Hi everyone! Happy new year to all and hope you are having a great start on everything. My Holiday was really great that I really hoped it would not end but unfortunately it's just for temporary and we all need to go to reality-- studying and working! Classes resumed on 4th and I just felt so lazy. Oh my, so hard when you had almost 3 weeks of being a bum at home and staying online doing everything that I can do on the net. I also have my cousins from the uk for christmas and that added more fun actually.

College has been really busy and still is now. Having duty on first 3 days of the week is a nightmare that I have to wake up as early as 4am, college on Thursday and Friday then Weekends-- rest! NOPE! in my dreams :(. For weekends we have our In-house review for the Board which is 8am until 5pm. Yep! unbelievable but it is true. I as well cannot believe it! no time for leisure.... All I can do is whinge.. moan... and sulk... lolz..

During my second year of nursing school our professor gave us a quiz. I breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was a joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before the class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. "Absolutely," the professor said. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. it may sound like just and ordinary situation that happened but to think of it we do sometimes take people for granted or never bother to know every people we bump into even their names. We say Hi and Hello, smile at them but we forget to introduce ourselves or know their names. No matter how their situations in life would be--- every individual is still equal and deserves fair treatment!

For some this is only a sunset that reminds of what they have achieved and a new ordinary day comes after but for some this means new hope for tomorrow. See the ocean--how calm it is and the perfect rays of the sun that slowly hides while moon comes out..I might sound like dramatic but i am not and hey we always have that one minute in our life, when we think things and suddenly realizes something. Same as how this photo struck me while browsing for photos from a friend's flicker to use it for my blog tonight. I have never seen an actual sunset like this not even at home nor at the beach--- I never got the chance to.

This photo somehow calms me and brought me back to my own world. Thinking how far I have gone and how far will I have to go until I reach or achieve my goals. I know I have done so much in the past and obviously it was a waste of time. At the age of 25, I'm rushing everything and doing my best to accomplish everything on the right time. It's very difficult but I have to be stronger no matter what-- as everyone say it takes a lot of courage for a person to have the guts and surpass everything.

"Guts"--- don't really know what that word is relating to everything. I tremendously look up to those people who have big "guts", who always stands up after a failure and then try again. As for me, I am just starting to be like everyone----Tougher!

No matter how difficult life is even if I have not encounter the biggest challenge of my life, everyday there's always a new hope to hold on and do things right even it takes a lot of time to master every challenge.

Been trying to fix my blog and work on my earning sites before I go back to college for our summer duty which means I would not be able to update from time to time. But no matter how I try to concentrate I just can't! It is still blooming hot! I just took a bathe and I'm sweating again-- I was not even doing anything but just sit! 35.8 C to 37 is really unbelievable. Hope it doesn't go higher that that or else number of heat stroke cases will gradually increases and those farms in the province will surely dry causing the farmers a bad year crops. Scary but i'm thinking of the things shown in the Inconvenient truth program by Al Gore. Could this be it?

Oh dear... I am sweating too much now.. gonna go for now and get more cold drinks. I just hope and pray it would rain at least once.

NOse Lift?

A documentary was shown in the telly about teenage girls going for nose lift of rhinoplasty. Could not believe but it is indeed true, proven that they showed this 19year old girl who just had it.. They showed other girls as well who started having it at age 15! I cannot help thinking but who influenced these teenagers to undergo such minor surgeries? what made them do the procedure? and who takes all the costs?

As I watch the show, I have come to answer as well my questions. Them(teenagers) undergo with these procedures because of curiosity and the desire to look good like the actresses.At young age, it is really shocking that at this age they are focused more of their physical look instead of their studies or friends. Very unusual it is! Before when I was at their age,we were only focused on our studies, going out with friend and how to maintain our figure, keeping our faces from pimples... But I guess as generation pass, things go beyond of what is know or expected but with the issue of having a procedure to beautify oneself is a bit too much specially at young age. Discipline and proper care or diet is better to do. How would these teenagers lose self-esteem just because their friends or someone they know teases them of their nose, belly fats or skin complexion??

