Seikoku no Dragonar : First Impression

2014-04-11T02:04:00.000-07:00

Well the anime certainly gives the Zero no tsukaima feeling, only the opposite is the pet dragon(who also the heroine) is suppose to be the partner not the master of the protagonist. anyway the story is all about dragon and magic(if wanna add machine which is not out on the anime),
that learning to ride and tame dragons comes easy to most students at Ansarivan Dragonar Academy(a school for dragon breeder). Except for first-year student Ash Blake(the protagonist), whose not only known by his classmates as the “number one problem child.”He is known also for "the man that can ride any dragon"(for dragon can only be ridden by his/her human master). Poor Ash is the laughing stock at school because, despite his unfashionably large star-shaped brand that marks him as a future dragon master, he has nothing to show for it. His dragon has never appeared. Until now, that is. One fateful day, Ash'sdragon awakes in full glory, but appears different than any dragon ever seen before—in the form of a beautiful girl! What's worse, Ash soon discovers that this new dragon has attitude to spare, as she promptly informs him that she is the master, and he, the servant(Which is very beginning the Zero no tsukaima feeling XD). Anyhow the first episode was a cliff hanger, the next episode will surely give the tsundere attitude(hopely as tsundere as LouiseXD).

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei : Great Expectation

2014-04-10T01:19:00.000-07:00

A very popular popular sci-fi, fantasy light novel that been a talk of most manga fan's(since i just read the manga only XD) and It got anime in the very satisfaction for first impression, like WOW, Amazing!!! kinda sort of stuff. well let's go for the summary of the plot,
The series is set in a world where magic exists and has been utilized as a technology for nearly a century. Rather than casting spells with chants or other traditional forms of spellcasting, mages use a Casting Assistant Device, better known as a CAD. Mages infuse the CAD with psions or thought particles (a substance-less particle and psychic phenomenon) while the CAD itself provides an activation sequence, which is then used to construct a magic ritual in order to invoke the magic. This magic ritual targets the Idea, the platform on which Eidos are recorded. Eidos refers to a form of information that is attached to a phenomenon. Modern magic uses false signals to manipulate the Eidos of a target, which in turn modifies the phenomenon and causes physical changes in the real world. In 2095, Tatsuya Shiba and his sister Miyuki Shiba are new students enrolling at the Private Magic University Affiliated High School (First High School). Students are ranked according to their test scores: students with the best grades are designated "Bloom" and enrolled in the Course 1 curriculum, while those with poor scores are designated "Weed" and enrolled in Course 2. Miyuki topped the entrance exams and is selected to be the first years' representative, while Tatsuya is placed in Course 2 due to his low practical test score, despite scoring the highest in the written portion of the exams.
The anime really got a Oreimo feeling, not only because the voice actor are Ayase (Miyuki Shiba) and Kyousuke (Tatsuya Shiba), but the brother and sister romance. which is much better than my first impression of Oreimo(Kirino was really a bitch in Season1). The action never seem to disappointing, battling hand to hand, Modern magic attacks and the best part is there no need incantation to use spell XD(except you are really good at computer or math which make CAD very useful). Anyway it seem it this will be the next anime crazed this year XD.

Life is a Game

2014-04-09T00:08:00.000-07:00

This year I spend so much playing games and found some manga or anime that are game related. So after reading and watching some of them, I figure life is a game(and its cruel T_T). Now here a manga close to this topic "The Gamer Manhwa".

Like some Korean manga, there are Webtoon Comic. which some are not that good, but "The Gamer" is something else. The protagonist Han Jee-Han, a normal high school student, suddenly develops a special power where his entire world is shifted into a game-like setting. He can see the power levels of people, look at the stats of a seemingly normal item, get abilities, and even level up! "The Gamer", which is Han Jee-Han ability and title, shows that a lot of people can have a certain skill or talent by training it or grinding like the protagonist doing most of the chapters. In real life its the same thing how you play an RPG. by practicing how to draw, to run faster, sports and etc. By training, someday you'll by better a something in this world. Well of course all training and practice are needed time, so we can't learn them all and be good at something weren't not good at. This is why some people view "Reality is a shitty game". Its not a good game, but we have a good run with it ^_^.

