I love, love love Little S' happy disposition. It is what we wanted her to be, a happy child. Of course she also has bad days, like this day.

She woke up today crying, looking for daddy. This happy pic here was after daddy's phone call.

Hubby has been so busy lately with work because their company has been scheduled for audit, there were nights where he stayed out because his work is 2 hours away from our place and I hate the thought of him driving late at night and then getting out of the house at dusk of dawn, it's not safe and very unhealthy for him. Instead of going home we decided that he stays at a hotel that's somewhere near the office.

So for those days that hubby was working it's just me and Little S. We play, read stories and had so much fun together, but from time to time she asks me where daddy was and I tell her, daddy has to work. I hate the look on her face after telling her that daddy won't be coming home. You see, both are soooooooo close to each other, Little S is inlove with daddy and Daddy is inlove with her princess.

One morning I was awaken by her cry, looking for her daddy. So we had to call daddy at 5 am to her persistent request, she actually handed me my phone to dial daddy's number.

The call, instantly made her giddy happy. She was all smiles after, hugging and kissing me, she even sang and dance after.

Talking to daddy made Sophia's day.

Four years ago Our dreams came true.

For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer,in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; til death do us part.

I can still remember my wedding day like it was just yesterday, the memories are still so clear. I can still remember how I felt walking down the aisle. I can still hear the echo of US exchanging those vows infront of God, infront of our families and friends. We were so inlove that we could promise anything and everything to each other, we can promise the moon and the stars if we would, it was that intense.

Fast forward today, 4 years after. Our promises of commitment have been tested several times, countless times, but each time we've made it through the hurdles still holding hands.

From the start we've been told that it's going to be a bumpy ride, that some couples will make it and that some couples won't. But we made a strong decision right from the start that our marriage is forever. We've faced all those trials head on and we will face whatever storm coming our way with the same determination four years ago when we uttered those vows. Our strongest weapon and our shield, is God and this thing called LOVE.

Sophia's First Candyland Birthday

Sophia is turning 2 next month, and I'm just about to do the party planning for her 2nd birthday, when I realized I haven't posted about her first birthday here in my blog. It was such a wonderful birthday party and it deserves a spot here at Party of Three.

This is going to be a very long post with pictures overload, so brace yourself and enjoy. I'm sure you guys will love it.

Sophia's Candyland Birthday Party

Cupcake and Lollies Invitation

I wanted a simple yet delicious invites for Sophia, so I designed the cupcakes and Lollies and just inserted sweet pics of her for more personal touch. I glued Popsicle sticks for a more effective lollipop invites. I think it did the trick and everybody loved it.

Welcome to Candyland

We held the party at Bella Vista Hotel, the place was decorated with lots and lots of balloons and the ceiling was decorated with swags. I told Giggle Waggle, owned by my highschool classmate, about the concept I want for the party, and they delivered beyond my expectation.

What's a candyland party without a candy buffet, right? So I also set up sweet station for all the sweet tooth guests young and old alike. The cupcakes were baked by my Aunt, the candies were given by my good friend Ate Wilvette. I added Sophia's frame and ladybug picture to add cuteness.

I availed a package party from Ballooney which includes a party host, 30 pcs give aways, slide tikes, food cart (cotton candy and Softee Icecream).

Candy girl was shocked to see her other self (standees) hehehehe. She had two party dress, this tutu and a beautiful red gown. She also wore this tutu dress last halloween here.

Giveaways

Aside from the package I got from Ballooney, I also gave out kiddie toothbrushes to ease my guilt of setting up such a sweet party and I also prepared adult toothbrushes as well.

I also made cupcake towels and towel candies and 3 lollipop topiaries. Hopefully when I have extra time, I'd show you how I did all three. They are easy and fun to do :)

The party turned out just the way I planned it. So happy to see happy children running, singing and dancing

during the party. And even happier to see the Moms and dads, titos and titas, lolos and lolas Partying like

children, playing w/ the balloons, getting in line for the cotton candy and icecream. Smiles, Laugh... Happy

faces everywhere. :)

February 26: My two lovies are having an LQ (lover's quarrel). I actually find it cute.

Maury was away for 4 days and 3 nights, because of work. Of course his princess didn't like the idea, when daddy finally came home she won't talk to him and won't go near him doesn't even let daddy touch her.

The daddy grew tired of courting his little princess and felt bad of how she acted towards her.

Thus, the picture above.

