RYELEE — THE BESTEST PUPPY DOG EVER HAS A PEACEFUL EXIT AT EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD

Our bestest friend and puppy in the world, Ryelee, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the evening of 9/26/2025, peacefully at home after a brief but rapid decline over the prior two days.

His decline began sometime before breakfast yesterday. Thankfully he died at home without pain or visible suffering; and without euthanasia. Apparently, his “batteries” just ran out of charge.

Rye was really special. Barked a lot to show excitement and happiness, but he never bit us — except in enthusiastically grabbing treats from our hands — and never showed distemper or anger toward us. Never growled a warning at us for anything other than a perceived threat against us from strangers. If meekness is a virtue worth emulating, he was the living model of it. He was a true field dog and “hunter” — specialties in geese, deer, and groundhogs. We rescued him from a group of “angels” just south of West Point when (as we were told) he was eight on October 28, 2015. That makes him eighteen years old — though the vets kept reducing his age the older he got because they couldn’t believe how healthy and full of life he was.

Anyway in preparing to drive his remains to a veterinary hospital for cremation, we were looking for toys to include, but truthfully we were his toys and all he ever wanted to be with.

You should all know what a good, good boy he was, and how much joy he brought to our lives. (Tucker, our other pup, is noticeably bummed to now be the Number One dog without having any longer to contend for it.)

* The goal is to encrypt thought in such a way as to pose a challenge to break the encryption and thereby unleash the full force of thought.

* I want to host a party of ideas where the guests become intoxicated with thought — vats of which never run dry, and don’t cause hangovers. It would be a wonderful all-nighter.

* Conceit might be a form of introspection. In the end, it is also a form of insecurity from realization of an inherent inability to see things other than your own center.

* It is said, “Love begins in the home.”… Let that sink in. Then, looking in the mirror, question yourself. If you don’t love yourself; if you can’t solve your own problems, how can you solve those of the world? If you can’t take an honest look at yourself, and make an honest assessment on a regular basis about who you are, who else is going to see you for anything but what you are, like it or not?

* Faith is one of the three divine or theological virtues. Of those three (faith, hope, charity), charity (agape love) is proclaimed as the greatest. That should in no way diminish the greatness of faith as a transformative virtue for which we ought to strive with utmost determination.

Consider some of the benefits. Faith makes one’s words true if they are spoken in good faith, and if people can have faith in them. It engenders understanding anong people who, leaving distrust behind, can be believe in one another and learn to question one another with comprehension, not doubt.

Faith imparts strength: the strength to heal from disease when other remedies fail on their own; The strength to follow the proper course based on conscience despite the threat of persecution; the strength to follow the proper path and set aside the temptations of pleasure on the wrong path — not that you necessarily want to avoid all pleasures, just those attended by the vices (greed, lies, drunkenness, immodesty, lust, abuse of others) that can accompany indulgence in improper pleasures or intemperance.

Faith can lift one instantly from the depths of despair and place him in the light of a better place though he hasn’t even moved physically; just in spirit.

Faith provides the impetus to change course. Answers to the character of the future are found in the faith that forms it. Following natural law — that which unsaid is understood; God’s law written in our hearts forming our consciences, which we ignore to our hurt — we can establish a path to govern ourselves and the world. We need not probe the gray areas where good mixes with bad. We possess the map to traverse every step of our journey, and need only the faith to follow it faithfully.

Lord Jesus Christ, Blessed Mother Mary and Saint Joseph help, heal, protect, preserve and restore families (especially my family and those of my children); and the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church to the honor and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ in His Most Holy Name we pray.

As a father long estranged against my will and all justice from my children, I have known many tears and the spirit of ruin from all that was taken from me and them by the evil of division that was allowed among us. Whatever we knew or thought we knew about one another as a family is dwindled to me knowing only that I have children living whom I long to see, and they have a father they have never known.

Lord, if any of us live in Thy favor, for the honor of thy Name, please show forth Thy mercies unto us, and mend the rifts that divide us, heal the wounds that have troubled us for so many years, restore faith in one another, and familial love akin to the model Thou didst establish in Thy Holy Family. Save Thy people who cry unto Thee O Lord.

Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ and His Church as the only path to God and to eternal salvation

We unshakably believe and profess what the ordinary and universal Magisterium of the Church has continuously and infallibly taught since the time of the Apostles, namely:

That faith in Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God and only Savior of mankind, is the only religion willed by God.

After the institution of the new and everlasting Covenant in Jesus Christ, no one may be saved by adherence to the teachings and practices of non-Christian religions. Because "the prayer, which is directed to God, must be linked with Christ, the Lord of all people, the one Mediator

Tm 2:5; Heb 8:6; 9:15; 12:24) through whom alone we have access to God (Rom 5:2; Eph

18; 3:12)." (General Instruction of the Liturgy of the Hours, n. 6)

We firmly believe that "there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12), except the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead (cf. Acts 4:10).

