A good jump start! My first post for the year and man NOW it is awesome here,a special thanks to my friend Ian for helping me out creating a new look for my newly renovated blog, it is awesome to work on an organized and cool environment and I am really looking forward to finally be active in posting here, I missed sharing my thoughts and my personal perspective about life, love and anything under the sun.

It has been three years since my first thought unravel here and looking back it is all worth it. To all my readers expect more post this year, THOUGHTS OF JUAN will be rolling again and fill the long overdue of not posting anything here. Join me in my journey and let me share “THOUGHTS OF JUAN”

A Different Christmas

Before everyone begins their countdown, I am expecting a different Christmas this year. Since my little brother left for UK to study last September I know that this Christmas would be a different Christmas from what we used to celebrate and yes, my assessment did not fail me. Sending someone to London to study would be an exorbitant cost and the fact that someone dear to you and close to you would be in another place in the world and celebrate Christmas apart is so much painful.

When this season comes, it is my youngest brother and I always do the decoration every year. I would do the lights, while he was holding on the tools for me. I do the Christmas tree while he was preparing for the decoration to put on it. He would do some decorations while I do criticize his works (haha). On the eve of Christmas I would do the cleaning and he would do the cooking (he is a HRM graduate by the way). It is my lil bro who would help me do my Christmas shopping and doing a great help in expanding my meager budget every Christmas for my inaanak’s, and looking for clothes to wear on simbang gabi on the eve of Christmas. It is always my lil bro who would help me to look for gifts on our family’s monitor/monita. I remember last year, my monito is my Dad, and we looked all over the mall to look for an appropriate shirt for him.

But this year is a different Christmas for us; I do the Christmas tree alone, no flickering lights outside our house because only to find out that the lights aren’t working anymore (hindi marunong makisama, eh). And since we have theme this Christmas “thrift Christmas” we did not bought any new lights. While my lil’ bro is in London and while I am here is a very new set up for me. Because of sending my lil bro to UK would mean a different Christmas this year. No more Christmas shopping, no new clothes to wear on simbang gabi, no lavish meal on noche Buena, no monito/monita this year. But I not complaining, in fact I am so much happy. I am happy because finally our bunso is expanding his horizon and doing a name for himself.

There may be material deprivation this Christmas and the family is again not complete for this season (my Ate and lil bro is both in London while we are here in the Philippines), But I consider this Christmas a very memorable Christmas because I am learning so much from this. When I think of Christmas I always perceive it with gifts, party, material stuffs, awesome foods but Christmas should be perceive beyond this. It should be perceived with love, giving and forgiving. It is not important on what new clothes you wear on Noche Buena, it is not important how big are the gift you receive, but there is so much more than this. It is how you give love selflessly, though it is now easy but that is what makes sense. Loving, giving and forgiving someone without expecting in return is the true meaning of Christmas. And experiencing it first hand is a great tool for learning. I am so thankful for having a supportive Ate, she brought my lil bro with her to study there in London. Bringing my lil bro to London, I think is the best gift she has ever given. It is not a material thing but it is a gift we could never forget of. Also I am thankful to my parents for extending support, without also their help, I think things would be much harder. Yes, it is a family effort and we all do this out of love, a selfless love. Though it may result to pagtititipid among us but it is all worth it. This Christmas is a different Christmas and thank you my Lord for this.

I know we are experiencing few rocks and bumps but we can surpass this, because God is always with us and we trust him. Besides his continuing education is also an investment and I cannot wait for the day to call him Chef Jay (looking forward for that Bro). Education is an investment no one can argue with that. Now I am learning something from this, the true meaning of Christmas. Happy Birthday Jesus.

From THOUGHTS to LENS

As you can see my blog has been inactive for a while, compare to previous years my post has been deteriorating, talk about writers block and Law School which prevents me from posting anything here. Contemplating on how to solve this problem I suddenly realize, why not incorporate photos here? Yes, it would be a nice idea to post my photo's here, I am now exploring the world of photography and posting it here would be an awesome idea.

Sometimes words and actions, aren't easy to decode, Keeping Up, Sa tingin ni Juan, are my post that used mainly pictures, these pictures are taken using a point-and-shot camera and still it looks awesome, before i dreamt of having a DSLR and now I have one (given my sister) and posting my pictures would create a new innovation on my sleeping blog.