Onepunch-man : Great to become Anime

2013-10-13T00:56:00.001-07:00

A manga that belongs to the author name"ONE" that is serious becomes a hit even so just a messy doodle, the story and non sense joke give a good punch. When first saw this, it was remake by Yūsuke Murata, the author of Eye Shield 21.The collaboration of Murata and ONE turn Onepunch-man into an awesome manga.
For the reason that this would become a great anime, because most of the pages in some chapter to show a motion of many pages just to a single action like the battle between Saitama and the Sea King.

Well I'll be expecting soon that this will come out on anime ^_^

Aoki Hagane No Arpeggio: Ars Nova (First Impression)

2013-10-11T01:05:00.000-07:00

The First word came in my mind was The Movie "Battleship" when i first saw it on anime. Then check out the manga and found out that the drawing is a bit Chaotic which my imagination can't grasp. So the full Digital Animation was a right choice to make out most of the detail drawing in the manga superb! Well for Sailing the high sea is a man's duty but Ship will always by a "She" . Therefore make all Battleship are women Lol.

Plot:

By 2039, global warming had caused sea levels to rise and large amount of territory to be lost. As though in response, a mysterious group of warships clad in mist, “the Fleet of Fog,” appeared in every corner of the ocean, and began attacking human ships. In spite of humanity mustering all their strength, they were utterly defeated by the Fog's overwhelming force. All of humanity's trade routes were blockaded by the Fleet of Fog, their political economy was destroyed, and the human race was steadily beaten down. Seven years later, the Fleet of Fog's submarine I-401 appears before cadet "Gunzo Chihaya". The humanoid life form that pilots the sub Iona, who should be their enemy, is instead offering her services to mankind.

The Next Visual Reality Anime

2013-10-10T01:07:00.001-07:00

Log Horizon is like a Dot Hack or S.A.O like story, but the different from this anime is that it didn't have a VR(Visual Reality) Gear or whatsoever, just a normal PC device. The thirty thousand Japanese gamers of Elder Tale (WOW or Perfect World like online game) have been waiting of their latest expansion pack "Novasphere Pioneers" and log in, just simply got transported to the game that have the same shape of Japan.
The players, well shock and panicking from experiencing their new reality which is the mystery how and why their inside the game? Unlike S.A.O where death is determine, Death in Elder Tale seem nothing since they still revive, the all four senses seem working well in the game except the sense of taste which any food they eat is tasteless (Talk about a force Diet plan). The Protagonist Shiroe, whose have a mage type avatar and a veteran player of Elder Tale that seem got a hang on the situation and meet with some party member to test the new expansion pack and find out the exit to the Real World. The First impression of this anime seem great on comedy and action, since it have a good opening that is like Dot hack game were you need to click your skill to able to use it, but later on at nearing the end of episode one, it went S.A.O Skill were you just need to move in order to use the skill. It seem the story will get better on the next episode where he establish his own guild maybe ^_^.

"TEAMWORK"

Magi : The Labyrinth of Magic Review

2013-10-09T23:03:00.000-07:00

This anime is allusion to the tales of the One Thousand and One Nights which includes the famous tales of Aladdin, Alibaba, and Sinbad in one story about magical labyrinths that appear everywhere in the world. Each labyrinth contains different monsters, treasures, and a Djinn that lay waiting for its rightful master who has a potential to be "KING". However their is more a mysterious secret that revolves around the people who made this labyrinths and their power is far greater than any magician their called "Magi".
Aladdin whose a magi with unknown origin travel with his friend Ugo, a Djinn and meet Alibaba who happen to be a Ex prince and needed money to change his way of life. This two people venture through labyrinth and a cross land and sea just to find new and old friends, treasure, and Enemies. The first season of the anime was really good which i thought will reach more than 25 Episode but sad part of it that one of favorite character "Ugo" won't be coming back in both manga and anime which make Aladdin weaker than any magi. However Sinbad rocks both in Action or Comedy for he's not only a sailor but a King of the Seven Sea (or Lady killer of Seven Sea for women victims of him Lol.) Alibaba and Morgianna seem to be a good love team in this anime (Only I see Morgianna being the top and Alibaba as the under yaha!!). This Second season call "Magi: The Kingdom of Magic" which tells they won't be going to any labyrinth any more as Aladdin, Alibaba, Morgianna and the prince "Hakuryuu Ren" will embark their separate Adventure to be come more powerful for the coming battle against Al-Thamen and its leader happen to be one of the three magi that serve and betray King Solomon, and mother of Hakuryuu Ren. The first episode have a great opening were Aladdin show his new awesome powers.

