longer suit them ,in addition , many species won’t be able to emigrate into other suitable habitation.

The consequences of the weather change are really gruesome; the least change in weather would bring forth the loss of (18%) of living creatures till 2050, moderate change in weather temperature would bring about (24%) of animal loss. In case of the utmost change in weather temperature, the loss of animals will be (35%).

In this study, One of the scientists who studied weather change says matters will go on as if we can’t do any thing to avert that debacle, we should do anything to keep the least scenario of that disaster.

Another study says if a million of creatures are extinct, milliard of people, especially those who live in developing countries, will face famines because they depend on nature for food and medicine and many other things

Marine damage

Scientists affirm that the quantity of carbon dioxide that oceans absorb has decreased to (50%), with help of

technologically equipped ships that measured the ratios of carbon dioxide, we have got 90 samples that all affirm this fact.

A ten-year keen study on the north of the Atlantic ocean shows that between the middle of the 90s to 2005 , the rate decreased to (50%), scientists say the rise of the earth temperature will go on if the quantity of the absorbed gases that causes global warming goes on.

Researches published in the National Geographic say the results they have reached were stunning as there were some reasons that assure that it is enough ,oceans are absorbed with gases emissions, scientists still affirm the fact that the less oceans absorb gases, the more the global warming rises.

BBC head of environmentalist says that researchers are at loss concerning the etiology standing behind this change; some attribute it to changes in the weather while others attribute to other changes, yet they all say these researches worry them so much as in the course of time the oceans will be saturated with our gases emissions, thus these oceans will be unable to absorb any more and the left gases will surely rise the temperature of the weather, half of the quantity of Carbon dioxide will turn into coal residue.

Another study from Proudman lab for oceanology says that the international level of see level remained stable on the span of the last 2000 years; the change was only 2 CM during this long period yet by the turn of the present century ,we expect that sea level may rise to (0.8-1.5 meter), this fast change in the rate of the sea level is connected with the rate of ice melting in the two polars.

This rise in the sea level will badly affect the lower regions of countries .

Saymon Holgete says that there are tenable proofs that there are some changes in the level of water in sea in the last few thousand years that preceded the last three hundred years, there are some archeological proofs deduced from the study of fish rearing basins that the Roman built, these shows so little rise in water during the last two thousand years, if this ratio is compared with the rise in water during the last three hundred years , it would be awful rate, the rate of water has reached (3CM) a year, concerned scientists even expect that this rise may increase in the future.

Fauna and flora at danger

A new scientific study says that the change in the weather has led to changes in the life of animal and plants , the rise in temperature by one degree may lead to the extinction of some animals, moreover this rise affects the development of some animals in their mother’s wombs.

The Holy Quran, though condemns the unwise human being interference in nature, it has prophesied the change in weather and the corollaries that will be ensued both on the land and the sea and even determined who is responsible, God says in Quran what means “ Evil has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned.”

The holy Quran says that people will go beyond every limit in earning wealth; rich countries that based its ideology on secularism are the ones that tampered with nature to earn huge wealth and they polluted the nature, The Holy Quran says in this regard what means”yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.” ( Al-Ma’eda:31)

The Holy Quran has warned against those who do mischief in the earth for the purpose of the excessive extravagance and luxuriousness and the milliards spent on what displeases God, in the following verse God has correlated between doing mischief in the earth and tampering with nature, including the fauna and flora…this holy verse implies the extinction of some animals because of the human tampering with nature.

The following verse really expresses the dilema and condemns it so much, God says in the Holy Quran what means"

And when he turns back, he runs along in the land that he may cause mischief in it and destroy the tilth and the stock, and Allah does not love mischief-making.

Memory tests performed on the men showed that most of them best remembered photographs of headless women in bikinis despite viewing each image for only a fraction of a second.

Anecdotally, Muslim women often speak of feeling "protected," "safe," and "respected" when they wear the hijab (religiously mandated modest dress that covers the shape of the body and includes the headscarf or veil). Now there may also be evidence to show that their feelings are rooted in scientific fact.

When psychologist Susan Fiske and a team of researchers at Princeton University performed MRI brain scans on heterosexual men who viewed a series of images showing both scantily clad and fully clothed men and women, they found that the men had an unmistakable response to women wearing less clothing.

The less they wore, the more likely it was for the premotor cortex and the posterior middle temporal gyrus to light up. These are the areas of the brain associated with tool use, hand manipulation, and the urge to take action. (Cikara, Dell'Amore)

"It was as if they immediately thought about how they might act on these bodies," Fiske explained during the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science which was held in Chicago, February 12-16. "They are reacting to these photographs as people react to objects," she said. (Nicholson)

Fiske and her team further examined the men for hostile sexist attitudes. They found that those rated as more hostile had little activity in areas of the brain that are associated with considering another person's thoughts and feelings (a phenomenon called mentalizing) when looking at sexualized photos of women in bikinis. Sexualized Women Viewed as Less Human

Several studies further demonstrate the link between viewing pornography and committing violence against women, including rape and sexual assault.

According to a lay summary of Fiske's study provided to IslamOnline.net, when a man's mentalizing network shuts down, this means he views sexualized women as "less human." (Cikara)

This type of dehumanization is something Fiske says has rarely been observed in the laboratory setting—only "once before," according to a recent National Geographic article, which cited a study in which people were shown "off-putting photographs of homeless people and drug addicts." (Dell'Amore)

In the case of scantily clad women, however, men do not demonstrate the same feelings of avoidance as they do with populations like the homeless, which are often shunned by society. Instead, they wish to act on them as one would "push," "handle," or "grab" an object—first-person action verbs that men associated with the images of women in swimsuits. (Dell'Amore, Landau)

Mina Cikara, a Princeton University graduate student who was involved in conducting the study, added that men do not view their wives or sisters in the same manner they view sexualized images of women. In addition, men associated the images of women who were more fully clothed with third-person verbs, such as "she pushes," "she handles," and "she grabs," which, according to Fiske, implies that men view fully-clothed women as having more command over their own actions and not as objects to be manipulated. More Clothing, More Respect

"One of the main objectives of hijab is to safeguard women from the gazes of people of weak morals."

According to Fiske, the results of the study have important implications for women, especially in the workplace as it has previously been shown that viewing sexualized images of women can affect how men perceive women and interact with them afterwards. (Landau, Sample)

A sexism study conducted by Lawrence University professor, Peter Glick, also found that professional women who wear provocative attire in the workplace are perceived by their co-workers as being less competent and less intelligent, especially when they are in positions of power. According to DiversityJobs.com, Glick's study suggests that "women in higher level and high power jobs may need to dress more modestly and conservatively to win the respect of their colleagues." Several studies further demonstrate the link between viewing pornography and committing violence against women, including rape and sexual assault. In the wars of Bosnia and Iraq, soldiers who committed atrocious crimes and dehumanized the other side were often found to be regular consumers of pornography, even viewing pornography on purpose to "psyche themselves up" for the work of killing. Fiske compared the results of her study to studies showing that viewing television can desensitize one to the effects of violence. "You have to be aware of the effect of these images on people," Fiske told The Daily Princetonian. "They’re not neutral. They do have an effect on how people think about other women." Dignity and Confidence

"There were times where I wish I was covered up more so that I could just get home without worrying about who might be following me."

Despite mounting evidence showing the benefits of modest and conservative dress, media portrayals of the hijab frequently depict Muslim women as victims of oppression, mind-control, and abuse.

Karen Danielson, however, maintains that wearing the hijab gives her both dignity and confidence. Danielson, an American living in Jordan, first wore the hijab more than two decades ago, shortly after embracing Islam in 1983.

"When I walk in public, I cannot be looked at or judged based on my sensuality or lack of either, or how I attract or not attract men," she explained to IslamOnline.net. "I define myself based on my upright behavior and intelligence—what my dress upholds—and I am humbled in my modest dress."

"I feel that I can be myself, a unique individual with her own voice to speak," added Sumayah Finnigan. "I am not conforming to the majority in what they say and wear and thus I am me - which is thoroughly liberating."

Balqees Mohammed, an American who embraced Islam in 1979, holds similar views and told IslamOnline.net that the hijab "promotes modesty...for the woman as well as all those around her."

