My 20th Birthday

Had a few celebration for my birthday this year, really thankful for all who made the efforts to have dinner with me, get me presents and to plan a surprise for me.

Met up with this two girls for a short catch up after a long while and they offer to pay for my dinner for my birthday. Thank you!

Had Fish & Co for dinner.


Food finally arrived after a long wait. Xiuhui was very chatty as usual, always updating all the finest details of what's happening around her! Xuele as usual, always listening to the conversions and fooling around.

I'm pretty much a sucker for Japanese Food! We ordered the set menu and shared among ourselves, food was great but I think the downside was that the table was too small to accommodate all the dishes. We had to rush every dish because the next dish is on the way & there are no more space to put them!

Thank you Jacq & Yong for the Gucci's fragrant set!  25th July 2011On the actual day, took a day off from work & headed to Bosses @ Vivo City for Dim Sum because I was craving for some Dim Sum!

Went back to work the next day & towards the end of the day, the colleagues tricked me into the pantry and they had the lights off and sang birthday song for me when I stepped in! Was pretty much caught in surprise! Thank you, people!

It has been 2 month since I started working. I've learnt a lot in this short period of time, so much that one month in the working society is like 1 year in school. Had a couple of hiccups & I learnt from them.

Work has always been a drag, but it kind of occupy your times in a good way.

But that's what work is all about -- making friends, making decisions, making mistakes and learning from them.

I'm really grateful to the people who have been treating me well during this starting phase. The beginning is always the hardest, you're new, you're inexperience, you've got no friend, you're shy and you're afraid you don't fit in.

Appreciate how these people teaches me, bring me along for lunches, share with me and also starting to include me in them. It really brighten up my day.

Sometime, it's just the little gesture from them that makes my day.
Thank you.

But reality will hit some day, definitely, as times go by, frictions between people, grumbles and gossips are inevitable. Have to learnt how to deal with this.

/just here to drop a little thought I have in this little space of mine.

It was the day we finally graduated from Ngee Ann, the day we bid goodbye to poly life.3 years of journey in exchange of a few second on stage.

Nike: Running Is For Girls II

Saturday: 7th May 2011

It was the day for the girls --- A 5km Nike run solely for the girls at the Marina Barrage.

We all signed up for buddy team which come up to $20/- per person only

& we got the Nike orange goddess tee, a Nike ladies' shoe bag, a few stalks of Gerbera, band concert, free giveaways, ice-cream, refreshments, a jewellery stand(!!) & they provide polaroid-taking with fanciful accessories!

We got team names for our buddy group, shujun & bai were in the same team.

& Shujun named their team as 'Vanilla Chocolate'!

*ahem* 20 this year already, not 2!

Everybody gathered at the start point at 5.30pm to start the race!

Sun was scorching hot but that does not bring us down!

Hong Kong Travelogue - Disneyland

Got up early despite gambling at Venetian casino til wee hour (4AM)! Can't afford to waste time during holiday!

We had our buffet breakfast at the hotel!

Some simple Chinese style breakfast we had.

There were cereals, ham and some others that were available at the hotel too!

Had a quick breakfast & off we go to Macau Ferry Terminal !

Snap Snap! & we were all heading to the Macau Ferry Terminal to bring us back Hong Kong! Had a hard time trying to locate the ticketing counter because there were many ferry tickets counters selling tickets to other part of China in very tight schedules! Took us quite a bit of time over there! (˘o˘)

Finally got our tickets for First Class Turbo Jet ferry!

Tee Vee to keep passengers entertained during the 45 minutes trip.

& comes along with lunch as well, though it was only a 45 minutes ride!
---It was Macau Public Holiday on that day & many people were crossing the border to Hong Kong to enjoy the holiday! We did not know about the holiday & we had a hard time clearing the customs over at the Hong Kong end! We wasted a lot of time there & not many counters were open to serve the huge crowd, that was really bad, people pushing around trying to be the first! ._.---

& after a good one hour, finally seeing the Hong Kong streets and the familiar cabs you see on H.K Drama!

Reached Disney's Hollywood Hotel ! Hong Kong Disneyland has 2 hotels namely the Disney's Hollywood Hotel or Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel!
Disneyland Hotel is grand with Victoria style and is much more expensive than the Hollywood theme - Hollywood Hotel!

