One of the top mlm secrets revealed is having enthusiasm on your journey while applying your critical thinking skills. This morning I have listened to a conference call with Bob and Anna Bassett. They have read an article today regarding Steve Jobs. In Steve Jobs article he mentioned that you can have the greatest product on the planet but if you can not communicate it to your prospect you will get nowhere.
I bet that you are asking yourselves what does this have to do with network marketing? Here is the reason why the answer is a lot. First of all there is an old saying that the rich people build networks while the poor and middle class people spend their time looking for work. Steve Jobs had 24 hours in a day just like we did. Of course he became wealthy but what matters to us is choosing the right players for our team.
First of all how do we know that we are in the right company? When we enter a network marketing company we have to read our policies and procedures. Just because people buy into the hype of time freedom and financial freedom that the company says there is a specific catch that I want to share with you. What if you are currently in a company where it says in your policies and procedures that you are responsible for your downlines mistakes and you do not know that?
The answer my friend is that they can terminate you after you have spent five years putting time and money into building your company. For instance while you are taking your dream vacation in Italy they can terminate your contract for being away so then all your enthusiasm is wasted.
Of course you must have passion and vision and enthusiasm in your company or else nobody is going to follow you. But do not think that you do not have to do your homework just because you are good friends with someone. You must do your research first to question yourself with respect to whether or not you are in the right company. The following statement may shock you but I suggest that you do yourself a big favor and go back to your policies and procedures and read it even if you think you are very happy in your company.
The rest of the networking rules of the game remain the same. You have to build a strong relationship with your prospect using the Secret Language Of Prospects. First of all know the color of your prospect. That means speaking the same language as he does. If he speaks blue then you speak blue, if he speaks green then you speak green. If you do not speak their language you will get nowhere fast whether you decide to bring up your business or not.
When they complain about something you do not tell how great your product or company is. You ask them "have you considered doing something about it?" And if you see that it is not an appropriate spot like when there is a line at the grocery store or if you are at a party then make an appointment only if they say yes: Here is what I have learned from Pat Hintze: We are at a party right now, lets talk later on. At the end of the party you exchange numbers and set up an appointment. You will be invited next time and you will have a chance to share what you have with your new friend.
Another attractive sentence to bring up to your prospect at the party is "I just found out how to earn an extra paycheck each week, if you ever would like to know how I will be glad to tell you meanwhile pass the potato chips." and for your product is "I just found out how we can lose weight if you ever would like to know how I will be glad to tell you, meanwhile lets go watch TV." Remember not to dump information and set the appointment the way I described in the previous paragraph.
Remember to act like you are having fun. Because if you are not having fun in this business you are not doing it right. If someone needs to be motivated and says that this business does not work that is really not the case. You can only sit on the bench or dance on the bench but there is no such thing as a dancing bench. One has to be enthusastic about whatever activity he or she does. The main question is that will it bring me the results that I want to have?
Almost 40 years ago when Tom Big Al Schrieter failed miserably in building his business, he was asked by his sponsor these three critical questions: Do you have the same territory as the person sitting next to you? He said yes. Do you have the same compensation plan? Tom said Yes. Are you given the opportunity to learn skills? Tom said yes. The last question was the most critical one out of all of them. So then Tom Big Al Schrieter took the bull by the horn and learned the skills from the three day workshop he went to and in 60 days he built from zero to full time income.
Art Jonak mentioned about Tom Big Al Schrieter that he had to learn how to be funny because he used to be a nerdy engineer. What does that tell us? That anything we put our mind to by being a critical thinker with enthuisasm will attract the intelligent people who will then be tommorows leaders.

The mlm truth about learning something is only good if you use it. I myself went to college and majored in accounting and finance. I have taken general subjects and of course took classes in my major. The problem is that I do not use everything that was necessary to have for the graduation requirements.

If people had learned Think And Grow Rich just right after finishing highschool, they would be way more selective with respect to what courses they would take in college. More importantly they would ask themselves if they will apply it in their chosen occupation? As a result of that the status quo group would have declined long ago.