Mohammed, who lives in Saudi Arabia and covers her face in addition to the rest of her body, says that her way of dressing "causes others, particularly men, to not be so free to engage in unnecessary discussion."

Hijab and Safety

"The message that the woman gives when she wears Islamic dress is as follows: 'Respect me for who I am. I am not a sex object.'"

"I definitely feel safer wearing hijab and dressing modestly in general," Cari Abudeyeh, another American living in Jordan and a practicing Muslim of twelve years told IslamOnline.net.

"I feel it is my barrier against men staring or disrespecting me and my boundaries. It is a barrier to prevent or change that first instinctive look men give you to check you out and see what you are 'about,' a barrier to prevent sexual feelings you didn't intend them to feel or ideas in their heads that are created by dressing provocatively."

She went on to say that "It's a protection against men approaching you in an inappropriate manner, helping to influence their decision in the way they stand by you, talk to you, look at you, or even prevent them from touching you."

Finnigan, who is from London, contrasts wearing the hijab, which she describes as "an act of obedience to the Creator" that "makes women safer in both the literal sense and the spiritual sense," with the feelings of vulnerability she used to experience before accepting Islam and the hijab in 1999.

"There were times where I wish I was covered up more so that I could just get home without worrying about who might be following me," said Finnigan. "Every night I would venture out and return home always looking over my shoulder, afraid I would be attacked or raped."

"There will always be those who will or may attack women regardless of their manners or style of dress," acknowledges Mohammed. However, she sees the Muslim hijab as "an added help to ward off possible physical approaches."

"One of the main objectives of hijab is to safeguard women from the gazes of people of weak morals and from those seeking to indulge in unlawful worldly pleasures," says Sheikh Riyad Al-Musaymiri, a professor at Al-Imam University in Riyadh. (IslamToday.com)

According to IslamToday.com, some Western observers have assumed that the head covering of a woman is meant to show her inferiority to men.

“This could not be further from the truth. The Qur'an explicitly states that the reason for her dressing this way is so that she will be respected. The message that the woman gives when she wears Islamic dress is as follows: 'Respect me for who I am. I am not a sex object.'" (IslamToday.com)

For Mohammed, the choice to wear the hijab was an obvious one. "For me, it was not a question of safety. I never even thought of it in that light," she explained.

"It was a question of following Allah's directives. For me, I was [neither] happy nor satisfied in becoming a Muslim only half-way. Either I became a Muslim and followed the commands and directives the best that I could, or I remained as I was previously."

"My dress helps to remind me about my behavior and my religion and it indicates to others the same," added Danielson. "And that is security on more levels than just safety in public; it is peace of mind and a protected heart that is molded. Alhamdulillah (Praise to God)!"

The Formation of Rain

How rain forms remained a great mystery for a long time. Only after weather radar was invented was it possible to discover the stages by which rain is formed.

According to this, the formation of rain takes place in three stages. First, the "raw material" of rain rises up into the air with the wind. Later, clouds are formed, and finally raindrops appear.

The Qur'an's account of the formation of rain refers exactly to this process. In one verse, this formation is described in this way:

(It is God Who sends the winds which stir up clouds which He spreads about the sky however He wills. He forms them into dark clumps and you see the rain come pouring out from the middle of them. When He makes it fall on those of His slaves He wills, they rejoice.) (The Qur'an, 30:48)

Now, let us examine these three stages outlined in the verse more technically.

FIRST STAGE: " It is God Who sends the winds..."

Countless air bubbles formed by the foaming of the oceans continuously burst and cause water particles to be ejected towards the sky. These particles, which are rich in salt, are then carried away by winds and rise upward in the atmosphere. These particles, which are called aerosols, function as water traps, and form cloud drops by collecting around the water vapour themselves, which rises from the seas as tiny droplets.

SECOND STAGE: ".... which stir up clouds which He spreads about the sky however He wills. He forms them into dark clumps..."

The clouds are formed from water vapour that condenses around the salt crystals or dust particles in the air. Because the water droplets in these clouds are very small (with a diameter between 0.01 and 0.02 mm), the clouds are suspended in the air, and spread across the sky. Thus, the sky is covered in clouds.

THIRD STAGE: "…and you see the rain come pouring our from the middle of them"

The water particles that surround salt crystals and dust particles thicken and form raindrops, so, drops that become heavier than the air leave the clouds and start to fall to the ground as rain.

As we have seen, every stage in the formation of rain is related in the verses of the Qur'an. Furthermore, these stages are explained in exactly the right sequence. Just as with many other natural phenomena on the Earth, God gives the most correct explanation of this phenomenon as well, and made it known to people in the Qur'an centuries before it was discovered.

In another verse, the following information is given about the formation of rain:

(Have you not seen how God drives along the clouds, then joins them together, then makes them into a stack, and then you see the rain come out of it? And He sends down from the sky mountain masses (of clouds) with cold hail in them, striking with it anyone He wills and averting it from anyone He wills. The brightness of His lightning almost blinds the sight.) (The Qur'an, 24:43)

Scientists studying cloud types came across surprising results regarding the formation of rain clouds. Rain clouds are formed and shaped according to definite systems and stages. The formation stages of cumulonimbus, one kind of rain cloud, are these:

1.STAGE, Being driven along: Clouds are carried along, that is, they are driven along, by the wind.

2.STAGE, Joining:Then, small clouds (cumulus clouds) driven along by the wind join together, forming a larger cloud.⁽¹⁾

3.STAGE, Stacking:When the small clouds join together, updrafts within the larger cloud increase. The updrafts near the centre of the cloud are stronger than those near the edges. These updrafts cause the cloud body to grow vertically, so the cloud is stacked up. This vertical growth causes the cloud body to stretch into cooler regions of the atmosphere, where drops of water and hail formulate and begin to grow larger and larger. When these drops of water and hail become too heavy for the updrafts to support them, they begin to fall from the cloud as rain, hail, etc.⁽²⁾

We must remember that meteorologists have only recently come to know these details of cloud formation, structure and function, by using advanced equipment like planes, satellites, computers etc. It is evident that God has given us a piece of information that could not have been known 1,400 years ago.

(A) Isolated small pieces of clouds (cumulus clouds)
(B) When the small clouds join together, updrafts within the larger cloud increase, and so the cloud is stacked up.

These updrafts cause the cloud body to grow vertically, so the cloud is stacked up. This vertical growth causes the cloud body to stretch into cooler regions of the atmosphere, where drops of water and hail formulate and begin to grow larger and larger. When these drops of water and hail become too heavy for the updrafts to support them, they begin to fall from the cloud as rain, hail, etc. This scientific fact was announced in verse 43 of Sura Nur fourteen centuries ago by God in this way: "...then (He) makes them into a stack, and then you see the rain come out of it"

The question of the existence of God that the atheists remained for along time devoting themselves to topple and make it shaky has become so strong that none but those with blind hearts can deny. The law of chance and Darwinism, if put in face of the new discoveries in the universe and the anatomy of the human body, will be something ridiculous , such untenable claims should be closed in the archives of history as it has never been proved and in the same time self-contradictory.

Everything from the atom to the galaxy is tailored to the well being of the human being. The discovery of the DNA and its constituents and how it works has dealt another heavy blow to the law of chance. Allah says in the Holy Quran what means" We shall show them Our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the Truth. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things?(41:53) and Also God says" And in your creation, and all the beasts that He scattereth in the earth, are portents for a folk whose faith is sure.( 45:4)

Even the simplest cells are bristling with high-tech machinery. On the outside, their surfaces are studded with sensors, gates, pumps and identification markers.

Inside, cells are jam-packed with power plants, automated workshops and recycling units. Miniature monorails whisk materials from one location to another. No such system could arise in a blind, step-by-step Darwinian process.

The most advanced, automated modern factory, with its computers and robots all coordinated on a precisely timed schedule, is less complex than the inner workings of a single cell.

DNA is like a language in the heart of the cell, a molecular message, a set of instructions telling the cell how to construct proteins-much like the software needed to run a computer. Moreover, the amount of information DNA includes is staggering: A single cell of the human body contains three or four times more information as all 30 volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica. As a result, the question of the origin of life must now be redefined as the question of the origin of biological information. Can information arise by natural forces alone? Or does it require an intelligent agent?

