This change to the algorithm will affect a small number of advertisers -- while having a positive impact on the quality of ads that Google users see. Here's a little background, and a look at what's coming up:
As you may recall, Google began incorporating advertiser landing page quality into the Quality Score back in December 2005. Following that change, advertisers who are not providing useful landing pages to Google users will have lower Quality Scores that in turn result in higher minimum bid requirements for their keywords. Google realize that some minimum bids may be too high to be cost-effective -- indeed, these high minimum bids are google way of motivating advertisers to either improve their landing pages or to simply stop using AdWords for those pages, while still giving some control over which keywords to advertise on. Although it is counter-intuitive to some who hear it, Google had rather show one less ad than to show an ad which leads to a poor user experience -- since long-term user trust in AdWords is of overarching importance.
From time-to-time, Google improve it's algorithms for evaluating landing page quality (often based on feedback from Googles end-users), and next week Google launching another such improvement. Thus, over the coming days a small number of advertisers who are providing a low quality user experience on their landing pages will see increases in their minimum bids. It is important to note, however, that the vast majority of advertisers will not be affected at all by this change, as they link to quality landing pages.
If you do see an increase in minimum bids and you feel that your landing page is providing a great user experience, please contact AdWords support and Google'll take a look. Also, for useful guidelines which will help to define what users look for in a high quality site, Google hope they'll take a look at the landing page and site quality guidelines, from the AdWords Help Center.

Yahoo To Close A Deal With AOL

The latest twist that is the share killing saga of the Microsoft Yahoo buyout hit us today - with news that Yahoo is close on closing a deal to merge with AOL.

Note, if you don't want your Google ads to show on Yahoo, you need to opt your ads out on showing on third party search providers. In any event, some advertisers are noticing that their Google ads are showing up in Yahoo sponsored results.

As expected, the ads don't appear as AdSense ads - they simply look like Yahoo ads. SEW moderator explains, "Yahoo seems to be configured as a Google Search Partner, not as an AdSense publisher." In addition, he adds, "Initially (i.e. earlier today) I was only seeing my ad a small percent of the time (i.e. Yahoo was only including it on a fraction of the SRPs for a given search), but now I'm seeing my ad 100% of the time." But the ad is only showing when he stopped showing his native Yahoo ad, i.e. the Google ad won't show for him until he tells Yahoo to stop showing his Yahoo ad.

Promotional Credit Code From MSN Adcenter of $75

Hi All

- No. You're not using a Google Account, so you can select a new login by linking your AdSense account to a Google Account. If you'd like to pause your payments, you may do so from within your publisher account. Setting a payment self-hold will stop payments until you update your preference and remove the hold. your account will continue to accrue earnings, and Google'll send you a single consolidated payment during the first payment cycle after you remove your hold. To modify your hold preference:
Log in to your account at www.google.com/adsense
Click the My Account tab
Click the edit link in the Payment Holding section
To start a payment self-hold, select the Hold Payment checkbox and click Save. To end a hold and resume regular payments, deselect the checkbox and click Save.

One of the more common questions Google receive at AdSense support is, "when am I paid?" This is, in Google opinion, a very justifiable question - after all, AdSense is designed to provide an easy way to monetize your content pages, and that includes regular payment.

This section will describe the payment cycle of your AdSense account, so that you'll have a good idea of when and how your payment will arrive.

Earnings calculated: On the last day of each month, Google system identifies all accounts that have earned $100 or more in valid user clicks. This figure is calculated from your unpaid earnings - if you earned $40 one month, and $70 the next, you're eligible for payment. All accounts with $100 or more are then sent for approval. Earnings details will be posted to the Payment History page of all publisher accounts within the next few days.

Payment calculated: Within the next few Googleeks, a 'Payment' line item will be posted to your account's Payment History page (found below the My Account tab) when your payment has been calculated.