All the staffs in the theme park are all up in costumes, so beautiful.

First Up: A kiddy ride whereby the car will move along the track, we just have to sit in the car and let it move.

Weekdays bicycle rate @ East Coast Park - $6 for 3 hours





Loving how carefree it is to waste our time by the sea, looking at people fish, how airplanes prepare their landing routes, guessing which airline it was while whipping out the camera to take pictures of whatever interesting that was worth taking.

Don't we all love time like this, cycling at your own pace enjoying the heat from the sun, the wind blowing against our faces. Many of us are so much in the busy chaotic world that we forgotten to slow down and take some time off for some me-time. This might be the last long holiday for me and I really hope it doesn't end but we have to face the harsh reality - get a job & earn money.

Located at the Singapore's Flyers showcasing life of the olden days, ranging from the furnitures, daily necessities, electronic appliances, etc. Besides that, there are a range of food stalls featuring authentic Singapore food and food that are no longer available like the ice ball.

Definitely going back one day to try the dishes and the ice balls which the older generation raves about how colourful and sweet it was.

The world is evolving at such great speed, will people treasure the great discovery and creations people made in the past?

Hong Kong Travelogue - Macau

5D4N Hong Kong & Macau Vacation Via Cathay Pacific Airline --- Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport
Exchange Rate: SGD1 to HKD5.82

Board an early 3 hour flight to Hong Kong Airport, it was my 2nd visit to Hong Kong. The previous trip was a family trip, this time was different, I am no longer (PG) Parental Guidance. First time w/o my parents & the first time with friends & the first flight with Aidan Ong after being together for 4 years.

Took the chance to take some nap, replenish some energy because did not catch a wink the night before.
While the stupid boy watched movies through out the flight.

& to wake up with breakfast, comes in 2 choices!

(1) Seafood Congee

(2) Egg Omelette with Sausage (All accompanied by Meiji yogurt, pastries, drinks & fruits)

After 3 hour of flight, we stepped on the ground of Hong Kong!

Your best friend when you are at somewhere foreign.

All happy faces waiting to explore Hong Kong!

Took the tram to claim our luggages!

After retrieving our belongings and confirm our 5D4N itinerary, we boarded the mini bus which fetched us to the ferry terminal to bring us to MACAU!

It's around an hour bus ride from Hong Kong Airport to the Ferry Terminal.
This is what happen when you're in a relatively bigger countries as compared to Singapore, an hour can bring you from one end of Singapore to the other end already. :/

Auto Toll Station, it's like ERP in Singapore - You have to pay to pass.

The stupid boy who don't take nap during the any journey on bus, ferry, plane just to take care of me and the belongings while I was totally taken away to my lala land.

In the ferry which brought us from Hong Kong to Macau in 45 mintues.

Seats were big and comfy so it's time to nap again! hee.

Arrived at Macau & there were many private van drivers near the lobby trying to persuade tourists to allow them to drive them around to places of attractions in Macau but of course, with a price.
We agreed since we were a rather big group and it will so much accessible and cheaper to use his service.
It's was great to have such services for us because we were lugging with so many luggages and all of us were there for the first time.
So, we're on our way to many pretty places in Macau!
First up: Macau Fisherman's Wharf - 澳門漁人碼頭

Weather there was great with wind constantly blowing against your face, would love to have such weather in Singapore.

An attraction with rich European heritage.

The architecture buildings feels that you're not in Asia.  It's another version of Roman amphitheatre, so much details on the walls


In the background is the bullring where lots of audiences watched the bull fight! Guessed there's no such activities there now since it pretty much become an attractions.












With such heritage buildings, how can we not take tourist-ly pictures!

We then headed to the center of all the Macau's Casino & Hotels to look at lights!

It's was only 5PM there but the sun is already setting! They have an earlier sunrise & sunset as compared to Singapore!

Hotels & Casino had their fanciful lights on to welcome the night life in Macau!
It's really like a mini Las Vegas!




We were still on our mini tour around Macau, so we only took some pictures & hop on the van to our next destination!

This is one of the main attraction in Macau! If you watched H.K or Macau's drama, you should be familiar with this church!

One of the must go destination to take pictures.