DNA is composed of ordinary chemicals (bases, sugars, phosphates that react according to ordinary laws. What makes DNA function as a message is not the chemicals themselves but rather their sequence, their pattern. The chemicals in DNA are grouped into molecules (called nucleotides) that act like letters in a message, and they must be in a particular order if the message is going to be intelligible. If the letters are scrambled, the result is nonsense. So the crucial question is whether the sequence of chemical "letters" arose by natural causes or whether it required an intelligent source. Is it the product of law or design?

Since DNA contains information, the case can be stated even more strongly in terms of information theory, a field of research that investigates the ways information is transmitted. The naturalistic scientist has only two possible ways to explain the origin of life-either chance or natural law. But information theory provides a powerful tool for discounting both of these explanations. Both chance and law lead to structures with low information content, whereas DNA has a very high information content."

The sequence of basis in DNA can not be explained by natural law because there are no chemical laws that make any sequence more likely than another. At the same time these sequences are so complicated that they can not be explained by chance.

"Based on probability factors . . any viable DNA strand having over 84 nucleotides cannot be the result of haphazard mutations. At that stage, the probabilities are 1 in 4.80 x 10[[50]]. Such a number, if written out, would read:

480,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

"Mathematicians agree that any requisite number beyond 10[50] has, statistically, a zero probability of occurrence (and even that gives it the benefit of the doubt!). Any species known to us, including the smallest single-cell bacteria, have enormously larger number of nucleotides than 100 or 1000. In fact, single cell bacteria display about 3,000,000 nucleotides, aligned in a very specific sequence. This means that there is no mathematical probability whatever for any known species to have been the product of a random occurrence—random mutations (to use the evolutionist's favorite expression)."—I. L. Cohen, Darwin was Wrong, 1984, p. 205.

The study of DNA provides powerful new evidence that life is the product of intelligent design.

Today, holding on to the hope that some natural process will be found to explain DNA is supremely irrational. The elusive process that naturalists hope to find would have to be completely unprecedented, different in kind from any we currently know.

Although humans share about 97% of their DNA structure with some higher non-human animals, those last 3% are so vital that all of human civilization, religion, art, science, philosophy and, most importantly, their moral nature depends upon it.

It is the 3% that distinguishes the theistic view of man's origin from the non-theistic view, as well as from the various societal and cultural consequences distinguishing each belief. As John Quincy Adams warned long ago, without a belief in theistic origins [in that three percent difference] man will have no conscience. He will have no other law than that of the tiger and the shark."

ON ALL FRONTS, scientists are being forced to face up to the evidence for an intelligent cause. Ever since big bang theory was proposed, cosmologists have had to wrestle with the implications that the universe had an absolute beginning-and therefore a transcendent creator. The discovery of the information content in DNA is forcing biologists to recognize an intelligent cause for the origin of life. So, too, the fact of irreducible complexity is raising the question of design in living things.

God says in the Holy Quran what means"And say: Praise be to Allah Who will show you His portents so that ye shall know them. And thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do.(27:39)

Fingerprints and the human identity

Allah says : (I do call to witness the Resurrection Day;*And I do call to witness the self reproaching spirit: (eschew Evil).*Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? *Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers*But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him.) (SURAH AL QIYAMAH:1.2.3.4.)

Every human being including the true twins, has a particular fingerprint. Therefore individuals can be identified according to their fingerprints, And the DNA system used nowadays.

The linguistic explanation :

Ibn Mandhour in his book: Arab's tongue said that the word "Binan": is the tip of the finger in the hands or the feet, however the word "binana" is the whole finger. It may also describe the connection in the finger.

The understanding of the scholars:

The khortobi said about the explanation of this verse that "binan" as an Arabic term means fingers its singular is "binana".

Both the khrtobi and zojaja said that the disbelievers denied the ability of Allah to give life back to the dead and to assemble their bones. So Allah replied in this verse that he is able to recreate the very small finger tips and organize and structure them, so he is surely able to recreate much bigger things.

This verses of the holly Quran has astonished the scholars, as the Almighty Allah swore by the day of judgement and by the human inner that always balms oneself when a sin is committed. Allah swore by these two on something very important, considered to be the second element in the Islamic belief : believing that humans will be recreated and there bone reassembled for the day of judgement to evaluate there deeds. Allah clarified that since he is able to arrange the finger tips, He will also bring together there bones and give life back to them.

However something is still unclear, Allah is able to create the smallest fingers and their tips which is a very minor part of the human body. That doesn't necessarily mean that Allah is also able to reform the dead bones, because the ability to create a part doesn't definitly mean the ability to create the whole.

Many scientists have tried to discover the importance of the fingers and to demonstrate the secret in their creation. For that, they studied the complex bones, the composition of the nails and the nerves in the fingers. But they were unable to discover the unreavealed part of these verses until the 19^th century, when the difference in the fingerprint between people was discovered.

The scientific facts about the fingerprints:

In 1823 a scientist specialised in dissection "purkinjie" discovered the fingerprints, he noticed that they differ from one person to an other and they exist in many types: the lines may take the form of a sphere, an arch or bonds, it may also be complex consisting of many shapes.

In 1858 i.e. 35 years later, the English scientist William Herschel established the difference in the fingerprints between people as a mean to differentiate between them.

In the 1877 Dr Henry Faulds was the first to put the fingerprints on paper using the printing ink.

In 1892 Dr Francis Galton proved that the finger print will remain unchangeable during the life time of its carrier in spite the accidents that may happen.

Some scientists have found that an Egyptian mummy that has been embalmed ages ago; still have its fingerprints very clear and unchanged.

Galton has also proven that it is impossible for two people to share the same fingerprint, and he also ensured that these lines on the tip of the fingers occur in the foetus in the womb of the mother at the age of 100 to 120 days.

A year later In 1893 the Scottish consul, Edward Henry has set up an easy system to collect and organise the fingerprints of people. He suggested that a finger print could be classified as one of eight types and he considered that the ten fingerprints of the hand are the whole unit to identify a personne. In the same year the fingerprints were introduced in Scotland police offices as a direct and a very strong proof.

Since discovering the fingerprints scientists have carried many studies and experiments in different races of people and no resemblances have been found

The fingerprints are essential for detecting a personne in spite his refusal to admit the truth. And even if a the appearance of a personne changes due to age, an illness, a surgery or an accident , it is possible to identify him by referring to the fingerprints.

That's why Allah has said in a verse of the Quran:

Allah says :(On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.) (SURAH AL NUR:24)

And maybe the hands and legs of the sinners will witness on the day of judgement, due to the fingerprints left on the places where the sins were committed.

The miracle in the Quran:

When the disbelievers in Mecca have denied the existence of the day of judgement, and refused to accept the power of Allah and his ability to send them back after there death and to gather there bones, Allah has answered that he is not just able to reform there bones but also to recreate there fingerprints, this small part of the human body which identifies its carrier and allow us to differentiate between individuals under any circumstances. All this was proven by scientific experiments in the end of the 19^th century. This is a real miracle that indicates the power of the creator Allah who said in the Quran:

Allah says: ( Soon will We show them Our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?) (SURAH FUSSILAT:53)

The Coccyx

The Coccyx

The Coccyx is the last bone in the vertebral column. It was mentioned in many Hadiths that this bone is the origin of humans and the seed from which they will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment and that this part doesn’t decay in the earth.

The honoured Hadiths:

Abu Huraira reported that The Prophet (PBUH) said: “All what of son of Adam will (be eaten???) by the earthexcept the coccyx from which he was created and from which he will be resurrected ” Reported by Albukhari, Al Nassaii, Abu Daoud, Ibn Majah and Ahmad in his Mousnad and Malek in his Mouattaa.

As was reported by Abu Huraira the prophet (PBUH) said: “There is a bone in the Son Of Adam that the earth will never eat. They said what is it Oh Prophet of Allah? He said: It is the coccyx” Reported by Albukhari, Al Nassaii, Abu Daoud, Ibn Majah, Ahmad in his book “al Mousnad” and Malek in his book “Al Mouattaa”.

So the previous Hadiths are clear and contain the following facts:

Human are created from the coccyx.

The coccyx does not get decayed.

