Cancer has been the most distressing disease that has recorded millions of casualties worldwide. Our surroundings is constantly being filled with many carcinogens day by day in the form of plastics, tanned food, arsenic, asbestos, beryllium, cadmium, diesel exhausts and other air pollutants. Thus prevention, treatment and mitigation of cancer are a huge challenge for the medical fraternity.
Oncologists depend on molecular biology of cancer to decode the disease and find a major breakthrough in the care of the cancer patients. Integration of molecular biology, genetics, microbiology and biochemistry of the cells have enabled comprehensive analysis of tumor cells that still continues in the dark routes to crack the most effective approach to prevent and treat cancer.

Cancer even now remains elusive with so many hidden links and targets which when unveiled can give the patient a new lease of hope. The molecular changes involved in initiation and propagation of cancer involves major genes namely- oncogenes, tumor genes. Mutations of these genes are the major cause for cancer. Some protective sequences and pathways such as cell cycle control and mismatch repair may prevent tumor generation. Thus, Cancer therapy concentrates largely on these molecular targets.
The cancerous cells are like normal cells, but they differ in their genetic stability, cell cycle controls, loss of p53 gene, and proteins. The therapy may be traced by exploiting the weakness of the cancerous cells such as genetic instability, flaws in the cell cycle controls, lack of chromosomal integrity, shattered apoptosis pathways and DNA repair pathways. Selective quenching of the blood perfusion to the cells may be another method of killing cancer cells.

Molecular analysis of the tumour cells have given clues on critical genes of which p53 is of prime importance. Mutations on p53 genes are associated with the tumor cells; repair of this gene is a distinctive approach to heal these cells. This is a promising method that is further studied to effectively repair the p53 gene which can then suppress tumorogenesis.

Even tumor cells undergo deviations in DNA metabolism that can be detrimental; these may be alterations in DNA replication, recombination, repair and ultimately the chromosomal integrity. With these vulnerabilities the tumor cells may be side lined and bring their growth to a standstill. This is what the radiation therapy does to the tumor cells, the otherwise harmful electromagnetic radiations are targeted on the tumor cells selectively so that the chromosomal integrity is lost and the tumor is eradicated from the body completely.
The major challenge in the cancer treatment is the resistance offered by the tumor cells to chemotherapy. The response of cancer cells differs widely to the chemotherapy and radiation therapy that the understanding involves complex possibilities and deviations. The resistance to anti cancer drugs is related to enhanced expression of gene- Mdr1. This gene by excessively producing plasma membrane bound transport ATPase prevents the absorption of anti cancer drugs in to the cancer cells. So, this gene is a direct target when the patient is on chemotherapy. A simultaneous watch on this gene has increased the success rate of the cancer chemotherapy.

While the complete cure of cancer is not evident, it's not very far. With a consistent approach we have come ahead putting many hurdles behind us. Study of molecular changes of tumors on sub cellular and genetic levels has resulted in many major breakthroughs that keep the promise to fight cancer completely out of this world. The improved success rates of the cancer treatments, advent of unique and innovative treatment approaches day by day has proven cancer can surely be cured completely. With our hopes and faith high we shall definitely beat cancer eventually.

Most people buy insurance the wrong way. They buy it piecemeal. They buy a little bit of this here and a little bit of that there. They buy too much in some areas and not enough in others. Then, when there is a serious claim, their insurance coverage often fails them. If your New Year's resolution for 2013 is to fix that, we have some tips that can help you accomplish it.

Homeowners insurance

Tip 1: If Hurricane Katrina wasn't reminder enough, along came Superstorm Sandy in 2012 to remind everyone that homeowners policies do not cover flooding. The policies cover those homes destroyed by fire, and homes damaged or destroyed by a storm. But they do not cover flooding. If you are exposed to any chance of severe flooding, even if you don't live anywhere near a body of water, talk to your agent about flood insurance and check out the government flood insurance website at FloodSmart.gov.
Tip 2: If you work from home even part time, you need to add an endorsement to your homeowners insurance called "incidental occupancy endorsement." Homeowners policies, besides covering your building and contents, also cover personal liability, including liability for guests injured on your home premises. But they do not cover injuries to those who come onto your premises for business purposes. That includes not only businesses that have regular visitors to the home -- such as yoga instructors, piano teachers or day care providers -- it also includes injuries to the occasional visitor, such as a co-worker or delivery driver who's dropping off some work from the office and falls on your icy driveway in the winter and gets injured. No coverage. How much does it cost to add this nifty endorsement? Less than $30 a year. For that small price, it's silly not to have one.

