Life Update

Hello guys! So I've been a bit off from this blog, it's like a little retirement, I finished my RG Zaku II a couple weeks ago, so no more Gunpla projects to do, so I'm retiring a bit from Gunpla, and gonna restart painting some special mini figures from Gears of War The Board Game I had as a christmas gift, it's amazing, the figures are so detailed, the same or more details as Warhammer figures, so I can't wait to start painting those small monsters ehehe ^^

31 Figures if I am not mistaken, so that'll be my next project...still have to buy a lot of paints but with time I'll buy them and paint the figures and everything...so yeah it's a project that will take some weeks.

College again, takes a hell lot of time from me, the semester finished last week and now we will have 1 month break for exams and all that, I managed to escape all of them by ending with positive marks at all classes so yeah I'm happy ahaha..

I'm almost one week on college break but I got a new PS3 game that it's taking some of my time, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, it's an amazing game! I got it on Saturday and I think I've spent like 40 hours on it already, it's so addictive ahaha ^^

I'm also hanging out with friends, going out at night and everything, trying to enjoy this break time, to do stuff I wasn't able to do during this past few months with much frequency

10000 Views Special - 2011 Review and 2012 Preview - Part 2

Yo! Welcome to part 2 eheh, hope you guys had an amazing 2011, and a great new years party, I sure did :D

I'm good as new, new motivation and new strength for gunpla projects ehehe, so just to start, a list of the works I did this 2011 year.

So three projects that got to feature my gallery, but I also did others, like MG Red Frame, RG RX 78-2, and RG Zaku II as I painted some warhammer figures.

So this 2011 was a bit full in a way. Hope this 2012 year goes the same way...

Now the reviews of the Unicorn and Age series, Unicorn OVA's so far so good, you see the cool old designs and the overall look of the designs are always the same as the others from the UC universe, so it just gets a modern feel, and I love it! Designs like Unicorn, Jesta, Delta+, amazing amazing! They keep their inspirations in previous series like, Zeta Gundam and GM's...but in such a new, fresh and modern look :)

The OVA just got exciting now with the Banshee Unicorn gundam...I wonder... how will be the fight between those two titans :D

Gundam Age series, well better than I was expecting to be honest, still it's not amazing, neither great, it's just normal, the story itself is weird, you feel like each episode you don't see anything, it's so simple, some series in a 20 min episode you see so much that you don't remember half of the stuff, in Age so far, it runs in a slow pace, and them jumps a lot, then runs slow again...don't wanna judge too much before seeing it all...

The Designs, well, some are ok, some are BAD! The G-Exes is probably the best one, I could see that one living in the same universe as 00 Gundam, the designs are similar in a lot of ways, ( the designer is the same so that might be the reason...)

The bad guys design is awful it's so plain, so weak, so fragile, the Genoace, it's so ugly, something supposed to be a Mass Produced MS, it's more like a colony construction MS, it's so weak...it can't even beat one of the bad guys... =/

Well...I gotta go to college ahaha so see you guys next post! :)

Guys sorry I'm missing to continue posting the Part 2 of the review / preview of 2011 / 2012, this past few days have been a bit weird for me...but yeah...

Thanks again for the 10000 views, it means a lot to me!

This year brought me so much happiness, so much sadness, so much despair, so much anger...

I lost myself, I found myself, and I lost myself again, though I'm finding myself bit by bit again...

Thanks to gunpla I was able to forget bad stuff for those seconds, minutes, hours, days, I worked around these models I have.

Time WELL SPENT! That's all I can say!

I'd like to give a special thanks to 3 awesome dudes, that are always by my side in my hour of need, Hummingbird, Kriz, (from mac forums, for their support and critics on my works) and ZackFair ( my dear best friend that showed me and introduced me to gunpla last year)

I'll continue my special posts next year! As I'll be going to a friends house tomorrow in the early morning, and be party all day :D (I deserve it muhahaha)

Hope your 2011 year was cool, and I wish your 2012 to be better, and if possible with gunpla, amazing projects and results!!

10000 Views Special - 2011 Review and 2012 Preview - Part 1

Wow...10000 views, I can't believe it, it was like what? 3 months ago I was partying because I had 7000 views, and now 10000 ehehe...

This will be part of some special posts I'll be making, to celebrate this 10000 views, so I'll be reviewing our 2011 year of Gunpla and previewing the 2012 year!