On the Day of Judgment, the Resurrection will be from the coccyx.

Stages of foetus formation:

When the sperm fecundate the ovule, foetus formation starts. The fecundated ovule or the zygote divides into 2 cells, and each cell divides into another 2 cells. Cells division and growth continue until the formation of the embryonic disk that contains 2 layers:

The vertebral column and the last vertebrae

External “Epiblast”: contains the cytotrophoblasts that fix the embryo in the uterus wall and enable its nutrition from the blood and the secretions of the glands of the uterus wall.

Internal “Hypoblast”: From which the foetus is formed with the Will of Allah The Almighty. On the day15 the primitive streakappears in the dorsal aspect of the embryo with a pointed end called the primitive node.

The side on which the primitive streak appears is known as the back of the embryonic disc. From the primitive streak and node all the foetus tissues and organs are formed as follows:

The Ectoderm: gives the skin and the central nervous system

The Mesoderm: gives the digestive tract smooth muscles, the skeletal muscles, the circulation system, the heart, the bones the sexual and urinary systems (except the bladder), the subcutaneous tissues, the lymphatic system, the spleen and the cortex.

The Endoderm: the linings of the digestive tract and the respiratory system, the organs related to the digestive tract (ex: liver and pancreas), the bladder, the thyroid gland, the hearing canal.

After that, the primitive streak and node become emaciated and reside in the sacral zone, in the last vertebrae, so that the coccyx is formed.

Therefore, the primitive streak and the primitive node represent the coccyx that the prophet (PBUH) told us about.⁽¹⁾

Foetus malformation is a proof that the coccyx contains the mother cells for all the human tissues:

After the creation and formation of the foetus from the primitive streak and the primitive node, those reside in the last vertebrae of the sacrum (the coccyx) and retain their characteristics. If those are motivated somehow, they start to grow similarly to the foetus growth and so give a tumour (Teratoma) that resembles a defective foetus with some organs fully formed (hands or feet with nails) (see the picture). Therefore the sacrum indeed contains the mother cells and what the prophet (PBUH) said about the Resurrection of humans from their coccyx on the Day of Judgment has been proved.

The conclusion: the coccyx contains the primitive streak and primitive node and those are able to grow giving the three layers that form the foetus: ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm and so can give all the organs as the surgeon when opening the tumour previously mentioned found fully formed organs inside it like teeth, hair…

Humans can be then recreated from their coccyx that contains the primitive streak and node of the overall potential. ⁽²⁾

And so the coccyx can not get decayed:

Researchers found that foetus cells’ formation and organisation are exerted by the primitive streak and node and before their formation no cells’ differentiation could have taken place. One of the most famous researchers who proved this was the German scientist Hans Spemann.

After his experiments on the primitive streak and node he found that those organise the creation of the foetus and so he called them “The primary organiser”. He cut this part from one foetus and implanted it in another one in the primary embryonic stage (third and fourth week). This lead to the formation of a secondary foetus in the guest body due to the influence and organisation exerted by the surrounding guest’s cells on the implant.

The German scientist started his experiments on the amphibians by implanting the primary organiser in a second foetus, which led to the growth of a secondary embryo. The implantation of the cut primary organiser was in another foetus of the same age under the Epiblast layer and lead to the apparition of a secondary embryonic anlage.

In 1931, when Spemann crushed the primary organiser and implanted it again, the crushing did not affect the experiment as again, a secondary embryonic anlage grew.

In 1933, Spemann and other scientists conducted the same experiment but the primary organiser was boiled this time. A secondary embryonic anlage grew in spite of the boiling showing that the cells were not affected. In 1935, Spemann was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery of the Primary Organiser. ⁽³⁾

Dr Othman Al Djilani and Sheikh Abd Al Majid Azzandani did some experiments on the coccyx in Ramadan 1423 in Sheikh Abd Al Majid Azzandani’s house in Sanaa.

One of the two vertebras of 5 coccyx bones were burnt on stones using a gas gun for 10 minutes until their total combustion (the bones became red then black). They put the carbonised pieces in sterilised boxes and took them to the most famous analysis laboratory in Sanaa (Al Olaki laboratory). Dr al Olaki, the professor in histology and pathology in Sanaa University, analysed the pieces and found that the cells of the bone tissues of the coccyx were not affected and they survived the burning (only the muscles the fatty tissues and the bone marrow cells were burnt while the coccyx bone cells were not affected). ⁽⁴⁾

THE WORLD IN OUR BRAINS

When you look out of the window, you think that you see an image with your eyes, as this is the way that you have been taught to think. However, in reality this is not how it works, because you do not see the world with your eyes. You see the image created in your brains. This is not a prediction, nor a philosophical speculation, but the scientific truth.

This concept can be better understood when we realize how the visual system operates. The eye is responsible for transforming light into an electric signal by means of the cells in the retina. This electrical signal reaches the sight center in the brain. The signals create the vision you see when you look out of the window. In other words, the sights you see are created in your brain.

You see the image in your brain, not the view outside the window. For example, in the picture shown on the right hand side, the light reaches the eyes of the person from outside. This light passes to the small sight center located at the back of the brain after the cells in the eyes transform it into electrical signals. It is these electrical signals which form the picture in the brain. In reality when we open the brain, we wouldn't be able to see any image. However, some kind of consciousness in the mind receives electrical signals in the form of an image. The brain perceives electrical signals in the form of an image, yet it has no eye, eye cells, or retina. So, to whom does the consciousness in the brain belong?

The same question can be asked about the book you are reading now. The light coming to your eyes is converted into electrical signals and reaches your brain, where the view of the book is created. In other words, the book you are reading right now is not outside you, it is actually inside you, in the sight center in the back of your brain. Since you feel the hardness of the book with your hands, you might think that the book is outside you. However, this feeling of hardness also originates in the brain. The nerves on your fingertips transmit electrical information to the touch center in your brain. And when you touch the book, you feel the hardness and intensity of it, the slipperiness of the pages, the texture of the cover and the sharpness of the edge of the pages, all within your brain.

In reality however, you can never touch the real nature of the book. Even though you think that you're touching the book, it is your brain that perceives the tactile sensations. In addition, you do not even know if this book exists as a material thing outside of your brain. You merely interpret the image of the book within your brain. However, you should not be tricked by the fact that a writer wrote this book, the pages were designed by a computer and printed by a publisher. The things that will be explained in due course will show you that the people, computers and the publishers in every stages of the production of this book are only visions that appear in your brain, and you will never know whether or not they exist outside of your brain.

We can therefore conclude that everything we see, touch and hear merely exists in our brains. This is a scientific truth, proven with scientific evidence. The significant point is the answer to the question asked above, which this scientific truth has led us to ask;

Who is it that has no eye, but watches sights through a window in our brains and enjoys or becomes anxious from these sights? This will be explained in the following sites.

We acknowledge that all the individual features of the world are experienced through our sense organs. The information that reaches us through those organs is converted into electrical signals, and the individual parts of our brain analyze and process these signals. After this interpreting process takes place inside our brain, we will, for example, see a book, taste a strawberry, smell a flower, feel the texture of a silk fabric or hear leaves shaking in the wind.

We have been taught that we are touching the cloth outside of our body, reading a book that is 30 cm (1 ft) away from us, smelling the trees that are far away from us, or hearing the shaking of the leaves that are far above us. However, this is all in our imagination. All of these things are happening within our brains.

At this point we encounter another surprising fact; that there are, in fact, no colors, voices or visions within our brain. All that can be found in our brains are electrical signals. This is not a philosophical speculation. This is simply a scientific description of the functions of our perceptions. In her book Mapping The Mind, Rita Carter explains the way we perceive the world as follows:

Each one [of the sense organs] is intricately adapted to deal with its own type of stimulus: molecules, waves or vibrations. But the answer does not lie here, because despite their wonderful variety, each organ does essentially the same job: it translates its particular type of stimulus into electrical pulses. A pulse is a pulse is a pulse. It is not the colour red, or the first notes of Beethoven's Fifth-it is a bit of electrical energy. Indeed, rather than discriminating one type of sensory input from another, the sense organs actually make them more alike.