A $1 million policy costs about $200 a year. I consider it the best buy in the insurance business.

Car insurance

Tip 4: Most people are underinsured for lawsuits. The most common limit I see is $100,000 per person. That won't even cover the medical bills in a serious accident. The minimum liability coverage that anyone with any assets or income to protect should be carrying is $500,000 to $1 million or more. If your liability limits are low, contact your insurance agent right away and get those limits raised to more realistic figures. Raising liability coverage is surprisingly minimal in cost.
Tip 5: When you raise your liability limits on your car insurance, don't stop. Raise your limits on your home, cabin, boats, snowmobiles, etc., to the same amount. You don't know where the lawsuit may come from. You want the same amount of money protecting you, so it won't matter where it comes from.
Tip 6: Raise your uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage on your car insurance to the same levels as your liability coverage for people you hurt. It's estimated that 10 percent to 20 percent of all drivers have no insurance. I guarantee you that these are not the drivers with perfect driving records. Since we can't control who hits us or how much insurance they have or don't have, buying high limits of this coverage is the only way we can ensure that we and the loved ones riding with us get fairly compensated.
Tip 7: Save money by dropping collision and comprehensive coverage of older vehicles you can comfortably afford to replace without car insurance. Make sure you save enough money to make it worth the risk.
Save money on insurance by self-insuring more of the small losses on your vehicles with bigger deductibles. Not only does it save money, but it also reduces the number of small claims you file, thus keeping rates as low as possible now and in the future.

Life insurance

Tip 8: Remember that buying life insurance is an act of love. It's the only insurance policy that you can buy where you are not collecting on it. For a family of four, financial experts recommend that survivors of one parent's death make do with 7.5 times income. I recommend 10 times income. The extra cushion will allow the surviving parent to work fewer hours and spend more time with his or her children. Nothing can replace the emotional loss to the family. If one spouse is a homemaker, carry at least $250,000 to $500,000 in life insurance on that person. Buy an amount high enough so the surviving working spouse can be more available to the children and still hire replacement services such as a nanny.
Tip 10: It's quite common for employers to provide some life insurance for their employees as a company benefit and at the same time offer them supplemental group life insurance on a payroll deduction basis. What most people don't realize is that the costs for the supplemental life insurance are quite a bit more than a healthy nonsmoker will pay on the open market for the same amount of coverage. The tip here is to not just buy group life insurance because you assume it's cheaper. It probably isn't. In addition, when you leave the company or the company closes down, so does your life insurance.

The reason the "Deep Web" is the way it is is because only about 10 percent of what's on the internet is generally/commercially interesting. Not just those that browse the sites on there but also those who create it and manage them..and it's almost impossible to find either of the offenders.