At this time, Google'll have your check printed and in the mail, or your Electronic Funds Transfer payment initiated. All checks are made out to the Payee Name entered in your account; EFT payments are sent to the bank account specified in the Payment Information section of the My Account tab.

Payment arrives: The time it takes for your payment to arrive depends on form of payment you have selected. Generally, publishers in the U.S. will receive regular delivery checks within 1-2 Googleeks of the mailing date, while publishers outside of the U.S. will typically receive their regular delivery check in 2-3 Googleeks. Secure Delivery will generally arrive in 5-7 days, and EFT payments should arrive in your bank account within 2-4 days. If there are any problems with your EFT or check, a notice will be posted on your Payment History page. If you haven't received your secure delivery or EFT payment by the 5th of the next month, you can request a reissue by contacting us. Publishers using standard delivery can request a reissue on the 25th.

Yahoo Search Marketing Promotional Credit Of $50

There are no changes to your AdSense ad code, so you can create your channels from within your publisher account, and immediately begin tracking performance.

You can use URL channels to track individual pages, or to track groups of pages based on the directory structure of your site.

To track a single page : enter the full path of the page in step 3 below:

Example : freeinfodownload.com/site_map.php

To track a script that generates multiple pages : enter the full path of the script, without the '?', in step 3 below. This will track freeinfodownload.com/attorney.php?keyword=low cost attorney, freeinfodownload.com/attorney.php?keyword=two , etc.

Example : freeinfodownload.com/attorney.php

To track all pages below a specific directory : enter a partial URL in step 3 below.

Example : freeinfodownload.com/loan.html

To track only pages across a specific subdomain : enter the subdomain in step 3 below.

Example : sports.freeinfodownload.com

To track all pages on a domain: enter the domain name in step 3 below. To track all impressions and clicks across the domain (including any existing subdomains), enter the domain name without the 'www'.

Example : freeinfodownload.com

AdSense Channels Reporting

This is the most important part of all. We have created channels and now we have to make sure that what are working best for us.
To get the report we have to follow some steps

1. After logging in, click on the link to 'Advanced Reports'

2. Select the product you're tracking: AdSense for content or AdSense for search.

3. Then click the radio button labeled Channel data.

4. Next choose the date range in which you're interested.

5. Now choose the channels for which you'd like to assemble a report by using the check boxes.
According to the naming convention described in the custom channels section, if you wanted to find all of the channels associated with your home page, you'd type 'Home' in the 'Find Channels' box. Similarly, if you wanted to find all of the channels associated with rectangular ad boxes, you'd search for 'Rect'. Once you've completed the search, you can simply select all of the results or choose them individually.

6. Once you've selected the desired channels, decide how you'd like to group the data.

A) For a day-by-day report of the data from the selected channels choose the Date radio button.

B) For an aggregate report of channel statistics over a selected date range, choose the Channels radio button.

7. Finally, click the Display Report button
Now You can understand which ad units are working for you and the getting most $$$

Custom channels can be used to help you track which ad colors, formats, and placements are most effective on your site, or to provide answers to questions like:

Which ad units are the highest earners on my home page?
Leaderboard at the top of the page?
Rectangle in the middle of an article?
Skyscraper on the right side of the page?
Link unit under the left navigation?
Do my ads perform better with or without a border?
How does revenue for each of my AdSense for search boxes compare?
To get the most out of custom channels, it's best to track every ad unit. This way you'll have a core set of reports that you can use to aggregate data from all of your ad units, or to combine in different variations to gain deeper insight into your site's AdSense performance and to answer the kinds of questions listed at the top of this section.

Creating Custom Channels

Understanding how you can use custom channels to answer the questions above will be essential in optimizing your AdSense ad unit performance. Let's take a closer look in the following example.

Scenario: Nikhil owns a blog about medical information. His homepage currently has three ad units and one link unit, and Nikhil wants to find out which of the units is performing most effectively. To do so, he'll create a separate custom channel for each of the four units to monitor their performance.