Lucky we were at Macau at the right time because the week before our trip, Macau was around 5 to 8 degree Celsius, would be freezing if we're there! Really love the weather there at 15-18 degree Celsius because we would sweat buckets wearing long sleeves and jeans!

Walked down the flight of stairs & there will be lots of shop-houses & restaurants!

It's late & time for us to check in our hotel at Tai Pan & go for our dinner!

Checked in & refresh ourselves before we hit the restaurant & casino after that!

Time is precious when you're on holiday, you want to visit all the places in the shortest time possible! So, in no time, we were all out of the hotel in search for food!

All dishes were nice & food was served very fast!! or maybe we were all super hungry after a whole day of walking!

We walked around the streets to get dessert & asked for directions to Venetian Macao!

A grand and magnificent hotel & casino!
Owned by the Las Vegas Sand, the lobby and the pathway were really grand with Rome culture decorations. Can't stop WOW-ING while in the hotel.


A pity we did not had the DSLR with us when we're at the hotel because it would be a chore to bring such bulky camera while gambling!

Need I say more?

Even the toilets were so well decorated!

Love the Macau attractions & food & it's a pity we were only there for 1 day.If there's a chance, I'll go back there maybe for 3D2N!

Hooked On Flea @ TAB Orchard

Set-up a flea booth at TAB Orchard organised by Freemansland.

Most of the clothings are from Jacq & his brother, I brought a few to sell which I buy on impulse or I don't wear them anymore.

Din't sleep the whole night as I've become nocturnal during the holidays, so I went to the flea with no sleep at all.

Wrapped up our day at 6PM feeling extremely lethargic and soreness in the bodies because we stood most of the time.

Sales was not bad, could be better if the flea lasted longer.

Holiday --- In the Meantime

Halo to all!

1 week of holiday has just past in a blink of an eye!

Gonna take this chance to take a rest & do whatever I want before I start my job hunting.

Have been out every single day doing all my favourite things.

4th Year Anniversary

It was Aidan & my fourth year Anniversary, only got to spent the day together in the late afternoon because we have classes on.

He did what he likes to do best - lied about the destinations & being indecisive, then bring you to the restaurant that he made reservation for.

Always the same old approach. but always made me suspecting and anticipating without fail.

How irritating.

Said we're having our dinner at one of the restaurant at Jewel Box, so we sat on the cable car over.

Still anticipating what are we having for our dinner....

The boy who I kinda hated in the past to become good friends and to becoming a couple.
& going on good for the past 4 years.
People around watched us grow & I guessed we are now doing pretty well I think.

So here we are at the Jewel Box - I was still waiting for him to reveal where's our dining place.

He brought me to what we always wanted to try for previous anniversaries but we forsake the idea because of budget constraints, that is to the

Sky Dining

Well, actually kinda suspected to be it but he act pretty well to convinced me that it's some restaurant up on the hill.

Sipping on our welcome drinks while the staffs transform the empty cabin to a dining cabin!
They were well trained to ensure that the time taken to coordinate the food and bringing us in the cabin is the time when the cabin did a reroute of the directions!

So first up was the appetizer
Smoked Salmon
Served with Asparagus
& Soup Served with Bread

The soup & bread was great, love dipping my bread into the soup before eating it.

Anyway, would love to go on a cruise one day, haven been on it before.
Such a mountain turtle.

Actually, am not big fan of smoked salmon because I usually don't take in raw stuffs into my tummy. So, the appetizer wasn't really my thing.

& then we were back from our first round in the cabin -- to change our dishes during the intervals.

Main --- Pan Fried Cod Fish
served with assorted vegetables & mushrooms.

Food wise was really not up to expectation because the dish was served pretty oily which I don't like it. It makes you feel sick after a few mouthfuls.

+point about sky dining is you get to sit in the cabin & enjoy the view from up high.
The city view at Vivo City, the integrated resorts and also the cruises that are departing.

Dessert -- Gelatin Cheescake
Served with Mixed Berries

was pretty good, thank god it was small because we were already so full after the appetizer & the mains.
& there's a saying that says 'There's always room for dessert!!'
So no matter how full you are, you will have your dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth!

So it's was another round in the cabin, we had quite a number of rounds to and fro Mount Fabar and Sentosa.