We believe that it is "contrary to the Catholic faith to consider the Church as one way of salvation alongside those constituted by the other religions, seen as complementary to the Church or substantially equivalent to her, even if these are said to be converging with the Church toward the eschatological kingdom of God" (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Declaration Dominus lesus, 21).

We furthermore hold that Divine Revelation, faithfully transmitted by the Church's perennial Magisterium, forbids affirming:

That all religions are paths to God,

That the diversity of religious identities is a gift of God, and

That the diversity of religions is an expression of the wise will of God the Creator.

We hold, therefore, that Christians are not simply "travelling companions" along with adherents of false religions — which God forbids.

We fervently implore the help of Divine grace for all those churchmen today who, by their words and deeds, contradict the Divinely revealed truth about Jesus Christ and His Church as the only path by which men can reach God and eternal salvation. With the help of divine grace, may these churchmen be enabled to offer a public retraction, required for the good of their own soul and the souls of others.

For "not accepting Christ is the greatest danger for the world!" (St. Hilary of Poitiers, In Matth. 18).

By the prayers, tears and sacrifices of all the true sons and daughters of the Church, and especially of the "little ones" in the Church, may the Shepherds of the Church, and first and foremost Pope Francis, receive the grace to emulate the Apostles, countless Martyrs, numerous Holy Roman Pontiffs and a multitude of Saints, especially St. Francis of Assisi, who "was a Catholic and an entirely apostolic man, who set about personally and commanded his disciples to occupy themselves before everything else with the conversion of the heathen to the Faith and Law of Christ." (Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Rite Expiatis, 37)

We believe and, with God's grace, are ready to give our lives for this Divine truth pronounced by Jesus Christ: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).

My first wife, Lorraine, and I, had three daughters. Our unsuccessful marriage, maintained for eight years by giving the Roman Catholic model or theory of sacramental marriage the ol’ college try (despite unjust, unjustifiable, treacherous undermining of my Christ ordained headship of the family by Lorraine and her mother) was spent mostly separated from each other. During most of those years and some years afterward (until welfare reform in the Clinton administration) equitable administration of family law found me paying half my wages in child and spousal support in exchange for a few hours a week of visitation — first with my eldest and eventually but briefly with her and her sisters.

Things changed horribly when Lorraine escalated the treachery against me with false accusations of the most vile kind in order to take the kids to Kansas to place them in a traditional Catholic academy — a move I opposed because I was involved in a business startup and couldn’t move halfway across the country with them at that time.

Anyway, the outcome of the marital firefight and the nitty-gritty details of hell-on-earth packed into it, is that I have been estranged from my three daughters Regina, Renee, and Jessica (along now with their spouses and my grandchildren) for just over thirty years. My last conversation with Jessica was in 2004 when she was sixteen. With Renee it was a few years before that when she was also almost sixteen. The oldest, Regina, hasn’t spoken to me since she was six; she’s now forty-two.

So, with that as preamble to the predicament, I’m going to intermittently post here in this — my personal mind map — blog excerpts of notes I kept along the way of my visitations first with Regina (back in the day) and then with her and her sisters. The notes are going to be unedited — except for cropping — photo captures of the journal entries as written. If perchance my girls somehow find these and have some desire to speak again with me while I still walk this earth, I would be so grateful for that opportunity. Since Lorraine succeeded so well in making me dead to them after they left, I entrusted them entirely to the Lord from that time to make them whole and secure in being loved by a Father. If He should, in the time that remains to me, allow them to know the father He provided for them, who was erased from their lives by their mother’s motives and the unjust prejudices of the law in her favor, I would be most humbled by His generous blessing.

Orthodoxy and Dogmatic Teaching Are Built-In Corruption Resistance

For those who still care, and are looking still for guidance originating in and aimed at truth, the beauty of dogmatic teachings in the Church is that — once dogmatically defined — things mean what they’ve always meant. (Thus, for example, the dogma of the Assumption of Mary, the Mother of the Lord, was not cooked up in the 1950s when it was dogmatically defined. Rather, by that dogmatic decree the Church declared that the teaching has always been true, and must be believed — unless you want to call God a liar.)

In authoritative, absolute, teachings on moral matters this is especially significant. There’s just no honest way to pretend that what is called sin (because God calls it sin) somehow suddenly now isn’t sin because the definition of the word has evolved.

Dedicated sinners would always rather dial back on the meaning of sin than on their own appetite for sinfulness.

