This book is 2 ½ to 3 hours long if you are reading it straight through. It is written for an age level of 9 to 99 with parents reading it first to see if it is suitable enough for your children to read….It is a counseling tool for homes and different facilities. These are true stories. Some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

1. Chapter one talks about “Hidden Roots” - It deals with overcoming abuse, molestation and sickness, which cause bitterness.

2. Chapter two deals with “A Touch of Humility” - It talks about how unforgiving spirits will not get us to heaven. Harboring un-forgiveness will only lead to bitterness and bitterness causes diseases…Once we let these things go and humble ourselves healing and deliverance began to take place in our lives.

3. Chapter three & four is dealing with a Message called The Sycamine Tree - These chapters takes you back to your childhood days of experiencing some hurtful incidents that you maybe carrying in your heart even today and you refuse to let them go…

4. Chapter five deals with Beautiful Painted Pictures - It talks about when you have surrendered your life to the Lord and you are doing all the right things, thinking on pure and holy thoughts. Yet, Satan knows that you are still vulnerable and he set a trap to pull you back in through your unsaved friends.

9. Chapter eleven & twelve concludes with a Message based on how “Your Faith is a terrible thing to Waste” – The conclusion of this chapter has a story about Faith and Hope meeting at a crossroad. Faith tells Hope to join him on the other side of the Jordan River because there are some people that he needs to talk with on the Riverbed and those folk are: Misery, Depression, Suicide and a Grieving Mother that lost her little girl to Molestation….

We find it is easy to have faith when things are going well in our lives. But the test of true faith come when trails come Oh, yes they will come as sure as the sun rise in the east and set in the west. In the Book of James 1:2-12, his letter deals primarily the practical of our Christian faith every day.
I take God at His word everyday And you must do the same.Yes,we live in a world where suffering is like a unwanted guest. As long as we live we will never be able to prevent trials from bringing pain and sorrow into our lives. Bad things often happen to good people who are struggling every day of their lives to humbly with God. Nevertheless, James makes a plea for every Christian to rejoice in our suffering.
The testing of your faith in Jesus Christ and knowing that he will never leave your nor for sake you. Such testing develop patience and perseverance.

God's Promise for Faithful Givers

It was somewhat hard for me understand why bad things happen to so many people in Joplin, Mo. In May 2011. Was the deadliest year for tornadoes since 1950 I know and believe that God has a purpose for everything. The scriptures tells us in Isaiah 45:5-7 (NIV)

I am the LORD, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,
so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
men may know there is none besides me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.
God demonstrated his control over our lives every day. Our God is absolute he has dominion and over the universe, the weather on this earth and the political climate of nations.
Some feel like quarreling with the Maker that goes far beyond the spirited dialogue that Moses, Job, and Jeremiah engaged in. Isaiah 45:9-12 (NIV) is describing an insolent assault on God's competence.
"Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter, `What are you making?' Does your work say, `He has no hands'?
Woe to him who says to his father, `What have you begotten?' or to his mother,`What have you brought to birth?'
"This is what the LORD says-- the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come,
do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands? It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

Not only is it wrong, it is ridiculous--as ridiculous as a pot complaining about the shape the potter gives it.
In Romans 9:20, Paul applies this analogy to complaints that God had treated the Jews unfairly.
But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, `Why did you make me like this?' " Romans 9:20 (NIV)

"I Won't Complain"

Do everything without complaining or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.
But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Some people may asked. What is the belief defined my God? To be saved you must believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior. It's not enough to say that you believe in God, the demons believe in God also.(James 2:19) Jesus is Lord is the confession of faith. True belief begin with the heart as the Holy Spirit open your heart to the truth .(1Co 12:3) The gospel message that God sent His Son Jesus, who died for our sins and on the third day he rose. Those who believe and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord died and was raised from the dead will be saved.

It's never too late and too soon to come to our Lord Jesus Christ, just come as you are any time, any place.

Faith That Saves / Born Again

Acts 16:29-32 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." 32Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17) The faith we have is anchored in our relationship with the true and living Lord. That's what it means to be saved. Paul said, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved" (Romans 10:9-10). And by hearing the word of God and confessing with their mouth the jailer and his household was saved.
To be assured of salvation, simply take God at His Word:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)

THE COMMITMENT

I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

PRAYER OF COMMITMENT

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins.
I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.
In Jesus name. Amen.

COMING BACK TO CHRIST

If you have failed to follow Christ and you are sorry and you are ready to come back to Him, Here is what you must do.

1. Confess your sins.

The Bible says, If we confess our sins,he is faithful and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9

2. Surrender your life to God's control.

The Bible says, Do not offer the parts of your body to sin... but rather offer yourselves to GOD. Romans 6:13

3. As for daily strength to stay on God's pathway.

The Bible says, I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Calendar of Daily Bible Flash Movies

He is all powerful He is all we need.
The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (Psalms 24:8) in any battle we may face in today and tomorrow.
We must keep the faith and trust him. Think about it I know!
God has worked miracles in your life and he will continue to do so
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (Eph 3:20) And that power is the holy spirit. March 06,2011
Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake and the General Board of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) are saddened by the passing of General Board Member and former Presiding Bishop Chandler David Owens.