Aladdin, The ALMIGHTY MAGI

Well since its still the first episode this reason. I'll wait for the other episode specially at the part when Aladdin try so hard to get into Magnostadt huhuhu can't wait to see that ^_^.

Demon Lord at Work!

2013-06-24T17:38:00.003-07:00

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! (Hataraku Maō-sama)

In the classic tradition of Hero versus Demon Lord, this anime brings us closer to home with the premise, what would a Demon Lord do if he came to present day earth and lost all his powers.

Plot:
Demon Lord Satan is the supreme ruler of Ente Isla, but a rebellion Led by the Hero Emilia(who is actually a heroine), forces the Satan to use his remaining power and flee to another dimension. Together with his Faithful general Alciel, they arrive in modern day Japan, a world of advanced technology where magic does not exist. Determined to regain his powers and still survive the harsh new world, Satan and his companion obtain new identities, an apartment, and a part-time job at a fast food restaurant. All for the single goal of returning to back to power.

The series shows mundane daily activities of a supposedly evil overlord and the hero who is supposed to kill him but is hesitant seeing him in living proudly in his pathetic situation.

Reaction:
As one of the best anime I've watched this season, Hataraku Mao-Sama has an amazingly deep plot under all the humor and awkward situations the hero and demon lord get into.
Nothing too remarkable about the animation though. The story and premise is so simple yet funny it could easily be made into a live action or a drama-comedy series.
I'd give this anime two thumbs up, four out of five stars, or an 8.9 rating. I'm not really clear on how that's all done yet though.
Maybe it's time I think about what ratings I give to anime series I watch. hehe..

Railgun Season 2

2013-06-21T13:58:00.002-07:00

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S (A Certain Scientific Railgun S)

Railgun is one of my most anticipated shows this season. Rarely does a spin-off show get a second season, but Railgun has just enough fans and ratings from the first season to warrant another run this time around.

The show is a spin-off of To Aru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index). Railgun is told from the perspective of Misaka Mikoto, the third strongest Level 5 esper in Academy City. Her powers make use of electricity and eletromagnetism. Her most powerful attack is using a videogame arcade token to conduct massive amounts of voltage to a single coin, creating a high powered projectile, thus earning her the title "Railgun".

The second season revolves around the story of the clone project "Sisters" and the atrocities that Railgun has got involved in and her attempt to put an end to all of it. Appearances of Accelerator and Kamijou Toma are also to be anticipated. Plus the first time two other Level 5 espers appear on an anime.

Right now I've watched till episode 10, the next two episodes will probably be the finale can't wait to make the review, it'll be my first one in an a really long time.

Area no Kishi: Another sports anime?

2012-06-09T17:03:00.000-07:00

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Just Another Sports Anime?
Yes, it's a sports anime.. without the exaggerated screaming and impossible dreams. More than about becoming the best there is. The theme is more on friendship and brotherly love (not incest mind you).
The story revolves around Aizawa Kakeru, the less popular brother of a genius football player, Aizawa Suguru. Always living in the shadows of his brother who was not only admired in Japan but in the international level as well. That was before an unexpected accident that damaged Kakeru's heart, and left Suguru brain dead. Their parents chose to transplant Suguru's heart in hopes to save atleast one of their sons.
After the Kakeru recovered from the transplant, people around him started noticing an aura and skill that they all know is unmistakably Suguru's. Now Kakeru intends to follow in his brother's footsteps by playing football with hope that his brother is still alive inside him. But he's not the only one who thinks that. His brother's old rivals noticed it too when he was playing. And they're not going to pass up a chance to play with Suguru, even if it's just in spirit.