This year was very special for me, where I completed my first year of doing gunpla and modelling, the first Master Grade I built, and first Real Grade, the first painted model, the first decals, the first diorama, my first hand painted warhammer figures wow...so many many things I did and I'm so happy for it and I still have stuff to do like finishing my RG Zaku II ...

Gunpla 2011 was not only special for me, it was for all us modellers, we got to see many new models and new series, we got the Unicorn OVA Episodes, and we got the AGE series, which I'd love to do a review on it, but I'll be talking about it briefly on Part 2.

This Part 1 is reserved for the models of 2011 and 2012 so here we go!

We got more MG, more HG, more RG! More cool models!

We were all surprised with the Aile Strike RG announcement, and then the Freedom RG, I still haven't got the chance to get my hands on them but they look amazing! And Bandai recently announced that there will be a skygrasper RG with sword and blaster packs, which I think is an amazing "gift", being able to complete the Strike RG, with the packs and skygrasper is amazing, great stuff Bandai!

It goes to show that Bandai is taking care of the RG brand as much as MG and PG.

In HG's we got the Jesta, GM II, Master and Shining Gundam and many others, and it's good to see that older designs are getting as much attention as the new ones.

Though the Jesta is a special one, it's one of the best HGUC's I have seen and I had it on my hands and it's solid, really cool model, I might get one next year!

And in celebration of the 10 years of Gundam Seed, we got the remastered HG's, the same HG's, but now with new packaging, new molded plastic colours to match the HD Remaster series, Decals and even an attachment so they can be placed on a action base stand.

MG's, we got the continuation of the Wing MG's series, and they will still keep coming next year with the Heavy Arms, and I guess in 2012 we might see a Tallgeese MG eventually, I'd like to see that ^^

We still got Unicorn MG Full Armor Mode, which is weird, because it has more weapons than armor but thats ok xDD

And the announcement of the Duel Assault Shroud Gundam is so obvious that after Wing, Bandai is picking on Seed to continue it's MG line...

My previews for 2012 now... like I said, a MG Tallgeese would be cool, but I think Bandai might stop making Wing Models for a short time...(or forever -.-'') and replacing it with the Seed Line...

We already got the announcement of the Duel Gundam, it's safe to say that the Buster, Aegis and Blitz will receive the same MG treatment, and that's very cool :D

And I might get them all ahaha, though I'd like it more on 1/144 scale, so RG Seed Models would be cool too.

Next Real Grades? Humm...we got the Skygrasper coming, but next? I seriously don't know, they surprised us all when jumping from 0079 to Seed, so they can go back and continue the 0079 series, doing a RG GM, or making a MK II from Zeta Gundam series...

High Grades? Well more from the Unicorn Series...I guess =/ and more from the remaster series of Seed and Seed Destiny...

This ends the Part 1 special review and preview of this year and next year models, next Part I'll be speaking of the series, animes, ova's, movies, etc :D

So guys, just to say I wish you all a Merry Gundam Christmas, and like the picture you seen, a Zaku giving a present to a Gundam, so it serves to show the purpose of Christmas, a time of peace, a time where we all forget and forgive the bad stuff of this year, I had a couple problems myself, I hope I can find some peace this next few days..

I hope you guys get a lot of gunpla as presents, and have fun building them ^^

I wish I could talk more, but I started my college winter break yesterday, and I want to enjoy this week and half to the maximum eheh

College Projects

So lately I have been so damn busy with college works and in this one we had to do some chairs, draws and then a 1:5 scale model of the chair,

One is called "Zig Zag" and the other "Red And Blue", I made the Zig Zag one, with Pla Plates, a hell of a work it gave me, but it was fun ^^ and the Red and Blue was made with balsa wood. Hope you enjoy this, and tomorrow I might put new pictures!

Warhammer - Skeleton Soldiers - WIP Part 2

Here I am for a small WIP, yesterday I started painting, some of the figures, and I gotta say, I was struggling to do the white on the skeletons, but in the end I got it alright I guess, I have here some "low quality pictures" to show you guys, of my first painted Warhammer figure :)

Sorry for the bad pictures, but the lighting I had was not the best and since this is so small, my camera has some difficulty on capturing really small and detailed stuff.