February 28: I had to go back twice to the rack where Sophia's milk is displayed, 5 days ago it was P864.

Now it's P909. Seriously?!?

February 29: She's fond of hiding things now.

March 1: Already?

So I decided to start the month with pedis. Nice way to start the mont, don't you think?

March 2: Calling daddy to go home already because she wants to watch Tangled together.

Love Notes for Sophia: First Birthday Cake

Sophia is one year old and 11 months today, which means, exactly a month from now she will be turning 2.

I should start planning her birthday. I know I said I'll plan early as early as six months but here I am again....

My Ged.... I hope I can pull things off. I'm a little pressured because everybody is expecting a great party, because we threw one big First party for her last year. (Parang nag debut lang naman ang anak ko last year.)

We have our reasons why we had it grand, after the miscarriage I had before Sophia and the waiting and praying for another baby, and then I finally got pregnant with her again, for the whole 9 months I was scared to death of losing another baby, so when she turned one we just have to celebrate, our way of thanksgiving.

This year, we want to throw a simpler one for her. My mind is full of ideas already and I can't wait to start planning. I am in love with parties and small details. I'll be sharing it here in my blog and I'll be sharing Sophia's long overdue first birthday last year too in my next post. (crossing my fingers) It's going to be a fun post with lots of DIYs

We are YAYA less

We have been Yaya less for almost 3 months now, and maybe you'd think it must be hard for working parents like us. Well, it was very challenging at first especially for me or for most working moms out there with the same situation because whether we like it or not the moment we became mothers, we also became worriers.

But being Yayaless taught us a lot about parenthood, responsibilities and I've discovered a lot about me.

Maury, Sophia and I are closer. Everyday is family day. Everyday is a chance to get to know each other better.

We learned to give and take. We now have one on one time with Sophia.

A test of patience. After work, I leave my smack gown and wear my mommy clothes. Play with her a bit, dinner time, prepare her milk, bath time and then cuddle her to sleep. But it's not always smooth like that, there's also tantrums, and because I'm taking care of our most precious possession, I have no other way to go but be More patient (1000x).

Playtime with Sophia is sooooooooo fun. It's such a happy moment to be reliving my childhood. Thank you anak.

Being Yayaless, taught me that I could never go tired watching Barney and Tangled 10x a day because it makes Sophia happy.

I am a superwoman, its just a relative term. I want to do everything from being a super Dentist, Super Wife and Super Mom but having a 2 year old child and being the superwoman wannabe that I am - is just impossible. Reality Check: No man is an island. I need help. To know that and to accept that I can't do it all is humbling. And to finally let down the barriers and let people reach out to help is a blessing.

Makes me think being yayaless is not that bad after all.

February 19: Mommy Ecky is so back from Canada after a 2 months vacation, Sophia misses her so much and we do too, so we are happy that she's home and we are happier with the goodies she have for us.

These are goodies from Canada with love. Thank you so much to my cousins who never fails to remember us. We will see you soon on we'll sure have a blast.

February 21: After years of staying idle in my closet, I finally decided to use you.

You may not be the best Iron but because you are pink, it makes a difference hehehehe

February 22: Barney, why are you so loved by my Sophie? Why can't I stop myself from singing your songs?

Sophie's Style: Partying (CJ's Disney All Star Birthday Party)

The last children birthday party we attended to was Cj's 7th birthday and their family's despidida party all in one, because they're going to the US for good.

Lucille, Cj's mom, is one of my high school bestfriend, I think I've written bits about our friendship in this blog and specifically here, I'm not going to expound about how close we are in this post because I don't want to be all emotional and I intend to keep this post happy and colorful. I am going to miss Lucille and her family, I'm glad we've built solid memories together. So let's just leave it at that.

Now back to the party.

Cj's All Star Birthday Party Theme was filled with colorful swags and balloons. The whole place was decorated with almost all disney characters. It was a lovely party.

I've noticed few remarkable things about Sophia, we went to the party riding a cab just me and her because hubby was working til 7 pm and we will just meet him there, anyways we are yayaless ( no nanny) since Christmas. I was a bit scared if I'll be able to handle my very active Sophia alone with two large bags and a neatly wrapped birthday gift on hand. But Surprisingly, we survived. She was very behave the whole 45 minutes trip to the party.... (clap clap)

At the party, she wasn't scared of clowns anymore, (another clap clap). She was actually having fun and she even asked me to take pictures of her with the clown. :) Oo diba? when our babies overcome their fear, we moms are always happy :)

When I was a toddler, I remember sneaking my way to the cake table and when no ones watching I'd stick my finger on the cake to steal me some icing.