Bishop Chandler David Owens has died at 79 years of age in Atlanta, Georgia. An internationally known leader, Bishop Owens for more than 35 years faithfully served as a member of the General Board of the Church of God in Christ and from 1995-2000, as Presiding Bishop of the church.

Presiding Bishop Blake, says “the Former Presiding Bishop, Chandler David Owens’ contribution to the Church of God in Christ will forever be remembered in the annals of church history with gratitude, fondness, and respect. Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate his life.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 1, 1931, Bishop Owens started preaching as a young child; his ministry spanned more than seven decades. He was a lifelong member of the church, traveled globally and ministered in practically every state in America.

He first pastored in Newark, NJ at the Wells Cathedral COGIC, where he served for over 33 years until his move to the state of Georgia. While in New Jersey, Bishop Owens was also the Jurisdictional Prelate of the Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Bishop Owens, with dedication and loyalty, served the Church of God in Christ in various leadership roles, including International President of the Youth Congress, Chairman of the Constitution Committee Second Assistant Presiding Bishop and First Assistant Presiding Bishop, Preacher, Teacher, Pastor of the Greater Community Church in Marietta, Georgia and Prelate of Central Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

His heart for missions led him to establish, financially and through various other means, churches, schools and transportation for ministries in the Philippines, India, Malawi and Central Africa.

Bishop Owens will always be remembered for his electrifying oratory. His lifetime of experience at every level of church affairs made him a venerable fountain of wisdom and knowledge.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Shirley Owens and three children, Chandler David II, Chandra Stephanie and Shirilitha Jeanette (deceased). He is the proud and loving grandfather of seven grandchildren.

The Church of God in Christ is the fourth-largest Protestant religious denomination in the United States, with churches in 60 countries worldwide and a membership of nearly 6.5 million members
If we want blessings from God, nothing can fetch them down but faith. Prayer cannot draw down answers from God’s throne except it be the earnest prayer of the man who believes. Faith is the angelic messenger between the soul and the Lord Jesus in glory. Let that angel be withdrawn, we can neither send up prayer, nor receive the answers. Faith is the telegraphic wire which links earth and heaven-on which God’s messages of love fly so fast, that before we call he answers, and while we are yet speaking he hears us. But if that telegraphic wire of faith be snapped, how can we receive the promise? Am I in trouble?-I can obtain help for trouble by faith. Am I beaten about by the enemy?-my soul on her dear Refuge leans by faith. But take faith away-in vain I call to God. There is no road betwixt my soul and heaven. In the deepest wintertime faith is a road on which the horses of prayer may travel-aye, and all the better for the biting frost; but blockade the road, and how can we communicate with the Great King? Faith links me with divinity. Faith clothes me with the power of God. Faith engages on my side the omnipotence of Jehovah. Faith ensures every attribute of God in my defence. It helps me to defy the hosts of hell. It makes me march triumphant over the necks of my enemies. But without faith how can I receive anything of the Lord? Let not him that wavereth-who is like a wave of the Sea-expect that he will receive anything of God! O, then, Christian, watch well thy faith; for with it thou canst win all things, however poor thou art, but without it thou canst obtain nothing. “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

"This Too Shall Pass"- Yolanda Adams
This scripture about a "virtuous woman" who is also a wife and mother is meant to be a guideline. Perhaps some things have changed according to today's standards, but women can learn from this woman's wise use of God blessings. Her abilities, her wisdom and her helpfulness to her husband are examples to her children and to women. Regardless to the changes in today's standards, marriage should be for a life time, an affair is only for a season.

Prov 31:10-31 (KJV)
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Standing On Holy Ground

When we do recognize and listen and obey what God has for us to do. When God want his will done on earth he uses men and women. Are you ready for God’s assignment?

Ex 3:1-12 (KJV) 1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. 7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. 11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

Hold On And Wait

Is There Anything Too Hard For God? The answer is nothing is too hard for God

You say: “It’s impossible” God says: All things are possible (Luke 18:27)

You say: “I’m too tired” God says: I will give you rest (Mat.11:28-30

You say: “Nobody loves me" God says: I love you (John 3:16)

You say:“I can’t figure things out" God says: I will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6)

You say: “I can’t do it” God says: You can do all things (Philippians 4:13)

You say: “I’m not able” God says: I am able (II Corinthians 9:8)

You say: “I can’t go on” God says: My grace is sufficient (II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalm 91:15)

You say: “It’s not worth it” God says: I Forgive you (I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1)

You say: “I can’t manage” God say: I will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19)