This figures will still have some touch ups, specially on the base, but I'll leave that for the next update, see you then ;)

Warhammer Figures - Skeletons WIP - Part 1 & Gunpla Updates

So today I started working on this little guys, seriously they are very damn small, I wanna see how I am gonna paint them ahaha...this week I'm gonna start painting them, I still need some paints, like browns and black, and I can finally start this small journey :)

Now the Gunpla Updates! I finished the Real Grade RX-78-2 the other day, and so here is just a picture of how I have him standing on my display case :)

And I started today doing the Real Grade Zaku II Char's Custom, only 3 hours of work there, and I done 1/3 of the model, the result so far so good, I'm enjoying it a lot, it feels so smooth, and the legs are so solid, much more than the RX, it has like the solidness of a HG, but it's so complex like a MG, damn...I'm in love with Zaku II *.*

Gunpla and Life update - 27/11/11

Hello everyone!
Welcome to another small update, this last few weeks have been crazy, and this past few days...uber crazy, nights that I almost never slept so I could deliver college works, and nights where I hangout with friends.

Life now is more about being happy, do normal, simple stuff, and new experiences.

Gunpla is part of my life, I take it seriously, it's a hobby, but I take it too as a challenge, a competition, where I want to shine and do my very best, and lately I don't feel like my works are what they should be...

I had my RG RX-78-2 to do for a few months, and this week I finally finished it, it's like ending a chapter, moving on...

I'll start working on RG Zaku II tomorrow, and that'll be my next Gunpla chapter.

Unfortunately I can't dedicate all my time to modelling, and so Gunpla will be kinda put aside....like a temporary retirement, so I can rest for a bit, and when I come, I'll strike full throttle.

I'll come back for gunpla, next year, for the 2012 Mecha contest, and I have a huge project, and during December I'll be training for it, so can't wait to show you what I have prepared for that project :D

I'm gonna keep updating this blog, once a week at least, so...see you all next update :)

So finally finished this project, and I'm very happy of the results, this diorama is a gift for a dear friend of mine, Zackfair, this diorama, is for his MG Strike Freedom, and I hope he likes this diorama as I do.

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama WIP - Part 3

So here is the Part 3 of the WIP of this diorama, this is a short one, yesterday I created the "moon" surface for the diorama, I still have to do some clean up job on it before painting.

Gunpla and Life Update/ News

So...here I am again, college is taking a lot of time for me to work on gunpla and life problems...but I'll be ok :)

So, The Part III of the Wip is coming today :P I just finished laying the moon surface for the diorama, and I'll take some pictures later and post them here ehehe

Also I received a gunpla model last week, a RG Zaku II Char's Custom, it was on sale on HLJ and I couldn't let it go, it was also a gift for having passed my driving exam ehehe

I still need to finish the RG RX-78-2 before going on the Zaku...

Well, news? Omg finally the HG's Banshee Unicorn has been announced, both the Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, can't wait to see more of them ehehe ^^

As also a MG Duel Gundam from the Seed Series, amazing! It means we are going to see a MG of Buster, Aegis and Blitz! YEAH!!

And last but not least, a RG Skygrasper with blaster and sword packs has been annouced, I'm so happy, because I was going to buy the NG 1/144 Skygrasper and Moebius Zero and would have to do custom work on the Skygrasper for it to fit the RG Aile Pack.

Seems Bandai heard my prays ehehe...see you guys on the WIP later today :P

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama WIP - Part 2

Welcome o Part 2 of the WIP, with only like...5 to 6 hours of work I think I've done a lot,

corrected some panel lines, and add more details to the floor, including battle damage...

I also tried a new technique, melting runners to make very thin plastic strings, perfect to simulate cables, I'll show you the pictures, relax :)

Also added some walls to help shape the lunar/meteorite surface..

I've corrected the panel lines, this is before the final touch up, which included, a stronger and weaker sand paper to give a pre finish, and then wet sanded and it got a lot smoother...but all this was after this picture.

The outside part which was also sanded later...

And then I created a small structure, which will be inside a "mountain" and it will have to resist to a certain amount of weight that I'll be putting on top of it, so why not testing it with some weight :)

The structure resisted a lot better than I was expecting.

A picture of the overall look, not, after the sandings, and the added battle damage to the floor which I'll show now.