Here are the sample shots I have, hope you like it guys.

This is Pentax MZ-6 also given by my sister, this SLR loaded by the traditional film has helped me to explore more the wonder of SLR cameras, soon i will post my pictures here taken by this pentax camera.

The photos above are my first pictures using my DSLR, and yes, I am happy with the result. I know I have so much to learn and with the minimal resources I have (i need a new camera lens etc.) I need to read and explore more of this new found hobby.

A writers block

I am currently working on a post for two days now, I don't know I just could not find the exact ingredients to make my entry worth reading. I could not find the exact words to express my inner thoughts. Do you know the feeling of having so many thoughts in your head and when you start to put those thoughts into words suddenly the thought looses?

There is much to talk about the world, about life, about love and about life's lesson but why I am so lost for words? Yes, I am excited again to put so many entries in this blog but how come now I am losing for words? where are they?

I started to search the web about "writers block" when I was still a student journalist i barely experience writers block it may be because I am loving the pressure and I was also surrounded by a bunch of brilliant senior student journalist who always inspire fellow writer.

Here's what I have searched on WIKIPEDIA : Writer's block is a condition, primarily associated with writing as a profession, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work. The condition varies widely in intensity. It can be trivial, a temporary difficulty in dealing with the task at hand. At the other extreme, some "blocked" writers have been unable to work for years on end, and some have even abandoned their careers. It can manifest as the affected writer viewing their work as inferior or unsuitable, when in fact it could be the opposite.

Causes of writer's block

Writer's block may have many or several causes. Some are essentially creative problems that originate within an author's work itself. A writer may run out of inspiration. The writer may be greatly distracted and feel he or she may have something that needs to be done beforehand. A project may be fundamentally misconceived, or beyond the author's experience or ability. A fictional example can be found in George Orwell's novel Keep The Aspidistra Flying, in which the protagonist Gordon Comstock struggles in vain to complete an epic poem describing a day in London: "It was too big for him, that was the truth. It had never really progressed, it had simply fallen apart into a series of fragments."

Other blocks, especially the more serious kind, may be produced by adverse circumstances in a writer's life or career: physical illness, depression, the end of a relationship, financial pressures, a sense of failure. The pressure to produce work may in itself contribute to a writer's block, especially if they are compelled to work in ways that are against their natural inclination, i.e. too fast or in some unsuitable style or genre. In some cases, writer's block may also come from feeling intimidated by a previous big success, the creator putting on themselves a paralyzing pressure to find something to equate that same success again. The writer Elizabeth Gilbert, reflecting on her post-bestseller prospects, proposes that such a pressure might be released by interpreting creative writers as "having" genius rather than "being" a genius In George Gissing's New Grub Street, one of the first novels to take writer's block as a main theme, the novelist Edwin Reardon becomes completely unable to write and is shown as suffering from all those problems.

In her 2004 book The Midnight Disease: The Drive to Write, Writer's Block, and the Creative Brain, the writer and neurologist Alice W. Flaherty has argued that literary creativity is a function of specific areas of the brain, and that block may be the result of brain activity being disrupted in those areas.

Now I am thanking this "writers block" and wikipedia now I have my first entry this August.

GOING BACK

I could not remember the exact reason on why I haven’t post anything for so long here, this post would be a long overdue. There are so many factors before that prohibited me from posting anything, I have been busy in Law School and again my desktop have been crushed for the nth time good thing I have my laptop whom now I would depend on.

Yes, I missed sharing my thoughts and my personal perspective about life, love and anything under the sun. .Many things had happened to me and gradually I will share it the blogworld. Reading my old post, I could not help but asked myself, did I post this? And I just said to myself “oh it was a good one, I must be proud having this entry”. Having this blog is a good medium to express your views about life that could possibly be read by anyone in any place, I am neither a celebrity nor a politician and my small voice could not be heard by many but having a small place in this humungous world of internet is a testimony that still YOU CAN BE HEARD no matter how small you may be. Who knows someday this blog will be recognized and will be featured in ANC or CNN? :)

Finally, the Thoughts of Juan will be rolling “AGAIN” and I will make it sure that I will fill the gaps of being silent for awhile. I may not be a good writer and a blogger but I will make sure that every entry would be worth reading.