All sensory stimuli, then enter the brain in more or less undifferentiated form as a stream of electrical pulses created by neurons firing, domino-fashion, along a certain route. This is all that happens. There is no reverse transformer that at some stage turns this electrical activity back into light waves or molecules. What makes one stream into vision and another into smell depends, rather, on which neurons are stimulated.1

In other words, all of our feelings and perceptions about the world (smells, visions, tastes etc.) are comprised of the same material, that is, electrical signals. Moreover, our brain is what makes these signals meaningful for us, and interprets these signals as senses of smell, taste, vision, sound or touch. It is a stunning fact that the brain, which is made of wet meat, can know which electrical signal should be interpreted as smell and which one as vision, and can convert the same material into different senses and feelings.

Let us now consider our sense organs, and how each one perceives the world.

It's Not Our Eyes That See,
It Is Our Brain

Because of the indoctrination that we receive throughout our lives, we imagine that we see the whole world with our eyes. Eventually, we usually conclude that our eyes are the windows that open up to the world. However, science shows us that we do not see through our eyes. The millions of nerve cells inside the eyes are responsible for sending a message to the brain, as if down a cable, in order to make "seeing" happen. If we analyze the information we learned in high school, it becomes easier for us to understand the reality of vision.

The light reflecting off an object passes through the lens of the eye and causes an upside-down image on the retina at the back of the eyeball. After some chemical operations carried out by retinal rods and cones, this vision becomes an electrical impulse. This impulse is then sent through connections in the nervous system to the back of the brain. The brain converts this flow into a meaningful, three-dimensional vision.

For example, when you watch children playing in a park, you are not seeing the children and the park with your eyes, because the image of this view forms not before your eyes, but at the back of your brain.

Even though we have given a simple explanation, in reality the physiology of vision is an extraordinary operation. Without fail, light is converted into electrical signals, and, subsequently, these electrical signals reveal a colorful, shining, three-dimensional world. R. L. Gregory, in his book Eye and Brain: The Psychology of Seeing, acknowledges this significant fact, and explains this incredible structure:

Islam Defends Freedom of Thought

Islam is a religion which provides and guarantees freedom of ideas, thought and life. It has issued commands to prevent and forbid tension, disputes, slander and even negative thinking among people. In the same way that it is determinedly opposed to terrorism and all acts of violence, it has also forbidden even the slightest ideological pressure to be put on them:

There is no compulsion in religion. True guidance has become clearly distinct from error. (Qur'an, 2:256)

So remind them! You are only a reminder. You are not in control of them. (Qur'an, 88:21-22)

Forcing people to believe in a religion or to adopt its forms of belief is completely contrary to the essence and spirit of Islam. According to Islam, true faith is only possible with free will and freedom of conscience. Of course, Muslims can advise and encourage each other about the features of Qur'anic morality. All believers are charged with explaining Qur'anic morality to people in the nicest manner possible. They will explain the beauties of religion in the light of the verse, "Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair admonition..." (Qur'an, 16:125) , however, they must also bear in mind the verse, "You are not responsible for their guidance, but God guides whoever He wills." (Qur'an, 2:272)

No matter what another person's religion or belief may be, be they Jew, Christian, Buddhist or Hindu, Muslims are called on in the Qur'an to be tolerant, forgiving, and to act justly and humanely towards them.

They will never resort to compulsion, nor any kind of physical or psychological pressure. Neither will they use any worldly privilege to turn someone towards religion. When they receive a negative response to what they say, Muslims will reply along the lines of: "To you your religion, and to me, mine" (Qur'an, 109:6)

The world we live in contains societies with all kinds of beliefs: Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, deist and even pagan. Muslims living in such a world must be tolerant of all beliefs they come up against, no matter what they may be, and behave forgivingly, justly and humanely. This responsibility placed on believers is to invite people to the beauty of the religion of God by means of peace and tolerance. The decision whether or not to implement these truths, whether or not to believe, lies with the other party. Forcing that person to believe, or trying to impose anything on him, is a violation of Qur'anic morality. In fact, God issues a reminder to believers in the Qur'an:

If your Lord had willed, all the people on the earth would have believed. Do you think you can force people to be believers? (Qur'an, 10:99)

We know best what they say and you [O Muhammad] are not a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an whoever fears My warning. (Qur'an, 50:45)

A model of society in which people are forced to worship is completely contradictory to Islam. Belief and worship are only of any value when they are directed to God by the free will of the individual. If a system imposes belief and worship on people, then they will become religious out of fear of that system. From the religious point of view, what really counts is that religion should be lived for God's good pleasure in an environment where peoples' consciences are totally free.

In 1492, the Jews who refused to convert were exiled from Spain by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella (above). The Jews were accepted by the Ottoman Empire, a haven of Islamic justice and tolerance.

The history of Islam is full of the tolerant practices of Muslim rulers who have respected all religions and built religious freedom with their own hands. For example, Thomas Arnold, a British missionary employed in the service of the Indian government, describes that Islam favours freedom in these words:

But of any organised attempt to force the acceptance of Islam on the non-Muslim population, or of any systematic persecution intended to stamp out the Christian religion, we hear nothing. Had the caliphs chosen to adopt either course of action, they might have swept away Christianity as easily as Ferdinand and Isabella drove Islam out of Spain, or Louis XIV made Protestantism penal in France, or the Jews were kept out of England for 350 years. The Eastern Churches in Asia were entirely cut off from communion with the rest of Christendom, throughout which no one would have been found to lift a finger on their behalf, as heretical communions. So that the very survival of these Churches to the present day is a strong proof of the generally tolerant attitude of the Muhammadan governments towards them. 1

God Forbids the Murder of Innocent People

Killing a person for no reason is one of the greatest sins related in the Qur'an:

... if someone kills another person - unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth - it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind. Our Messengers came to them with Clear Signs, but even after that many of them committed outrages in the earth. (Qur'an, 5:32)

..those who do not call on any other deity together with God and do not kill anyone God has made inviolate, except with the right to do so, and do not fornicate; anyone who does that will receive an evil punishment. (Qur'an, 25:68)

As the verse suggests, a person who kills innocent people for no reason is threatened with a great torment. God informs us that killing even a single person is as evil as murdering all mankind on earth. A person who observes God's limits can do no harm to a single human, let alone massacre thousands of innocent people. Those who assume that they can avoid justice and thus punishment in this world will never succeed, for they will have to give an account of their deeds in the presence of God. That is why believers, who know that they will give an account of their deeds after death, are very meticulous to observe God's limits.

God Commands the Faithful to be Compassionate and Merciful

Islamic morality is described in one verse as:

Then to be one of those who have faith and urge each other to steadfastness and urge each other to compassion. Those are the Companions of the Right. (Qur'an, 90:17-18)

As we have seen in this verse, one of the most important features of the morality that will lead believers to salvation on the Day of Judgement and to enter into paradise is "being one of those who urges each other to compassion".

Islamic Morality Envisions a Life Filled With Peace,
Well-being, Love and Joy For All People...

The true source of compassion is love of God. A person's love of God gives rise to his feeling love for the things He has created. Someone who loves God feels a direct link and closeness to the things He has created. This strong love and closeness he feels for the Lord, who created him and all mankind, leads him to display a pleasing morality, as commanded in the Qur'an. True compassion emerges as he lives by this morality. This model of morality, full of love, compassion and sacrifice, is described in these verses:

Those of you possessing affluence and ample wealth should not make oaths that they will not give to their relatives and the very poor and those who have made emigration in the way of God. They should rather pardon and overlook. Would you not love God to forgive you? God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Qur'an, 24:22)

Those who were already settled in the abode and in faith before they came, love those who have migrated to them and do not find in their hearts any need for what they have been given and prefer them to themselves even if they themselves are needy. It is the people who are safe-guarded from the avarice of their own selves who are successful. (Qur'an, 59:9)

... those who have given refuge and help, they are the true believers. They will have forgiveness and generous provision. (Qur'an, 8:74)

Be good to your parents and relatives and to orphans and the very poor, and to neighbours who are related to you and neighbours who are not related to you, and to companions and travellers and your slaves. God does not love anyone vain or boastful. (Qur'an, 4:36)

Charity (zakat) is for: the poor, the destitute, those who collect it, reconciling people's hearts, freeing slaves, those in debt, spending in the Way of God, and travellers. It is a legal obligation from God. God is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Qur'an, 9:60)

…While terrorism longs for a society where violence, fear, anxiety and chaos reign.

