Here is the rest of Alex's portraits. I was very pleased on the the way these photos turned out. In some way I think this shoot helped me realize the type of photography I enjoy most. I love the darker rich tones and the use of balanced flash. Thank you Elise and Alex!

LBP wins Weber County Fair Photography Contest

I got some exciting news yesterday!

I entered two photographs into the Weber County Fair. Both photos took 1st place in the Professional Category!

But the real exciting news is the photo below took Best of Show in the Professional category.

The photo is titled "6 Seconds at Weber"
The 6 seconds comes from the shutter being open for 6 seconds during this shot.

So an amazing thing happened today. I post Alex Butler's photo on Flickr yesterday. This was my first REAL time putting a photo on some type of photo sharing site. It was featured on the FRONT OPENING PAGE!!! WOW I was shocked to see that. Someone sent me a picture of the front page of Flickr! Here is what he sent:

It was also featured on the front page of Flickr Explore (The place to go to find interesting pictures).

AND on Friday it was named one of the top 50 photos on Flickr.

This was a GREAT shoot. I look forward to having more of this type of Photography in my back pocket. Alex Did a great job. He was a natural. He looks so much like a model/actor that some French people started to come up and take pictures of us when we were on the shoot. Make sure to see more of the upcoming pics. Stay tuned. There a quite a few awesome looking pics.

This is South Ogden Utah Days Celebration with Jack Ingram. Jack and his gang know how to rock the house. It was a great show.

There Dancing was awesome. Even Jack Ingram himself mentioned over the mic how great they were dancing.