Guess what? my little Sophia did that at the party and I was hysterically laughing at what I saw, it felt weird. lol . Maybe it's a stage we all go through as a kid. Whatever it is, I think it's cute. I'm glad I was able to capture this moment and I'm sharing it to all of you.

I was talking to my friend when I noticed, Sophia wasn't in her kiddie chair. I looked for her and found her here:

See the sticking out of the finger and the stealing for some icing love? So like mommy.... hahahaha....

Finger licking good. Nobody would have notice what she did except there were traces of icing on her shirt.

When she spotted me looking at her, she ran off laughing....

Ahhh.... Mommy Moments like this is worth remembering....

Hairstyle: Round Faces

What's your face shape?

If you have a round face like most Asians are, let me welcome you to the club *hugskissesmwah*.... I feel you. I feel you.

Do you envy those faces with Oval shapes? The ones who can get away with any hairstyles? Me too. That's the reason why I'm always hesitant to get haircuts. You can read it here. I'm too scared to walk out of the salon full faced, you know what I mean? The chubby chubby cheeks, the more now that I've gained weight.

But hey I'm proud to say, I finally braved my way to the salon to get a haircut. And I now know what hairstyle suits my round face best.

I know... few more months and Rapunzel will hate me lol

Here is what I learned, there's really no need to hate our round face, we just have to know some tricks and tips so we can embrace what we have and focus on making us confident and gorgeous. As they say make the most of what we have.

The most basic principle on hairstyles for a round face is:

Get a hair cut that deflects the roundness of the face.

Stay away from Big- Hair looks. Its just not for us.

Here are some tips and tricks I want to share with you. :

YES!!! to:

Long Hair- because it lengthens the face. (Now you know why I always wear my hair long.)
Straight Hair- because it doesn't add body to the side of the face.
Long Layers and uneven cuts that starts at the earlobes or lower

This hairstyles can be tricky to most of us but is still doable:

Curls add volume to your face, but if you insist on having one, it should begin below the lips. Cut in layers to weigh it down and make sure to grow it a couple inches or more below your chin.
Bangs- go for side swept bangs
Bobs- go for long bobs that are at least 2 inches longer than the jawline

What cut did I get? I chopped off 5 inches of my hair. Had a side bangs that drop chin level. And since I have thick hair, I asked for long layers to soften my face .

I'm loving my new hair.

Somehow getting a new haircut renewed me in so many ways and it inspired me to love me more. So dramatic right? but that's how I truly feel. We devoted mothers and wives deserve all the pampering, after all a Happy Mommy = Happy Family.

February 12: The party of three is so happy to tell all of you that "Carmella" has lit up. YES YES YES!!!! Finally after almost 2 weeks of waiting. Thanks so much Meco, now we are ready to have our weekend escape.

February 13: Finally got the courage to chop 5 inches off my hair.... I'm so proud of myself . You can read the whole experience here :)

February 14: Love is in the air.

We had a wonderful Tangled Valentine....

February 15: Still obsessing with my new hair... hahahah.... I know, right?

February 16: My little diva is singing everywhere. This time in the supermarket. The people were so amused with her and so was I.

February 17: These two have the most interesting relationship, they love each other one minute

then fight like cats and dogs; only to be friends again....

February18: Teeny's 32nd birthday. She's one of the strongest woman I know. So complicated yet simple at the same time.

I love you girlfriend. Though we are far always remember I'm here for you because we're sisters :)

That's how are Valentine's was. We celebrated the heart's day Tangled up in Bed watching Tangled. It's actually not the romantic movie I was rooting for but Little S so love the movie that we have been watching it for a million times and still counting.

Glued to Tangled

She exclaims everytime she sees the lantern like she sees it the first time. Then asks me and daddy to sing "I see the Light" in unison with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, which explains why I've been singing it at work too (LSS) ... The way she looks at us while we sing the duet and with her loud clap after.... AHHHH!!!! no debating about it, we are officially better than Mandy and Zachary.... hahahha.... well, at least to our most precious Valentine Sophia. :)

We've skipped the commercialism of Valentine's Day but definitely not the Romanticism. We spent it in the most romantic place in the whole world, in the comforts of our own bed, cuddling with the two loves of my life, witnessed by no other than Princess Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder.