Another Juan

I am planning to have the opening salvo post soon after my final exam because Thoughts of Juan have been quite inactive for awhile but another Juan has just marked another milestone in our history. Super Typhoon Juan has just make its landfall in Isabela at around 11:45am October 18, 2010.

According to a typhoon tracker whom I meet on twitter, Super Typhoon Juan's landfall http://yfrog.com/j5ft7g is a historic one since it is one of the strongest typhoon ever recorded, according to Japan Meteorological Agency 11 am Phil. time update: 230 kph, 885 hPa. Would be world record pressure at landfall.

On the sideline of HISTORY

Last Wednesday as the nation brings President Cory Aquino to her final rest, the entire nation witness another event that will be forever marked in our history and those who have witnessed the event and those hundreds of thousands of people who have joined the funeral march would surely noticed the four HONOR Guards. I was amazed how these HONOR GUARDS endured the nine hours of standing attention as they guard the casket of President Cory.

Stamina, endurance, as well as mental and emotional preparedness these has all been tested as they endured the long nine hours of funeral march. According to PDI "The nine-hour service was, by far, the longest to be rendered nonstop by any individual honor guard in recent history, according to Lt. Col. Romeo Brawner Jr., spokesperson of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)."

These four HONOR Guards are :Police Officer1 (PO1) Danilo Malab Jr. of the Philippine National History; Private First Class (PFC) Antonio Cadiente of Philippine Army; Airman 2nd Class (A2c) Gener Laguindam of Philippine Airforce and Petty Officer 3 Edgardo Rodriguez of Philippine Navy. Kudos to these four HONOR Guards and they are all on the sideline of HISTORY and they are all instant celebrity. (They are all on the cover of every newspaper yesterday... Sikat na sila). A very noble task indeed. A snappy Salute to the four of you!

Maraming Salamat at Paalam

Last Night I got home at around 11:00 in the evening, after our class my classmate decided to have a bottle of beer and a coffee after, I got home late because we have too many conversation about the current issues and news in our country. As soon as I arrived home I turn on the TV and watched Bandila.

Around 1:00 am, I am still awake thinking how we are moved by the former President Cory Aquino. I was one year old when People Power has occurred, I have no idea on what is like during Martial Law except on what I have read on books and what the movie depicts. I was a kid when the administration of Aquino assumes the government.

And today the entire nation will bring President Cory Aquino to its final rest. I was moved by the people's love to the former President. I may never be around during the those darkest days of our nation where we are oppressed and repressed by a dictator but what was happening today made me realize, how these people restore to bring back the democracy and how Ninoy sacrifice himself for this nation, as well as how Cory continue the fight and as she assume the office she restored DEMOCRACY.

Yes, I know the value of Constitution, it is the paramount law to which other law must confer. I have studied and learned my Political Law and Consti I but as the advent of event, it helps me feel the love behind the creation of this fourth fundamental law that governs our country. This Constitution, because of President Cory restored our democracy. It made me realize now that studying the law is not just continuing my childhood dream but it made me more realize that I am into law school to have my share with our country, to preserve the sanctity of democracy and to help those who are oppressed. I may not know President Cory personaly, but because of her story I was moved to be a better Pilipino.

We enjoy going home late without worrying for a curfew, we can watched news without any fear that it would favor the government and I can express my views and opinion in this blog These are the things that we enjoyed because of the legacy of President Cory Aquino. And we should wake up and continue to guard this legacy...

Thank you President Corazon Aquino and your legacy will continue on this generation and the generation to come!

Its been a year since I have posted The Beginning (a struggling entry). I am struggling blogger then, maintaining this site and groping for words that best fit my emotions. Yes, Its been a year of posting... Forty post, it may be few but these few articles are the product of my heart that put into words, all my thoughts, emotions, the struggles, my highs and lows, my goals and the long pursuit of my dreams; all i have put it in here.

I could help but reminisce everything I have put in here. Looking back made me realize how much I have learned in my journey called life. Reading these entries, Over the waves, Kumplikado = Complicated, Hibernate, TOPSY-TURVY made me realize that behind the lows in life you always manage to survive (always). Some of my favorite entries are 1+1 = ?, The thin lines between LIES AND TRUTH, and the "SA TINGIN NI JUAN" installments I , II and all my tagalog entries. At lahat ng nilagay ko dito, espesyal sa puso ko (Dear Ate).

