After Citi-Biking through the City this weekend, I finally got a chance to rest up, which hasn't happened in weeks! Summer is finally on its' way and I am ready. My friends and I were being quite adventurous on Saturday as we ended up bicycling in the Big Apple. It was an enthralling day to be out, and it was eye opening to see the city through the bikers' perspective. I suggest anyone that is gutsy enough to absolutely take this on because riding in NYC traffic is no joke. The Citibike idea is great, but we had a few issues getting the bikes. Other than the fact that we had to try a few times each to get a bike, it was a good experience. I chose this outfit because I knew it would be a workout to pedal all day. I definitely dressed for comfort but added some fun with these new sunglasses from Nastygal. My new obsession! I love me some Neon x Neon Action.

NYC has been witness to some amazing weather the past couple of days. I was able to go to my first rooftop with a few friends. When the weather is projected to be pleasant, I try to wear cute bottoms, like this adorable skirt from Zara. It was market week at work, so I dressed it up with this ombre shirt with hearts. I feel that this is one of the best seasons to experience the city and all that it has to offer before the blazing heat of summer arrives.

Hey guys! I just wanted to post these pictures from last weekend out in the LES. Zara is my favorite store to shop at, and this is a head-to-toe Zara look. I was aiming for a casual outfit for brunch with my new favorite sandals. They add a little edge to any and every outfit and I am in a serious relationship with these babies. Black and white will never go out of style, so I also threw these amazing jacquard shorts. I also was intrigued by this American Apparel store as my backdrop, this girl has my back (literally). I ♥ NYC.

I am in LOVE with these sandals from Zara. I mean I am in love with several things from Zara, but these really caught my attention when the Spring 13 lookbook rolled out. I love the 3.1 Phillip Lim-esque about them (they have a similar bootie) and it really makes any outfit that much better.

I wanted to try a head-to-toe denim look, and I finally did it. I feel it worked out pretty well mixing the different washes and prints. Happy Spring Weather! My scarf needs a break.

Florida Spring'n

Happy Monday! I have just been reminiscing on these fun pictures when I was visiting my family in Florida. I had an amazing time and I really miss having so much sun all the time. I got to see some old friends, go out like there was no tomorrow, and just overall forget about the everyday life I have back in NYC! Vacations are the best.

Onto the fun part, the outfit! The weather was epic so I opted for a lightweight denim t-shirt layered over this chambray dress. I added the necklace which added a fun pop of color. This is one of my favorite outfits so far. I also wanted to add something unexpected, so I wore my leopard flats from Nastygal. Oh Florida, we had some great times.

South Beach

Quick update from my vacay! I am visiting home and took a trip with my sister to South Beach! It was amazing to say the least. We went to the beach, had an amazing night, and hung out for a little the next day before heading home. Loving this maxi skirt and crop top from Nasty Gal. It was South Beach appropriate, so this was the only option in my opinion. I'll put up more of the great pictures I took later but for now, please let these soak in.

Saturday

Best day of the week, in my opinion. I love having a great Saturday in NYC with brunch/friends/fun. I was especially happy with my outfit on this day because I got to don my new Nike Sky Hi Dunks from the exclusive City Pack that was released a few weeks back. I am literally in love with these sneakers! I decided to pair it with a bright peplum top and fun jeans. Being able to ~~finally~~ live it up in NYC has been amazing to say the least. One spot I was finally able to check out on Saturday was the Meatball Shop! It was delicious and if you live in the NYC area, definitely check it out. Nothing like a good weekend, if you ask me.

Amazing weather means more outings (finally). This denim jacket is my go to since the weather is finally acknowledging the arrival of springtime. I am in LOVE with these sandals due to the fact that:

1. the design is amazing

2. they more or less can be used as a weapon

3. they are inspired by 3.1 Phillip Lim

Oddly enough, the weather was a little too warm for Spring, but I'd take this over snow any day. Stay tuned for more, friends.

The weather is finally coming around in the Big Apple. After an amazing weekend, I had to have my weekly dosage of reality by heading to work today, although the weather permitted my usually dreary welcoming of Mondays. I was nervous about what to wear because you never truly know what it will feel like, so I opted for my favorite Prabal Gurung x Target sweater over a chambray dress. I also ventured out to the Highline and it was a great ending to my first Springtime/Happy Monday!

It was a great time and the first picture is of me winning the award for "Best Paparazzi Picture". You know what they say, when you have good friends, you will always have a good time. I really could not figure out what to wear so I layered on the necklaces to add something special. Oscar Night was a success!

Happy Friday! My favorite day of the work week has to be Friday! If you haven't noticed I tend to post on Fridays because my days can be super hectic and it's hard to accommodate my outfits with my workday. I finally get some freedom with my day on Friday, so I was excited to rock this outfit. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I had an awesome pre-St. Pat's day yesterday with my friends in NYC. The snow falling couldn't dampen our day of fun and we ultimately had a great time. Springtime Sheer

I was itching to wear this awesome sweater before it got too warm here in NYC. I was enjoying the mild weather yesterday, and I decided to sport it because it is market week! Looking halfway decent is somewhat required at work, at least for this week. I wore it around the office with a black blazer, but it was a little windy so I threw on my favorite faux leather jacket for some edge. Cannot wait for Spring and all its mild weather. My sandals are ready to come out of hibernation.

Camo + Winter Layers

Oh Winter, how I loathe thee. I have a hard time dressing up during the winter time, especially when its' a combo gloomy day/workday. There was much better weather today, and I decided to put a little extra thought into my attire. Being that I work in the fabric department at my job, I don't like getting too dressed up because I end up with bits and odd pieces of thread everywhere (classiest of fashion jobs).