Accompanied with tea.

It's was the Christmas seasons during our anniversary so there's beautiful Christmas decorations up at Mount Faber, Sentosa and Vivo.

As for the drinks wise - we were rather spoilt for choice because we go the welcome drinks, red wine to accompany our mains, tea during the desserts and also the plain water.

Of course, the best part about sky dining is that it's really private because there's no passerby and no waitresses next to you.
You'll get to spend quality time alone, in the cabin, accompanied with foods & drinks and a breathtaking views.

It's a one in a lifetime experience to actually dine up in the sky.
However,I wouldn't go there twice because it's not really worth to spend the money for a dinner like this as food wise wasn't great.
Could really get better food at a fraction of the price.

Nevertheless, the view was really great & it's good quality time to spend it with your loved ones up in the sky.

Thank you for the time to book the cabin despite hectic school periods few months back.
& for always keeping me anticipated for the past 4 years.

Love you & there'll be many more years to come.

Last Day of Tertiary Education

Photo shoot with the rest of the classmates during the last day of school.

Rather busy with all the shootings and the collection of money for the pictures.

It went well & the pictures are in the letterbox within a week of processing and mailing. C:

3 years of poly life ain't as easy as many thinks, I'm glad all of us pull through all the tedious assignments and whatsoever with the support from one another.

3 years: seen lots of different people which different personalities, perspective and habits. Picked up a lot of lessons along the way on how pretentious, hypocrite, whiny, nonchalant and sensitive some people may be.

There are some who indeed made a rather huge impact during my 3 years here & am fortunate to have stumble on a handful of trusty ones.

Of course, there are many others who had made their footprints in my 3 years in Ngee Ann.

Be it for good or bad, thanks for all who stepped in.

May all goes smoothly of our future path ahead.

& hope we still stay in touch.

To start off, a very Happy 2011 to everybody who still visit this site.

2010 has been a hell roller coaster year, many goods & bads happened!

A little recap of 2010:

Held a successful I&E event selling Vitagen in January 2010!

Had 2 nights stressful stay over at the Ngee Ann Loft to finish up our assignments!

Learn how to prawn and crab - A very good activities to just chill and relax with friends.

The only clubbing night because it was Shujun's birthday.

Our clique is not a big fan of clubbing.

The 1st getaway with my friends involved.

Though it's only to Malaysia, had hell lots of fun.

Spent half of my 2010 as an interns in Resort World at Sentosa (RWS)

It was great being an interns there, I got to know nice and good friends at RWS.

Had the chance to play at Universal Studio Singapore for free & for a numerous times! (:

Lost a friend because of an accident.

Got exposed to a lot of things I've never experience such as office politics and more.

They are the people who made the 5months fun & less stressful.

A failed surprise on my 19th Birthday.

Got my driving licence.

1st time celebrating a birthday in a hotel.

I know very well who are the one whom I can depends on & who are the ones that truly care.

Really grateful to BF- Aidan Ong, Clique, the girls (3Js), classmates who are true & real & lastly my RWS interns friends.

Happening in 2011:

Graduate from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a diploma

Overseas trip with my own hard-earned money.

Would not make any new year resolution because it does not happen and after a few months, you forgotten all about your new year resolution & they become your next year resolution!

It was Teck Yong 19th Birthday that day, Jacq & us planned a little surprise for him.

All of us lied to him that we were not free that day but we were all preparing the surprise for him while Jacq tricked him out to town.

Jeslyn came to fetched us & off we go to collect cakes, helium balloons and order for delivery!

The room and toilet was really spacious, many room for movement and great for parties!

Harrow! Time to update this personal online space of mine.

School has been pretty good so far, I'm cherishing the times I have in school because this is the last semester of my 3 year journey in NP. I'm sure one day I will look back and start missing going to school.

It was a day we had an adventure to visit the newly renovated Canteen 4 of Ngee Ann & I'm ashamed to say that it was our first visit to Canteen 4 in our 3 years in Ngee Ann.

Swear I looked damn cui because it was tough waking up for classes at 9AM.

So we arrived at the canteen & all of us ordered the Western Food because it smell good when we stepped into the canteen.

but it kinda disappoint all of us because it doesn't taste good at all.

& we can have better quality Western at canteen near our block..