Thank you to all my blog readers for following the journey of Juan, "THE THOUGHTS OF JUAN" though I am not a good writer you are there on every updates that I have. And to all my blog friends here keep blogging, keep inspiring us, I have created my own because I was inspired by all your post. TILL MY NEXT POST!!!!

Long Overdue and New Perspective

It's a while since I have my last entry here, so many things had happened and I could not keep up and document it all here. But first let me have this opportunity to THANK all those people who have greeted me on my birthday last June 26 here in my blog, FS, Facebook, YM and SMS, I thank you guys for remembering my Day. I am supposed to post something about my birthday entitled HAPPY BEERDAY but a day before my birthday my OS has been corrupted (talk about luck) and it was just recently that I have time to repair it. I celebrated my Day plain and simple, lunch with my family and after we watched Transformers, have some dinner with close friends in Law School, the next Day with the my Elementary friends, the other day with my Repa and the next day with another friends and it was a long BEERDAY celebration (hindi ko gastos lahat ha) I think that is the essence of celebrating your natal day, you celebrate it with the special people in your life.

It's raining outside where it forced me to stop and now I am making an entry.. ..
I am so busy in school with my usual old routine, but I am changing gear. Old goal but shifting to a new perspective. I am back to the gym right now, having a new haircut and implementing new techniques to study. Though I have the same old routines but I am shifting into a new gear and I am looking forward for a new learning's and insights this School Year.

A Year Older

A couple of days from now, I would be a year older. I could not help but contemplate and reflect on life, career, on things and what lies ahead of me. When another number has been added to your age, one could not help but have some reality check. Being at this stage when all my classmate's and friends are stable on their career and reaping their blessings, some have families with cute and adorable kids and yes these are the signs that we are already grown ups. Everytime I see my friends and classmates I have observed that everything about them seem’s all new, their stories and how their work goes and how their kids goes, and how they are starting with their new life with their own family, every words they used seems everything about them has change.... And I am happy to hear all of these

I realized that I have the same old school stories and routines, I guess. Being a student for quite some time now where I am so much used to budget my allowance every week, I am used to have a classes from Monday to Saturday and enjoy the schools' sem breaks and summer vacation... But I am not saddened by this fact. Things may seem’s old (routines) but as days passes by and when you are getting older, wiser day by day I have conclude that what I have right now is a gift given by my parents, my family, I may be so independent with them, financially, the support and the likes but soon I will reap what I sow and that time It would be my turn to give back and have my contribution in the family…

I am excited these week not just my Day is about to come but also I am excited for the opening of Transformers 2, I wasnt able to watch the first one on big screen, because of that I bought my own copy of it and save it on my Ipod. Speaking I have so many wishes on my Day but not the material one but if someone would give me a DLSR i would gladly accept it. Untill my next post.

Matagal nang pudpud ang mga katagang ito. Nalala ko na lang ulit ang mga ito sa mga liriko ng bagong kanta ni Rico Blanco. Nawala ang blanko sa isip ko sa aspetong ito at unti-unting bumuhos ang mga lohika sa utak ko (Aba, genius ah parang falls ang paglagaslas ng Thoughts ni Juan,haha).

Sabi nga ni Pareng Rico "Tadhana'y merong tip na makapangyarihan. Kung ayaw may dahilan, Kung gusto palaging merong paraan

Hindi po ako impokrito, GUILTY din ako sa mga bagay na ito. Di ko na rin kailangan dumako pa sa Kabilang Ibayo upang ipakita dito ang mga ideyang ilalahad ko sa blog kong ito.

Pare were going out, ano sama ka?

Di pwede eh! I have still exam tomorrow and I have a lot of readings to do (hehe plastic).

Kahit di naman busy sa school, gumagawa ako ng paraan para di ako makasama. Dahil sa ganito, dahil may gagawin pa ako, dahil, dahil at marami pang dahil (dahilan).... Minsan di ko rin naman masisi ang sarili ko, sa gaya kong estudyante limitado lang ang kilos ko, aba gastos kaya gumimik, PERO IKA NGA PAG GUSTO ME PARAAN.