With the expenses, either the mother or auntie shoulders everything. hmmmmm wonderful! With the price we all know it cost too much for a rhinoplasty and other procedures and that also depends on with the doctor. If a Doctor has been doing several procedure for sure its way more expensive.

Ending it I just hope these teenagers who had the procedures are happy with the results, not only for today but in long term.... AIts just scary to go on these procedures. its just a matter of trial and error..

This will be the second time I am going to talk about pizza! And oh specifically--- Shakey's!! I really fell inlove with their spaghetti, chicken, mojos, greek salad and most specially Pizza Bianca! I always have them everytime I go back to Shakey's or for delivery..

Last Week, when my BF got home, he was carrying a Large pepperoni pizza and Iced Tea. I was so thankful because I am really hungry and craving for pizza. While eating, he showed me coupons of shakey's ---you get discounts when you order the dishes that is in the photo, wondering how he got it... he showed me the pizzanatic card!! weeee... The card Ive been longing for to have. The lady who served him ofered him this card and took it of course! So there, last night about 9pm past, I got hungry and BF decided to order from shakey's as well to try the card. I rang and ordered Large Pizza Bianca with Coke and free Hawaiian Pizz! This is the best bit, I expected it will cost us about P800-900 but wow to my amazement........ It only cost us P479!!! 2 Large Pizza and Coke for that price?Worth it!!!!Big savings for him.. hhehe..

I will definitely avail again of the card next year, hopefully they will still have the promo. You get to enjoy their pizza and save at the same time. Good for the family!!!

Fresh Graduates off to Europe, encountering different situations and pushing their luck!! A hilarious movie that will make you laugh and get you in the mood for some adventure! A very good movie to see! On the way to the place where meeting the girl, they first went through to a tragic accidents that would definitely make you cross your finger when you are the actually on their shoes. See the funny things and learn new things that you do not exactly expect.. Loved this one and will recommend it to those who want to relax and laugh a bit at the same time.

Changed talks and so on but they never expected that destiny would always cross their path. I just really adore this phone for texting and calling. Although it does not have bluetooth and a card slot it still is good to me. Very chiq and smart. i just love as well the weight for some reason. I recommend it to those who wants a simple but good phone. Not too many for the specs but looking full of it if you know what I mean. I must admit though that I really have a hard time transferring photos into pc which I think is impossible.
From my friends, they said that this phone is so sensitive so lucky enough I do take extra care holding this to prevent LCD from breaking or something. Overall it is good if you really want a nice looking phone but not that too much of specs.

A feeling that is consistent between two person who are greatly committed to each other and a woman who is in love with the guy.A breathtaking movie for me. I just hate the woman pretending to be "Lisa", the girlfriend's name of the guy whom she loves. Out of her feelings for the guy she took advantage of all the things that she can to be with him by not giving the letter or telling the truth. For the lovers, I felt really sad for them to see how heartbroken they are and to think that they do not really know what happened and why it happened. Its like the story is true to life that you can easily relate to the situation and you could actually feel the burden they have..

