A mafia boss was asked why he liked birds he replied “I like things that don't talk”. In the context of the conversation he was referring that most things that come out of peoples mouth aren't worth hearing.

As I grow older I find that statement becoming more and more true for me in my life. It's so rare when people are genuine anymore. Public figures spill more bilge out of there mouths, news has become different versions of a Jerry Springer show. People love to watch other peoples misery. It's sad to think that our best TV programs are about others misery. People torn to shreds in the media or politically and society eating it up. It's no wonder our country is in the state it's in.

A great man that most people could agree has a pretty clean record while alive said “let those without sin cast the first stone”--Jesus Christ.

Having made my share of mistakes in this life, paying a dear price in some instances. Carrying a back pack full of guilt that grows heavier as life becomes more clear. Turning left when we should turn right. Anyone that tells me they have no regrets or have lived a totally virtuous life is simply completely full of shit. In fact people who tell me that I find myself grabbing my ass so I don't take one up my own ass from this person.

This is why I like things that don't talk. If Washington idiots put as much time into finding a solution to our governments affairs as it did finding new dirt on this or that person. We would be the powerhouse of the world. Instead the news if filled with scandal, corporate greed and whatever other deviate garbage that can be dug up.

We all have a past and things we are regretful of ashamed of doing. Does that truly define us as humans? Is it possible to reform yourself to be a better person? I like to think so. If I took all the bad things and mistakes I have made, hell I should probably jump of a building. Instead of jumping it may be better to have learned from past mistakes, indescribable and move on with life in a new frame of perspective. Again I pose the question does someones past define who they are today?

Instead of looking at who a person is today, we want to cast the first stone. In more instances than not what people do to punish themselves for mistakes far out way any bullshit you can heap on. Something my wife hates for me to say “I am not a puppy who pissed the carpet and needs my nose rubbed in it, I get it and don't need you to remind me of my mistake”.

If someone is truly earnest and repentant of a past mistake then let it go. No matter how much press you give it, no matter how many times you blurt it out. It's never going to change. The only real change is what the person making the mistake has done to correct it. If real change has occurred then who is anyone to judge that. You hear so many people say a past mistake defines who a person is, if the person was truly repentant then no it does not. If anything it made that person stronger and better.

Some mistakes will most certainly preclude you from certain things in life. Consequences can have a very lasting shelf life as they should. It would be remiss to not say if your reading this and your a teen or in the early stages of your life. Consequences can follow you the whole of your life, make damn sure before you leap you know how deep the water is.

For most of us we remember our mothers most famous words “If you can't say something nice about somebody don't say anything at all”. Truer words never spoken!

Similar to Pythagoras, he too believed that everything had numerical relationships and it was up to the mind to seek and investigate the secrets of these relationships or have them revealed by divine grace. Pythagoras had only paved the way to the observation of numbers as archetypes rather than mere numerals. Numerology had not found favor with the Christian authority of the day and was assigned to the field of unapproved beliefs along with astrology and other forms of divination and "magic".[citation needed] Despite this religious purging, the spiritual significance assigned to the heretofore "sacred" numbers had not disappeared; several numbers, such as the "Jesus number" have been commented and analyzed by Dorotheus of Gaza and numerology still is used at least in conservative Greek Orthodox circles.[5][6] Numerology is prominent throughout Sir Thomas Browne's 1658 literary Discourse The Garden of Cyrus. Throughout its pages the author attempts to demonstrate that the number five and the related Quincunx pattern can be found throughout the arts, in design, and in nature - particularly botany. Modern numerology has various antecedents. Ruth A. Drayer's book, Numerology, The Power in Numbers (Square One Publishers) says that around the turn of the century (from 1800 to 1900 A.D.) Mrs. L. Dow Balliett combined Pythagoras' work with Biblical reference. Then on Oct 23, 1972, Balliett's student, Dr. Juno Jordan, changed Numerology further and helped it to become the system known today under the title "Pythagorean", although Pythagoras himself had nothing to do with the system.