& all of us swore we are not going back Canteen 4 for meals again.

There's quite a few things to blog about but I'll leave it for the next post!

Very sorry for the slow updates in this space.
Jacq & me made an impromptu decision to go CHIJMES after shopping one day at Orchard, it was the F1 Final that day & Chijmes was screening the F1 Race live there.

There are a lot restaurant with cozy indoor dining and outdoor dining under the stars.

Served mainly Western food, went there a few weeks later to try on their restaurant with Xuele & Kenny, blog about it other day :>

Girls being girls, cam-whoring at every corner.

The courtyard architectural of chijmes don't look like you're in Singapore at all.

Look at the numerous huge projector they provided for their customers!

Trying to catch a glimpse of the winner before settling down at Hog's Breath Cafe for some desserts!

The menu looks good but we went there with a bloated stomach but there's always room for dessert!!
Should try their main's the next time.

Parking fee was horrendous.
$15 per entry because it was F1 period, we were there for less than 3hour.

It's scary how the two of us have been meeting every other day, getting sick of each other already luh!
We can't think of anywhere/ any activities to do already!

The Last First Day of School

Yesterday was my last first day of school in NP, feeling all weird to be in school after 8 months and trying to absorb the lectures during classes today.

School's like an unfamiliar ground to me now with different cliques of people across the whole cohort in the same class, trying my best to adapt to the new environment.

Nevertheless, am very glad that my few best girls are in the same class as I am. :>

There are a lot of changes in our habit, it's so different.

Sentosa Imbiah Lookout

The first image that flashes across most of our minds when we think of Sentosa is the beaches, the Sun, the Sand, bikini girls right?

We kind of neglected the other part of the small island which offer us the different attractions and rides! So put on your sunglasses and start exploring all these attractions like a tourist! :>

There are many attractions in Sentosa that I've never been to, my family did not bring me to such places when I was a kid. We always go to Zoo to see animals pooped so I kinda hope I will have more chances to explore the Sentosa in the future.

It's a 4D motion ride, you put on the 3D glasses, sit in the cabin and you will experience roller coaster rides

with the whole cabin moving & shaking.

It felt very real while crossing the mountain and tossing around the forest!

Buckled up your seat belts, put on your 3D glasses and you're all ready for the rides!

Next up: Pirate 4D Magix

The seats are furnished with leg ticklers and the seats will vibrate.

The Tiger Tower, would like to try it someday!

Aidan's 19th Birthday!

Friday 06th August 2010

It was the last day of the semester and it was the long National Day weekends, so Aidan rent a car for his long birthday weekend. Picked me up at Harbourfront & we head to East Coast Park for seafood!

at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant.

Waiting time was slow there, guessed all seafood restaurant are like that. :/

Chili Crab was the highlight of the night.
How can anyone dined at a seafood restaurant without having crab right? Heehe

& some Fried Mantou to dip in the chili crab sauce!

Super bloated after the dinz, lucky we did not order rice because we learnt from our past experiences that rice will make us feel super duper bloated.

Cake I got frantically at Harbourfront Center after work because I was carrying a lot of bags with cameras, cups & files from work. It's the last day of intern, so I had to pack all my personal stuffs back home.

Had to fetch his Brother Ackley and GF Bettie to catch a midnight movie at Jurong Point.

We caught The Airbender in 3D, I hate that movie, it was boring & the only 3D effects was the subtitles!
It's not my kind of show, I fell asleep in the cinema for 3/4 of the show.

So we sent Bettie back home after the movie & we had a cake cutting session at her car-park.

His favorite flavor - Oreo Cheesecake.

After cutting the cake, we packed the cake & Aidan Ong brought back home and ate it all by himself!
His birthday weekends was so long, had to line up a few activities for him because he rented a car, so blog about them in the next post. Goodbye.

I don't know about you people, but I got this weird fetish in organizing my playlist- to name the Artist's name before the song title and capitalize every first letter of the word.

& Chinese songs must be in Chinese characters, not Hanyu Pinyin.

I cannot stand how some people's playlist has got many weird characters, like &ju38d7 kind.

That is madness. & I got one particular friend whose playlist is like that, she actually can remember those different weird character and tell me what song is that!

(ahem,WXL)