Our Valentine's date didn't cost much and I think it doesn't have to. The real essence of the occasion is about --LOVE-- being with the people you love, and making them know and feel they are loved, regardless of where you spend it covers the true meaning of the occasion, right?

But what's Valentines without a little present? Well, actually this is just a bonus from sweet hubby. He gave me one long stemmed Red Rose, Sophia and My Mom a balloon with little stuff toys in it, the day before the "V" day, it's just hubby's simple ways of saying I LOVE YOU.

I didn't get the chance to take pics of the three of us on "the day" I was too busy singing for my little one. So, I'd just leave you with this pic from my love notes for Sophia and I See The Light the lyrics, if you're in to it.

Everything Pink

I am not a fashionista, but I'm not the Baduy type either. (I hope not). Don't get me wrong, I love fashion, in fact I read a lot of fashion blogs, love scanning fashion magazines and I love watching fashion related shows like America's Next Top Model and the like. I love dressing up to like all the other women, I'm just not the "Pa-uso" type. As long as my wardrobe is not outdated and "in" , I'm OK with that. My fashion sense is base on comfort, especially now that I'm a Mama.

Baby Tee's to me is love. :)

I got it days before my birthday. When I saw the package, I was really happy and excited, I tore it open as soon as i got hand of it, hahahaha.... Promise, no joke... I was very thrilled that I tried it on right away. Thank you Thank you so much Mommy Rubs :)

When I was trying the shirt on, my little girl kept shouting,

Me: " ok, ok.... Can I borrow it first, anak?"

She was ok with me borrowing her Tee but in one condition, she has to be in the pic too....

I only got one solo shot and the rest were all photos of her harassing me to take of the shirt of.

It's been awhile since the last time I made " Love Notes for Sophia" post. I'm happy I'm back to doing this again and what a good way to start with teaching my happy baby her a little bit about life and Happiness. :)

Life is what we make it.

We all go through rocky bumpy road or roads at times but how we deal with it is always our choice.

Choose to be happy even in your downfalls....

Find happiness in the little things. Because sometimes the little things are the big things.

And when you're blessed abundantly, always share.

Shared blessing always give happiness to the recipient and most especially to the giver.

Who am I

I have two first name Phoebe Carla, like everybody in our family, i have even more nicknames, Phoebe, Ibyang, Fifi, Carla, Caliling, Lalah, Badiding, Balandra, whew! And the latest would be Pang or Babe that's what hubby calls me and of course Mommy/ Ma from my little princess.

I am the president of the long hair club. Been wearing my hair this long for a long time now, I’m going back and forth on having it cut. Let’s see how things progress, maybe I’ll conquer my fear and finally have it cut short. I’m 5 feet tall… okey 4’11 and 1/3 but 5 feet is easier to say hehehe…

I’m the luckiest girl in the whole wide world (in my own perception). I’m a spoiled friend. I’m a spoiled wife, let’s just say hubby loves me sooooooooooo much. Spoiled favorite daughter, because I’m the only girl of 2 boys… again making me their spoiled favorite sister. I’m the best mom in the whole wide world in the eyes of my ever dearest loyal daughter Sophia. :) I’m the luckiest girl because I’m surrounded with loving people who stick with me through thick and thin.

But hey I love them a whole lot too and I sure do spoil them all with 101% loving.
I am a working yet hands on mom. I’m a mom who can’t cook but really trying to learn for the “loves” of my life.

I love life and all the beautiful things it has to offer. I love it’s simplicity and complexities. I love hearing and reading stories, they inspire me. I love to write.I always have my magic notebook with me wherever I go, and jot down brilliant ideas and even the tiniest insignificant once, and try to implement them whenever I have time. Hey I only got one life and I don’t want to miss a thing.

I am the queen of Positivity… I don’t allow any negative things to consume me. I find it easier to smile than frown. I love to laugh, and I laugh my heart out. They say my sunny disposition is contagious, and I love that.

Snapshots of our Life: Week 6

February 5: Sophia is still sick, but at least today she's a bit better. We visited our humble (empty) house again bringing take out food from Jollibee, ate there played a little and daydream about how we want this house to become a warm home for the three of us. We are slowly building our dreams to reality.

February 6: I'm feeling fabulous at 30. Really I do. I never felt this young, just look at the cake mommy prepared for me, It's for 16th birthday only for a 30th version hahahaha....

