The Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana (Illinois) will be hosting our spring Obedience Trials June 7-8, 2014. The premium is available under Events.

We will be having ONLY Obedience this weekend, but we will have FOUR Rally Trials July 26-27; two each day. Hopefully this change will be more convenient for our exhibitors.

The week before our obedience trials, Saturday, May 31, we will having a match for both Rally and Obedience. We also plan on having a rent-a-ring June 7 after the Obedience Trial is completed.

We look forward to seeing you all again this year. We’ve tried to be responsive to what we hear might be helpful to you as exhibitors.

Stuart Mah Agility Seminar - Auditing - March 22-24, 2013

DTCCU will be hosting Stuart Mah March 22-24. There is a wait list for working spots but auditing opportunities are unlimited. You do NOT need to be competing in agility to audit any of the classes, everyone interested is welcome.
Lunch is included in the auditing fee all 3 days.

Friday's seminar will be for those competing at the Excellent/Master level. All day, 8:30-4:30.

Saturday's seminar will cover Course Analysis for Open-Masters exhibitors. All day, 8:30-4:30.

Auditing fees for each of the all day seminars are $40 for members and $50 for non-members.

Sunday will be divided into 2 classes. Sunday morning is for the Open level, and runs from 8-12. Novice will be from 12:30-4:30.

Auditing fee for the half day classes are $20/members/class, $30/non-members/class.

Please let me know soon if you are interested in attending, and what day(s) you are interested in attending. You can pay at the door the day of the event, but we need a head count to insure enough food and beverage.

She uses her extensive knowledge of canine drives to motivate the dog and turn training into a positive experience for an enthusiastic and accurate performance.

Saturday Aug 17th - Building Motivation and Drive for Obedience: In this seminar Denise will explain the basic drives and how to build them to a level they can be used in training and to develop focus in a competition dog. Participants will gain an understanding of their dog’s behavior, and learn specific techniques for working with their dog’s emotional state. In this seminar, examples will be Obedience focused throughout. Working time will mainly be in groups where participants will each receive one on one feedback on their drive building techniques. All techniques are play based and fun.
   Working (includes Sunday audit): $175 ($150 DTCCU members)

Sunday Aug 18th - Problem Solving For Competitive Obedience: This seminar allows extensive working time with each team. There is no group work.