Pag ayaw nating makita, makaharap o makausap ang isang tao, napakaraming dahilan sa mundo na kaya nating ma-isip sa loob lamang ng isang segundo upang di natin makita, makaharap o makausap man lang ang taong ito... pero kung gusto natin siyang harapin, harangan ka man ng sampung sibat eh walang makapipigil sa iyo, makapag Hi ka man lang, o makapag Hello man lang o makita man lang ang kanyang anino lahat gagawin mo.

Kung gusto ng taong masama na maging mabuti o vice-versa sa aking palagay KAYA NYA ITONG GAWIN. Napakarami naman kasing dahilan o paraan upang magawa ang mga bagay na nais mo.

Hmmmm... pero marahil marami ding aspeto o dahilan na nakakaapekto kaya nagagawa o hindi natin magawa ang mga bagay na gusto o ayaw mo. Ika nga lagi talaga atang may exception to the rule. Humihingi rin ng paumanhin si Juan hindi kayang marurok na aking kaisipan ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito.

When I was a kid I know that the Independence Day is about to come when our Teacher started to assign us to bring color paper of red, blue, yellow and a white typewriting...

Only recently I have discovered that our country has been through six declarations of independence. This fact was based on my favorite author Ambeth Ocampo on his LOOKING BACK book, I have decided to brush up my history due to the forthcoming Independence Day. But the famous declaration whom we all know is the fourth declaration of independence which was proclaimed from the window of Aguinaldo's house in Kawit Cavite on June 12, 1898 but this declaration was not recognized by Spain and the United States.

The sixth and the last declaration of Independence was that on July 4, 1946 is the one we used to celebrate before which US President Harry Truman has set the date for us. (This declaration is done after the World War II). And during the administration of President Diosdado Macapagal a nationalistic act has reverted back the Independence Day from July 4 to June 12 as the Philippines Independence Day and July 4 as the Filipino-American friendship day.

And as a kid my ardent passion for Philippine History has helped me to know the real essence and the core of being a FILIPINO. And I wonder, are the kids today know what are we celebrating tomorrow? I have this sad experience when I was a teacher back then, a few high school student of mine are so lazy when the Philippine Flag has been raised they could not even stand up properly and give respect to our country, so the result a huge uproar I have given to my student back in the classroom. Another sad apathy is that every time our National Anthem is played in the movie house some don't dare even to stand (what a sad thought).

I think we are still in fight for our Independence as long as there are people who neglect the value of independence that we are savoring. Independence has long been fought by our forefathers and we must value it with utmost respect because we are Pinoy we bow our allegiance to this Country.

Tommorrow is our 111th Year of Independece and as Pinoy, I AM PROUD TO BE ONE, OO PINOY AKO

I never quit, I NEVER DID

When I was a kid, I did not ask for too much, A five peso coin was enough for me to survive.

Like any other kids, I only have a pair of shoes who have accompanied me all throughout.

I was always towed by Mom who has happened to be also a public school teacher. She has helped me to achieve my full potential.

I was just a kid and I was too young when I did move out to study in the city.

I have only my older siblings to guide me because we were far from our Mommy and Daddy

When I was just starting out; I was new to these new environment.

I was into a Chinese-Catholic School were every kids are too smart and too white (like everyone is Coños).

I was always aloof I could not manage to keep up.

But I did survive and has prepared me to the next level and taught me so much about life.

College has helped me to develop my full potential, I was into publication and I did became a student leader.

And there is so many things i fumbled along my way.. girls, friends and gimiks are the obstacles I did encounter.

But my goal has becomes so concrete and had help me to define the future.

And I did finish a degree and this has helped me to take the next step higher.

Llb may seem so hard but this would not stop me to achieve my dream.

I have my highs and lows achieving this dreams. Digesting cases and reading tons of materials..

But unlike any other kids...

I NEVER QUIT SCHOOL, I NEVER DID...

School is cool, good luck to all those enrolled for the AY- 2009 -2010....

Medyo may pinagka-kaabalahan si Juan ngayong mga nakaraang araw, ika nga rumaraket. Mabuti na rin toh meron akong pambili ng mga libro sa nalalapit kong pasukan sa edad kong ito kasi dapat talaga nagtratrabaho na ako marami ngang nagtatanong "bakit ka pa pumapasok eh diba nakatapos kana?" at tanging NGITI lang ang isinusukli ko sa mga tanong nila.

