I haven't had a giveaway here on my DZFANASY blog for several years now and decided to have a few again. I am starting with this little 6" ANGEL.

Her face is 100% silk fabric which I have individually hand drawn, needle sculpted and hand painted. Her body/wing fabric is one of Michael Miller's "fairy frost fabrics", and she is accented with Swarovski crystals, and sparkly designer yarn. She is 6" tall and has a loop on the back so you can hang her on the wall or even use as an ornament.

I have been designing and creating my original designed, one-of-a-kind fiber sculpted fantasy sculptures for over 20 years (angels, fairies, mermaids, leaf spirits and more). Several years ago, I would create a personal, original designed ANGEL for anyone who shared their "ANGEL EXPERIENCE/S" with everyone here on my blog. Several of the stories are still out here on my blog. Since this got to be a bit time consuming and costly, I will now create ONE angel for the person who's story is submitted and voted on by you the readers of the stories.

I believe ANGELS come in many ways to help us...they can be "earth" angels in the form of a friend, family member, one's pet, or a complete stranger. They can also be "unseen" angels helping us in times of need, you just have to be open and aware.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE A STORY OF ANY EXPERIENCE YOU FEEL WHICH SHOWS THERE ARE ANGELS OF ALL TYPES HERE TO HELP US!

The time to submit your story will run from DECEMBER 28 - JANUARY 28, 2017. I will enter the stories out here on my blog, and on JANAURY 29TH, I will add a place where people can vote for the story that touched them the most. 13.5" Fiber Sculpted Wall Style Mermaid

I just finished creating this colorful mermaid, who is the largest of my wall style mermaids, measuring 13.5" from the bottom of her tail fins to the tip of her colorful hairdo. She is designed to hang on the wall, dance from a bit of ribbon or clear fishing line or could be displayed on a shelf with the wall to lean against.

Her face and uppper body is 100% silk fabric. I individually hand draw, needles sculpt and hand paint her face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

She has a lot of Swarovski crystal accents, in her hair, necklace, belly button and at her waist. She is of my own original design and creation. A lovely addition to any collection. She is currently listed in my DZFANTASY shop on Etsy. I also have smaller size mermaids available in my shop, and am always happy to create a special order figure, in your choice of colors! I have been designing and creating my original designed fiber sculpted fantasy sculptures for over 20 years now, and one of my all time favorite fabrics were those designed by the talented fabric artist, Laurel Burch.

Her colorful, whimsical designs inspired so many of my fairies and mermaids over the years. I was so sad when this great artist passed away. Recently I was quite amazed to note how her various designed fabrics have skyrocketed in price! Her use of color and whimsey appeal to so many!! Designs that years ago used to be anywhere from $10.00 - $12.00 a yard are now going for anywhere from $25.00 - $69.00 a yard. I am so happy I had the opportunity years ago to purchase so many of her wonderful designs.

Magical fiber sculpted butterfly fairy on silk morning glory leaf

Petite and sweet fiber fantasy sculpture!

This tiny enchanting fiber sculpted fairy sitting on a hand dyed, silk morning glory leaf is my latest creation just completed. She is now listed in my DZFANTASY shop on Etsy.

I forgot how a tiny little creation takes almost as long to create as one of my larger fairies. Her face is only about .75" long and .50" wide which makes it very hard to work with.

I will be making several more of these tiny fairies sitting on silk leaves. Some will be designed as mobiles, which would look enchanting just about anywhere. Others will be designed to hang on the wall, or as the one above, to sit on a shelf or anywhere else you'd like a bit of fairy magic.

Meet Murphy - Bichon/Poodle Mix Boy looking for a "furever" home!

If you are looking for a new companion for the coming new year, you might want to consider my buddy, Murphy, who is currently living at Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue in Mukwonago, WI, while waiting to find his "furever" home.

Murphy came to Bichon Rescue as an owner surrender. He was one scared little boy when he first arrived and wasn't sure he wanted to be taken out for a walk. After working with him, he has turned into a friendly, happy little fellow who now is just waiting to go out for walks. First thing he does when he sees one of us volunteers come into the rescue is grab one of his stuffed toys and stands up by his door wiggling his butt to go out. He LOVES going for walks and will sit on command if you have a treat for him. He is 7 years old, but acts more like a 2 year old! He would love to be in a loving home in the new year!! He has such a cute face...big brown eyes.
