I also wanted to rock aviator sunglasses and a ponytail. Something different, straying from my usual "norm" for just a little bit. My black balenciaga bag wanted to come out and play again...

I've been watching Switched at Birth since the beginning. In this last season, newcomer, Stephanie Nogueras, fills in the role of taunting mean girl to Bay Kennish. In reality, Nogueras (model turned actress) was a big fan of the show. And she is deaf. When she heard auditioning calls for a new role on the show, she had to try. And succeed she did. She already had signing ASL down. I find every outfit that she wears on this show to be spot on. Think effortless/casual with bohemian undertones. What's not to like? I chose to wear this pretty pink print for our one year Anniversary dinner. The exposed zipper detailing in the back is genius! P.S. The puppy acted as part of my accessories for the day. Diamonds are a girl's best friend. An infatuation that starts very early on perhaps? I remember being a little girl and playing dress up amongst my Mom's jewelry. I would wonder what a diamond ring would look like on that finger. I even contemplated buying rings that looked like engagement rings just "for fun" because they looked pretty. Well, if you think along the same lines as I did, you too can play this game. Without putting a dent in your wallet, cubic zirconia rings are affordable enough to purchase on a budget. Also a wide selection of sterling silver rings are available. I'm so not a gold person. Before I got engaged recently, I remember googling celebrity engagement rings. When my boyfriend (now fiancé) finally popped the question, I found my ring to be more dazzling than anything I could have ever imagined. And, I found it to be prettier than any of the engagement rings the Sex and the City gals ever received. I'm one lucky girl! :)

"INSTAGRAM DIARY" MIAMI BEACH - April 2013

My stay this past week in Miami Beach with Jason was amazing! We even got to celebrate our
1 Year Anniversary whilst vacationing there. We had a special dinner at Barton G the Restaurant, where the food comes with a presentation that you will never forget. My filet mignon came with a 4 foot tall fork. (Regular silverware came with the dish, of course!) ;)

I experienced a very satisfying (yet ticklish!) pedicure from SALON VASO on the big day.

We got to bond with the newest addition to the family, a teeny tiny yorkshire terrier shih tzu mix. Only 11 weeks old. The most adorable puppy I have ever held.

I was happy to meet up with my cousin and her new beau for dinner and drinks. I chose to mix tribal prints for that night out.

We got plenty of sun. We had a very relaxing stay. I was also able to reunite with some of my family for a wonderful Sunday lunch. And, I was serenaded by my beau, who wrote me the most beautiful love song...