Natanong ko na rin minsan sa aking sarili, teka me kabuluhan ba ang pagtupad ko sa aking mga pangarap? medyo napapag-iwanan na ako ng aking mga kasabayan, patuloy ko pa ring inaakyat ang daang walang masyadong dumadaan. Sila madami ng pera ako ni pisong duling wala... Habang sila ay nag hahapening ako naman ay gising sinusunog ang kilay ko ngunit wala namang pumapasok sa kokoteng kong ito. Pero ang tanging tumatanim sa isip ko isa itong prebiliheyo di lahat ng tao nagagawa ito. Alam kong may bunga lahat ng paghihirap kong ito ika nga kung ikaw ay may itinamin may aanihin, simpleng lohika diba? hindi pwedeng magbunga ng APPLE ang itinanim mong mangga. (ano un joke?).

Teka, bago ako lumihis sa tinutumbok ko (hindi po ito green,hehe) , rumaraket ako sa isang opisina sa gobyerno at medyo nag eenjoy ako, medyo may pagkakaiba ang gobyerno sa mga pribadong kumpanya, ito ay base sa maikling panahon, obserbasyon at karanasan ko sa mga pribadong kumpanya, iba na kasi ang naging tingin ko sa pribado ito ay nagsimula nung nasa kolehiyo pa lamang ako at kinunsumo ko ang 300 hrs ko sa ABS-CBN (opo kapamilya ako) at pagkatapos ay naging parte ng IT team sa isang mall pagkatpos ko ng kolehiyo. Pero sa palagay ko pribado man o gobyerno depende na sa isang empleyado kung pano siya madedevelop at uunlad sa uri ng trabaho na may roon siya. Maluwag man sa gobyerno at wala masyadong restrictions na hindi gaya sa pribado, at mas maluwag sa kwentuhan(tsimisan,hehe), tumambling o maghandstand ka man, sa tingin ko laging nasa tao ito.

Sa sandaling panahon ko pa lamang sa gobyerno sa palagay ko ay marami raming impormasyon na ang aking natutunan, ika nga di naman kasi lahat ng bagay ay naituturo sa paaralan, ang patuloy na pakikibaka mo sa buhay ang nagpapadagdag ng kaalaman sa tao. At ang mga karanasan din ito ang nagtuturo sa akin upang mas maging mapagkumbaba, hindi porket mas mataas na ang pinag aralan mo at narating, ay mas mataas kana kaysa sa iba, hindi ito pasaporte upang maging superior kana sa kanila. "Mas mabuti na yung mababa, iba ang matataas sayo".

Ilang linggo na rin lang matatapos na din ang raket ko at magsisimula na rin ang bago kong pakikibaka sa mga sujects kong nakakapraning, wala man akong masyadong pahinga sulit naman dahil may panibago akong natutunan. Isa din sa mga natutunan ko "MAHIRAP TALAGANG MAGING MAHIRAP SA PINAS".

Typhoon's in the midst of summer

This is the effect of global warming...

Cosme, Dante and Emong these are all typhoons that had hit our country in the midst of summer. Last night typhoon Emong lashes Northern Luzon and had left hundreds of Filipinos homeless, close to 20 people have died and some missing.

Strange it may seem I have never experience typhoons during the peak of summer, this is strange but who are to blame? We are now experiencing the effects of global warming and it is not too late we can do something. Conserve energy, go green, recycle, there are so many things that we can do, do your part.

The thin line between LIES AND TRUTH

Who among you does not ever lie? I would not raise my hand for I am guilty of this...

Little did I know that when I was a kid that LIES have color, but as I was growing up I learned that whether black or white both are still lies, only the latter are lesser evil than the former.

We have so many reasons why are lying. Maybe we want to escape an impending danger or protect someone/yourselves and your identity or maybe some people are lying because they want to feel good in the eyes of others or just a petty reasons that TO LIE is the best way to get out in a dilemma that you are into or maybe they lack the courage of telling the truth for self protection. And there are so many reasons out there on WHY are you lying and I am not one of those ( Am I lying? :>).