The Church is built on a Rock. It is meant to stand. It isn’t designed to shift or be reshaped by the forces it stands against that have always opposed it; and that futilely slam against it continually from every direction.

Standing with the Church has always been a sure defense of the faithful against the dangers of the storms that are in the world around it and them. The Church is not designed to bend, or to tumble to a new place, or be worn down by erosion into a new shape, or to wash away.

Prayer for Friends Who Are Facing Battle

[I am not a seminary trained preacher or teacher of God's word. I have no degrees in religious studies, or as a Doctor of Divinity. I do not know or understand the Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic languages -- and certainly not in the form or styles used at the time of the writing down of the sixty-six canonical Bible texts. I seldom delve into "original" language studies to understand God's word; using instead the Bible to prove the meaning of the Bible as taught in Isaiah 28:10;13: "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little... the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."

That said, the following are a collection of verses and possible conclusions -- not declared dogmatically by me -- but inviting consideration based upon inspiration during study and the "rabbit tracks" run thereafter. More can follow, in the infinitude of revelation available to us from what the Lord God has revealed to us for our necessary instruction already in His word (as contained pure in the King James Bible for English speaking people.)]

In the BEGINNING

Genesis 1:1 KJV

[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

(Not to add or subtract, or to change meaning, the sentence can literally be understood:

God created the heaven and the earth in the beginning.

(IN the beginning/ in the BEGINNING)

(Heaven and earth created in BEGINNING… suggests heaven and earth created in uncreated Beginning. First creations are heaven and earth. We understand the beginning is WHEN it happened. But in English “in” can also answer WHERE the creation took place.)

Further consideration (as above): since God created IN the BEGINNING, the BEGINNING pre-existed creation and is uncreated.

Then we read:

John 1:1 KJV

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

In the BEGINNING was the Word.

The Word was with God.

The Word was God.

Does logic permit us to understand there that the BEGINNING was with God?

So the BEGINNING WAS before creation, and was with God and was God. (logically derived)

And logic is confirmed by TRUTH:

Revelation 1:8 KJV

[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 22:13 KJV

[13] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

So we know “the BEGINNING” is in God and is God.

Then look:

Which agree with:

(AND also agrees with — from further on in John 1:

For further consideration, discussion and citation of scriptural truth (proposed in advance as true):

He exists.

He existed before creation.

He exists in the midst of His creation.

Some of His creation receives Him.

He makes His home with those who receive Him.

There are “many” who do not receive Him, who don’t do His works, who are not known by Him and left outside His presence at the last.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Our father, which art in heaven, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

(the Father is in heaven. His will is done in heaven. Earth is where his will can be done, but is not always done? Man in his natural state is of the earth, formed from the earth. God -- as seen in the Genesis texts must perform a work on earth to form the man, and make it in His image and likeness. What God imparts to His creation is part of that creation. His will to be done in earth as it is in Heaven is something for which we are instructed to pray.)

Genesis 1:2-4 KJV

[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. [4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Earth was without form and void. Void means empty. So it was a place where nothing had been done. God‘s will created it, but nothing was there, until the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

God soweth good seed. It requires good seed to bring forth good fruit because good trees are required to produce good fruit. Can’t bring forth good fruit from bad seed.

God made a division. All He made was IS GOOD. But the earth was void. He created good things in the earth but there was is could have been void remaining where He did not create where an enemy could sow bad seed, where tares could grow up.

God made a division.

Genesis 1:3-4 KJV

[3] And God said, Let there be light: and mthere was light. [4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

John 1:3-5 KJV

[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Wherever light is darkness flees away. Light dispels darkness. But there are places where light does not shine or penetrate, deep dark hidden obstructed covered inaccessible shuttered buried eclipsed places.

[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. In God's original creation, before the creation of woman, God made and saw that all things were good. But the absence of a help meet for Adam was seen by God as not good in Genesis 2:28 "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." This is a proof verse that creation itself is not God -- since God in His perfection cannot lack anything, or be in a condition that could be "not good")

…And as further enrichment and deepening of the contemplation upon these wondrous mysteries — into which we see but dimly as through a glass darkly — look upon the extension of the idea in yet another place in God’s word:

The Apostle Paul in his specially appointed role as an amanuensis of the Holy Ghost says all that has been hinted at before in the succinct message contained in that small group of verses.

The trope of isolation should not be minimized. You and your cellphone are divorced from the rest of humanity. Locked down life and subsequent life behind masks (including the shell you’re in while tethered to and in mystical communion with your personal devices) are not meaningful human interaction.

Everybody might benefit by watching the BBC documentary series “The Century of Self”. The same techniques used to manufacture “The Me Generation” as an antidote to what happened in Nazi Germany can be readily applied to manufacturing the polar opposite in the poison of a singularly-purposed, monolithically-faced societal consciousness.