This is a small battle damage, showing some "wires" that I made by melting some runners.

The corner of the diorama was also battle damaged, showing that the floor cracked there.

And the hole made from a beam shoot, now without weathering it, it looks like shit but I'll look cool in the end :)

This is the result of all my work till now ahaha, my desk was a mess, now I have cleaned it don't worry ehehe :)

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama Work In Progress - Part 1

Welcome to my new project, the "Last One Standing".

This will be a very challenging one, it'll require a lot of time and patience, still, I think I'll manage to do it successfully.

This is the last draw, where I imagined and placed all the essential stuff for the diorama.

As I referred many times in the past, this diorama I'm doing, will go for a friend of mine.

So as my previous diorama, I started by cutting some wood for a very strong base for my construction.

And then I started cutting some pla plate for the "floor"

Then I designed some panel lines and this is the result (after a small china ink panel line wash just for checking how deep and wide were the panel lines)

As you can see, some panel lines will need some touch ups, but so far I like it a lot.

The part I'll enjoy more will be creating the terrain just like a meteor/moon surface.

And then the painting I think will be very cool too, can't wait to show you more stuff.

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama first update!

Hello guys! Been away from this blog a couple days, these days I have very little time to post things, but two days ago I received what I needed to start my project with my friend.

We ordered some decals and he got them first, and he sent me the ones I wanted, and also a base for the Strike Freedom MG, which I'll be using on the diorama so It'll be a Diorama fully made for Strike Freedom MG.

I have been gathering some inspirations, checking some artwork and all that, and I'm gonna post some pictures I used as reference for the initial concept.

The concept is pretty simple...Strike Freedom will be the Last One Standing..

The diorama will include a lot of tiny tiny detail and I intend to push myself to my limits once again :)

Gundam Age Review!!

The AGE has begin! Keep reading for a small review of the first and second episode of the newest Gundam Anime!

Gundam Age created a small controversy for it's "kid anime looking", and the "hardcore" fans were very disappointed with the turn of the series.

I was kind disappointed too in the beginning, but I waited for the anime to critique the show.

The designs are not bad, they grow in our head, though it's hard for that to happen without seeing the show.

I'm not gonna spoil the story, but what I can tell is that it's story is pretty much a Gundam Story, the colony thing, much like 0079 Gundam and Gundam Seed...

Gundam Age 1 Normal, is a normal lead Gundam, the pilot Flit so far doesn't seem to be a overpowered dude like Kira or Setsuna, though there is weird powered people in the show too..

The Gafrans and all the other bad guys, look very cool, they act so badass, and they have no fear, and they kick the Genoace's butt, I was so surprised when the Beam Spray Gun had no effect on Gafran's armour.

So far so good, I'm enjoying a lot the anime, I had very low expectations, or should I say, NO EXPECTATIONS, but it surprised me...

It is more kid turned show, but not as much as it seemed to be.

Next week we are going to see the AGE fighting the Zedas and omg, the Zedas looks so fierce, I can't wait for that battle!

A lot of stuff has happened this past few days, but today something good happened, I passed my driving exam and so I can now drive :D

Like you were lost in some

strange and weird desert

and there was this grey dust

"waterfall" in the middle of nothing...

This I felt...

A couple times,

And I feel it now...

It's like mixed feeling, like death and life

love and hate...

This world is uncoloured, though the grey dust

is more colourful that all other things...

Like it was a whole other colour...

Something that you could see and distinguish...

Still I find...

Impossible to describe, this feeling I feel...

"Oh hii" - Mini Update

So, yeah I kinda abandoned the blog, well, not on purpose, just because life is full now, I don't even have time for music...

College is taking like 75 % of my time, the rest are all other activities...

I'm tired because this is a more exhausting life style.

College has been so fun ehehe, I like people there, they are friendly and we all get along well :)

The teachers are very cool too, a bit demanding but yeah I guess it's normal eheh

I'm gonna be back at modelling this month or next one, with the diorama base project for ZackFair's Strike Freedom.

I ordered some decals and I'm waiting for some pieces to start working on it, I want it to be so kick ass, I have so many damn good ideas!

Life Part 4 - The 7000 Views Special

Life, Life, Life, Life...