Are lies are little steps to a bigger problems? and why some people are good at it. Few months from now the filling of candidacy of those who will run for the 2010 election will now starts. And lies will soon again be seen on TV commercial, some of them are now already campaigning on TV. (Tsktsk that is too early). It is now hard to determine whether these politicians are telling lies or truth and It does not apply just to those politician but to all those people who are good in lying and because they are good in it you cannot identify whether it is the truth or just another lie. I know someone who is very good in it and I cannot help myself but to contemplate first before believing in him because I am so sick to all those lies that he make (I hope you will change).

Why is Jun Lozada persecuted for telling the truth? or his allegations against the government are all lies? Do I need to lie in the future because it is needed in my future profession? The lines between lies and truth are so thin that sometimes you cannot tell the difference. Yes, it is proven that lies and truth both co-exist.

I don't know where this tradition of Kubol here in our town did start (it would be my assignment). The pasyon the book which tells the life and suffering of Christ was being sung in every Kubol every night as the holy week start.

Keeping Up!

So many things had happen and my blog couldn’t keep up, there are so many reasons why.
I am currently using a wireless smart bro, yung bang may TVC na "I want to see the future of wireless broadband, un bang 1995 na lang" and with its speed it consumes more of my time and because its prepaid I have to make sure that once I have login I would do all the things I need to do, tight ang budget eh!
And my never ending final exams which officially run for two weeks, but these things would not stop me to have gimik on the side! hehe

Last week my parents, Jay (my youngest brother) and I went to Manila to have some "Family Bonding", we haven't done this thing for quite sometime now and we have so much fun. Cracking jokes while caught in traffic and having some shopping spree (este window shopping pala). I have decided to join despite the fact that I have still my final exam. I think I deserve a time out and having a long trip with the family that is priceless and far better than having night out with friends. I remember during my teen years were my friends are my priority then, my Dad once told me “Barkada mo nandyan lang pag hapi-hapi pero tandaan mo ang pamilya mo pa rin ang nandyan para sayo hanggang sa huli” and as time passed by I have figured out that my Dad is right. Yes, I am a certified homeboy these days, I am very content of just staying at home (dapat lang me PC ako, ipod, PSP at libro un sobrang ok na ako)

Next, out of the blue I went to a friends tattoo shop and have my henna. Last year in Bora I have an cool Dragon henna and now I have an equally cool chinese character henna.(mukhang ready na ako for summer ah!). A good thing about henna is that It fades and I am not yet ready for a real tattoo.

Tomorrow, I will be going to my domicile a two hour ride away from Lucena City and there I will spend my Holy Week (I will post pictures here on how we observed Holy Week). We have different Kubol (I will discuss it further on my next post).

To everyone have a blessed Holy Week and let us not forget to reflect, pray and repent for our sins, we have a long vacation and most of us will go out of town and enjoy the long break but let us not forget the true essence of why are we remembering the sufferings of Christ for this is the most important time and part of being a Christian.

Guilty!

Yes I am Guilty of not updating this site, I have so many things in mind and I dont have time to write it down and post it due to my ongoing finals which I am very much preparing but anyway to all those waiting for the Bar Exam results of 2008, it is official anytime this afternoon the Supreme Court will announced the list of the new lawyers who passed the Bar exam.

According the Supreme Court website, the Justices will meet today at 9 a.m. to deliberate on the passing percentage.

Here is the news from the SC:

"The results of the 2008 Bar examinations will be released by the Supreme Court En Banc this Friday, April 3. The SC Justices will meet at 9 a.m. that day to deliberate on the passing percentage.
Justice Dante O. Tinga, Chairperson of the 2008 Committee on Bar Examinations, said the list of the names will be displayed in LCD projectors to be strategically displayed at the Supreme Court front yard near its Padre Faura entrance. The results can be viewed simultaneously at sc.judiciary.gov.ph, the official website of the High Court.
Figures from the Office of the Bar Confidant headed by Deputy Clerk of Court and Bar Confidant Atty. Ma. Cristina B. Layusa showed a total of record 6,364 law graduates from 109 law schools nationwide took and finished the exams held on September 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2008 at the De La Salle University in Taft Avenue, Manila.
A total of 6,550 law graduates have filed their petitions to take the 2008 Bar exams; a record 6,533 were admitted. The number decreased to still a record 6,364 after 158 examinees absented themselves from the tests during the first Sunday, while others have dropped out even during the four Sunday spread. Only 6,364 were able to finish up to the fourth Sunday of the exams, Atty. Layusa said.
The Rules of Court provide that “a candidate may be deemed to have passed his examination successfully if he has obtained a general average of 75% in all subjects without falling below 50% in any subject.” In determining the average, subjects in the examinations are given the following relative weights: Political and International Law, 15%; Labor and Social Legislation, 10%; Civil Law, 15%; Taxation, 10%; Mercantile Law, 15%; Criminal Law, 10%; Remedial Law, 20%; and Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises, 5%, for a total of 100%."