I feel fabulous because I am surrounded by wonderful people and God has blessed me with sooooo much.

February 7: Yesterday an earthquake hit Cebu. T'was on my birthday. It scared the superwoman out of me. I got to face my fear upfront, and it wasn't such a nice feeling. I realized that day that material things doesn't really do much, in that few seconds what matters to me most is my LIFE and the safety of all the people I love.

I realized that we are not in control, that anything can happen in just a brink.... that time is precious. And in moments like this only our Almighty can save us.

February 8: Sophia's new favorite movie, Tangled.

You know if you are a mother, when you keep on watching Tangled and don't mind even if its already the nth time because your little girl loves it.

Thank you tita Rapunzel for making Sophia happy during her flu, you are the best babysitter so far :)

February 9: I had a special patient today, the brother of the owner of my grade school.

It felt weird... yay.

But I'm glad to be of service. :)

February 10: Happy 31st birthday to Cyndril. Kapyot na ka sa calendar. hehehe...

I love you garl....

February 11: Sophia feels better already.... I'm soooo happy. Seeing her sick is so sad.

Thanks to my brother Kuya for taking care of Sophia. You are one of her best playmates now.

Birthday Cake

An earthquake hit Cebu last February 6. On my 30th birthday.

It was horrifying but more on that on my next post, I'm still too shaken with the experience and honestly we still feel a little of its aftershocks. I hope it will go away soon. SOONEST.

"Ate, The world surprised you with an earthquake for your birthday, Fireworks are too boring na daw."

At least, that made me laugh.

Despite the tsunami scare, my mom prepared a cake for me. Seeing it on the table made my heart clap for joy.

Pink cake, with colorful tops... ah... I so miss this cake. Nothing beats a home baked cake made out of love. I used to have cakes like this when I was younger. And it's so nice of my mom to prepare one for me. It brings back good childhood memories.

This is an inexpensive cake, but this cake means Happiness to me. Whats a birthday without a cake right? The best present I got so far. Thank you mommy for making me feel like a kid again. :)

Snapshots of our Life: Week 5

January 29: Lappy died on me today, again! I woke up early as usual check on Lappy but she just froze on me. As in dead. :(

Not knowing what to do, I went back to our room and saw my two lovies soundly asleep, it brightened my worried day. So instead of wasting my time thinking on how to fix lappy again, knowing how clueless I am, I crawl back to sleep and cuddle my lovies. It's Sunday, and it's officially our "Lab Lab day"

January 30: Tito Carl ( to Sophia), Cacarl (to me) is 23 today. My dear baby cousin is not so baby anymore, time flies in a flash, I swear I could still remember him wearing his nappies.

Thank you Cacarl for fixing lappy yesterday. You are my hero. :)

Happy happy birthday dear cousin. Ate Carla loves you and even if you're already 30, you'd forever be Cacarl to me. :)

January 31: Sophia and daddy are hooked with this new jumbo crayons I bought for Sophie. She now knows, colors and shapes. Good job you two :)

February 1: Double birthday celebration, Me (feb 6) and Dr. Te (January 30) with our CHSI family. God blessed me with wonderful people to work with everyday for the past 4 years. Special thanks to Tita Weny for preparing the food that day.

February 2: Playtime with my Sophia is by far my most awaited time of the day. Today, we played with her dolls, she was carrying "baby" reading her books like how me and her daddy reads to her. Teaching her about shape and colors, mimicking her daddy. And then she puts her to sleep, singing and dancing like mommy.

Now, we just really have to be very careful with our actions and our words because she can really imitate us perfectly like a parrot.

February 3: My baby girl turned 1 year and 9 months today. This calls for a celebration. Pizza!!!

February 4: One of the reason why I'm glad I have a baby girl... I can just go kikay on her. This little kikay is unfortunately sick, I had to leave for work to take care of my baby girl. At least the red paint brightened her day I hope she gets better really soon, because she's already losing weight.

Sour Cream Box: for my Valentine Goodies

I Love February. It's my birth month and it's full of cheesiness and love.

For this month, I'm planning to spread love and sweetness to all my lovies and the children in the street who are, maybe feeling less loved. Making an extra move as simple as it is, goes a long way. I'm giving sweet candies and chocolates and I'm putting it inside this very easy yet cute box.

Of course, You've seen this around the web, it's very popular because it's very easy to make. Here's how I did it.