Proper Time Management Is The MLM Truth To Success

A basic mlm truth that many people skip on their list is time management. We are either on the success side of the Slight Edge curve going down or we are on the failure side but not both.
This afternoon I had a dentist appointment. After the appointment was done he told me that I needed to dental floss and swish listerine in my mouth twice a day for 30 seconds. This may have been an immature question to him but I asked him anyway. How do I floss properly? I watched how he did it and I did the same way. Then I told him that I would wash my mouth for 30 seconds each day with Listerine. I just started a new way of washing my mouth. Whenever I have listerine in my mouth I swish it by looking at the watch to see if it is at least 30 seconds, forty five seconds the most, to be sure I did it. When I brushed my teeth, did the flossing and swished my listerine for 30 seconds than I knew that I was done.
We must take our time when doing our social networking activities like writing blogs and shooting videos, but that does not mean we have all day. We must time ourselves from the time we start the activity until the time we end the activity. Then we must see what results we are getting. Richard Dennis mentioned that after we get the results we want we are not done yet. No matter how great our results were we have to ask how can we get better for the next time.
Back in school and in college our exams were timed. So if we were able to complete our exams on time then why shouldn't we make our mlm goals done on time?
Right now the skepticism is lower than it was ten years ago because there is more target marketing. And in another decade from now it will be even lower. So we defintely have no reason to stay behind.

There is an old saying that your warm market can be ice and cold. Everybody knows that they want to drain your energy and suck the life out of you. Why is that? They want to prove to you that they are wise and you are dumb.

I have a friend who learned to swim when he was 41 years old. He picked up the phone book and called this lady from the yellow pages. It was a 800 number. He was in NY and the lady was in California. But she told him on the phone that next month she would be in the Virgin Islands teaching people how to swim and giving scuba diving lessons.

He made the decision to go to the Virgin Islands and meet up with her so that he can take swimming lessons. He learned how to swim and four years later he became certified in Scuba Diving.

At that age many people are close to throwing in the towel. He did not. He just kept on moving no matter how difficult it was.

There is an old saying that age does not matter. Successful people do what unsuccessful people will not do. Everybody says that reading the word picture of Breast Stroking Across The English Channel in Success In Ten Steps has learned that they only ask people who have been there done that and got results. Not someone who took a course in swimming but someone who has swam and other people to swim too.

When you are a leader in mlm a fundamental mlm truth is that you can not rush your prospect.
Here is what you have to mention to him when sharing your story. You have to tell him to take a deep breath. You must say to him that he should not care about why you do the business. He needs to realize that it is he who is going to be the one who will succeed and he will fail.
Lets say you have a promotion in your business. You still want to maintain that compsure of being someone who does not have an agenda. What you want to tell him in that case is that we are having a promotion take a look at what its about and that is it for the presenting part of it.
When you decide to follow up with the promotion within a two to three days time period you should ask him, what did you like about what you read? If he says it was interesting, okay or whatever then leave him alone. The timing was not right for him.
My good friend and mentor Marcello Lisi was training us today and he was saying that my company does not matter at this time. All we care about is helping you be successful in whatever company you are in. Your prospect is used to getting pitched by other people in network marketing. That is why 95% of all network marketers are failing these days.
96% of the people have full time jobs. What they want to know is a SYSTEM where they can plug into and generate leads within an hour. Lets say that their work schedule is 7 am-7 pm. That is 12 hours a day. And it takes them 1 hour to come home and a half hour to eat. That leaves them from 9 pm-10 pm to work on their business.
They want to use that hour the most productively because if there is no pay then there is no stay. During the day at work they have during break times and throughout the schedule all kinds of negativity comming at them. From coworkers talking about the news to their bosses negative reaction. They have heard enough about that.
What they need to have is to plug into a 30 day mental cleanse call where they can stop the chatter in their mind or else they will stay behind. If they can not make the recorded calls we have it recorded each week where they can listen to it on their leisure or burn it to a CD or listen to it on an MP3 player.
Apply all this by putting yourself into a prospects situation and then you will have empathy with him and you will not have to ask anybody to join your business. Also with application of this they will come to you and ask you if they can join you in your business.

One mlm truth that you must get to your head is to be lazer focused or else you are wasting your time. In network marketing today many people buy into the hype without investigating the background of a person.

The internet marketers are the ones who pretend to be your downlines psychologists. They know how to talk to your subconcious mind. All your decisions that you make each and every day are made by using that. Nothing else. When they are telling you that how much money they made in the first three weeks it is enticement.

Lets say they tell you that you must have multiple streams of income. That is invest in stock, real estate, leads etc run. You will not have the time to chase too many rabbits. It is going to confuse you and you will not realize it until it is too late.

That is the same thing as taking too many credits in a college semester. Lets say you have 21 credits that is too much work for most people. Why fail?

If they claim that they made x amount of money buying leads ask them to put them on the phone with you. When they tell you that their upline is busy or whatever that is a big lie. They just want to have your money. My good friend and mentor Michael Dlouhy has been in the network marketing industry for the past 30 years and he never met anybody who bought leads.