*Whats new (Anong Bago?) This is my fourth tagalong post and I am sorry to all my readers(if there's any) for the long delay and for not updating this blog, I have stated my reason here.

Marami na ring nagtatanong sakin kung bakit hanggang ngayon ay di ko na maupdate itong blog ko (maraming salamat kahit paano pala ay may sumusubaybay sa munti kong espasyo sa napalaking web world na ito). Humihingi naman ako ng paumanhin sa mga idol kong bloggers na nasa aking blog roll dahil hindi talaga ako makapag laan ng panahon upang makapagbasa ng inyong mga post pero di ako nag-alaala dahil sa nalalapit na bakasyon mababasa ko ang lahat ng iyon. Marami rin kasing dahilan, kung bakit di ko ma-update ang munti kong mundo dito sa web world isa na sa mga dahilan ay ang malaking oras na ginugugol ko sa pag-aaral ko ng batas pero mukha namang walang pumapasok sa munti kong kukute, ewan ko ba? Ginawa ko ng matulog na nasa ilalim ng unan ko ang lahat ng libro ko pero tila walang epekto, bakit kaya? Hehe. Meron ba kayong tip? Kailangan ko pa sigurong dagdagan ang sipag sa aking katawan. Hindi rin naman kasi biro itong aking kurso may pangarap kasi akong gusting tuparin.

Matagal na ring Idle itong blog ko siguro dahil na rin wala akong maisip na mailagay na papantay sa mahalagang oras na ibibigay ninyo sa pagbasa nito, okupado na rin kasi ang utak ko ng napakaraming bagay.

Sa totoo lang marami naman talagang bagay na pwede mong ikwento, bawat araw na dumadaan ay isang kwentong dumadagdag sa pahina ng ating buhay at sa bawat pagdaan ng araw ang lahat ng ito ay dumadagdag sa ating talaan ng nilalaman. May yugto na magsisimula at matatapos at panibagong yugto na naman ang magsisimula. Napakaraming kwentong ibinubulong sa ating buhay at sa palagay ko’y mainam na tayo ay umupo at itala ang ating mga natutunan. Sa kagaya nating bloggers may blog tayong paglalagyan ng ating makukulay na kwento.

Bawat umaga, sa ating pag-gising ay panibagong kwentong na namang magbubukas na dadagdag sa kabanata ng ating buhay, may kabanatang kailangang tapusin at may kabanata ng ating buhay din namang itutuloy at mayroong kabanatang di natin alam kung kelan matatapos. Bawat araw na lumalakad ay bawat kwentong huhubog sa bawat pahina ng ating buhay.

Kaya heto nag-sisimula na naman magformulate (wow para naman akong scientist ah!) sa aking utak ang mga kwento ng paglalakbay ni Juan at abangan ang pagtatala ko ng bawat kwento ko dito sa aking blog.

*I am not well as I was posting this entry, nilalagnat at inuubo ako I think because of the ever changing weather. I have weak immune system these days because I always sleep late, reviewing my lessons and digesting ample cases but don’t worry guys a good and enough rest will help me to recover fast (I am pressured coz 3 weeks from now our Finals will start).

Weekend getaway!

Our two week long midterm has ended last Saturday and somehow we are relieve that it is through but not for long the results would be given soon.

My former classmate Tina (she is now already in third year) has invited me to come and join their outing together with my fourth year friends, and with out any hesitation I abruptly said "yes". I miss them and this is the right time to reconnect with them (since I cannot do it on a regular basis since they are much busy than I am).

Despite of my absence in the scene for quite some time due to my hibernation, the talks and the laughter that we have seems that I have never gone at all. We stayed awake until the wee hours of the morning, the stories are never ending and the ideas keep on pouring.

I guess we deserve this break since we are too busy this past few weeks.