The Materials:

Stockcard- my card was originally an A3 in size, I just divided it into 4.
Double Sided tape
Scissors
Crimper (optional)
Goodies

Simple Steps:

1. Turn the paper with the wrong side up.

Put adhesive to only three sides of the rectangle, as shown below.

2. Roll your paper, so it will look like the pulp of your empty toilet paper. Like this:

3. Press close the bottom of your sourcream box. leaving the top part open.

4. Put in your goodies... The sweeter the better... :)

5. Press and seal the top part of your box. Make sure you seal it the opposite way as the bottom so it will give you a twist.

Like this:

6. This last step is really optional. If you have a crimper, go ahead and crimp for nicer finish effect. If you don't have one, it will still look cute and nice, don't worry.

So there you have it, an easy to do box for your goodies this valentines. You can embellish it as you please to suit whatever occasion. I'm sure your love ones will appreciate little gift like this. Go give this and make that someone smile....

Snapshots of our Life: Week 4

January 22: At Nathan's First Birthday. We were late for the party, twas a very busy day for us, we already started with our "Carmella Project" but at least we made it to the party. :)

January 23: This is our very own Image of our Sto Nino and we blessed our Nino today. We will soon bring Him to our new home.

January24: I finally found time to craft. It's almost Valentines and this sour cream container will sure be a hit to my sweet tooth lovies, Kuya I and even my dad :)

January 25: Sophia and I were playing models... She grabbed the cam and took photos of me. This is the only photo where my body parts are complete. I'm going to keep this and treasure this photo. This is special because Sophia took it.

January 26: What's up with this week? It's so tiring... So many stressors. I went home today and the moment I saw the bed snoozed. 15 minutes later I found my baby waking me up, telling me it's time to brush her teeth. I'm telling you this girl is so amazing.

January27: The Vergara's despidida party. I'm happy for Muffin' her dreams are finally taking shape, I don't want to be emotional about it but I am. I'll be missing you guys. You take care Muffin' for the 3 of us left here in cebu, Magkita kita sad ta oi!

January28: We dropped all the errands for the day and played with Sophia. Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing your child's face light up of happiness. Now, we are planning to have more playdates with her.

Playtime with Sophia: Dave's Funhouse

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way" :)

We had a great weekend last week, Me and hubby played with our little girl at Dave's Funhouse. We went to the mall to window shop for new air condition and do a few errands since the weekends are the only free time we have to do all that. Of course, Sophia tagged along. We bring her anywhere we go if we don't have work since it's also the only time we get to spend with her longer.

When we passed by Playroom, it almost break my heart to see Little S looking at the other kids who were playing inside. She was pressing her cute little face at the glass walls, her eyes were glued to the toys and she pointed out "Look Mommy. Friends (pointing at the kids)"

Sophia is our only child and the only kid she plays with is Kuya I, my brother's son who is already 9 years old, sometimes they get along sometimes not, Kuya I is already in the stage of acting and feeling like "they know it all" and he thinks Sophia is a baby and too small to be a playmate. They are "loving cousins" but just couldn't relate with each other when it comes to playing, which explains Sophia's excitement to play with other kids her age or at least closer.

I want our girl to grow up normally, play and associate with other kids. So, we dropped all the "to do list" for the day and registered Sophia at Dave's Funhouse and registered ourselves too, to play with her. Thankfully they allowed us to get in because some would only allow one guardian per child inside.

They are located at the SM Northwing 2nd floor. Near Smile and Dental Spa.

We paid 80 pesos for 30 minutes. Plus 15 each for Me and Maury. We bought socks for 25 pesos since they require it inside. If you want to go here, I suggest you bring your own socks because the ones they have are in my own opinion overpriced for a super fine socks.

But, I like how clean the place is and I like that they have friendly stuffs who assisted us and who acts as referees when the playing gets too harsh.

The play set-up is like a mini village complete with a fire station, police station, hospital, house, salon, market and fast food chain.

Our 30 minutes playtime was all worth it. She had a great time I can tell because she was always hugging and kissing me and Maury after. That night, I had a good sleep. I was very tired, more tired than Sophia, she was still very energetic until 10 pm. Gosh, I need to exercise to keep up with my two active lovies. Maybe because I'm already turning 30 this week. hmmmmm...

How I wish money grow on trees so I don't have to work and hubby too, so we can spend time with Sophia.

Just a wishful thinking...