This high level of morality that is demanded from believers, described in the Qur'an, stems from their deep love of God. Thanks to their devotion to Him, they scrupulously abide by the morality revealed by Him in the Qur'an. Believers never try to make people feel indebted because of the compassion they demonstrate and the help they offer people, and do not even expect to be thanked. Their true aim is to try to gain God's good pleasure by means of the morality they exhibit, because they know that they will be called to account for that morality on the Day of Judgement. In the Qur'an, God has expressly revealed that hell will be the outcome for those who knowingly refuse to live by the morality of the Qur'an:

"What has brought you into hell-fire?" They will say, "We were not among those who prayed and we did not feed the poor." (Qur'an, 74:42-44)

Seize him and bind him, and then expose him to hell-fire, then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long! For he did not believe in God Almighty, nor did he urge the feeding of the poor. (Qur'an, 69:30-34)

Have you seen him who denies the religion? He is the one who harshly rebuffs the orphan and does not urge the feeding of the poor. (Qur'an, 107:1-3)

...nor do you urge the feeding of the poor (Qur'an, 89:18)

Islamic morality commands Muslims to protect the rights of orphans and those in poverty and need, to mutually support one another, and to be well-disposed towards one another.

As we have seen in these verses, the Muslim described in the Qur'an possesses a most loving and compassionate nature. Nobody who possesses this morality can of course consent to terrorism or acts of violence directed at innocent people. Terrorists' characters are the exact opposite of Qur'anic morality. A terrorist is a ruthless person who looks with hatred on the world, and wants to kill, destroy and shed blood.

A Muslim raised in the morality as revealed by the Qur'an, however, approaches everyone with the love expected by Islam, respects ideas of all kinds, always tries to bring harmony where there is discord, lower tensions, embrace all sides and behave with moderation. Societies consisting of people like this will be ruled by a more developed civilisation, and enjoy greater social morality, harmony, justice and plenty than can be seen in even the most modern nations today.

God has Commanded Forgiveness and Tolerance

The concept of forgiveness and tolerance, described in the words, "Make allowances for people" (Qur'an, 7:199) is one of the most fundamental tenets of Islam.

When we look at the history of Islam, the way that Muslims have translated this important feature of Qur'anic morality into the life of society can be seen quite clearly. As we shall be considering in later parts of the book, Muslims have always brought with them an atmosphere of freedom and tolerance wherever they have gone. They have enabled people whose religions, languages and cultures are completely different from one another to live together in peace and harmony under one roof, and provided peace and harmony for its own members. One of the most important reasons for the centuries-long existence of the Ottoman Empire, which spread over an enormous region, was the atmosphere of tolerance and understanding that Islam brought with it. Muslims, who have been known for their tolerant and loving natures for centuries, have always been the most compassionate and just of people. Within this multi-national structure, all ethnic groups have been free to live according to their own religions, and their own rules.

In societies where Islamic morality is followed, churches, mosques and synagogues co-exist peacefully. This view of three sanctuaries in an institution for the homeless shows the tolerance, justice and striving for peace inculcated by the teaching of Islamic morality.

True tolerance can only bring peace and well-being to the world when implemented along the lines set out in the Qur'an. Attention is drawn to this fact in a verse which reads: "A good action and a bad action are not the same. Repel the bad with something better and, if there is enmity between you and someone else, he will be like a bosom friend." (Qur'an, 41:34)

In the verses of the Qur'an, God has always described forgiveness as a superior quality, and in one verse, He has given the good news that such behaviour will be rewarded: "The repayment of a bad action is one equivalent to it. But if someone pardons and puts things right, his reward is with God. Certainly He does not love wrongdoers." (Qur'an, 42:40) In another verse, He has described believers as: "those who give in times of both ease and hardship, those who control their rage and pardon other people - God loves the good-doers" (Qur'an, 3:134) God has revealed in the Qur'an that it is virtuous behaviour to forgive someone even if he has done wrong. One verse on the subject reads:

... You will never cease to come upon some act of treachery on their part, except for a few of them. Yet pardon them, and overlook. God loves good-doers. (Qur'an, 5:13)

All of this shows that the morality that Islam recommends to mankind brings to the world the virtues of peace, harmony and justice. The barbarism known as terrorism, that is so preoccupying the world at present, is the work of ignorant and fanatical people, completely estranged from Qur'anic morality, and who have absolutely nothing to do with religion. The solution to these people and groups who try to carry out their savagery under the mask of religion is the teaching of true Qur'anic morality. In other words, Islam and Qur'anic morality are solutions to the scourge of terrorism, not supporters of it.

The Responsibility of Believers

Those who have no concern for events unless they directly affect them are bereft of the insight that espouses unselfishness, brotherhood, friendship, honesty and the service that religion bestows upon people. Throughout their lives, such people try to satisfy their own egos by merely wasting their means, totally unaware of the threats humanity faces. In the Qur'an however, God praises the morals of those who strive to bring good to their surroundings; those who are concerned about the events that take place around them and who call people to the right way. In a verse from the Qur'an, a metaphor is given for those who offer no good to others and those who always act on the path of goodness:

God makes another metaphor: two men, one of them deaf and dumb, unable to do anything, a burden on his master, no matter where he directs him he brings no good, is he the same as someone who commands justice and is on a straight path? (Qur'an, 16:76)

As the verse points out, it is obvious that those who are "on a straight path", are those who are devoted to their religion; fear and heed God, hold spiritual values in high regard, and are filled with eagerness to serve people. In general, such people are there to serve humanity and bring with them great benefits to mankind. For this reason, it is very important for people to learn about the true religion and live by the morals explained by the Qur'an - the final Revelation from God. In the Qur'an, God defines those people who live by such high morals:

Those who, if We establish them firmly on the earth, will keep up prayer and pay the welfare due, and command what is right and forbid what is wrong. The end result of all affairs is with God. (Qur'an, 22:41)

God Commands Us to Do Good Deeds

A Muslim is someone who abides by the commands of God, tries scrupulously to live by Qur'anic morality, peace and harmony, which make the world a more beautiful place and lead it to progress. His aim is to lead people to beauty, goodness and well-being. The Qur'an says:

Those who threaten the lives of civilians, and especially those of children, must ask themselves: What crime did these children commit? Is committing cruel acts against innocent people something that will go unaccounted for in the presence of God?

... And do good as God has been good to you. And do not seek to cause corruption in the earth. God does not love corrupters. (Qur'an, 28:77)

Someone who adopts the Islamic faith wishes to earn God's pleasure and compassion and to enter heaven. He has to make strenuous efforts to do this, and to adopt a morality acceptable to God while he is in this world. The clearest manifestations of this morality are compassion, pity, justice, honesty, forgiveness, humility, sacrifice and patience. The believer will behave well towards people, try to perform good deeds and spread goodness. In His verses, God commands:

We did not create the heavens and earth and everything between them, except with truth. The Hour is certainly coming, so forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance. (Qur'an, 15:85)

... Be good to your parents and relatives and to orphans and the very poor, and to neighbours who are related to you and neighbours who are not related to you, and to companions and travellers and your slaves. God does not love anyone vain or boastful. (Qur'an, 4:36)

... Help one another in benevolence and piety. Do not help each other to wrongdoing and enmity. And fear God. God is severe in retribution. (Qur'an, 5:2)

As the verses have made clear, God wishes those who believe in Him to behave well towards people, to cooperate with each other when it comes to goodness, and to avoid wickedness.

In the moral teachings of Islam, the most important qualities are love, compassion, mutual support, self-sacrifice, tolerance and forgiveness. In a society where this morality is lived as it should be, it is impossible to find the foundations of violence and conflict.

In Sura Anam,verse 160, God promises that "anyone who comes with a fine deed will have ten more like it. But those who produce a bad action will only be repaid with its equivalent and they will not be wronged."

In His book, God describes Himself as He who knows "the secrets of men's hearts", and warns people to "avoid all kinds of evil." A Muslim therefore, which means "one who surrenders himself to God" must evidently be someone who does his best to fight terrorism.

