Founder's Day!

FEBRUARY 7th @ 10h00, CENTENNIAL CENTRE BALLROOM

Join Macdonald faculty, staff, students and alumni for the annual celebration of Sir William C. Macdonald, founder of Macdonald College, one of McGill's greatest benefactors and the fourth Chancellor of the University.

What are the impacts of the choices we make when we buy our groceries? How do corporations make decisions on how to produce and distribute their products, and what impact do those choices have on our health? What are the economical impacts of our eating habits, not just on the food industry but on our national and global economy? Are there alternatives to the current model? What is McGill doing in order to provide alternatives to current consumption? Our three panelists will debate those and other issues. A Q&A period will follow the panel discussion.

A light lunch will be served.

ADMISSION: First come - first served. Seating limited to 500. Doors close at 10h05.

ALL THOSE IN ATTENDANCE WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN AN iPAD MINI.

Winter Carnival!

Hello hello everyone!

Our favourite time of the year has arrived again, a time where we can celebrate the beauty of winter and the events that made up the history of our campus.

Winter Carnival will be starting Saturday January 26 with the Woodsmen Tournament and will end Sunday February 3 with the Super Bowl! But don't worries those are not the only two worthwhile events =)

Hey new students!

Your orientation week, which we call FROSH, is currently being organized. It'll start on Monday, August 27th and end Monday, September 3rd. But what is a 'FROSH'? Answer : it's just a week of activities to get to know people and have fun. Your frosh will include : Casey St-Jones' Comedy-Hypnosis show, free food, white river rafting, free food, treetop trekking, BBQ's, pub crawl, free food, relay races, beach day, concerts, and much much more!

2012 Winter Carnival : Get Ready!

The week of  January 28th to February 5th, 2012 will be packed with amazing events such as the Woodsmen Competition, Ski night at Mont St-Sauveur, a pool tournament, the CASINO NIGHT, a high-quality brunch and much much more!! Participation is the key to the Winter Carnival! Plus, by participating to the activities, you’ll gain extra coins for casino night! Hell yeah, you could immediately be the chip leader by gaining over 4x the initial amount of coins!   These coins are exchangeable for raffle tickets – MANY HUGE PRICES TO BE WON!

Remember: this week of activities is made for you… so have fun!