Even underground fighting tournaments to the death (I'm not joking very real very organized). Very Real trained professional fighters. It may seem surreal but they are guys that train with the best and want no part of UFC or any fight league. Dudes who really enjoy fighting to the death. It's just crazy explaining it it's not some barroom brawl. These things happen and alot of millionaires pay big money to see them. Modern Gladiator battles. However, 0.00000001% of all data on the dark web is stuff normal people will be able to access, understand and use. • Geography, etc. - Boracay is one of 7,000 or so islands in the Philippines. On a map of the Philippines, Boracay is located about halfway down north to south and about halfway across east to west, just to the north of the northwest corner of a large island named Panay. Boracay is about 7 km long and 2.5 km wide at each end. The island is roughly dumbell-shaped, with the long axis oriented more-or-less north to south. (As far as I know, the USA is the only country in the world which has not gone metric. If you think in miles, a mile is about 1.6 km.)
The middle part of the island is less than a kilometer wide and has beaches on both the east and west sides. The main beach on the west side is about 4 km long, and is called White Beach. On the east side, the main beach is about 1.6 km long and is called Bulabog Beach. There are about ten or so smaller beaches sprinkled around the island, some reachable by road and some not. Boracay's Main Road runs more or less north to south along the island, making a loop on the south end. A number of side roads and paths connect the Main Road with Boracay's various beaches.
• Weather, Seasonality, etc. - Boracay generally has two seasons, wet and dry. The wet season is called Habagat, and runs approximately from June through September. The dry season is called Amihan, and runs approximately from October through May. There is some variability in this, and the switch between wet and dry seasons can vary from year to year by as much as a month.
During the dry season, there is a pretty steady wind blowing from east to west. The north and south ends of the island are a bit hilly, channeling the wind onto Bulabog Beach and making that beach ideal for windsurfing and kiteboarding. White Beach on Boracay's western side is sheltered from the wind and the water off White Beach is often glassy-smooth. During the wet season, the wind direction reverses, with a steady wind blowing onto White Beach and with Bulabog Beach being calm.
Partly because of the seasons and the associated wind pattern, tourism is heaviest during the dry season. Most hotels and resorts have Low and High Season price levels, and some have additional Peak Period pricing. Peak periods, periods of heaviest tourist arrivals, include the Christmas/NewYear and Chinese New Year periods, and the Easter Season.
• White Beach is Boracay's main tourism area, and is lined for pretty much its entire length with resorts, hotels, restaurants, bars, stores, souvenir shops, scuba diving centers, etc. The central part of White Beach has a footpath, called the Beachfront Path, running along the back of the beach itself and fronting the businesses. The Beachfront Path begins about 1.5 km south of the northern end of White Beach and runs for about 2 km, ending about half a kilometer north of the southern end of the beach. White Beach faces west, and spectacular tropical sunsets are often seen from it. The sun sets sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 PM, depending on the time of year, and many of Boracay's beachfront bars have a Happy Hour from 5 to 7. Three boat stations located along White Beach serve as Boracay's primary entry points during the dry season.
• Bulabog Beach is well known as an international Windsurfing and Kiteboarding destination. As noted above, it normally has a steady onshore wind during Boracay's dry season. The beach is protected by a reef located a few hundred meters offshore, which is great for speed and slalom sailing. Beyond the reef, wave sailors can take advantage of the wind-driven waves. The Boracay International Fun-Board Cup, a competitive leg of the Asian Windsurfing Tour, takes place on Boracay every year. The exact dates for the competition vary from year to year, but generally fall during late January.
• Diniwid Beach is located north of White Beach, and is reachable by footpath which runs around the headland separating the two beaches or by road from Boracay's Main Road. Several resorts are located at the northern end of Diniwid Beach and on the south-facing side of the headland at its northern end. Motor-tricycle transport is available between Diniwid Beach and other Boracay locations.
• Fairways and Bluewaters Golf and Country Club fronts the Main Road across from the Diniwid Road, with its main entrance just to the south of that point. The 18-Hole Par 72 World-Class Golf Course was designed by Master Golfer and designer Graham V. Marsh. On its east side, the golf course fronts on Lapuz-Lapuz Beach. The club house has a huge swimming pool that overlooks the Sibuyan Sea, and offers snacks, fine food and drinks.
• Baling-Hai Beach, site of a beach resort of the same name, is located just north of Diniwid beach but there is no footpath between the two. A foot/vehicle path connects Baling Hai to the Main Road.
• Punta Bunga Beach, home of the Club Panoly Resort, is located just north of Baling-Hai Beach. Again, there is no footpath between the two but there is a foot/vehicle path connecting Punta Bunga with the Main Road.
• Puka Shell Beach is located along the north-facing top of Boracay Island, and is home of the Puka Grande Restaurant.
• Ilig-Illigan Beach is located at the northern end of Boracay's eastern side, with Lapuz-Lapuz Beach just south of it. It is sometimes possible to walk between the two beaches, but both of these beaches are difficult to reach by road. Round-the-island boat tours sometimes stop for a picnic at one or the other of these beaches.
• Lagutan Beach is located just south of Bulabog Beach, but is not easily reachable from there by footpath. This beach is backed by a seawall, and often disappears at high tides. A road connects the seawall area to the Main road, and Tulubhan Beach to the south is reachable by footpath.
• Tulubhan Beach is home to Paridise Bay Resort and to several private houses. A good vehicle/foot path connects Tulubhan with the Main Road and with Tambisaan Beach to the south. Some small beaches on the southeastern side of the island are reachable from this path via smaller footpaths.
• Tambisaan Beach is located on Boracay's southeastern corner. This beach is several hundred meters long and is quiet and unoccupied for most of its length. During the wet season a boat station on this beach is used as Boracay's primary entry point, replacing the three boat stations on White Beach while they are shut down due to seasonal wind and wave conditions. A good vehicle/foot path connects Tambisaan with the Main Road and with Tulubhan Beach to the north.
• Manoc-Manoc Beach one of two beaches on Boracay's southern end, and is largely unoccupied except for private houses.
• Cagban Beach, also on Boracay's southern end, has a pier and has been used since late 2006 as Boracay's primary entry and exit point.