A Muslim does not remain indifferent to what goes on around him, and never adopts the mentality that nothing matters as long as it does not harm him. That is because he has surrendered himself to God. He is His representative, and an ambassador of good. He cannot, therefore, remain indifferent in the face of cruelty and terrorism. In fact, the Muslim is the greatest enemy of terrorism, which kills people who have done no wrong. Islam is against all forms of terrorism, and tries to prevent it right from the beginning, in other words
on the level of ideas. It demands peace between people and for justice to prevail, and commands people to avoid discord, conflict and wickedness.

God Commands Us to Be Just

The true justice described in the Qur'an commands man to behave justly, making no discrimination between people, to protect peoples' rights, not to permit violence no matter what the circumstances, to side with the oppressed against the oppressor and to help the needy. This justice calls for the rights of both parties to be protected when reaching a decision in a dispute, assessing all aspects of an incident, setting aside all prejudices, being objective, honest, tolerant, merciful and compassionate. For instance, someone who cannot assess events in a moderate way, and who is swayed by his emotions and feelings, will fail to arrive at sound decisions and will remain under the influence of those feelings. However, someone who rules with justice needs to set all his personal feelings and views aside. He needs to treat all parties with justice when they ask for help, to side with what is right under all circumstances, and not to diverge from the path of honesty and truthfulness. A person should incorporate the values of the Qur'an into his soul in such a way that he may be able to consider other parties' interests before his own and maintain justice, even if this harms his own interests.

God commands the following in Sura Ma'ida, verse 42: "... if you do judge, judge between them justly." In Sura Nisa, God commands believers to act justly even it is against themselves:

O You who believe! Be upholders of justice, bearing witness for God alone, even against yourselves or your parents and relatives. Whether they are rich or poor, God is well able to look after them. Do not follow your own desires and deviate from the truth. If you twist or turn away, God is aware of what you do. (Qur'an, 4:135)

In the Qur'an, God gives a detailed description of justice and informs believers of the attitude they have to adopt in the face of incidents they encounter and of the ways to exercise justice. Such guidance is a great comfort to believers and a mercy from God. For this reason, those who believe are responsible for exercising justice in an undivided manner both to earn God's approval and to lead their lives in peace and security.

The justice God commands in the Qur'an is the justice that is exercised equally among all people, with no consideration of language, race, or ethnicity. The justice in the Qur'anic sense does not vary according to place, time and people. In our day, too, there are people being subjected to cruel and unjust treatment because of the colour of their skin or their race in all corners of the world.

However, God informs us in the Qur'an that the purpose in the creation of different tribes and peoples is "that they should come to know each other". Different nations or peoples, all of whom are the servants of God, should get to know one another, that is, learn about their different cultures, languages, traditions and abilities. In brief, the purpose of the creation of different races and nations is not conflict and war but cultural richness. Such variation is a bounty of God's creation. The fact that someone is taller than someone else or that his skin is yellow or white neither makes him superior to others nor is it something to feel ashamed of. Every trait a person has is a result of God's purposeful creation, but in the sight of God, these variations have no ultimate importance. A believer knows that someone attains superiority only by having fear of God and in the strength of his faith in God. This fact is related in the following verse:

O Mankind! We created you from a male and female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you might come to know each other. The noblest among you in God's sight is that one of you who best performs his duty. God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (Qur'an, 49:13)

As God informs us in the verse, the understanding of justice recommended by Him calls for equal, tolerant and peaceable treatment of everyone, with no discrimination between them.

Hatred Felt Towards a Community Does Not Prevent Believers From Exercising Justice

Hatred and anger are the major sources of evil, and are likely to prevent people from making just decisions, thinking soundly and conducting themselves rationally. People can readily inflict all kinds of injustice on people for whom they feel enmity. They may accuse these people of acts they have never committed, or bear false witness against them although their innocence is known to them. On account of such enmity, people may be subjected to unbearable oppression. Some people avoid bearing witness in favour of people they disagree with, although they know they are innocent, and they keep evidence which would reveal their innocence hidden. Furthermore, they take pleasure in the misery these people face, their encounters with injustice or great suffering. Their greatest worry, on the other hand, is that justice should be done and these peoples' innocence proved.

For these reasons, it is very hard for people in corrupt societies to trust one another. People worry that they can fall victim to someone else at any time. Having lost mutual trust, they also lose their human feelings such as tolerance, compassion, brotherhood and co-operation, and start hating one another.

However, the feelings someone holds in his heart towards a person or community should never influence a believer's decisions. No matter how immoral or hostile the person he is considering may be, the believer sets all these feelings aside and acts and makes his decisions justly and recommends that which is just. His feelings towards that person cast no shadow over his wisdom and conscience. His conscience always inspires him to comply with God's commands and advice, and never to abandon good manners, because this is a command God gives in the Qur'an. In Sura Ma'ida, it is related as follows:

O You who believe! Show integrity for the sake of God, bearing witness with justice. Do not let hatred for a people incite you into not being just. Be just. That is closer to faith. Heed God (alone). God is aware of what you do. (Qur'an, 5:8)

If your Lord had willed, all the people on the earth would have believed. Do you think you can
force people to be believers?
(Qur'an, 10:99)

As is related in the verse, displaying a just attitude is what most complies with having fear of God. A person of faith knows that he will attain the pleasure of God only when he acts justly. Every person who witnesses his or her good manners will trust this person, feel comfortable in their presence and trust them with any responsibility or task. Such people are treated with respect even by their enemies. Their attitude may even lead some people to have faith in God.

As Muslims, we strongly condemn the terrorist attacks on two major cities of the United States of America on September 11, 2001, which caused the death and injury of thousands of innocent people, and we offer our condolences to the American nation. These attacks propelled the important issue of the true source of terrorism to the top of the world agenda. Thus, it has been announced to the entire world that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance that summons individuals to compassion and justice. Many world leaders, leading media organisations, television and radio stations said that true Islam forbids violence, and encourages peace between people and between nations. The Western circles that have come to a full grasp of the religion of Islam and are well-informed about Islam as commanded by God in the Qur'an noted clearly that the words "Islam" and "terror" cannot stand side by side, and that no divine religion permits violence.

This book maintains that the source of the terror that we condemn is definitely not from a divine religion, and that there is no room for terrorism in Islam. This is made clear in the Qur'an, the main source of Islam, and in the practices of all true Muslim rulers, the Prophet Muhammad being the foremost of them. This book reveals, in the light of the verses of the Qur'an and with examples from history, that Islam forbids terrorism and aims to bring peace and security to the world.

As is known, for centuries, various acts of terrorism have been carried out in different parts of the world by different groups for a variety of purposes. Sometimes a communist organisation, sometimes a fascist group, and sometimes radical and separatist factions assume responsibility for these acts. While countries like America often became the target of attacks by racist and marginal terrorist groups, the European countries have been centre stage for violent acts carried out by terrorist groups. 17 November in Greece, RAF (Red Army Faction) and Neo-Nazis in Germany, ETA in Spain, Red Brigades in Italy and many other organisations seek to make their voices heard through terror and violence by killing innocent and defenceless people. The nature of terrorism changes with changing world conditions and increases its impact and power with the new means made possible by developing technology. In particular, mass communication tools such as the Internet extend the scope and influence of the terrorist activities considerably.

If one is looking for the cause of an act of terrorism, one must look for its source in anti-religious ideologies. Religion enjoins love, compassion, forgiveness, peace and living according to high moral standards. Terrorism, on the other hand, is on the side of cruelty and violence, causing pain, bloodshed and committing murder.

Besides the Western organisations, there are also other terror organisations of Middle East origin. Terrorist attacks are carried out by these groups in all corners of the world. Sadly, the fact that the perpetrators of various terrorist acts carry Christian, Muslim or Jewish identities cause some people to put forward claims which do not concur with divine religions. The truth is that even if terrorists have Muslim identities, the terror they perpetrate cannot be labelled "Islamic terror", just as it could not be called "Jewish terror" if the perpetrators were Jews or "Christian terror" if they were Christians. That is because, as will be examined in the following pages, murdering innocent people in the name of a divine religion is unacceptable. We need to keep in mind that, among those who were killed in New York and Washington, there were people who loved the Prophet Jesus (Christians), the Prophet Moses (Jews) and the Prophet Muhammad (Muslims). Unless forgiven by God, murdering innocent people is a great sin that leads to torment in Hell. No one who is religious and fears God would do such a thing.