The end of Bleach

2012-02-25T03:39:00.000-08:00

Bleach anime and manga just got more interesting. Especially with news that the manga and anime is about to end. What's curios though is that the anime will be ending first before the manga. They'll probably put the final arc as a movie or probably make it into another series in the future. Never the less I'll be watch the anime from now on.

Anime announce to end on March 27

Knowing that there's an ending to an series makes the series more fulfilling to watch.

The manga enters it's final arc

Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas PC Game First Impression

2012-01-14T14:02:00.000-08:00

The game is set a decade before the anime on December 25, 2029. On that day, the "Apocalypse Virus" devastated the land in an incident known as "Lost Christmas." Against this backdrop, the game will reveal a previously untold story of the events leading up to the anime.

The main character, codenamed Scrooge, has been the subject of many experiments over the years along with many others.

Carol, another main character, was also a test subject who is relevent to the story as well. The two meet sometime during their stay at the facilities and they escape the facility together.

a girl called Present, who's fate is somehow intertwined with Scrooge and Carol's.

Well Its seen the characters name are base on the Story "Christmas Carol" that have alot of meaning in this game (like one of the Character in Anime Name Yuu/Death ) with it, gives alot of idea how story goes or the personality on each character. Anyway the story seem exciting when it about a prequel of a good anime like Fate/Zero.

Here a PV of the game:

A side story takes place in 2017, around the time Lelouch took on the alter-ego “Zero” and built up his “Black Knights” rebellion army (AKA. First Season). The setting is in Europe, where the Euro Universe (E.U.) allied nations are being invaded by the overwhelming forces of the Britannia Empire. On the verge of defeat, the E.U. army forms a special division known as “W-0″, which a young pilot named Hyuuga Akito is a member of. Reira Markale, a former Britannian Aristocrat comes to the E.U.'s aid, who commands the “Wyvern” Knightmare corps comprised of Japanese teenagers. They recklessly plunge into a battlefied, where the survival rate is extremely low(5%). The fight for their freedom, so that they can have a country that they can return to that feels like “home”. Thus begins their fight against the adult world.

The first screenings will air in 10 theaters in japan in early summer this year^^.

Denpa Kiyoshi Anime Wishlist

2012-01-13T14:18:00.000-08:00

I'm starting out this new segment. It's an anime wishlist of movies, novels, manga and comics that I would love to see in anime version. Since we've already seen Blade, Iron Man, and even Winter Sonata getting the anime treatment, who knows what they'll animate next right? Denpa Kiyoshi Anime Wishlist
Kagami Junichirou was a once an awesome Physics student at the University. He was so good that one of his thesis got published in several science magazines and was so incredible it could win a Nobel prize. But after graduation, Junichi went off the radar and stayed at home to be a NEET immersing himself into otaku blogging and collecting anime figures. He claims to have an illness called "ADW (A)Able only to (D)Do (What he Wants to do. -Sounds like just a lack of motivation to me. His little sister who was desperate to straighten him out got him a job as a teacher in none other his old school. He got accepted easily because of previous achievements even though he didn't like it at first. But with his unconventional teaching and some pretty interesting students, he learns he might really like teaching after all. I'm very interested in these kinds of anime. Otaku main characters have been popular in the past since he'll be someone the viewer can easily relate to. Plus having an extremely brilliant otaku professor who hates teaching but has so much potential and gets into all kinds of interesting and funny situations that turns out to inspire the people around him have always worked for anime like Negima, and Kami Nomi "The World God only Knows", both I realized just happened to be of the harem genre. Right now it's only in manga version. But the way the story is going, it won't be long before an anime will be made. Can't wait to watch it if does.

Ryoma Echizen's New Outfit: Prince of Tennis 2012

2012-01-12T13:42:00.000-08:00

The Prince of Tennis-Ryoma Echizen and the entire gang of Seigaku tennis club is back. Being invited to the U-17 tennis camp. The Seigaku team and other middle schoolers they have played before will undergo rigorous training where they will meet ruthless trainers and highly skilled tennis players who are in a whole different level.
The episode starts out easy for the team but then they find out that the real challenge has only started.
With Echizen and all our favorite characters from before showing off their moves and a new uniform, this new season is definitely something to look forward to.