*long sigh...................................................... Yep! that is how I start this post. It has been very tough and a roller coaster for me, for my mum and for everybody at home. *long sigh again... awww I do not know again what to say. I am so tired? emotionally and physically.. my system is down.. hahha... I have diarrhea for almost 4 days now, I know I should see my doctor but how would I if problems keep coming... But hey I did manage to be there during our revalida until yesterday. Unfortunately, I just cannot cope with it anymore, I was in and out of the Loo last night for about 3 - 5 times, oh man.. hilo na talaga ako after that!Instead matulog, deretso paren sa PC, continued reading articles for the debate but then talagang wala na so jumped to bed and zZzzZZzzz(knocked down!).. 6.30am - Woke up when I heard a continuous knock and my name calling, it's my youngest brother telling me our brother is holding a gun.. I ran down as quick as I can and went straight to our garage at the back. There I saw my brother holding a gun pointing at his right temple. What is going on? I cannot believe my brother committing suicide. Suicide--- the topic discussed in our Ethics class which means destruction of one's own life and this is what my brother is trying to do... a Destructive way... Why would he dare terminate life given to him for nothing? and for others who committed suicide? There might be 3 reasons cited by Plato but this is life isnt? Even if its cruel, we have to deal with it because God gave us the chance to be here for he knows we are strong enough to surpass all challenges, and the fact he gave us family to be our inspiration.. Reminds us that no matter what, we do not have the rights to terminate our life. There are people who have only 6 months or 2 years to live whether they like it or not, those who are terminally ill. But what can they do? PRAY is the only thing they could.. Talking to God... At these terrible situations they dont have the choice but to refuse any treatment to end there suffering and for their family not to bear the pain they see in the person. Euthanasia is sometimes the choice of these people.Euthanasia which is really a hard decision to make especially when you know you have to for there are no more chances that our beloved one will live longer. Yes, Technologies are there but we are not eligible to force the person to live long with these life support machines. Only God can give and terminates life of one...For Witholding life support which was reported by Mr. Jornales & Ms. Cabanero, as for this there is nothing we could do for a patient when we know its helpless. Lets say yes we can put him into life support machines but that's wrong as we are prolonging a life needlessly. Not forever the family can afford to have the patient on a life support. And worse, it would be painful for them to see the patient suffering... A machine is needed if the person is rest assured that will live after these medications given. No physician, family member nor nurses can prolong one's life forcefully. The only thing we could give them is the dignity.....

I just hope my brother can realize how special he is to be chosen by God and be here. Whatever the situations he goes through I really hope he'll understand and besides Fate is not by chance but your choice. Life is precious, whether you like it or not this is life... Learn and do your best to deal with it.. Go with the flow as they say...

As for me, Im still there hanging on hoping I will get through. kahit kabilaan probs, ka2yanin ko toh.. kahi pa makalbo pa ulit..huh? makalbo n nmn? fine! ok lang im still pretty naman eh. hahaha... Im going insane.. effects of dehydration???...

There are still problems left unsorted.. So Lev, hang on! you still have a week nalang then you can rest from school and bawas na ang pressure and stress kahit papano... ANyways, thank God auntie mhai can come home. Sana God can grant my pray, mahuli ang Chona na yun for all the harsh she done to us...

Autonomy and Justice

I call myself as an "Individual" because I have all the rights and it is my obligation to be one. As an individual I have the autonomy and be treated fair and equal--- so called Justice. I am free to make any decisions for myself especially with my goals. No one can interfere with the decisions I have made nor treat me harshly.

Only not me possess these rights. Everybody is entitled to it.---that was before! what do I mean? Well from my observation, places are not the same. There are areas which autonomy and justice are still considered, as for some developing countries --- these two principle of ethics are taken away from these poor people. People today treat others who think are in their level without realizing how lucky they are. Am I making sense? hmmm.. are you kinda lost now? What am I talking about??? Oooookay.... It just stucked on my mind how hard life is today. At once I always thought that these "levels" they called do not exist but only a term of people who have high pride thinking they are richer from others and that they have the autonomy to control or interfere others.

From every news, poverty really is happening... There are people who lives now in slum areas, only eat twice a day, kids malnourished, and prone to illnesses. The government do not even act on this problem or is it because they cannot consider it as a problem? Even if these people say out their opinions nor ask for help for sure they would not be heard.

This is my example of a situation, or should I say my proof in which autonomy and justice are not equally practiced especially in providing health care.

The idea today --- Good service is only for those who can afford and let the poor to suffer.

Where is the principle of autonomy there while these people are not even allowed to make decisions for themselves instead these health care providers has the autonomy over them. Where is the justice? They are not treated equally as how they are suppose to be taken care of.

Autonomy and Justice needs to be practice more and I just hope these problems be solved. These are the only things they possess, so why not give what's best for them regardless of their situation and their inability to sustain their medical needs.

Human in reality...

Before I start with all these "conscience", I just have to show you this guys. It's a very unique in my opinion. This person has defined conscience and I really amazed me.