"Life, it smiles, for those that really deserve it,

for a long time I wish I was better, I had more,

but, I had to admit,

I couldn't be better than what I already was,

I couldn't have more that what I already had,

I do cry, I wish I could do more,

More for me, more for my family,

more for those that deserve it,

more for those I don't want to see bad...

In my life, I cared about others a lot,

Others were my life, and when I looked at myself...

I was no longer myself,

I had to focus on myself, and keep my problems to me,

Ok, it's good to have others help you, but for once,

I wanted to do stuff on my own...

In this 9 months, I have gone through pain, suffer, joy, everything...

I lived more in this 9 months that I lived in a couple years,

I did stuff I never imagined I was capable of doing,

Indeed was a huge roller-coaster of emotions,

Would I live it again? I would...

Would I suffer again? I would...

Would I cry again? I would...

It all made me a better person, like I said.

"Life, it smiles, for those that really deserve it",

for a long time, life smiled for me, but I didn't deserve it...

And when I needed it to smile to me, it didn't...

Now, after this life changing week, I went through a lot...

Happiness, cry, stress, pain, it all happened in this 5 days...

I don't need life to smile to be, I know that when I really deserve it

It will smile to me...

Now.. life, it's smiling to me, and I'll take it,

and won't waste this outstanding second chance...

This second life it was given to me,

In the end...

I'm happy....."

Life part 3...

College = No Sleep?

College = No Music?

Well today I went to my college to register there myself as a student of Design, I only slept like 2 and half hours, I went to bed at 2.30 am and I work up around 5am, and went to college at 6am, so I could be one of the first ones to register, because they only register 87 students per day.

When I got there, there was already lots of guys and girls camping there ahaha, I was number 15, and I only got to fill the papers at 12pm, 6 hours after arriving to college...well...I manage to do the register, play the fees and all that...

But! I only had 15 minutes to go to the driving school for my lessons, I manage to get there on time and when I got there I asked my instructor if I could go to the McDonald's Mc Drive, and he said I could go, so I went there just to refill some energies ehehe...

After the lessons, I went home, I slept for 1 hour, and went for my bass guitar lessons, where I had to speak to the owner of the school to change my schedules and cancel my group lessons because they only have it at night and my college classes will happen all at the night..

Yeah I'm a vampire ahaha, I'll be having my life at night, my college lessons will occur from 6pm till 10.30pm, and they will start next week!!

Gosh...only one vacations week left...the "last one of my life" ahaha..

Can't wait for college!

Gundam Age 2 and 3 Revealed!

So I saw this over at Gundam Guy and I couldn't speak about this, it's obvious the inspirations of the Age 2 and Age 3, it's uber obvious ahaha...any gundam fan would see that, Age 2 based on 00 Raiser and Age 3 based on S gundam and ZZ Gundam.

I don't hate it neither like it...I just have to wait and see...

Project: AstrayGamer Begins!! - Pre-7000 Views Special Announcement!

I'm so pumped with the fact I'm almost getting 7000 views on my blog that I'm making a huge announcement right now and here!

It is with great great pleasure that the project called AstrayGamer.net is going to start.

AstrayGamer.net is a Portuguese Web Site, which belongs to my dear friend ZackFair, he introduced me to his project last year, I said I'd help him out if he needed, a few months ago, we made some modifications to the site, and we started posting some stuff. But like I did on this blog, soon we stop posting on the site, school life and personal life leave very few time to post stuff.

Now we made some changes for easy access to everyone and for better organization.

Our dream is to make AG something like Gundam Guy or Gunjap, but in Portuguese, and will include room not only for Gundam and Gunpla, but for figures, anime, mecha, modelling and gaming.

I'm a proud admin of AG and I'll do my best to post here and on there.

I already know the schedule for college, and I'll have classes from 18 or 6pm to 22.30 or 10.30 pm, and I'll have classes on Saturdays from 8am till 14 or 2pm...weird schedule, but I have to take it and accept it!

Once again, the AstrayGamer.net is a Portuguese Web Site, so only Portuguese readers can fully understand it, I know it can be a bother to some of you, but the only thing I can recommend is either learn Portuguese or use Google Translator if you want to check our Web Site. (Sorry...)

This for us Portuguese community is very important, because there are a few blogs, some gaming web sites, but when it comes to modelling or anime, there are only forums, so what we are doing is getting the best of each and put it on the same place, and for now there won't be a forum section, though we might release it this year.