I was super motivated to dress up today because of this brand new jacket from Zara's boy's department. Yes, 'tis true. I have been on the hunt for a great camo jacket, but either the print was off or the coloring was not what I was looking for. This boy's jacket has the perfect wash and fits me PERFECTLY! I'm quite small (5'1") and it's hard to find clothes that fit well. The kids department never lets me down, so thanks goes out to the little boy that misses out on this opportunity to rock this jacket. This petite adult is eternally grateful. Happy Friday!

I have been posting pictures all over my Facebook page about this sweater. I fell in love with this print and this was one of the pieces from the Prabal Gurung collection that I just HAD to have. It was a bit chilly today in NYC, but finally there was some sun. I decided to sport the sweater, some faux leather pants and my new lace up boots via NastyGal. I also went to see a pre-screening of Safe Haven, and it was SURPRISINGLY good. I know, you're thinking Julianne Hough? Really? Yes, really. Anyway, getting sidetracked here. Great day and a great outfit, can't ask for much more.

Having a great time in Florida right now, and this weather really makes me want to stall my return to NYC. But alas, real life must continue on and I have to enjoy my last few days here. Friday, Chill Day.

Happy Friday everyone! My favorite workday, to say the least. I have been anticipating this weekend coming up because it is one of my good friends' birthdays as well as the weekend before I go to Florida. It was a very cold day in NYC, but I was excited to see some sun and get some much needed Vitamin D. The rumor about he winter blues does exist when you don't get sunlight. In lieu of warm weather, I decided to sport an all black look to keep warm. I recently got this amazingly awesome BBC sweater and I love it! I wasn't going to wear my faux leather skirt from H&M, but then I remembered it was 20 degrees out. Paired with my House of Holland Super Suspender tights and black UO boots, I was prepared to handle the winter blues.

Prabal Gurung x Target!

Hey ladies! Super excited for Target's new collab with Prabal Gurung! I will definitely be lining up for this one in particular because Prabal Gurung is one of my favorite designers. Ever. With such great design aesthetic and with Target's pricing, I just can't refuse! Here are some of the amazing pieces from the lookbook that was released today. My eye is focused on a b/w sandal that is only $29.99!

There are so many great pieces at such affordable prices! I love the femininity of the line and colors that are being used in each piece. This makes me want Spring to arrive sooner rather than later. Winter Blues and Greens

Becoming more productive is the name of my game. I am finally getting back into blogging on a more frequent basis. I am fully prepared to handle my new fashion industry job (its a tough industry FYI) and balancing everything else. I officially graduated because all my grades came in and they were amazingly ~~better~~ what I expected! Feels great to finally be an official graduate at FIT. It was an surprisingly warm January day today. I decided for my new coat from Zara (which I am OBSESSED with to say the least). I also got the sweater, top and purse recently! I know, you're thinking "what a shopaholic" as to which I will reply, " one of the few things I cannot deny".

You can buy these awesome memberships online and print out a nice certificate for your pop-sicle telling him that he'll be getting some cool and unique beers every month! Love this new fragrance from Marc Jacobs, and so will your mom! It is really sweet and fresh, so anyone that likes MJ fragrances will like this. Available at Sephora and other department stores $45-$75

This foot spa is great for hard working mommies! I know my mom appreciates a good pedicure, so this is like having a nice spa at home! If you are up to the whole pedicure aspect and don't mind feet, I'd throw that in for fun. Found this one at Target for $40, but I have seen cheaper ones at Walmart: Target Foot Spa

Sisters:

My sister loves make up, so I would opt for the new palette by UD. I personally own it and it is so versatile and easy to use. The quality cannot compare to any drugstore brands that I have found, and it can fit into any purse for touch ups! $27 at Ulta and Sephora.

I also love lip colors which can make any neutral look pop. I am hunting down for these lip stains by L'Oreal called L'Oreal Shine Caresse. They are a stain/gloss and they come in so many different colors. $7-$10 at any drugstore.

Brothers:

This one is easy. COD Black Ops 2! Any sibling rivalry will cease on xmas day with this awesome gift! Any game loving brother will be all over this if they aren't already. $50-$75.

My little sister is obsessed with her Nook and books in general so I would opt for clothes from some randomly popular tween store like Abercrombie or Aeropostale. I also know that kids are well versed on IPads, IPods, pretty much anything I, so I would get a cool gift card so they can have at it at the Apple Store. Great for any budget! $25+

Fierce and Back in Action

Hey ladies (and gents)! I have missed the freedom of blogging! School has FINALLY finished and I am on my way to a mental vacation. It was one crazy end to a school year, and I am really glad that it is over for me (for now, at least). My classes ended Tuesday, and I have been celebrating since. Starting a new and hectic job has also led me to having more than usual adult beverages in the past week, but a girl's gotta do. I was super excited to finally wear this sweater from Zara on a fun night out with friends. I am literally a walking Zara ad today with almost everything being from Zara. It is loose and comfy, and displays some wording that helped me to keep the bartender in line without me having to say a word. I love dual use clothing items. I will be posting more often because I will be able to get home at a normal hour compared to the days of school at night. Looking forward to the end of the world/Friday!

Look Better, Feel Better

Hey everyone! Sorry for my lack of postage, I was on vacation/finishing up my projects for my finals! Getting closer to the end and it feels amazing. These are a few of the pictures that I took while in my hometown. We have a really cool downtown area that hasn't been renovated too much and has original buildings that take me back to the days when life was carefree. The yellow building is a place that I used to take my music lessons over about 10 years ago! (yes I am old!) The weather was amazing and I even got some color with all that extra Vitamin D exposure in the lovely state of FL. Now enough rambling on my end, to the outfit! The weather was good so I decided to wear these pants from Zara which are super light and comfy. I paired it with a black skull top and a faux leather jacket for a casual day out. Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!