"Conscience, n. A disease of the spirit skin to indigestion of the stomach. It can be treated using the acceptance of those to whom one confesses and contraction can be prevented by always practicing safe crime — that is, only doing evil while part of a group."

Humans may tend to claim that their motives and intentions behind the struggle to achieve personal goals comes from a moral conscience, ultimately humans are driven by base, ulterior motives such as money, power, or fame.

Throughout history, we see many well-known people sacrifice their comfort and well-being to achieve a goal that all of humanity will benefit from it. Galileo risked the wrath of the church to publish his world-changing scientific discoveries while Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. risked their lives for peace and freedom. Though such seemingly selfless endeavors may have been driven by morals and ethics, it cannot be denied that ultimately these historical figures gained an unprecedented amount of fame and power in the form of influence on later generations of mankind. Trying to set an example, it is impossible to deny these decorated individuals weren't after making some kind of lasting impact on future generations in addition to their primary, selfless goals. Therefore, humans may be driven by their conscience, but ultimately, ulterior motives will compromise the integrity of such endeavors for no reason other than the inevitability of human nature.

Humans are selfish creatures by nature. In the Harry Potter series, Harry's hero, Dumbledore himself, once advocated the killing of weaker muggles for "the greater good", while actually fighting for power and the love of his partner. Therefore, it is evident that though humans may claim to be struggling to achieve some higher purpose, their intentions are in reality, quite rudimentary and selfish, and their actions will contradict their initial purposes.

Though many say money cannot buy happiness, money can change lives, so humans do try to attain material wealth. Actors visit third-world countries not only to help, but also to make themselves "look good". Presidents strive for the well-being of their nations, but also for power and eternal remembrance and glory in the records of history. Money and power are a significant driving force in human goals.

Humans may be driven by their conscience to try and change the world, but they are more likely driven by a material desire.

Conscience serves as the deceptive cover for an actually more base, and less noble endeavor that is actually driven by the selfishness innate in human nature.

Ethics.....

It is said that ethics is a practical and normative science.. Normative science as said in the book " establishes norms or standards for direction and regulation of human actions" ---- If there is such a standard how would an individual determine if the act done was right or wrong? Each Individual has different opinion and standards. I just think that no matter how morally responsible he is, there's always the tendency that for others are not ethical. Confusing but how far would you evaluate yourself? How far have you accomplished of practicing ethics with simple situations?

It is my first time to hear about Bioethics, maybe because people in the UK are not that really bothered to tackle things happening in Environment. The fact there are studies and experimenting on people, injecting medicines that would make a man's face look like an elephant. There were abortion, euthanasia and IVF. Technologies have done so much in medical field not to realize how immoral is it to play or come up with these things just to produce or get rid of something or should I say "someone". As for this how would we classify these people, was it vincible or invincible ignorance? We all know we do things that the fact we are aware of it and on the other hand, we tend to do things that we're unaware.

We are only human that has privileges and limitations. We came from the same journey, from conception as the beginning of life and until death and life. How come it seems that other individual acts as if they came from different journey, ethics is doing good... ethics is knowing what's right and wrong... knowing the difference of right from wrong...

Taught to be morally responsible but instead they'd go for the worse situation they could ever be. Makes me wonder about these knowledgeable people were hurriedly revising for there exams way back College just to pass their Health Ethics subject, didn't eve care to uderstand a single thing about Ethics and Life....

Basta ako! Ethics is doing good and knowing what's wrong, respecting other lives by giving guide and not interfere with someone's perception.

Our professor is really cool! Yesterday, at my Health Ethics class, Miss Mariale gave us a task to create a new blog account for our reaction papers that has to be done every friday, the class is going to love her as in..

Aside from that we can surf the net ^_^, We still have the excuse to stay in front of the PC and their parents won't have to scold them d ba?.

Anyway, I can't believe Ive been busy today until now.. I had to go to school for my books and RLE uniform, then about 12pm-- started cleaning my room again. Have to get it bright and tidy to make me comfy while revising for Anatomy, Bioethics, and PHC.