The aggressors can commit such violence only with the intention of attacking religion itself. It may well be that those who carried out this violence did so to present religion as evil in the eyes of people, to divorce people from religion and to generate hatred towards those who are religiously inclined. Consequently, every attack on American citizens or other innocent people having a religious facade is actually an attack made against religion.

Religion commands love, mercy and peace. Terror, on the other hand, is the opposite of religion; it is cruel, merciless and demands bloodshed and misery. This being the case, the origins of a terrorist act should be sought in disbelief rather than in religion. People with a fascist, communist, racist or materialist outlook on life should be suspected as potential perpetrators. The name or the identity of the triggerman is not important. If he can kill innocent people without blinking an eye, then he is a nonbeliever, not a believer. He is a murderer with no fear of God, whose main ambition is to shed blood and to cause harm. For this reason, "Islamic terror" is an erroneous concept which contradicts the message of Islam. The religion of Islam can by no means countenance terrorism. On the contrary, terror (i.e. murder of innocent people) in Islam is a great sin, and Muslims are responsible for preventing these acts and bringing peace and justice to the world.

Islamic Morality: The Source of Peace and Security

Eat and drink of God's provision and do not go about the earth corrupting it. (Qur'an, 2:60)

Some of those who say that something is done in the name of religion may, in fact, misunderstand that religion and as a result, practice it wrongly. For that reason, it would be wrong to form ideas about that religion by taking these people as an example. The best way of understanding a religion is to study its divine source.

Islam's divine source is the Qur'an, which is based on concepts of morality, love, compassion, humility, sacrifice, tolerance and peace. A Muslim who lives by those precepts in its true sense will be most polite, careful of thought, modest, just, trustworthy and easy to get on with. He will spread love, respect, harmony and the joy of living all around him.

Islam is the Religion of Peace

Terror, in its broadest sense, is violence committed against non-military targets for political purposes. To put it another way, targets of terror are entirely innocent civilians whose only crime, in the eyes of terrorists, is to represent "the other side".

A society in which Islamic moral values are truly honoured is a society characterised by peace, forgiveness, love, compassion and mutual support and joy.

For this reason, terror means subjecting innocent people to violence, which is an act bereft of any moral justification. This, as in the case of murders committed by Hitler or Stalin, is a crime committed against mankind.

The Qur'an is a Book revealed to people as a guide to the true path and in this Book, God commands man to adopt good morals. This morality is based upon concepts such as love, compassion, tolerance and mercy. The word "Islam" is derived from the word meaning "peace" in Arabic. Islam is a religion revealed to mankind with the intention of presenting a peaceful life through which the infinite compassion and mercy of God manifest on earth. God calls all people to Islamic morals through which compassion, mercy, peace and tolerance can be experienced all over the world. In Sura Baqara, verse 208, God addresses
believers as follows:

O You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of Satan. He is an outright enemy to you.

As the verse makes clear, security can only be ensured by "entering into Islam", that is, living by the values of the Qur'an. The values of the Qur'an hold a Muslim responsible for treating all people, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, kindly and justly, protecting the needy and the innocent and "preventing the dissemination of mischief". Mischief comprises all forms of anarchy and terror that remove security, comfort and peace. As God says in a verse, "God does not love corruption". (Qur'an, 2:205)

Murdering a person for no reason is one of the most obvious examples of mischief. God repeats in the Qur'an a command He formerly revealed to Jews in the Old Testament thus:

...if someone kills another person - unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth - it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind... (Qur'an, 5:32)

As the verse suggests, a person who kills even a single man, "unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth", commits a crime as if he had murdered all mankind.

In Sura Ma'ida, verse 32, God says that if anyone kills someone unjustly, it is as if he had murdered all mankind. To murder even one person is totally opposed to the moral teaching of the Qur'an.

This being the case, it is obvious what great sins are the murders, massacres and attacks, popularly known as "suicide attacks", committed by terrorists. God informs us how this cruel face of terrorism will be punished in the hereafter in the following verse:

There are only grounds against those who wrong people and act as tyrants in the earth without any right to do so. Such people will have a painful punishment. (Qur'an, 42:42)

All these reveal that organising acts of terror against innocent people is utterly against Islam and it is unlikely that any Muslim could ever commit such crimes. On the contrary, Muslims are responsible for stopping these people, removing "mischief on earth" and bringing peace and security to all people all over the world. Islam cannot be reconciled with terror. Just the contrary, it should be the solution to and the path to the prevention of terror.

God has Condemned Wickedness

God has commanded people to avoid committing evil: oppression, cruelty, murder and bloodshed are all forbidden. He describes those who fail to obey this command as "following in Satan's footsteps" and adopting a posture that is openly revealed to be sinful in the Qur'an. A few of the many verses on this matter in the Qur'an read:

But as for those who break God's contract after it has been agreed and sever what God has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the earth, the curse will be upon them. They will have the Evil Abode. (Qur'an, 13:25)

Eat and drink of God's provision and do not go about the earth corrupting it. (Qur'an, 2:60)

Do not corrupt the earth after it has been put right. Call on Him fearfully and eagerly. God's mercy is close to the good-doers. (Qur'an, 7:56)

Those who think that they will be successful by causing wickedness, upheaval and oppression, and by killing innocent people are committing a great error. God has forbidden all acts of wickedness involving terrorism and violence, condemned those who engage in such acts and said "God does not uphold the works of those who cause mischief." in one of His verses. (Qur'an, 10:81)

In the present age, however, acts of terrorism, genocide and massacres occur all over the world. Innocent people are being savagely killed, and countries where communities are being brought to hate each other for artificial reasons are drowning in blood. These horrors in countries with different histories, cultures and social structures may have causes and sources peculiar to each. However, it is evident that the fundamental cause is a moving away from morality based on love, respect and tolerance that religion brings with it. As a result of lack of religion, communities emerge that have no fear of God and believe that they will not be called to account in the hereafter. Since they believe that, "I will not have to account for my actions to anyone," they can easily act with no compassion, morality or conscience.

The existence of hypocrites who emerge in the name of God and religion, but actually organise themselves to commit wickedness condemned by God, is indicated in the Qur'an. One verse talks about a gang of nine men who planned to murder the Prophet by swearing in the name of God:

There was a gang of nine men in the city causing corruption in the land and not putting things right. They said, "Let us make an oath to one another by God that we will fall on him and his family in the night and then say to his protector, We did not witness the destruction of his family and we are telling the truth." They hatched a plot and We hatched a plot while they were not aware. (Qur'an, 27:48-50)

As this incident described in the Qur'an reveals, the fact that people do things "in the name of God" or even swear in His name, in other words that they use the kind of language designed to show themselves as very religious, does not mean that what they do is in conformity with religion. On the contrary, what they do can be quite against the will of God and the morality of religion. The truth of the matter lies in their actions. If their actions are "causing corruption and not putting things right", as the verse reveals, then you can be sure that these people cannot be truly religious, and that their aim is not to serve religion.

It is quite impossible for someone who fears God and has grasped the true morality of Islam to support violence or wickedness, or to take part in such actions. That is why Islam is the true solution to terrorism. When the sublime morality of the Qur'an is explained, it will be impossible for people to connect true Islam with those who support or join groups that aim at hatred, war and chaos. That is because God has forbidden wickedness:

Whenever he holds the upperhand, he goes about the earth corrupting it, destroying (people's) crops and breeding stock. God does not love corruption. When he is told to have fear of God, he is seized by pride which drives him to wrongdoing. Hell will be enough for him! What an evil resting-place. (Qur'an, 2:205-206)

As can be seen from the above verses, it is out of the question for someone who fears God to turn a blind eye to even the smallest action that might harm mankind. Someone who does not believe in God and the hereafter, however, can easily do all kinds of evil, since he thinks he will not have to account to anyone.

The first thing that needs to be done to rid the world of the present-day scourge of terrorism is to use education to do away with deviant irreligious beliefs that are put forward in the name of religion, and to teach people true Qur'anic morality and to fear God.
