Atif Aslam

Atif Aslam (born Mohammad Atif Aslam; 12 March 1983 in Wazirabad, Pakistan) is a Pakistani pop singer and film actor by having the lead role in the film Bol. He is widely recognized in South Asia and has given several hit songs such as Aadat, Woh Lamhe, Tere Bin, Bakhuda Tumhi Ho, Pehli Nazar Mein, Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Tu Jaane Na, Tere Liye. He is one of the most popular South Asian celebrity on Facebook with over 3.1 million fans. His powerful vocal belting technique and crooning voice made him popular among the industry. In 2008, he was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan.
Once when a singing competition was going on in his college, his friends suggested him to take part in it, as he had his own style of singing. He then presented "DOOR SE KOI AAYE" in his unique style and thus he got first prize in singing.
Atif's two songs featured in the Hollywood film Man Push Cart. Aadat, Ehsaas and Yakeen are the three tracks. Atif is the 3rd Pakistani singer after Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Strings to be featured in any Hollywood movie.

This film needs no introduction. The Golmaal series has been superhit uptil now (though I didn't quite like the second movie). The film stars majority of the previous actors like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade, and we'll get to see some new faces as well this time such as Kunal Khemu, Mithun Chakraborty, Ratna Pathak, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Vijay Pathak. Bol is a 2011 Urdu-language social drama Lollywood film written, directed and produced by Shoaib Mansoor. The feature film was released on 24 June 2011. The film stars Humaima Malik, Atif Aslam, Mahira Khan, Iman Ali, Shafqat Cheema, Manzar Sehbai, Zaib Rehman and Amr Kashmiri in the lead roles. There was heavy scepticism about whether or not Atif Aslam would be able to meet the requirements of his role when he was first announced as the lead.

Atif Aslam, who features in the film as a doctor, in an interview stated, "I have done two songs for the soundtrack. It’s been a great experience working with Shoaib Mansoor, he is an amazing person and very dedicated. My role isn’t controversial and we discussed it beforehand. It’s a film that is being made for a good cause". The film was reviewed by the Central Board of Film Censors in Lahore on 8 November 2010 and received its approval the next day. Bol is set in Lahore and many students from National College of Arts' (NCA) filmmaking department have assisted Shoaib Mansoor on it.
