Brian Burkhartz, and his family from our local area found Family RV by driving by our company lot and stopping in.Traveled to Mt. Madonna for their daughters wedding.

Mount Madonna Center is a conference and retreat center located on 355 acres of mountain-top redwood forest and grassland overlooking Monterey Bay, between Santa Cruz and Monterey, in Northern California. We used the RV as a dressing room for our daughter to prepare for her wedding.

The Holidays...an opportunity?

I am often fascinated by the traditions of different family's, at any point in time, but especially around a "holiday", or a birthday, or an anniversary. Whether it is the 4th of July or the 5th of May I love hearing about and even more so experiencing the great variety of ways that a group of individuals can celebrate a "day". One commonality that seems to course through each and every event that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of, is opportunity.

Right? An opportunity to commune, to break bread with old friends and reminisce on the past. An opportunity to gather as a family and dote on the new, learn from the old, and compare notes on the state of things, typically while stuffing your face. It is an opportunity to reflect and perhaps adjust. It can also be an opportunity, to intentionally, go, or do, or see, or try, something entirely new.

A tradition of being non-traditional...?

Whatever the case, whatever your "holiday" consists of, I hope it is a good one and brings to you the right opportunity or opportunities.

     I was sitting here, working diligently (I swear I was) and I looked up momentarily at the wall directly in front of me. The wall is, well, a wall, it is more or less straight, it spans the room, it is covered in paneling, not unlike the kind that you would find in a new RV. The wall has posters hanging from it and a window, even an outlet! However what caught my eye this time when I looked up was a series of framed pictures. Pictures of people. Pictures of people doing something that they love. Pictures of people beginning an adventure or summing one up. Pictures of people preparing or perhaps in the midst of making memories. Whatever the case, in every picture, those people, are smiling.

    It struck me.   When you are involved on the service side of helping people with their vacation or with a hobby, you can get lost in the business aspect. Right? Sometimes you get lost in the spreadsheets and the necessities of running a business, that is until you look up and you see a wall full of people smiling at you.

    I dove into the archives of Family RV and started looking at other pictures, we have tons! In one folder alone there are 476 pictures of people smiling, just one folder. The only other place I know of that might have that would be either Disney Land or a dentist's office!

   Smiles. I almost want to suggest changing our mission statement to something like, "Family RV facilitates smiling."

   Family RV, however, is not in the business of making people smile, we are in the business of facilitating the creation of memories. That's what we do. No matter which side of the Family RV plate you eat from, no matter if you purchased something from us, or rented a rig, or brought something in for us to work on, or whatever or however we were able to serve you, that is what we and you and that rig are doing, creating memories.

Thank you for including us in the process, for allowing us to make memories with you, and for letting us see your smile!

We used the Panther for Burning Man 2014 and after this experience I would never head back without a camper or trailer. We loved working with Family RV. Good day.

I hope this email finds you in good health and spirits.

I would like to enlighten you with what has happened this past year and what we will be working on this fall.

Our new location in Morgan Hill has allowed us to better display RV’s and has brought our service department to a newer level. If you have had the opportunity to visit you’ve noticed that our sales, rental and service offices are joined together which allows a better flow for customers and better communications. If you have not visited yet please stop by soon and say hi.

This location has given us more exposure for the rentals, sales and service business and therefore more customers have visited our lot. Our biggest concern is that we do not have enough new and used inventory to satisfy our customers needs at this time. The RV industry is up over 30% in sales and the factories cannot deliver product which has caused many delays. Although this curbs new sales it helps sell the used product and actually increases the value of the used that are now available. So if you do have an older RV let’s look at the numbers and get it ready for the market at the end of this rental season.

This Labor Day weekend we have 98% of the rental RVs on the road and most will be returning in the first week of September. We will then bring them one by one into our service shop and get them ready to sell or put on display for the next rental customer. I know some of you will want to take them home or start using them yourself; some of you will want us to sell them this fall. Whatever your desire let us know and we will make it happen.

In an effort to better understand your RV I am having Rick and Justin review your RV and how it has been doing since you have consigned it with us. In doing so we will better understand how we have been performing for you. Once we get this done we will be sending you this information and would like you to review and hopefully set up an appointment to visit us and go over your RV and its performance.

We have found out that the newer the RV is, the better the performance is for the rental customers and also the consignment owners. So let’s really look at your RV numbers this fall see how it is doing and set some goals and objectives. I know working together and understanding each persons needs is important in moving forward.

We should have this data compiled in a few weeks and would like to sit down with you to review this information. Once you have had reviewed this let’s look at your RV and set a plan to move forward !

I have known Alan Cezar for 24 years. He and his professional staff have always been ready to bend over backwards to make my rental experience quite pleasant. Subrina, his long time staff person in the office has always been the person ready to help with any rental questions. I rent an RV once a year and go on the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County fall ride with horses. Of course we always have a great time. If the weather turns bad, other riders pile into the RV to keep dry and warm. Alan and his son Justin have always been fun to talk to and joke around with. Example, I have kidded Alan for years that if I ever get to 25 years of renting from him, that he should give me a free rental. Even though we had an electrical issue with the unit we rented, after a quick call to FRV they had a service person out to fix it within the day. The only place to rent an RV
My family and I own an RV and we rent our RV with Family Rv. We rented before we bought and I could not be happier with our entire experience. A NASCAR pit crew taking care of your RV. The maintenance is tops, the rental care and payment is quick and clear. I see other rental decals on some RV's out there and I feel bad that they did not get to experince Family RV. Montana bound
We had a fantastic 2,500 mile trip to Glacier National Park, Montana form June 6 to July 15, 2014. Both my husband (a seasoned RV driver) and myself drove our 30 ft. Chalet over mountains, and into tiny mining towns. It drove like a dream, and our two children read and played comfortably. We would definitely rent here again. The staff is fantastic and available for any help you might have on the road.

I bought a 2007 R-Vision Boogie Box from Rick in 2007. Unit has pretty much been trouble free. Of course with wear and tear issue come up.