The Big 3-0: Oyster Bay

My Birthday is on February 6. But my birthday celebration has already started.

Last friday Jan. 20, I celebrated my 30th birthday with my dear friend Ann who turned 30 herself last Jan 7, we met halfway to celebrate together along with good friends who are like family to both of us.

Ann and I have been friends for 6 years now, we started as dentist associates and now we are business partners but more than that we are very very good friends, heck I see her more than Maury, so we're basically family, we are sisters. I only have few friends but I'm so proud to say that I'm surrounded with wonderful people who cares and loves me. Ann is one of those friends, I can tell her anything good or bad and she knows I only mean well and it's vice versa. No pretentions, we can tell each other anything and we know we are not judged.

Yes we are 30... and fabulous still... Remember age is just a number. :)

We dined in at Oyster Bay. I love it there, especially when you are going to do a lot of catch up with friends. It has a good ambiance, a beach set up with coconut trees, sands, a lagoon and sharks. Yes sharks but only small ones and harmless.

I'll give you a little tour first.

Tables with umbrellas are located nearest to the lagoon where the sharks are. The floor is covered with white sands. If you want to have a romantic date with Hubby, this place is really nice, you can star gaze together, have private sweet conversation and when 7:30 pm comes for fish feeding, you can go ahead and feed them together.

You can choose where to eat, they have tables inside the air conditioned room which can accommodate 80 people, or you can dine al fresco style like we did.

Since Cebu is still hype with Sinulog, thus their centerpiece.

We were a group of 8 and we all fit in their low, orange, and very comfy couch. (which I wanna take home together with the outdoor table with umbrella)

Me: As in. I can't believe I'm 30, I still feel like I'm 21...

I remembered when I was still 23 fresh from Dent School, fresh from passing the licensure exam, I would have all my patients age 30 up to have their BP's taken. They always give me a shocking face, dropped mouth "WHAA"

I always ask them if they have maintenance drugs for Hypertension and Diabetes, again the shocking face and dropped mouth "WHAT"

Now, I'm 30 and I understand. 30 isn't that old pa diay noh? hahahaha...

Last Monday, we went to have the image of our Sto Nino blessed at no other than Basilica Minor del Sto Nino.

We are going to move to our new home very very soon. And our Nino will be going with us, that's why we have the image blessed ahead of time.We are just taking one step at a time, I will blog about it more on the next few days so I can go and share it with you and maybe you can give me advices because I'm really open to it.

Everytime we go to Sto Nino Church I always ask hubby to take pictures of the Magellan's Cross which is just beside the church, I don't know I just wanna feel like a tourist of my own place hehehehe... As I was making this post I saw few pics of last year at the same place and I compared it to our new pic and I can't help feeling emo again, because my Sophia is a grown up... (exage) but really she has grown.

This was her at 9 months old, with only two lower incisors, who can't walk without me holding her.

This is her now. 1 year and 9 months old.

It took me great efforts to get this girl and have pictures with me. And she already has complete set of temporary teeth. And she can now run and loves to play chase... hahays...

Anyways, we went to SM Cebu after, and we happened to see Dragon dancers in celebration for the Chinese New Year. Sophia enjoyed the dance and was even dancing too, she enjoyed it a lot until we decided to take photos with the dragon.

I was born 1982 the year of the Dog.

Oi, I like what it says ha. I'm decent and honest. Plus it looks like I will have a good year this year.

Hubby was born 1980 the year of the Monkey.

Our little Sophia was born 2010. The year of the Tiger. GRRRR...

I don't know about this my baby is still small and it's way too heavy for her to take on leadership. But this sure does sound like a strong Zodiac Sign to me.

We got hungry chasing Little S who's following the dragon dancers but don't want to go near them, so we filled our hungry stomach with our fave Filipino food at one of our fave resto Chikaan sa Cebu.

All I can say is lami. We ordered Calamares, Pork Belly, It was my first time to eat Pinakbet and I actually enjoyed the food, and Tinolang Isda because Sophia loves soup and fish. Just like her dad. Me, I'm such a pork person. But this year I'm going to cut on the meat. Good Luck on that.

The guys from the other table were complimenting Sophia, they were so amazed on how our one year old eats by herself. I'm even amazed how independent she is, she doesn't want to be fed that's why she learned to eat on her own at an early age.

I love long weekends, I get to spend time with my lovies but comes tuesday and I miss them bigtime.