Selfish as it sounds to us all as we have been “groomed” throughout our privileged lives as participants in Western Civilization, it’s time to start looking out for #1 — who ought to be YOU, yourself if you have any conscience.

Each of us is unique with a unique contribution to make in our time here. Forsaking that special purpose for some monstrosity of a joint quest is mortally immoral.

We’re all standing at the train station now, alongside the tracks meant to convey us to Auschwitz and the Final Solution. Now is the time to object. Now is the time to push back. Now is the time to be unruly and civilly disobedient as per our God given RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH. Now is the time to assert our God given RIGHT TO LIFE. There are so many more of us than of them. They can’t kill us all before we subdue them and their dogs. They have no right to send us anywhere. We have a God given RIGHT TO PROPERTY, and we have every right to return home to the rights and properties and trusts that were bequeathed to us.

BEAUTIFUL = “Be YOU t(o) (the) FULL”

My Aunt Belle, a kind and wonderful woman, frequently pronounced some words with great exaggeration for humorous effect.

It occurred to me recently that her pronunciation of one word in that fashion contained significant additional meaning. It is the word “beautiful”. She would enunciate it thus for special effect: BE-YOU-T-FULL. She would say, “You are BE-YOU-T-FULL!”, or “It is BE-YOU-T-FULL!”, or “That was BE-YOU-T-FULL!”

Pondering memory of her exaggeration of the word, I noticed a series of further extended transformations of significance:

Beautiful —> be you t’ full —> be you to full —> be you to (the) full = be fully you

(To be) beautiful = (To) be fully yourself

Don’t cheat your Maker, or the world, of beauty by being less than you were made to be; less than you can be; less than is in you from Him to fully manifest by being yourself.

Some call it “being authentic”. You are truly beautiful when you are the authentic you, the real you, the you as you are, and not some masked, disguised, made up, inauthentic presentation of you.

I don’t know why, but as I was thinking and writing about this (my Aunt and her funny pronunciations, and lessons masked in a lightly appreciated word), I was inspired to share (as a summation) this quote from Scripture: John 11:43 “…He cried with a loud voice, LAZARUS, COME FORTH.”

Emergent beauty in the fullness of its expression (yours, mine, that latent all around) has much in common with an amazing historical event.

And here's some more to think about regarding allowing the beauty in you to manifest fully:

John 14:18,20,23 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you...At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you...If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John 17:21-23 "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me."

Ephesians 5:30-32 "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. [31] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. [32] This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."

Since the Lord is literally in us and we are literally in Him, to be fully ourselves is a dignity of immeasurable value; and our obligation to be beautiful (to be ourselves fully) is of utmost significance.

And one further consideration: the poet John Keats in his “Ode on a Grecian Urn”proclaimed “Beauty is truth, truth beauty…” The Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed, “I am…the truth”. Therefore, having Him in us, or — equivalently —having His word in us (since His word is truth) means that being fully ourselves is necessarily a manifestation of beauty.

The Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, is altogether beautiful.

Since creativity is effectively infinite, the metaphysical wealth opportunity of individual imagination makes the loss of contribution from just one mind an immeasurable loss for humanity.

That loss is a risk societies can ill afford to take given the profound scalar uncertainties (from “nano” to infinitely large) of possibly desperate challenges ahead.

Plastic (Fungible) Information

What is written in black and white, recorded on a page, is forever able to be presented as evidence that (at the time of printing at least) something was in fact as written.

The "as it is written" in the ether of electronic storage is considerably more plastic (or fungible) and ephemeral. What you now see written on the monitor or screen (and assume is accessible in the same form should you come back to it later) can in fact be altered or vanish before you return to it again.

Authors who wrote in heartfelt inspiration can later change that momentous passion to anything they want to say instead afterward to mollify whatever audience they need to appease or pander to; seeking in fear to escape coercive actions by offended powers.

Dangerous books can be burned, of course, to make them go away in a hurry. But they (or any “scripture”) conserve and preserve as long as they exist the ability to disseminate the thought bound up in them.

Culture standing upon a cut-and-paste edit-at-will instantaneousness; and defenseless against application of a "select all / delete" algorithm is precariously poised for collapse.

Fractured Perfection: Shattered But With Purpose

“It sucks, but it’s perfect.”

That’s the resolute hurt they both felt. That’s the repentant torment at the heart of their suffering. It’s the pain and pleasure, the bitterness and bliss rolled together that they agonized over and yet enjoyed for the moments shared when she walked away; and every regretful moment since.

For sure it happened; and there’s certainly no undoing what is done.
