*Thoughts on this? Joe? Steven? Derek (if you're still around)? I basically made this from my knowledge of each book and I'm using it for my sermon this Sunday. Basically, my point is that the letters on the left deal more with personal issues in each church with Philippians being closest to the middle. The letters on the right are much more general because of the fact that the audience is more foreign to Paul, so he writes to them to basically share his theological beliefs with them. Any help would be appreciated.
*A friend and I were talking the other day about how much we hate it when people say "we need to talk." Has anyone ever given good news after saying those words?
*A few days after that conversation, I sent that same friend a text and said "we need to talk." Yeah, I'm mean.
*China is currently in a housing bubble similar to what the United States went through in 2008. Their economy is on the brink of a recession so we may need to put a hold on calling them the next superpower... at least for now.
*They will probably make mostly right decisions on how to handle their housing bubble, unlike the United States and Europe. In fact from the looks of that article, it already seems like they're on the right track.
*Regardless, they still only have 1/8th the GDP of the United States, and they have four times as many people so GDP per capita is still 1/32nd of the United States.
*This country is still screwed though.
*I am fully aware of the fact that three of those four previous points may interest only me.
*What a game last night!
*You gotta feel for the Rangers. They were one strike away from winning the World Series in the 9th AND 10th innings and now they have to endure nine more innings to see if they're champions.
*I'm rooting for them only because I think it would hurt more if they lost. Ever since Super Bowl 42, I have felt far worse for losers of championships.
*This is especially true because a ridiculous amount of teams I root for have lost championships in the last four years.
*Sarah texted me a few minutes ago and said that the Google Maps street view people might have just taken a picture for her.
*If I were a dog for a day, my ideal situation would be to chase the Google Maps street view people and jump in the air whenever they take a photo. I would use up a solid 8 hours doing that, and then another hour running into glass doors.

This video is hilarious.

It makes me wish that I could be a dog for a day and have my friends follow me around with a video camera doing stupid things. I would definitely run into a glass door multiple times. I'd make thousands of dollars from my YouTube proceeds.

1. I love this picture.

2. They don't seem like awful candidates, but they're not what our country needs right now. As far as I'm concerned it is Ron Paul or bust for 2012. If he doesn't get the nomination... I can't believe I'm saying this... but I will abstain from voting and hope that Obama wins. Almost everything he does is the exact opposite of what I do, but it isn't about him. My eyes will already be on 2016 when chances are strong that the right candidate will step up and be ready to lovingly set fire to Rome and become vilified for it.

*You want to know something interesting about life insurance? Well, I'm sure most of us would assume that suicide isn't covered under life insurance policies. But, a large amount of policies cover suicide after the first two years. Crazy, huh?

*Regardless, it is still hard to include suicide as a selling point. I'd hate to give people an incentive to end their own lives.

*I'm preaching at my church this Sunday. Romans 12:1-2. Two very profound verses, but fortunately it is a subject I feel confident expounding.

*I was very intrigued by this article by a woman who became less nice and basically was able to advance in life because of it.

*Am I going to become less nice? No, by I'm going to avoid needless apologies as a result. You know what I'm talking about, right? I'm talking about how needless apologies are an obvious sign of insecurity. I'm going to avoid those kinds of apologies.

*I was also intrigued by what's going on in North Dakota. Basically, the economy there is booming and so many people are moving in that there's a housing shortage and people who are working great jobs can't find homes. That will be fun until the winter.

*Sarah and I don't get this.

*I miss Alyssa. I love Esther in ways I never loved Alyssa, but I loved Alyssa first. I don't think I'll ever stop missing her in this lifetime.

*If I could live a thousand lifetimes I'd want to be her father in every one. But in this lifetime it wasn't meant to be.

*Life is different than the movies.

*I learned a valuable lesson over the week. Even though I'm crazy about my daughter, my feelings for her still depend on how much I'm there for her, serving and loving her. Even the most lovable people need to be loved for your love for them to be magnified in your heart... if that makes any sense.

*I'm very much ready for this weekend. I was busy for almost every waking hour between Tuesday and today.

*I'm subscribed to Groupon and I have made one $4 purchase in about a year. Nothing ever even comes close to being appealing to me. Almost everything sold on there shouldn't be priced as high as it is anyway. That's why I'm willing to be that their suggested 12 billion dollar IPO isn't going to be very successful.

*In fact, it seems like there is already strong signs of internal shakiness.

*Their business model is just so easy to copy. I think it is definitely a fad.

*You can call me lame if you want, but I'm really looking forward to watching the upcoming Justin Timberlake movie "In Time." I'm a sucker for movies that involve the manipulation of time.

*You can call me lame if you want, but I actually kinda enjoy Justin Timberlake as an actor. I love it when he's on Saturday Night Live. He's hilarious.

*He's not as good looking as Barry Gibb though.

*I only have Timberlake to blame for the fact that I even know who Barry Gibb is. I love the intro song to the Barry Gibb talk show that Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon do when they're on SNL together.