Creating and implementing custom channels requires a more involved process than that for URL channels. No worries - we'll show you how to create custom channels in 4 easy steps:

Start off by logging in to your account and clicking the AdSense Setup tab, followed by the Channels link. For this scenario, we'll be looking at AdSense for content custom channels, so make sure you're on the right product and channel subtab. Then click the Add new custom channel

The next step is naming your channels.

It's important to be precise and consistent when naming custom channels. The more information you provide in the name about where and how the ad unit is being used, the easier it will be to identify later, when you're generating your channels reports. For the example used here, we suggest names like:

HomeTopLeaderMedicoCareEarth
HomeMidRectMedicoCareEarth
HomeRightSkyscpMedicoCareEarth
HomeLeftNavLinksMedicoCareEarth

You'll notice that all of these names follow the pattern Page+Location+Ad Format+Color Palette. This is a pattern useful, but feel free to use whichever method works best for you.

Enter the channel names into the new channel box and click Add channels.

Now you can create your channel-specific ad code. Once your names are in place, click the AdSense Setup tab, then choose AdSense for content as the product.

Continue to choose the ad type, ad format, and color palette as you would normally, then in the Channels section,

select the name of the channel(s) you'd like to add by clicking the Add>> link (you can add up to 5),
and click Continue to see your choices reflected in the ad layout code.
Finally, you'll copy-and-paste the code into your webpages. The channel identifier within your code will immediately begin tracking performance. If you already have ad code on these pages, you should replace it with the new channel-specific code.
Repeat the process for each of the ad units you'd like to track.

What Is URL Channels Of AdSense

URL channels are used track ad performance across an entire domain, across a subdomain, within directories and for individual pages. They can help you answer questions like:
Which of my domains is generating the most revenue?
On what sections of my site are ads performing best? Articles? Forums? Blog?
Creating URL Channels
URL Channels are easy to create and implement through your AdSense account. To find out how, let's take a look at an example.
Scenario: Pooja owns a site about Latest News -- www.ExampleNews.com -- and wants to know if her AdSense ads are performing better on article pages or in forum sections.
She would do this in 2 easy steps:
The first step is to log in and click on the AdSense Setup tab. A row of links will appear beneath the tabs - click the Channels link.
Next, make sure you are on the subtab for the right product -- AdSense for content or AdSense for search -- and that you're creating a URL channel rather than a custom channel. Click the Add new URL channel link, then create a new channel for each directory by entering their addresses (omitting the 'www') into the resulting box.

AdSense Channels Optimizing

You can keep a track from where you are getting major amount of click and which are the best ad unit.
You can do this by creating channels in AdSense.
Google AdSense offers this feature to fine tune your adsense programe & Profit of it.
2 good questions that I have in my mind is something like this.

Where is AdSense earning me the most revenue?
How can I use this knowledge to help me to earn even more?
I found some answer of it in AdSense help center.
According to them many publisher has changed the way they earn from AdSense by making simple changes. Then why can't we do that where ever it's good for our site or blog.
You can make some changes in ad format, ad color, and most important ad placement.
This is one of the vital thing to keep in mind. Like lods of ad can make the visitor confused and can lower the earning. So, using proper ad's and in perfect place is the key of more $$$.
Channels offer a deeper level of analysis than that provided by overall revenue reports. They allow you to break down reporting to monitor the performance of sites, sections of sites, or even individual ad units. Any time a channel is created, AdSense will record impressions, CTR, CPM, and earnings statistics for that specific page or ad unit.
This provides you with a precise method of evaluating which sites and which locations will enable you to realize your maximum earning potential.
AdSense offers two kinds of channels: URL Channels, for domain, sub-domain, and page-specific reports, and Custom Channels, for more granular reports specific to an ad unit or ad placement.

Will Google Send A Form 1099 Or 1042

Publishers are responsible for paying their own taxes resulting from participation in Google AdSense.