*In regards to the picture above, I think we'll be seeing some changes to the laws regarding marijuana use coming soon. I could only imagine what those numbers look like here in California.

*I'm beginning to like my job as a life insurance salesman more and more. I have been really busy these last few days, but I really confident that I could be one of the top producers in the company. I also am fortunate enough to work at a company that consistently produces several of the top insurance agents in the nation.

*We'll see though. There are times that I really just want to be at home with Sarah and Esther. I need to find a fair balance of glorifying God with my work, and making quality time with my wife and daughter.

*This doesn't surprise me at all. Several of our former U.S. presidents were not all-star students in school.

*The ten most tweeted moments of all-time. I found myself getting more and more disappointed as the list went on. Especially with the #1 moment.

*I'm in three fantasy football leagues right now, and my overall record is 14-3-1. In case you didn't know, that's pretty impressive.

*One of my teams is 6-0 right now, and I may be crazy but I honestly believe that team could go undefeated. It is completely loaded. I have read about the virtual impossibility of a fantasy team going undefeated, but it looks like this could really happen.

*I have been reading Proverbs 2-3 over and over on a daily basis the last few weeks. I have been keeping 3:3 in mind lately.

*Proverbs 3:2 "Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

*Faithfulness - a fruit of the Spirit. As I have entered different areas professionally, this word has remained difference between success and failure.

*I know that salesmen are hard to trust, but it may be harder from my end of things. Even when somebody doesn't want what I'm trying to sell him or her, I very rarely hear the word "no." So instead of discarding the potential client's contact info, I hold onto it and continue to pursue them. It is painful sometimes.

*Great win for the Patriots yesterday. They fought hard despite four uncharacteristic turnovers. It was a vintage Tom Brady/Patriots win. They haven't confidently driven down the field like that at the end of a game for a long time.

*Before the Pats/Cowboys, I saw the end of the 49ers game against the Lions and the controversial coach fight that ensued afterwards. It was weird. I remember watching Harbaugh run up to shake Schwartz's hand and I was thinking "woah! slow down buddy!" Then he kept going and gave that awkward handshake and push in the back to Schwartz. Then it cut to the Patriots game. But the whole time I was thinking that Harbaugh needed to tune it down.

*My two and a half week old daughter stretches a lot.

*Surpisingly, nobody thinks the world is going to end today. Even at 10,000:1 odds. Crazy!

*If more people thought like Kevin from the Office, I'd be a very rich guy.

*Kevin has become my favorite Office character. His evolution over the seasons has been hilarious. At first, he was actually a pretty normal guy, but then he became dumber and dumber over the seasons. It always gives me a good laugh.

*Dwight was probably my favorite character in the earlier seasons, but he went from gullible nerd to somewhat respectable quasi-badass. I liked the gullible nerd better, but I understand why it had to go away.

*I thought about this last night... my favorite Office characters in order are Kevin, Dwight, Michael, Darryl, Creed, Stanley, Toby, Oscar, Andy, Erin, Jim, Pam, Kelly, Ryan, Phyllis, Angela, Gabe, and Meredith.

*A few things about that order. 1) I know it is top heavy for males. I don't intend it that way, I'm just neutral towards most of them. 2) Why are Jim and Pam so low? No real answer. I have just never been Jim and Pam fans. 3) I at least mildly like most of the characters from the Office except for probably Gabe and Meredith. Especially Meredith. 4) I used to dislike Creed, but he warmed on me.

*I loved reading this story about the Super Soaker. Those things were revolutionary... or at least about as revolutionary as a water gun could be.

*In case you couldn't tell, I'm working as a life insurance agent for the Hartford now. Things are picking up steam. I'm definitely set up in a good position.
*If you haven't seen from Facebook, my first child Esther Hope Costa was born on Thursday September, 29. Just a few weeks ago. I'm crazy about her.
*She squeaks a lot. I don't know how to describe the sounds she makes but they're really cute. We have started calling her "Squeaky."
*Since we already have experience raising four foster kids for a year, I came into this period as a parent thinking that it was going to be a piece of cake. Then there was a part of me thinking that I was crazy to think it would be so easy. Now that she's born... honestly, I don't know why people think it is so difficult to transition into parenthood. Like I thought... taking care of one child who doesn't move around and break things and get in trouble is a piece of cake.
*Yeah, I just said that.

*I found it on Rainn Wilson's Twitter account. I laughed myself to tears, but then I shared it with friends of mine and they only found it mildly funny.
*I always get disappointed when I share something I think is hilarious to a friend who doesn't enjoy it as much as I do.
*John Eldredge is weird.
*I'm fascinated by the progression of time. Whenever I look at an old picture, I constantly wonder about how old the person/people in the photo is/are. It's also cool to see what life was like at that moment in time. Because of that, I have a new favorite website. How to Be a Retronaut. It makes me feel like a time traveler.
*In case you were wondering, in July I got on a kick of posting random photos and videos multiple times a day. It was my attempt at being cool like Abraham Piper. I may or may not continue that one day. I need to stick to things more.
